Aunt Lilith

Summary:

Lilith thinks that Luz and Amity don't like her.

Turns out, they hold deeper feelings for her.

Notes:

Slight Yandereish vibes, which is why I tagged it as such.

Just Lumity crushing on Lilith.

Work Text:

Lilith could hear the whispers of the two girls she treasured the most stop whenever she passed by them and she frowned, hoping that she was just overthinking it. Hopefully, they still like me. The witch didn’t know why she was so worried but she just hoped that they didn’t stop talking because she had walked by. She wouldn’t have stopped them from talking and she hoped they knew that. Lilith shook her head, hoping that it wasn’t because of her appearance that they had stopped talking. I hope I didn’t bother them. It was too late for the woman to not start overthinking but she decided to have hope that the two kids still liked her and thus, she went on her merry way, causing Luz and Amity to sigh in relief once the older witch was out of sight. “That would have been awkward if she had heard us.” Luz started the conversation off, getting Amity to giggle.

“The couple that likes an older witch stays together.” Amity said and Luz giggled, knowing that her darling girlfriend was telling the truth. They both really liked Lilith and even though they both knew that the older witch would never be able to reciprocate their feelings for her, they just wanted her to know that they found her super adorable.

“The way she had gotten excited about Deadwardian balusters was so cute.” That was one of the moments Luz knew she had started liking Lilith. Amity blushed and turned away when Luz looked over at her. “How about you?” Luz was very curious but she softly asked the question, not wanting Amity to feel pressured to respond to her.

“You may find me very odd for my response but when she was teaching me magic.” Amity revealed and Luz stared at her before smiling softly.

“Let me guess: rough but cute teacher?” Luz asked and Amity nodded her head.

“She was a rough teacher by accident. I know that being in the Emperor’s Coven probably did a lot of things to her and I would find her apologizing to me when I’m not in the room.” Amity told her girlfriend and Luz nodded her head, finding the story very lovely.

“I see, I see. Lilith is just an adorable softie.” Luz knew that if Lilith had heard her say that, she would have demanded that she could be rough and tough. “It does suck that she and Eda do not have a lot of magic power as they used to but it does make protecting Lilith fun.” Luz revealed and Amity grinned at the words.

“Eda can just get into a fistfight with someone and win.” Amity already knew Eda so very well but when it came to Lilith, both Amity and Luz wanted to spoil the woman, even if she wouldn’t understand why they wanted to spoil her. I can’t wait until we can start spoiling her. Amity couldn’t wait until she and Luz could start spoiling the woman. “Lilith can be our princess.” Amity spoke up and her words gave Luz an idea.

“You’re right, Sweet Potato. Lilith can be our princess.” Luz turned to Amity with sparkles in her eyes and the purple-haired girl just laughed, knowing she looked the same exact way as her darling girlfriend. The two girls knew they would never be able to stop fawning over Lilith; the woman was just too cute to not fawn over. “She does make for an adorable aunt.” Luz added as an afterthought but Amity did hear her and she blushed at the realization. She really did adopt her as her aunt. However, Amity didn’t mind, seeing that she also found herself enjoying the woman’s company more and more.

Of course, Luz and Amity didn’t realize Lilith’s distress until the woman stopped them one day at the house. “Do you two not like me?” Lilith was very distressed and both Luz and Amity knew they had to fix it without being outright obvious about their feelings for the older witch. Turning to each other, they both nodded their heads as Luz started to speak up first, seeing that Lilith had turned her attention to her.

“We do like you, Lilith. You are my aunt.” Luz gently reminded the woman and the small blush that rose to Lilith’s cheeks made both Luz and Amity happy. Ah yes, that should stay there. They both thought, only wanting to keep the woman happy. They never meant to hurt Lilith’s feelings with their secrecy but they knew they would never be able to tell Lilith about how they really felt about her.

They knew Lilith wouldn’t be able to love them back with the same type of love and yet, they didn’t mind it at all. Luz and Amity only fell for Lilith because the woman slowly started to change and once she had slowly begun to change, Luz and Amity saw the woman’s hidden personality she had hidden away for so long.

Once Luz had spoken up about Lilith being her aunt, Lilith turned to Amity, who was quick to speak. “Luz sees you as your aunt and I also see you as someone very dear to me.” She said and they both watched as Lilith smiled softly at them, reassured that they liked her, even if it was familial. Of course, Luz and Amity knew better but they didn’t want to just tell Lilith that they often thought about wanting to take care of her.

They weren’t kidding when they admitted to each other that they wanted Lilith to be their princess. It wasn’t that hard to protect Lilith when the woman went out. In fact, she would always give the two girls an invitation, and always wanting to make sure that Lilith wouldn’t get in any danger, they both agreed to go with her, even when Lilith offered one-on-one time with the two girls. “It’s more fun when we’re together, yeah?” Luz asked, knowing all the right things to say in order to help Lilith relax even more into the new dynamic she had unknowingly brought into her life.

“Yes, that is true.” Lilith responded, causing both girls to smile at her.

“And besides, it’s safer to travel as a group. You never know what could happen.” Amity said, getting Lilith’s attention. The older woman bit her lip, knowing that Amity was telling the truth.

“But, that’s why we’re here.” Luz said, gently wrapping one arm around Amity’s waist, pulling her closer. “We can protect you from any danger.” Lilith smiled at the two girls, happy that they didn’t mind tagging along with her even though she had no magic to help defend them if something were to ever happen. However, Lilith didn’t mind that she had two knights -in-shining armor willing to defend her from any danger, even if she wasn’t sure why they wanted to keep on spending time with her.
