Katsuki and Eijirou love to stay in bed, watch some movies, and cuddle when they’ve put their kids to bed. It’s not that they don't enjoy doing that with their kids but it’s more peaceful without them. No worries of having to sit one kid on one side and the other on the other side because they kept bothering each other. They can just relax.
Oftentimes times Queen, their cat, and Riot, their dog, will join them. Riot mostly lays by their feet on the bed and Queen just lays wherever, she knows that no matter where she chooses to rest, they will make space for her.
This is how the couple spend their weekend night, cuddling and watching some show that they both liked.
When it’s way past Katsuki’s bedtime, (yes, he still has one), they decide that it’s time for them to go to sleep.
********
Whenever Denki or Mina ask them why they sleep with their door open, this is the reason why.
When Katsuki woke up, it was well in the middle of the night. Both him and Eijirou are very proud of their ‘parent senses’ as Denki called it. Back when the twins were just little babies, the couple could tell when one of them was going to cry or needed to be held without even needing to look at them.
This skill seemed to have stayed with them as when Katsuki looked around the bedroom, he spotted a tiny figure in the doorway. As his eyes adjusted to the dark of the room. He realized that it was his son, Kusurou, standing in the door.
Putting his hearing aid in, the one that he always keeps on the nightstand when going to bed, he heard sniffling. Sitting up from the bed, he made his way to his son.
“Hey Kusurou, you okay?” He whispered softly as to not wake up his sleeping husband.
He saw as his son shook his head ‘no’. While this worried him, he knew that recently Kusurou has been waking up in the middle of the night, worried that he couldn't find his parents. On those nights, Katsuki or Eijirou would find their son crying to himself.
They told him that if he ever felt that way to just come to their room, where he would always find them sleeping.
Slowly picking up the crying boy, along with his bunny plushie, Katsuki placed a soft kiss on his forehead. Kusurou visibly relaxed as he leaned against his father. Slowly rocking both of them back and forth, Katsuki made their way back to the still warm bed.
“We’re here baby, don't worry. Me and your dad are never going to leave you guys.” He said as he ran his dull fingernail through his son’s fluffy, brown hair.
He heard Kusurou mumble something that sounded like a shaky ‘okay’.
Katsuki gently laid both of them down on the bed, placing them so that Kusurou was in between both his dads. He shifted so that Kusurou could lay on his chest.
Both he and his husband thought that Katsumi would be the one who would have trouble sleeping at night. He heard stories from his mom and dad about how much of a terror he was when he was their age, and since Katsumi seemed to get most of his genetics, he thought she would be the one waking up in the middle of the night.
He was very much wrong though. It was always Kusurou who seemed to have trouble sleeping. Ever since he was a baby, no matter how hard they tried, it always took them at least an hour for Kusurou to settle to sleep. His sister, though, always fell asleep as soon as she was held and rocked slightly.
When Kusurou started to get restless again, Katsuki thought it might be good to tell him some stories. It always put him to sleep when he was younger. Scratching his son’s back gently, Katsuki started to talk about when he and his father first met.
He talked about how Eijirou was the first one to make Katsuki think of someone else as an equal. How the couple helped each other get stronger and made them better people. He also started to talk about how strong his father was and how stupid he was for not seeing it himself.
He talked about how their first date was on the hiking trail that the family often went out to explore. How Eijirou proposed to him in the middle of a catastrophic mission. How the two men recovered from it and how their wedding was one of the happiest days of his life because now he got to spend the rest of his years with the love of his life.
He also told Kusurou how happy both of them were when they found out that they would be expecting twins. He talked about how hard it was for them to apply in order to have a kid. How the program that they applied to didn’t want them to have kids only due to their job, how Eijirou almost sued the whole company.
He talked about how the /actual/ happiest day of his life was when he and his sister were born.
Katsuki kept talking and talking about how much their family had been through and how much he loved all of them.
He must have been going on and on for quite some time because when he looked down on his chest, he saw that Kusurou was asleep. He breathed a sigh of relief.
“Deep down you really are as sappy as I thought, huh?”
Katsuki jolted slightly at the sound of a gruff voice that belonged to his husband.
“Shut up, he couldn't fall back asleep and I had nothing else to talk about.” Katsuki whispered back to his husband.
“I’m not complaining, I thought it was adorable.” Eijirou said as he scooched over closer to Katsuki.
Eijirou placed a soft kiss on his husband’s and his son’s head, pulling them closer to him along the way.
All of them fell asleep, safe and sound in Eijirou’s strong arms.

When Eijirou woke up the next morning, he saw that his bed had less space than it did last night. Sitting up slightly, he saw that, one, he was on the very edge of he bed, somehow not falling to the floor. Two, Riot had decided to come onto the bed and fall asleep on his feet. And three, Katsuki had the twins on either side of him, cuddling up to him, with Kusurou’s green bunny shoved right in Katsuki’s face.
Eijirou pulled his phone from the night stand and unplugged it. Quickly snapping a picture of how adorable his family looked like.
Putting his phone away. Eijirou re-adjusted and laid back down in his bed. Pulling closer to his family so that he could place a hiss on every one of them.
When he was done, he laid next to Katsuki, enjoying this soft moment in their mostly chaotic life. Soon enough, he was asleep again, relaxing to the feeling of fingernails scratching slightly at his scalp.
