Work Text:

Jake bit at his lip anxiously, staring terrifyingly at the sight before him as he desperately fled from the car to escape the stuffy atmosphere. Needing some fresh air at last. He was practically suffocating in that car. Yet as he got out, he immediately felt sick again. He wasn't a fan of the huge structures looming infront of him, let alone the fact they were moving. Towering above everything, why the hell did they need to be so tall!?

The bright sun already made the journey here uncomfortable. Rays shining directly over him, and now he was going to be in the open sun all day. He had already gone through two bottles of water just on the drive here because of the heat! Groaning, he stared at the crowds of people flooding in closer to the scary structures. His stomach felt uneasy already, and he was a good 300 metres from even getting close to any tracks!

Yes, as you can figure out, he was currently standing infront of a theme park. He for sure didn't look forward to his insides being thrown around all day as he would be impossibly dragged onto every ride in the park. Refusal wouldn't be an option if the maknae was around, after all. Hell, he could be having a panic attack and Niki would still be convinced he was just trying to get out of spending time with him!

"Not scared are you, Jakey?" A mocking voice sounded from behind as an arm snaked its way round his waist subtly. An all so familiar voice, he couldn't count the amount of times he'd heard the snarky yet playful tone. He could already envision the cocky smirk on the lips of the male behind him. Who belonged to no other than his roommate and unfortunate boyfriend.

Well, he says unfortunate. But in reality he wouldn't change a thing about him for the entire world. Even if it meant him being teased relentlessly at any given opportunity. For Park Sunghoon was the beautiful sunset that ended each day with such a gentle and fond atmosphere. The sun after a dreadful storm, parading it's hope and light upon him. It's really what he did, he calmed the storm inside Jake's mind everytime he arrived home from work. Filling him with warmth and admiration.

Jake rolled his eyes yet fell back into the touch, just a little. Welcoming it all. Sparing a glance at his breathtaking partner who's face was right by his. He would never get over how lucky he was to have Sunghoon. Pointy fangs peeking out as he grinned cheekily, the cutest dimple visible as he did.

"You told me you weren't scared of rides." He continued to pester, turning to look at Jake too. Eyes meeting for a second, a playful glint in them. Before Jake allowed himself to be caught up staring dreamily into his boyfriend's eyes, he scoffed, reaching over and poking at the raven's dimple.

"I'm not scared!" Jake protested, swatting him away.

"Oh, really? So you wouldn't mind going on that one first?" He challenged, eyes obviously flickering up to the tallest track in their view, a white coaster standing way above the rest of them. Practically daunting on him. Jake felt himself gulping just looking over at it. He knew his reaction was a dead give away, no point in hiding it now.

"Okay, absolutely not happening. Maybe I'm a little scared." He pouted, furrowing his eyebrows, eyes still stuck on the coasters. "Why are they so tall!?" Sunghoon chuckled in response, a hand still subtly on his waist.

"You'll be okay, Yunie. I promise, I'll hold your hand." Smirking as Jake blushed a little at the proposition.

Just as he was about to lean in and press a kiss to his boyfriend's cheek, a yell from a very familiar voice sounded, causing the two to quickly pull away from each other. Acting like nothing happened.

The two were still yet to tell the friend group about their relationship. Not that they didn't trust them, but they simply just wanted more time together privately before letting the others know. Well, then they got used to it being a secret. It was approaching a month since they got together officially, on the rooftop of their building. It was hard to believe time was flying so quick, to Jake, it felt like yesterday. Well, time always went fast with Sunghoon around.

"Hyungs!" Riki yelled out, getting ready to tackle the smallest boy who quickly used Sunghoon as a human shield. Who yelled in protest.

"It's way too hot to be tackled by you right now, Niki!" He yelled, noticing as the other guys trailed behind not too far. Heeseung drove , taking the maknaes and Jay with him. Jake and Sunghoon living the furthest away from all of them, would make it more difficult coming home if they took the youngers. So they opted to just meet at the theme park instead.

If you couldn't tell, this was definitely Riki's idea. And the rest of them have never had the heart to refuse their maknae.

Successful meeting all together they made their way into the park, Jake unfortunately did end up getting semi-tackled by the maknae. An arm round his shoulder and dragging him along the queue. Teasing the elder per usual. Jake still laughed and scolded back though, threatening to rip his ticket before they reached the entrance.

The rest rolling their eyes but being thoroughly amused by the bickering two. They were really like siblings at heart. Either ganging up together against everyone else or teasing and throwing harmless insults to each other instead.

___

After successfully entering the park, the 7 made their way to one of the closer tracks. Lines not getting too long yet as the park had just opened. Walking into the enclosed queue, cool looking buildings and loud audio blaring from the speakers surrounded them. Intentional broken signs and synthetic smoke came together to create an ambiance to match the theme of the coaster. Which seemed to be an apocalypse theme? The Australian tried to put together, eyes scanning over the scenery to ignore his nerves.

Jake had many irrational fears, as you would know by now, roller coasters being one of them. It wasn't a severe fear, maybe the usual fright and intrusive thought everyone had about them. Like being stuck at the top or the seatbelt not working. Yeah, that wouldn't be too fun! Adding to the fact he had never been on a ride either. So he didn’t know what to expect. He didn't think the teacups at a local fair when he was six counted towards much.

It seemed Sunghoon took notes of Jake's anxious habits, he subtly shifted back to him as Niki went to pester at Sunoo per usual.

"Are you okay?" The raventte ushered toward him, voice low and quiet to not draw attention from the others. Tilting his head a little towards Jake.

