Changbin and Minho fighting was rare, especially after the two had bonded together as mates and part of a pack
That made today even more confusing
Chan and Hyunjin had left the house to go shopping for groceries, wanting to spend some time together as just the pack alpha and pack omega. They loved the others to death but they rarely got time to themselves so they took most of the opportunities as soon as they arised
Changbin and Minho were the two alphas left home with the Maknae line. Their two omegas, Felix and Jisung, were currently asleep in the nest room while the betas, Seungmin and Jeongin, were in their room
The omegas are startled awake by yelling. The voices belonged to Minho and Changbin and it seemed like they were shouting at each other. The two quickly bolt of the nest room, tracking the alphas down to the kitchen where they were standing, yelling at each other. Their scents smelled like burnt coffee and forest fires, something that all of the pack mates hated smelling because it could only mean that the two were incredibly pissed off, and right now it was at each other
Seungmin and Jeongin arrive right behind the two omegas seconds later, eyes widening as the alpha's scents hit them full force and they take in them shouting at each other
"I don't care if you are older than me!" Changbin shouts, more of the angry scent rolling off of him and making the omegas almost gag. "You can't just boss me around!"
"Since I clearly need to, let me remind you that Chan put me in charge! That means to do what I say!" Minho snaps back, the scent of burnt coffee grounds growing stronger as well
"He put us both in charge! He told us to watch over the pups, that doesn't mean bossing me around! I'm an adult, and an alpha, I don't need you telling me what to do and I sure as hell do not have to listen!" Changbin yells, stepping closer to Minho with a growl
The older male scoffs in response, standing up straighter to try and intimidate the youngest alpha. "If you're such an adult then stop acting like a child and maybe I'll stop treating you like one!" He growls out, his eyes bright red
Jisung and Felix look between each other anxiously, the smell of rotten apples and burnt chocolate barely detectable over the alpha's scents as their gazes drift over to Seungmin and Jeongin
The two betas are looking at each other anxiously, trying to figure out how to dissolve the fight quickly before it could get violent. Changbin and Minho were reverting back to instincts that could cause a much violenter fight in seconds, one that none of them knew how to deal with
It had been years since any of them had to deal with an alpha fight and normally Chan or Hyunjin dealt with it, technically being at the top of pack hierarchy
It was widely considered a beta's job to settle pack fights however, and the two had no experience settling a fight between the alphas
Seungmin is the first to move forwards, releasing a large amount of calming scent, trying to combat the alpha's scents to hopefully calm the both of them as well as the omegas. Neither of the males notice, still fighting. "Hyungs?" Seungmin asks, his voice a bit hesitant as he talks. He doesn't get a response, the two continuing to argue, so he tries again. "Hyungs?" He asks a bit louder as he walks closer
He didn't expect either of them to snap at him so when Changbin had loudly shouted, "What?!", at him he froze, eyes wide as they went gold out of instinct. Minho growled at Changbin at this, drawing the other alpha's gaze back to him
"Don't yell at him!" Minho growls out, his instincts starting to shift to angry and protective. This wasn't good, this really wasn't good. This could go bad fast and Seungmin had no idea what to do. None of them were trained to handle this
"Maybe he should mind his own business then! This doesn't concern him!" Changbin yells back, stepping even closer to Minho, challenging him
"You're acting like a child again!" Minho yells, challenging Changbin right back
Seungmin looks over to Jeongin quickly, starting to panic a bit. The other beta quickly moves forwards, pushing out an equally comforting scent as Seungmin. "Hyungs, you need to calm down!" He says quickly, his own anxiety starting to show through a bit
"Stay out of this, it's an adult issue!" Changbin snaps at his youngest mate, hurt quickly making it's way over Jeongin's face at the words, further angering Minho
"Do, not, yell at them!" Minho growls out sternly, stepping closer to Changbin with a look that could kill. "They are being more of an adult then you are right now!" He shouts, shoving Changbin back a bit. This makes the already tense air even more suffocating. This wasn't good, this wasn't good at all. Where was Chan when they needed him?
Changbin lets out an angry growl, shoving Minho right back. "They need to mind their own business! I don't need betas trying to fix something when they don't even know how!" He shouts. "They should just do something they're good at!"
