"Jolyne. I need for you to do something for me. The Speedwagon Foundation is requesting I go to France, as they may have found unseen Stand Arrows. Unfortuantely, that will leave Emporio alone. Normally, I would have Giovanna or Josuke look after him, but Giorno is currently back in Italy for the time being and Josuke will be busy arranging for Joseph to visit Morioh again. As such, with much thought, I have decided to give you and Anasui a test: I want you to look after Emporio while I'm away. It shouldn't be hard. I know you three looked after him whilst hunting Pucci, but things are different now. However, if anything happens to him, I will personally kill you both."
That was the message that Jolyne got earlier in the day from her father. She was not amused. She was rather angry, as a matter of fact. And it's not hard to tell that Jotaro was too. However, they both feared the reactions of Anasui and Emporio. Although they had known eachother for years, to say they always got along would be insane. Espically since him and Jolyne started dating. Since then, they haven't really liked each other. Especially Emporio. At first, he was completely on board with it. However, as time went on, he started to dread the idea of the two together.
"Hey, Ana. Can I show you something real quick?" Anasui had just gotten back from buying more of his strange, custom-made clothing. The Foundation was paying for their apartment, so although not perfect, it was nice. "Uh, yeah, sure, okay." He set his stuff down, wondering what Jolyne was going to show. Maybe it was some video she found funny or maybe, better yet, it was an idea of something that couples could do. His hopes were quickly destroyed. Though, he didn't get angry or punch a hole through a wall like he once did or anything like that. Instead, he merely walked over to a window, and with the combined power of his strength and Diver Down's strength, he threw her phone out the window. She didn't even do anything to stop it as she fully understood. She also knew he was probably swearing at her dad under his breath.
"Emporio. I'm going to be gone for the next week so I'm having Jolyne and Anasui look after you while I'm gone. Please, kill him." This was the text that Emporio had received. He too was not amused and was rather angry. He hated how Anasui had been acting since they first got together. He felt as though the pride rushed to Anasui's head and he ended up becoming a major dick. Or as Emporio said, a simp. And he meant it. Anasui couldn't go 5 minutes without mentioning his relationship. He also constantly talked about how much he missed her when she would be gone for about a hour or two to help her father out with something. And if it allowed, Emporio would not let Jotaro's request go unanswered.
"Bye, Dad!" Jotaro waved goodbye to his daughter, his daughter's boyfriend, and the kid that his daughter will be looking after for the next week. As he got onto the plane, he thought that maybe he had made a mistake, giving them such a challenge so early on, at least as far as he knew. However, this is Jotaro Kujo. He quickly got rid of that thought. Back at the airport, Jolyne realized this was going to be a very long week. Immediately, Anasui started talking about the internals of the 737 that Jotaro got on, due to him ending up an engineer to help calm his desire to take things, including his ex, apart. Emporio, however, was not dealing with his bullshit. "Anasui, please, shut the hell up." And so, the first of many (too many to count) arguments began. Jolyne tried to split it up, but that didn't really work. It was at that point that she realized that she wasn't doing with one child: she was dealing with two.
After she finally managed to end the argument (she concluded that they were both boring idiots), they all got into the cab to head back to the apartment. She decided to sit in the middle of the two children to prevent any arguments. Somehow, it actually worked. As soon as they got home, she also decided to split the two up there. For that, she decided to ask Ana some questions about the 737 that he couldn't answer earlier. As for Emporio, she had him go set up the room he'd be staying in for the week. Finally, she would hopefully have some peace for the night. Well, as much peace as someone could get while listening to their boyfriend talk about how a plane works.
Day 1. Luckily, Emporio had school this week (he is still a child). So that would mean that the two would have some peace for about 7 hours. And on an even better note, Anasui would be working a couple hours longer than usual, meaning that he would be back home a couple hours after Emporio. All Jolyne had to do was worry about the hours they were both home together. Since Anasui went in to work two hours after Emporio went into school, the morning wasn't an issue. It was the night that was. So she now had to find a way to keep them apart during the night. And she had a brilliant solution: She would make something for herself and Emporio, as Anasui was actually the one who always cooked due to being shockingly good at it. And after that, she would just try to keep Emporio in his room after that. And rather amazingly, the plan worked.
