Summary
They had finally found the flowers responsible for all of the deadly sex pollen chaos, growing right smack in the middle of a dark cave, somehow.
Jiang Cheng had been talking to Wei Wuxian, asking about his opinion or possible ideas on how to destroy it, but was met with silence. But when he turned around, irritated at the man, the scowl dropped off his face immediately.
Wei Wuxian was hunched over, clutching his stomach in pain. But as Jiang Cheng rushed forward to help him, he stopped suddenly, catching the scent of an omega.
An omega in heat, specifically.
But... Wei Wuxian was not an omega, he was an alpha!
...So why was he smelling like an omega, then? And the pollen only affected non-cultivators, so why was he being affected too when his core was known to be only slightly stronger than Jiang Cheng's?