The words hurt both of them even more. Changbin had basically just called them bad betas for not knowing how to stop the two fighting and it hurt
Jeongin had quickly moved to the omegas, bringing them into a hug to try and calm them down. Minho's gaze had tracked him and when he saw the omegas crying he got even angrier
"You need to watch your fucking mouth because I don't have any patience left" He growls out, his eyes bright red as he glares at Changbin, the look on his face only describable as pure rage. It terrified Seungmin. He had seen an alpha wear that look before but he had never seen it from one of his packmates before
"Or what? You aren't even pack alpha, what the fuck are you going to do?" Changbin growls, shoving Minho back harshly, almost knocking him off balance. Seungmin didn't know what to do. The two alphas were so lost in their instincts and he didn't know how to help. He needed Chan, why wasn't he here?
Minho rights himself quickly, shoving Changbin back harshly. "I am still older than you! I still have hierarchy in the pack!" He shouts
"Really? Could of fooled me. You're so fucking immature that I would think you were just the runt!" Changbin retorts harshly, striking a nerve he really shouldn't have. It had taken a long time after he bonded with them for Minho to get comfortable enough to loosen up and let himself start to have fun with the others
Minho lets out an almost primal growl and Seungmin half expects him to be shifted as he pushes Changbin back harsher, almost knocking him down. "You do not get to call me immature when you have acted like a fucking child all day!" He yells loudly, his voice venomous to everyone in the room when the words are heard. "You need to learn to act like an actual fucking alpha!" He adds on, making Changbin growl lowly as he harshly shoves Minho back, the older male hitting the wall hard with a gasp of pain
Seungmin quickly rushes forwards at this, tugging at Changbin to try and pull him back so he could try to calm him down and settle the situation before Chan and Hyunjin got home. "Hyung, calm down-" His frantic begs are cut off by a loud yelp of pain when Changbin growls harshly and suddenly turns, his elbow hitting Seungmin right in the eye and knocking him to the floor when he stumbles back in pain and trips
Everything goes silent, like time has completely stopped, until a very loud and very angry growl is heard from the front door. "What in the fuck is happening?" Hyunjin asks, his tone dripping with poison as he glares at Changbin. He and Chan had just gotten home and opened the door to the pissed smells of the alphas and the panicked smells of the omegas and betas. Then they saw Seungmin get hit when Changbin turned around to face him
Seungmin was just sitting on the ground, looking up at Changbin with wide and panicked tear filled eyes, looking terrified
The other three maknaes were looking at them all in horror and shock, the air so tense that it was suffocating
They all knew that Changbin wouldn't intentionally hurt any of them, but especially not Seungmin, not after what he's told them about his past. It still happened though, whether intentional or not, and none of them really knew how to proceed
Changbin himself looked shocked and horrified at what happened. He didn't mean to hit Seungmin, he really didn't. He had got so lost in his instincts and his anger that it just happened before he could stop it
Chan and Hyunjin move further into the house, the groceries abandoned at the front door that is left wide open in their haste to figure out what happened and get to Seungmin and their other three youngest members
Hyunjin immediately starts to go over to Seungmin, his instincts telling him to check on the younger male and protect him. When he got close however Seungmin had quickly scrambled to his feet and bolted, right out of the front door
"Minnie!" Hyunjin shouts, rushing after him quickly, the other male already long gone as he shifts to his wolf halfway down the hall and runs even faster
Hyunjin turns to look at Chan quickly, incredibly scared of what would happen next. He didn't know what to do, this was the first time that anything like this had happened or that any fights had gotten this severe
Chan quickly turns to the other two alphas, his gaze hard as he glares at them slightly. "What happened?" He asks sternly, the tone of his voice making all of the pack members in the room shudder anxiously. Chan never used this voice unless it was really serious, and they all knew that it was. "Why were you two fighting?" He asks, looking between Minho and Changbin