Day 3. For a while, though. On this night, Emporio was out getting a glass of water when Anasui returned. And the only thing that Jolyne could think of in that moment was how fucked the peace was. Immediately, Anasui started to vent about how long of a day he had and how difficult of a project he was working on. Which was something Emporio did not like. "If you don't like the job like you say you do, then just quit it. The Foundation will pay for things, moron." For a moment, there was a deafening silence. And then, hell broke loose. An argument started up, and Jolyne didn't have any ideas on how to stop this one. Things were different now. Somehow, Emporio was far harsher this time. Maybe it was because of them being in private this time? Who knows? But it was terrible. So terrible, in fact, that even Weather and FF got mentioned. And so she decided to do something she didn't want to do. "Stone Free!" She summoned her stand and used its string to drag Anasui out of the kitchen and into their bedroom. As she left Emporio to his own devices, she started to calm Anasui down. As she finally got him to calm down, she went outside to see Emporio sitting in a chair, holding his water like he was an alcoholic holding a beer. As she started to talk to him, she started to see more of Emporio. She started to see the way these fights left him: and it wasn't good in any way. He wanted to stop fighting but something inside him just forces him to say the shit. After quite a lengthy heart to heart, they both went back to their rooms and let day be rebirthed once more.
Day 6. The previous three days were far more tame and calm. Emporio just took to not speaking to Anasui at all, after the fight on Day 3. He was also far more solemn and grim. He wouldn't make any jokes or explain his day when eating with Jolyne. He didn't really eat much either. It was clear that the fight took a major toll on him. Anasui wasn't much better either. He tried to apoligize to Emporio, but the kid wouldn't listen. And that's not all. He too wasn't as playful as he was. But that was also due in part to the project he was undergoing. However, that all was about to change. You see, the batteries in the remote for Emporio's fan had died, and they weren't in any of the cupboards. Except for Anasui's special cupboard that nobody, not even his beloved darling Jolyne, could open. Emporio, however, didn't care. He opened it and found a bunch of neatly organized mechanincal parts, as well as the batteries he needed. He only took one, and made sure it looked exactly how it did before he opened it. A foolproof plan, right? Nope. Which was made obvious when Anasui burst into the room and started yelling about how Emporio somehow nearly ruined his job and that it needed to be reformed and so and so forth. Although Jolyne's trick from last time still worked, both the children were still bitter and angry. Something that would continue into the day that she was fearing most of all.
Day 7. Sunday. The day they all had off. Since the children were both still angry and had more fight in them, they started arguing again. However, Jolyne had an excellent plan. "Y'know, Ermes, this might be one of my best ideas yet." She decided to spend the day with Ermes. The stress was catching up to her, and she needed a day off. So she decided to hang out with Ermes and clear her mind. They had lunch together, saw a film, went shopping (listen, I don't know what women do when they hang out. I apoligize for that.). Frankly, they had more of a platonic date than the actual couple had had since Jotaro found out they were dating. But it sadly had to come to an end, and Jolyne was prepared to end up explaining how either Emporio or Anasui had been killed. She opened the door and expected the worst. What she saw, however, was a lot different. She saw the two sitting at a table and talking and laughing like they were good friends. Basically, although the two didn't really agree on many things, they did agree on one thing: That Jotaro was a bitch. So somehow, the two ended up calming down. And they even started to regrow their relationship. Jolyne, however, wasn't exactly thrilled about them doing it over her father. But then she thought about when she first saw Jotaro at the prison, and realized that maybe she didn't have much room to talk.
Day 8. Finally, Jotaro was on his way back. As it turns out, the stand arrows were a fake made by Diavolo to try and derail the efforts of Jotaro and the Foundation. Unfortuantely for him, Giorno unrailed Diavolo before harm could be done to anyone. Except for Diavolo, of course. But either way, the arrows weren't real. And so, the whole week was useless. Unless, Emporio murdered Anasui, as he hoped. Unfortunately for him, nobody died. He met with Jolyne and Emporio at the airport. Anasui was busy. Anyways, they welcomed the Crusader back and sent him and Emporio on their way. On the drive back, Jolyne reflected over the week. And she realized that it turned out far better than anybody, even fate itself, could have possibly expected.
