Wish I Could Prove I Love You, But Does That Mean I Have To Meet Your Father?

Summary:

After Pucci was defeated by the GDSP Gang, they all remained friends, as one might expect. Anasui, however, was about to go on his own journey. Luckily for him, one of his main goals was accomplished. Finally, he had taken Jolyne's heart, with the assistance of the others. But, he realized he had a far bigger challenge on his hands: Jotaro Kujo. He had managed to win many difficult challenges in the past, but would he be so lucky this time?

Also known as: Anasui's Bizzare Adventure - Phantom Jotaro

Notes:

Hey guys, I just thought I should preface this by saying that this is my first fanfic, so don't expect the Mona Lisa of fanfics with this. And also, yes, the title of this work is based on Simple and Clean from KH1.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

It's been 6 months since the death of Enrico Pucci. And it was not an easy win. Ermes ended up losing her leg, and Anasui was in a terrible condition. That also doesn't include the PTSD they absolutely got after that. Jotaro was able to keep his cool when he saw the knife that had been thrown at Jolyne, which allowed him to kill Pucci before time restarted and their fates got sealed. Jotaro immediately contacted the Speedwagon Foundation and managed to get both Anasui and Ermes to the finest medical care on the Atlantic Coast, and rather quickly too. As for him, Jolyne, and Emporio, they all made their way back to land in order to fully get an idea of what Pucci had done. Although Made In Heaven got reverted, C Moon wasn't. The Kennedy Space Center was ruined, and many lives were claimed. They managed to catch a ride to a nearby hotel that was barely out of the range of C Moon's gravity shift.

Over the next 3 weeks, the trio spent all their waking time either checking up on Ermes and Anasui, clearing the gang of their criminal record, and helping the Speedwagon Foundation collect information on the Space Center. When they got the news that Ermes had to have her leg removed, Jotaro made sure she got the finest fake the Foundation had to offer. It was so good, infact, that Joseph probably would have been jealous if he wasn't senile. Anyways, other than that, Ermes was okay. And it also appeared that Anasui was doing a lot better himself. Another two weeks of same old, same old passed, and the injured duo were finally out into the open once again.

Ermes wanted to make sure that her sister could finally rest easily. She managed to convince the Foundation to get the gang that McQueen was working with all arrested as one final act of revenge. She was working out of love. Speaking of love, Anasui was busy too. You see, he was a pretty charismatic guy. And as such, he managed to get Ermes and Emporio to help him take Jolyne's heart. They were like some knock off Phantom Thieves. But that is beyond the point. Eventually, after a whole lot of speaking on Ermes' and Emporio's parts, they finally were able to convince Jolyne that Anasui was the man right for her. Which is honestly a hell of a task. Anyways, you could have told him that Weather had returned and he would've been less excited. He finally got Jolyne.

And shockingly, things went well. They actually hit it off. By the point that they went on their first date, it had already been two months since Pucci was killed. And honestly, not much of importance happened in those 4 months. Jolyne and Anasui's relationship greatly deepened, Ermes got used to her new leg and also started to move on from her sister's death, Jotaro basically took Emporio in as his son (though he would often have either Josuke, Giorno, or Jolyne look after him when he was gone), and Jotaro had tried and failed at recovering his relationship with his ex-wife. Speaking of her, she was one of the first people to know of Jolyne and Anasui's ordeal. She was a bit skeptical at first, given Anasui's track record with exes, but eventually she warmed up to him.

Sixth months had passed, and Anasui heard the words that he had been dreading for 4 months: "We need to tell my dad." Anasui knew that this day would come, but that didn't mean that he liked it. "...Do we?" Jolyne sighed. "Yeah, we do. He'd find out soon enough, anyways. I wouldn't past Uncle Josuke to snitch on us." Anasui looked down then back up at Jolyne again. "...Fine. But only because we have to. You owe me one, by the way." The two spent the rest of the date talking about how they would do it until they came up on this plan: Jolyne would tell Jotaro that she wanted to come have dinner with him and that she was going to bring Anasui along so that the two guys could know each other a bit more. During the dinner, the two lovers would slowly start to build up to the reveal that they were actually lovers. And if push comes to shove, they both agreed to wear a bulletproof vest, even though it wont really hold up to a full power punch from Star Platinum. The plan was set and so was a date: a week from planning day. This week would be the week Anasui learnt what Hell truly was.

6 days to Judgement Day. 5 days to Judgement Day. 4, then 3, then 2, then eventually, 1 day. However, for Anasui, those weren't days. Those were the birth and death of many universes. It felt like a true eternity, like he was immortal and stuck in a private torture chamber as though he was the Doctor in Heaven Sent. However, when there was only one day remaining, it flipped. Made In Heaven could only wish to become as fast as that day felt for him. It was like he blinked and it was over. And so the day came, where either a weight was removed from Anasui's shoulders or he would end up reuniting with Weather and FF.