It took a few minutes for either of them to speak, Minho being the one to talk. "Binnie had wanted to leave the house to go somewhere but I didn't think it was a good idea if you weren't home" He explains slowly, glancing over to Changbin before looking back to Chan. "We started arguing about it because he kept insisting on going and I kept telling him not until you got home. The pups came in when we started yelling at each other and when Minnie and Innie started trying to defuse the situation Changbin started yelling at them so I was scolding him for it and it got worse from there" He finishes, leaving out most of the details. The others were angry enough with Changbin, and he was angry enough with himself. He didn't need to make it worse right now. They could talk about it when the heat of the moment passed and Seungmin was home again
Chan takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself down enough to rationally think about this. He was worried about Seungmin and currently pissed about what happened. "Jinnie, take the pups to the nest" He says, looking over to Hyunjin. The younger male had started to protest, wanting to give into his instincts and go searching for Seungmin, before immediately quieting down at the look Chan gives him
Hyunjin moves over to the younger three, instinctually growling at Changbin as he passed as if to dare him to just try and hurt one of the pups again. Changbin flinches a bit at the sound and Hyunjin ignores the stern gaze he receives from Chan, leading the pups to the nest and holding them close to him
Chan lets out a heavy sigh as he tries to think of what to do next. He needed to find Seungmin as fast as possible but he also had to handle the other two alphas. He had been able to recognize when they entered the house how deep in their instincts the two were so to some extent he couldn't fault them as much for what happened. He knew first hand what instincts could do, especially if you reverted too far into them. It could make you act like a completely wild wolf, losing sense of your surroundings and what's happening, becoming aggressive as a way to defend yourself no matter what, and that was extremely dangerous for everyone involved
He turns back to the other two alphas, sighing heavily again. He turns to look at Minho first, watching the other male rubs at his back with a slight wince. "Are you ok?" He asks, watching the other male worriedly as Minho anxiously glances from Changbin to Chan before answering
"Yeah, I'm fine. We got a little too rough, I'll be ok" He says quickly. He didn't want to get Changbin in anymore trouble right now. He would talk through everything with them later when emotions weren't so high
Chan sighs heavily again, closing his eyes as he tries to make sense of his own thoughts and instincts. He needed to calm himself down before he did something rash and made everything worse. "I'm going to talk to you two about what happened later, alone, and then we can talk about it as a pack. For right now I want both of you to take some space to calm down, no more interacting until I come talk to you" He says sternly, Changbin and Minho nodding quickly
Chan waits for them to go to their separate rooms before he makes his way to the nest room, peeking inside. Hyunjin was holding Jisung and Felix close, Jeongin sitting at the end of the nest and anxiously messing with his hoodie sleeves even as Hyunjin tried to coax him up to him
Hyunjin and Jeongin both quickly look up when Chan comes to the doorway, both of them looking incredibly terrified. He could smell the lingering scent of Jisung having a panic attack and the lingering scent of sadness coming from Felix as the two sleep in Hyunjin's arms and his heart breaks
"I'm going to go find Minnie. Innie, baby, can you come with me please?" Chan asks gently. As the two betas and youngest members of the pack Jeongin and Seungmin were bonded together in a closer way than the others. Jeongin was the first pack member that Seungmin bonded with and the one he was closest with
Jeongin quickly shoots up with a nod, following Chan out of the room after the alpha reassured Hyunjin that he would find Seungmin and take care of him and Jeongin before getting him home to Hyunjin so he could take care of them
They leave the house quickly, starting to track Seungmin's scent to try and find him
Seungmin runs, panic coursing through his body
Even in his wolf form he felt so unsafe and his instincts were just telling him to run, to run and never stop
He knew Changbin hadn't meant to hurt him, he knew that, but it didn't stop the flashbacks and panic filling him
He hadn't been in the best relationship before he met his pack. The alpha he had been with was possessive, more than most alphas seemed to be. He was also mean and angry all of the time
"I don't want anyone else looking at you, you're mine" Seungmin's alpha growls out, keeping him from leaving the apartment
"It's just a hang out with friends" Seungmin counters, crossing his arms as he stared at the other male
"You should be lucky that I even wanted to date you. An alpha with a beta? It's pathetic. You're lucky that you look good. It's the exact reason I don't want you going out" Seungmin's alpha says, stepping over to him and taking his hand. "I'm trying to keep you safe. Stay in with me? I can make it worth missing a silly hang out" He adds
Seungmin is breathing heavily as he runs faster, trying to run from the images flashing through his mind so quickly
