Chapter Text

Waking up this morning I knew today was going to be terrible. Not only did mum leave earlier for the airport for a business thing this morning but now I'm %99 sure I have a fever, which means I'm stuck going to school. " yayy," I say out loud sarcastically. at least I'll get to see Charlie today that'll make me feel a lot better. I quickly get at least half decent for school and grab my bag and an apple hoping I can at least stomach that for the day at least intill lunch.  

And turns out the worlds hates me cause halfway to school I realized I forgot my jacket which you see wouldn't have been an issue if it didn't start fucking pouring rain out.

Finally after a long and wet 20-minute walk I finally made it to school but turns out I missed breakfast; I've never been so happy for an apple in my life. I ended up sleeping through my first four class which means its finally time to see Charlie ... I mean for lunch I'm not whip. I guess I didn't realize how bad I looked because suddenly Charlie appeared " NI - you don't look so good,'' Charlie said with the cutest puppy dog eyes the world has ever seen. Yea never mind I'm totally fucking whip for this boy.

'' well that's rude, '' I reply jokey.  

''nooo , I just mean you look pale as a ghost. Are you sick?'' he replies quickly.

'' I know I'm just messing with you. and yea I'm just a bit under the weather.'' I replied. 

He gently hugs me saying,'' are you sure because I can skip lunch and we can go to the nurse office.''

'' I'm fine I promises, but I know we need food,'' I replied softly. 

"' If you're sure,'' he says well letting me go and gently kiss my cheek.

I grab his hand. "I am,'' I say as I start walking to the lunchroom.

(It going to switch between first, second and third person in this paragraph) 

Nick and Charlie both only grab a slice of pizza and a juice. As they both are just picking at their food nick didn't miss Charlie's worried looks and after like the 4th time getting slightly annoyed.

''I'm not dying char, it's just a little fever.' nick whispered.

With a rise in his eyebrow Charlie says, ''well I know your mothers out for the next 2 days so I'm going to spend the night because I don't want you alone when you're sick.''

Knowing there's no changing his mind ''I don't mind the company but please don't mother hen me,'' nick replied with a frown as he rests his chin on his hand.

The bell rings for the end of his lunch period 

''o I'm definitely going to Mother Hening you.'' Charlie replied as he stands up and kiss me on the forehead and walks away with a smirk.

''jerk,'' I yelled slightly with an attempted of a mean tone but it still sounded fond. 

Ding I look at my phone. 

(My mom can drop us off at your place after work. just text me if you start to feel worse. ❤) from char🍂

I replied (Ok let your mom know I said thank you, and I will don't worry so much. 💕) Nick finished his lunch up and headed to his next class.

During nick second to last class of the day he started to feel worse and ended up asking the teacher if he could be excused to go to the nurse's office. He ended getting to spend the rest of the school day laying down in there. He was resting with his eyes closed when his phone rang.

Incoming call from char🍂

He answered, " hey Charlie.''

''Hey, my mom's about 5 mins away if you want to meet me out front,'' he said. 

''ok I'll be there in a few minutes, thanks.'' nick replies. 

'' k see you in a sec,''' char say before hanging up. 

nick grabs his bag and thanks the nurse on his way out. 

He walks up and see Charlie '' hey char.'' nick says sleepily. Charlie turns around with a small frown and hugs nick. Nick gently lays his head on Charlie shoulder,'' You're feeling worse aren't you.'' Charlie whispers. nick nods his head. Charlie gives him a squeeze as he reply's, 'well my mom's here so let get you home and in bed.''  even when they let go of each other Charlie still holds nick waist as the walk to his mum's car.  

''hey mum'', ''hey miss. spring'' both of the boys say as they buckle in.

"Hey kiddos, how are you feeling nick?'' miss spring asks in a kind tone.

''thank you for asking, I'm ok just really tired,'' nick replies.

''ok, are you both ready to go?''

''yep'', ''yes'' both boys say.

As they're driving Charlie feel a weight on his shoulder and he realizes that nick feel asleep, so he gently wraps his arm around him. When nick leans into him more Charlie smiles down at him with so much love in his eyes not realizing that his mom was smiling at them through the rear-view mirror.

