Chapter Text
Obito didn't deserve this, truly,he didn't. Yet,he was still given the opportunity to change fate itself. To live once again,to live in a body that had once been his own.
A body free from scars-so innocent-young and frail, yet bursting to the seams with unparalleled determination-or something along those lines.
Obito was alive, living, while Tobi and Madara took a rest.
He clenched his hand into little fists, his knuckles white-and a trickle of red. Small slit marks where his nails dug into his palms and a slight sting. Both of which surprised him-as he could not feel-and no one ever got close enough for him to bleed. But now-oh he could-he could
his senses came back like a tidal wave. Tingles prancing around his body, and sudden awareness of where he even was.
Home
-despite how he himself drastically changed. Despite how he had turned into a monster.
He would let Obito live. Live so that the ones he loved kept living-even beyond if he died.
He didn't deserve this
Anyone could vouch for that
But he would be a fool to not accept such a blessing.
When it really was a curse in disguise.
—-x—
Obito silently wrapped the bandages around his hand. Eyes distant and blurry as he pulled his sleeves down. He was weak
With a breath he stood up,walking towards his closet to get ready for the day. Slacker
Memories barraged him as he put on his jacket. Bright blue and Orange-his staple color. His headband tied tight and secure-something he would wear with pride. Hah! What pride?
Clutching his goggles in his hand-he wondering if he could really do this. To put on the mask of obito. The brash-hot headed-yet charming black sheep that could do no harm. A kind little boy who helped old ladies, obsessed with his clan-
Your clan? The very clan that abandoned you?
-lovesick for Rin,and a stupid rivalry with kakashi, hmm,Bakashi. He would need to get used to saying that.
Heh
you're forgetting something aren't you?
Ah,yes,friendship values-hokage-being respected,blah blah.
And dead last remember?
Pathetic
It wouldn't be the first time he had to act weak-naive-tobi
But Obito was different-really-he was more like Naruto. Minus some trauma and 100% complete isolation. Hn,obito was a little more snappy though-just a little more on the cusp of snapping.
And when he did-it wasn't him-someone else entirely new.
Obito simply just disappeared
He was going to stuggle with this persona,no-Trying to act normal, trying to go to a time better left forgotten.
It was fine
He didn't deserve to complain.