"Where the hell did you go!?" Seungmin's alpha yells loudly when the younger male gets into the apartment they shared
Seungmin freezes, looking at the older male with wide eyes. The alpha's eyes were bright red and he looked beyond pissed. It takes him a few minutes to answer, incredibly anxious. "I-I went out with f-friends" He stutters, watching the alpha stalk over to him angrily
"I didn't say you could go anywhere!" The alpha growls out angrily, his eyes now and even brighter red and Seungmin's own turning gold out of instinct as he backs up towards the door, flinching when the alpha slammed it closed and shoved him against it
He's terrified as he looks at the alpha, swallowing nervously. "I didn't think it would be that big of a deal" He mumbles softly, his voice quiet
"I am your alpha!" The male shouts, Seungmin flinching back in fear. "You listen to me! I tell you where to go, what to do, who to see, do you understand!?" He yells, hitting Seungmin harshly
Seungmin keeps running even as his lungs and legs start to burn and hurt
He needs to get away. He needs to get away from these memories, from everything that happened to him both today and in the past
He felt like he couldn't breathe and he wanted to cry. His instincts were telling him to run and get as far away as possible but they were also telling him to go to his pack and let them comfort him
He wanted nothing more than to let them comfort him, to curl up in one of their arms and let them all scent him until he gets too drunk to think of anything at all
He has to stop running when it hurts too much and his instincts are yelling at him to keep going, to get as far away as possible, but all he can do is collapse
He feels so vulnerable and scared and all he wanted was Chan and Hyunjin and the rest of his pack. He was starting to hate himself for running. If he had just stayed home they could comfort him already and he would be ok, he would be safe
He shifts back to his human form, weakly rising to his feet and starting to move further from the house, not even knowing where he was. Every slight sound draws his attention, paranoia filling him as more flashbacks fill his mind
"You can't leave me!" Seungmin's alpha yells loudly as Seungmin hurriedly packs his stuff
"I can't stay here! This isn't good for me!" Seungmin yells back. He had recently met some new people and watching the ways that they loved each other proved just how bad his own relationship was and that he needed to get away
"I own you! You can't leave!" The alpha growls out, pushing Seungmin away from his bags and into the wall
"We aren't mated! You don't own anything about me!" Seungmin yells loudly, shoving the other man away from him harshly. "I'm leaving, I need to get out of here, I need something better!" He says quickly, finishing his packing hurriedly before rushing to the door. "I have friends outside coming to get me. Don't follow me" He says before leaving, slamming the door behind him and rushing down to Chan's waiting car
Seungmin can't breathe
He'd started running again when the flashbacks started back up and he didn't know where he was or how long he had been running
Every part of his body burned and he was in pain but he kept running, his mind screaming at him to get away from everything, run until he couldn't anymore or until he was safe
Chan and Jeongin had been searching for Seungmin for nearly three hours before they found him
He was far from the house and he looked so terrified. It broke both of their hearts as they watched him silently before Jeongin let out large amounts of a comforting scent, directing it to the older male carefully
They watch as Seungmin takes in the scent, turning to them quickly with wide and tear filled gold eyes. Chan lets out a comforting scent as well, watching as Seungmin relaxes a little at the mixed scents
Jeongin is the one that moves forwards first. They both knew that it wasn't a good idea for Chan to approach him first with his alpha status. It could make him panic more and run again, something they definitely didn't need. Seungmin tracks Jeongin as he slowly walks forwards, releasing more of his comforting scent as he starts to get closer
"Minnie" Jeongin whispers softly, watching Seungmin as he eyes him wearily. He slowly moves forwards still when Seungmin doesn't react badly, keeping an eye on his body language so that he doesn't scare him or make things worse
Seungmin was tense, ready to run again if he needed to. He watches Jeongin get closer as the younger male releases more of his scent before stopping when Seungmin growls in warning. He was too close right now and Seungmin was ready to run, something that none of them needed. They needed to get him home safe
"It's ok, it's going to be ok Hyung" Jeongin whispers gently, still releasing more of his scent to try and calm Seungmin down as much as possible. He watches as the older male relaxes more, letting Jeongin move closer until he could stand in front of him. He was just a reach away and Jeongin had to fight the urge to just pull him in already. "Hyung" He whispers softly, holding out his hand