Chapter Text

lie, Charlie time wake up,'' Charlie's mom says as she gently shakes his shoulder. ''What,'' mumbles still mostly asleep.

'''We are at nicks place' Charlie mom says as she grabs a bag from the passenger's seat. ''Oh. nick time to wake up.'' Charlie says gently as he rubs nick face trying to wake him up.

'Five more minutes mom,'' nick mumbles. Charlie and his mom gently laugh then Charlie reply's,'' No nick it's time to wake up.''

Nick sits up from where his was rested on Charlie's shoulder and grabbing his bag and starts to get out of the car not before of courser thanking Charlie mom for the ride. 

Before Charlie was out the car his mom stops him '' here's a bag of some soup and medicine. Take good care of that boy he seems like such a sweet kid,'' his mom reply quick.

''He is mom and thank again for the ride. I should go before that sweet boy falls on his face,'' Charlie say. Both let out a quick laugh.

''Ok just text me if you guys need something, I love you.'' Charlie mom says.

Charlie gets out the car.'' I will, and I love you two,'' he says before shutting the back car door softly.

Charlie waves at his mom as she drives away then he turns around and walks up to nick and says,'' let's get you inside.'' As he puts one his hand on nick back gently guiding them both inside.

(This is where it's going to switch to Charlie's Pov)

As I guided nick though his front door I told him,'' how about you go get into some comfortable clothes and I'll get everything else ready.'' ''Ok.'' nick replied in the quietest voice that I've ever heard him speak in before as he walked away to his bedroom.

I knew I only had a couple of minutes, so I quick got starred. First, I fill up a kettle and got it started on the stove as that was heating up. I then grabbed some blankets and pillows and got the couch set up. Once the couch looked comfy enough I on turned the tv on and put on iron man cause that boy is in love with this movie. {Kettle whistle} rushing to grab that off the stove and start preparing the tea the way nick likes. As I finish on the tea's I grab the thermometer and the bag my mom gave me and take to the Livingroom. As I turn the corner to the Livingroom, I see the most adorable sight I've even seen! He looks like a baby bear with how cuddly he looks in that oversized hoodie that probably belong to his mom or dad judging by how it goes almost to his knees in length.

''You didn't have to do all of this Charlie,'' nick says. '' Yes, I did'' I rely with a soft smile. 

'' You really didn't because you alone is enough, 'nick replies. this boy will be the death of me. 

 I quickly set the stuff that I had in my hand down on the table and walked over to him to give him a quick kiss. '' That was the cringest thing you have ever said.'' I say.

''But you loved it,'' he says laughing as he goes to sit on the couch.

'' Shut up, but seriously how about you get comfy and take your temp. I'm going to go change really quick.'' I reply before leaning down and giving him a kiss on the forehead.

As I come back to the living room, I see nick looking the most relaxed I've seen him all week. All curled up under the blankets sipping his tea and watching the movie previews for iron man even though he's seen them more than 1,000 times before. I almost feel bad to disturb him,'' how bad is your temp.'' I ask in a quiet voice in order to not startle him.

Even with my best attempt he still jumps a bit. ''Its 101, but I feel fine char just a bit tired.'' he says well looking at me with the sweetest eyes the world has ever known.

''My mom gave me some medicine that should help bring that down,'' I say as I get it from the bag then I squeeze in next to nick on the couch and he hands me half the blanket.

''Your mom is the sweetest person I've ever meant,'' nick says as I open the bottle.

I reply as I hand the 2 pills to him, 'She really is, here you can take 2 every six hours.'' as he swallows them, I get comfy under the covers.

He sets his tea down then leans head on my shoulder and wraps one arm around my stomach and I then wrap my arms around him. As he cuddles closer the move starts to play. Even with how big nick is comparted to me I feel like I've never held anything smaller in my arms before. About 30 minutes into the movie, I hear the cutest snoozers coming from nick. So I give him a gently squeezed and kiss on the top of his head before I lay my head on his and start to doze off with iron man in the background.
