Meimi had been fooling herself for far too long. Whatever the demon did to Seira’s soul before he resurrected her changed Seira.
Seira wasn’t sweet anymore and she definitely didn’t give Meimi the time out of her day. Instead, she spent her time glaring at Meimi, and during those rare nights when Seira was showing any other emotion, she was crying.
Meimi hated the sound of the girl crying because those pain-filled sobs had Seira’s voice in them.
“What have you done to me?” When Meimi heard the question, guilt washed over her. She had been selfish and now, Seira’s body was paying the price for it. Whatever was using Seira’s body wasn’t human and it had taken Meimi far too long to see that.
“What have I done?” Meimi couldn’t believe how far she had fallen in her grief.