Seungmin looks at him hesitantly before taking his hand, letting the younger male pull him into a protective hug. Jeongin sighs softly in relief as Seungmin hugs him back tightly, hiding his face in the younger male's shoulder and nosing at his scent gland, Jeongin letting out more of his scent in response. "It's ok, I got you. You're safe now Hyung, I promise" He whispers, kissing the older male's head and looking over at Chan
The older male was watching them closely the entire time, a relieved look on his face once Jeongin had Seungmin in his arms. "Go home, we'll be right behind you" Jeongin says, watching as Chan starts to protest. "Hyung, I've got it, we'll be ok" He reassures, watching as the older male relaxes a bit and nods before shifting into his wolf form and running off to the house, leaving a trail of his scent behind for the betas to follow back
Jeongin focuses back on Seungmin, running a hand through his hair gently and rubbing his back as he lets out more of his scent in a steady stream. He stands there with him until he feels Seungmin relax fully the way that he always does when he gets scent drunk. That was good. It meant Seungmin was calmer now and Jeongin could get him back to Hyunjin and the other two maknaes
"Hyung, we need to go back home" Jeongin whispers softly, pulling away from the hug just enough that he can see the older male's face. Seungmin looks at him through golden and dazed eyes, Jeongin smiling softly as he cups his cheek
"Innie" Seungmin slurs out, leaning into the younger male's touch and making him smile even more as he watches him
"I'm here Hyung, I'll keep you safe I promise" Jeongin whispers softly, kissing the other male's forehead and watching happily as he smiles. "Come on, let's go home and we can cuddle with the omegas" He whispers, Seungmin perking up a bit at the idea even in his drunkened state
Jeongin carefully steps back enough to shift into his wolf form, letting Seungmin get situated on his back. It was a bit weird carrying him but he could do it if it meant getting them home safe. As soon as he was sure that Seungmin was safely on his back he starts off for home, following Chan's scent happily
As soon as Chan gets home he goes to the nest room. Jisung and Felix are still sleeping but Hyunjin is wide awake, gaze shooting over to the alpha before looking panicked as he sees him alone. Chan quickly moves to sit beside the younger male, kissing his head gently. "Jeongin has him, he's bringing him home" He whispers
Hyunjin relaxes a bit more at this but he's clearly still worried. "They're alone?" He whimpers out softly, making sure that he doesn't wake the other two omegas up
Chan moves and starts to gently scent the other male, waiting until he's relaxed fully to speak. "Jeongin has him, he'll keep them safe. You know that he will, that he can" He whispers softly, Hyunjin nodding a bit as he lets out a soft sigh. "I need to go talk to Minho and Binnie ok? Keep the pups safe?" He whispers, gently kissing Hyunjin's forehead
The younger male nods immediately, smiling at the kiss. "Of course Alpha" He whispers gently, Chan smiling as he gently kisses him before getting up from the nest
"Good boy" He whispers softly, leaving the nest room and sighing softly. He goes to Minho's room first since it's the closest, knocking on the door before opening it
Minho turns to him quickly from where he was looking at his back in the full length mirror, bruises already starting to appear from where he hit the wall. Chan frowns a bit at this, walking forwards and looking over the bruises. "Did Binnie cause this?" He asks gently, watching as Minho drops his shirt and quickly shakes his head
"I tripped" He lies quickly, Chan sighing softly as he pulls the other male close, resting their foreheads together
"You don't need to lie to me" He whispers softly, releasing a calming scent when Minho quickly tenses up. "It's ok, it's all going to be ok. Lets go get Binnie and talk, yeah?" He whispers, Minho nodding reluctantly
Chan is the first to step away, taking the other male's hand and walking with him to Changbin's room. He knocks on the door before opening it, looking around for the other male before spotting him curled up in bed. He can smell the distress rolling off of him in waves, his heart breaking as he walks over, gently placing a hand on the other male's shoulder
Changbin jumps a bit at this, quickly turning to look at Chan. His eyes are red and puffy, tear tracks stuck to his face. Chan reaches out gently, wiping the tears away and watching as Changbin leans into the touch a little. "I'm sorry" The younger male whimpers out, Minho quickly moving to sit behind him, hugging him close and laying his head on his shoulder
"It'll be ok. Jeongin is bringing Minnie home and it'll all be ok" Chan whispers gently, Changbin relaxing a bit at this and looking at Chan anxiously