They booked a taxi to Jotaro's apartment (an old Ford Crown Vic, in case you're a nerd and wondered), and the tension was real. Jolyne was wearing a nice green dress her mother and Ermes picked out whilst Anasui was wearing a suit Josuke's crazy gay friend, Rohan, had picked out. "Hey, Ana, if you don't want to do this, I can just say you couldn't make it, 'kay?" He rubbed his eyes. "We should get it over with as soon as we can because if we don't, my death will be hard to explain." Jolyne gave a soft smile that calmed him down immensely. "Alright." The rest of the trip was silent, other than Anasui tapping his leg to try and calm himself down.

They arrived. Jotaro was standing on the porch of a fantastic house the Foundation provided him whilst he was in Florida. The door was open behind him. He was wearing a similar outfit to what he was wearing in Italy when he first met Giorno Giovanna, the, at the time, 16 year old mafia boss. Except, the coat was off, revealing his beautifully patterned turtleneck beneath. "Hello." The welcoming man said. Anasui swallowed his fears deep into his gut and repsonded before the man's daughter could. "Hello, Mr. Ku-" Jolyne bumped his shoulder. She whispered to him that the last Stardust Crusader was actually a doctor in marine biology. Anasui nodded before repeating himself. "Hello, Dr. Kujo. I'm sorry for the mister thing, by the way." Jotaro pulled his hat down for a second before making his reply. "Apology accepted." Jolyne then finally was able to talk to her dad. "Hey." Jotaro put on a little smile (which terrified Anasui) and nodded. "Hello, sweetie." Jotaro jestered for them to come in. Anasui was done with part, a million more to go.

Jotaro led them to a table which was finely decorated and had some fantastic wine on it. "Please, sit. I have to go finish up the meal." Although Anasui was about to sit down, Jolyne suggested that they should all work together to finish the dinner. Although neither Jotaro or Anasui liked it, they agreed, though only for Jolyne's sake. You see, neither of the two like each other. Anasui thinks Jotaro is some stuck up bitch who abandoned his daughter and Jotaro thinks Anasui is a psycho. Regardless, they all made their way to the kitchen, which was the size of a decent apartment. Jolyne focused on the ham whilst Jotaro and Anasui focused on the other small things, which gave them a bit of time to talk. "You know kid, I wonder why the hell Jolyne thinks you're a good guy." Anasui could've been placed in the Arctic and not be shivering as much. It was basically a lot of Jotaro mentioning both his and Ana's past. But eventually they got done, and now the meal could commense. And so could Anasui wishing that he had been killed by Pucci.

As they all sat down, Jotaro poured them all some wine which he had gotten as a gift from the son of Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando, Giorno. As it turns out, it was the
favorite brand of some cop that Giorno knew before he was killed by Diavolo. Anyways, at first, it was going well. Jotaro and Anasui were pretending to like each other, Jotaro and Jolyne were connecting a bit more, and Jolyne and Anasui were putting their plan into action. That is until Ermes called Jolyne about something. So whilst she took that call, Jotaro and Anasui were finally alone, and the Crusader was finally free to talk. "Cut the bullshit. I know what is going on here." Anasui's heart got so high in that moment that Slim Shady become very jealous. Jotaro continued. "I know that my daughter and Ermes are dating. And thats fine. I'm okay with that. But I'll tell her later. I'd like to enjoy a nice feast, if thats okay?" Anasui calmed. He wasn't dead yet. "Y-yeah th-thats fine." "Good." Jolyne came out shortly after and things got back to how they were.

Eventually, however, the fun had to end. Whilst Jotaro started putting things away, Jolyne went with him, giving the father and daughter a chance to talk alone. "Listen, Butterfly. I'm okay with your relationship." Jolyne froze. She started internally panicking a bit. "Personally, I wouldn't have gone for Ermes. But we are all our own things, aren't we?" After about a moment of silence, Jolyne whispered something. "What was that?" She whispered again, but this time, Jotaro could hear. And he wished he hadn't have had. More silence. "Butterfly. Sweetie. Question: What the actual FUCK do you see in that psychopathic bitch?" Jolyne knew this would happen. A large argument insued that I can't write because I'd reach the character limit. However, at the end, a verdict was made. The two came out and sat down near Anasui.

The ride back was far different. Jolyne felt very tired and exhausted and couldn't have cared if someone was being murdered at the moment. Anasui, on the other hand, was about as happy as you can possibly be. Why? Because somehow, and I do mean somehow, Jotaro agreed. Jotaro gave them the blessing to be a couple. And finally, they were free. As the taxi drove closer to the apartment they lived in, a new light had been shed. And now, one thing was sealed: Anasui had won the game.

Notes:

Well, thats it for now. I know it wasn't excellent, but I think it's a good start. I hope to continue this series soon. And on that note, I'll see you next time.