"Is he ok?" He whimpers out, more tears falling down his face. Chan quickly wipes them away, sighing softly as he looks at the younger male
"He will be. We'll all make sure of it" He whispers gently, placing a gentle kiss to the male's forehead. "For now, we're going to talk about what happened, all of it, ok?" He whispers, looking at both of the other alphas who reluctantly nod
"You already told me what started the fight but I want to know everything, from both sides" Chan says
Both of the alphas slowly go through the events of the fight, telling Chan everything. The older alpha listens carefully to both of them, keeping a calm scent flowing through the air to let them know that he wasn't mad at them. As soon as they finish telling him what happened he focuses his attention on Changbin. "Binnie, why did you not like Minho telling you to stay home until I got back?" He asks gently
Changbin looks between both of them, Minho gently taking his hand and waiting for him to speak. He turns back to Chan, biting his lip before he talks. "I don't know, I guess it just felt...controlling?" He says, looking down at the bed. "I just wanted to go hang out with friends and he was telling me I couldn't until you got back, it just upset me"
Chan nods a bit, grabbing Changbin's free hand as he turns to Minho. "Why'd you tell him to stay home until I got back?" He asks gently, Minho tearing his gaze away from Changbin to look at Chan instead
"You had left us here with the pups to make sure that they were ok, so I didn't think it was a good idea for him to leave while you were gone. And if something happened I didn't want to be the only alpha home to help" He says
"Ok, did either of you tell each other this?" Chan asks, both of them shaking their heads as they look at him. "Ok, why not?" He asks gently
Changbin is the first one to speak up, glancing between the two before his gaze settled back on Chan. "I just got really upset and started demanding to go. When he kept telling me to go once you got home I started yelling"
Minho speaks up next, squeezing Changbin's hand gently. "I didn't really think to explain why I wanted him to stay when I first said to. I didn't think it would upset him as bad"
Chan nods a bit, releasing more of a calming scent. "Ok, next time anything like this happens you need to talk to each other ok? Before any fights can break through just explain your thoughts to each other and try to make a compromise" He says, both of the other alphas nodding. "I want you guys to explain everything how you just did to the pack and then apologize to Minnie and Innie, as well as Jisung and Felix. You scared them pretty badly and hurt the beta's feelings. They were just trying to help and they didn't know how because they don't normally handle alpha fights, mainly to protect Minnie and not risk triggering him" He explains, the other two alphas nodding again
"We're gonna give them space to be with the omegas and calm down before we talk as pack. I'll get Jinnie to tell me when they're all ok to have a pack talk and then we'll sit down and talk everything out" Chan adds on, the other two nodding again before Changbin spoke up again
"I'm really sorry Hyungs" He whispers, Minho hugging him close as Chan gently cups his cheeks
"It's gonna be ok, we'll get through this together, just like we always have" He whispers
Jeongin gets them home within three hours, walking slow enough that he didn't hurt Seungmin, or disturb him once he fell asleep, but fast enough that they would get home quickly
When he gets to the front door he stops to think about how to get inside. He thinks about scratching the door but then decides not to. He can't howl either in case anyone is asleep and because Seungmin is currently asleep on his back
He thinks for a few more minutes before turning slightly, thumping his tail against the door. Seungmin stirs a bit on his back but doesn't wake up and Jeongin waits for someone to come open the door
Chan is the one to do so, a relieved sigh leaving him when he sees them. He steps aside to let Jeongin in, looking at Seungmin and smiling as he sees him peacefully asleep. "Go to the nest room, Jinnie's expecting you" He says, Jeongin moving quickly to do as he said
He gets to the nest room, pushing the door open and walking inside. Hyunjin shoots up immediately, rushing over to them and looking at them worriedly
Jeongin lays down on the floor, letting Hyunjin pick Seungmin up, releasing a calming scent when the other male stirs that settles him immediately
Jeongin waits for Hyunjin to put Seungmin in bed beside the other maknaes before he shifts back, stretching and sighing in relief when his back pops before letting out a surprised noise as Hyunjin hugs him tightly
He hugs back after a few seconds, smiling softly as Hyunjin starts to scent him. "I'm ok Hyung" He reassures the other, laughing softly as Hyunjin lets out a slight whine. "I'm fine, I promise" He reassures again, Hyunjin finally letting him go so that he can pull him to the nest, setting him down between Seungmin and Jisung
Jeongin settles down happily, basking in the warmth and comfort that being in the nest brought him. Hyunjin settles down beside Seungmin, holding him close and scenting him happily, the beta nuzzling into him even in his sleep. The room is silent for a few minutes, Chan stopping by to check on them before leaving again, shutting the door behind him
"Thank you for bringing him home" Hyunjin whispers softly. looking over at Jeongin. The younger male could see how exhausted and worried he had been, smiling softly and reaching over to grab one of his hands
"Of course" He whispers softly, Hyunjin smiling happily as he squeezes the younger male's hand
"Get some sleep pup" Hyunjin whispers when Jeongin yawns, cuddling close to Seungmin sleepily
"You too Hyung" The maknae mumbles sleepily, Hyunjin smiling softly as he watches him settle down into a deep sleep. He looks over the four youngest as they all sleep, feeling content for the first time since he got home. He simply watches them for awhile before settling into his own light sleep
Chan waits until all of them wake up on their own to call the pack meeting
Hyunjin is in the living room with the maknaes when the alphas get there, Hyunjin is eyeing Changbin a bit wearily before relaxing when he can't sense any danger. Jeongin has already taken on the task of releasing a constant stream of comforting scent, heavy enough to fill the room and make it smell like a bakery but still light enough that no one would get scent drunk
It takes awhile for them to all talk through everything that had happened and get their feelings across. Minho and Changbin apologize for scaring the younger members and for the words directed at the betas
"Can I talk to Binnie-Hyung alone?" Seungmin asks softly after a few minutes of silence, slightly shocking everyone in the room, looking at Chan and Hyunjin for permission
Hyunjin's first reaction is to object but when he looks over to Chan he relaxes a bit. He knew that Chan had talked with the other two alphas and he also knew that Chan would have already said no if he thought it was a bad idea for Changbin to be alone with the beta. He trusted the pack alpha so he nodded as well when Chan did, the others taking this as their cue to leave the room. Hyunjin and Chan stay back, looking at the two left in the room
"We'll be nearby if either of you need us" Chan says, both of them nodding. He smiles softly as he leaves the living room with Hyunjin
As soon as the others are out of the room Seungmin turns to Changbin, the other male already looking at him anxiously before speaking. "I'm really really sorry Minnie, I never meant to hurt you and I'm so sorry that I did" He says quickly, Seungmin smiling softly as he moves to sit in the older male's lap, shocking him
"I know you didn't mean to hurt me, that you were running off of bad instincts. I forgive you. Just try not to do it again" He whispers softly, Changbin nodding immediately as he looks at him. The eye that he had elbowed him in was already bruising and his stomach twisted when he saw it, knowing that he had put it there
"Are you ok?" He asks softly, despite knowing that it's probably a loaded question for the other. Seungmin bites his lip as he thinks for a minute before nodding
"I will be. I have my really loving and caring amazing pack with me. I'll be perfectly fine" He whispers, Changbin smiling softly as he gently cups his cheek
"Want pack cuddles in the nest tonight?" He asks gently, Seungmin smiling happily
"Do I even have a choice?" He asks playfully, Changbin letting out a soft chuckle
"With Hyunjin and Chan, no I don't think so" He jokes back, Seungmin laughing happily as his scent mellows into one of extreme joy. Changbin smiles at this, leaving a gentle kiss on the male's lips that makes him blush instantly
"Hyung" Seungmin whines, hiding his face in the older male's scent gland as Changbin laughs
"Sorry, you're just so adorable" He says, laughing more when Seungmin whines again and hits his arm a bit, Changbin able to feel his pout against his neck. There's silence for a few minutes before Changbin speaks up. "I love you Minnie and I really hope you know that I don't think you or Innie are bad betas. You're the best betas we could ever ask for and I'm so proud of you, so happy you're my mates" He whispers
Seungmin moves to look at the older male, smiling softly. "I know Alpha, and I love you too. I'm really happy to be you guys' mate" He whispers, Changbin smiling back happily and bringing him into a kiss that lasts a little longer than it probably should
Jisung soon barges into the living room, pulling both of them into the nest room as he demands pack cuddles, the other two following with happy laughs
"Everything ok now?" Chan asks once everyone is settled in the nest, Seungmin smiling happily as he nods
"Yeah, everything's perfect now" He whispers, settling down happily and taking in all of the content scents filling the nest as he slowly drifts to sleep