"What if my seatbelt doesn't work." Said male allowed his intrusive thoughts to win and blurted out exactly what his mind was thinking. Sunghoon chuckled at him, lips curling upwards.

"Then I'll undo mine and come save you." He mused back. Jake lips formed in a tight line, peering at his boyfriend.

"What if yours doesn't come undone."

"I'll break it myself then."

"What If we get stuck at the top?"

"Then I'll hold your hand until we get back down."

Sunghoon tried to not let himself laugh as his boyfriend continued to squint at him. Seeing how truthful he was being and assessing the situations over in his head. The younger would never get over how adorable he was. Cheeks slightly puffed as his lips were pursed. Pretty doe eyes scanning over the coaster that rushed past them as they took each step closer. The sun also perfectly showcasing the glow of his tanned skin. He thought it complimented so well to his own paler tone.

"You better keep to your words, Park!" Said boy challenged, causing Sunghoon to finally break into a laugh.  He shook his head endearingly, the sudden loud noises attracting the attention of the others.

"You'll be fine, don't be scared, Jake." Sunghoon commented, purposely making his voice louder which caused the rest to become aware of his nerves of the coaster. Jake sent him a glare of utter betrayal as the rest began to chip in on teasing him. Sending him the 'I will get you back' gaze as he swatted away Niki who tired to comfort him. It wasn't much comfort, mainly 90% laughing.

He paired very hesitantly back up with Sunghoon when they entered past the barriers. The seats being in rows of two. After coming to the conclusion that the maknae should be the one to go alone after his cocky attitude that he wasn't afraid. He pouted yet agreed, determined to prove his point that he wasn’t scared.

Jake elbowed Sunghoon's side as they stood together, causing him to dramatically hunch over in pain. Hand over the side where he was nudged. Yet still smiling playfully at Jake who rolled his eyes, suppressing his own grin.

The gates infront of them opened and Jake felt his stomach drop a little, not looking forward to the immediate drop of the coaster. The fact a child who seemed no much older than 12 years old happily hopped onto the seats behind them, felt painfully mocking. The blonde groaned, glaring at Sunghoon who had a hand extended out to him. As much as he wanted to take it, he felt like, he too had a point to prove.

"I don't need your hand anymore!" He insisted, pouting and looking away from his boyfriend who laughed loudly at his childish demeanour. Shrugging his shoulders with a cocky smirk.

Let's just say, Jake definitely needed his hand. Subconsciously gripping it tightly by the time the ride had looped round and come to a stop.

He blocked out the teasing afterwards as they walked out to the next ride.

_____

For the second, the line was much longer. Heat still at an uncomfortable temperature as the queue moved devastatingly slowly. But that was the main event of coming to theme parks after all. The seven still managed to entertain each other with conversation or snapping sneaky photos to use for blackmail purposes. Messing around and accidentally bumping into people one too many times.

However, Jake noticed his boyfriend somewhat tugging at the collar of his shirt in the open light. He made a mental note to try get him a break after this was over.

For this ride, he was paired with Niki. Not too much of a surprise, he figured the rest of the rides would be the same from now on. Not that he was complaining, he adored the Japanese boy with everything in him. Determined to make sure he enjoyed himself as much as possible. Indulging in his antics. It much distracted him from his nerves too.

Despite all that, he was not impressed with the loud yells of the younger beside him. For someone who wasn't afraid of roller coasters he definitely shrieked a lot!

The boy claimed it was "part of the experience."

To which Jake scoffed at the fake excuse as they walked out the exit. Sunoo trying to sort the mess of his hair as Jungwon continued to mess with it to tease the elder. The pink haired boy sending glares to him and hiding behind Sunghoon in attempt to escape the little menace. It seemed the raven was being used a lot today as a human shield. Jake giggling as he watched him try to keep the two moving, playing cat and mouse around him.

After leaving the exit of the ride the group walked throughout the park a little further, Niki eagerly dragging the friends to the tallest ride of the park. The Australian felt dread just staring up at it, trying to shift as far away as possible from the youngest. Sunghoon laughed to himself upon noticing the elder's actions. The anxious flicker of his eyes too and thro from the coaster to Riki. Like they were his two demons right beside him.

Heeseung, Jay and Jungwon had agreed to attempt at the game stands. Colourful and bright with large prizes hanging from the ceilings. Which were a total scam, the other four warned. Knowing they would certainly be rigged in some sort of way, theme parks were always money hungry establishments. However, Jungwon had been eyeing up the large plushies hanging from the stands since they entered. Pouting a little as he saw people holding them as they strolled passed. Feeling very envious. The elders of the group wanted to try their best to win something for the younger. Who smiled widely and quickly lugged the two away, bidding a fast goodbye to the rest who laughed at his excitement.

Jungwon was definitely scary at times, yet nothing would beat how adorable he was. Jake definitely wouldn't recommend getting on his bad side, though. His cute nature was definitely a false sense of security sometimes!

The youngest immediately started on his antics of pulling the three to another ride, the giant baby pouting at them all as they tried to back out.

Jake had Insisted on sitting out for now, pushing Sunoo to head to the eerily tall ride with Riki instead. Totally not just because he was too scared of the coaster at all. In addition, as they walked round the park, he noticed his boyfriend becoming increasingly uncomfortable in the heat too. He knew Sunghoon wasn't a fan of hot weather, growing up practically in the cold for most of his years. It was only natural he wouldn't be a fan of the scorching rays on summer days. The open and non sheltered queues from the previous rides definitely didn't help that either. He figured he would want a break from running around for a moment too.

"I'll stay with Jake, you guys head off." As expected, the raventte agreed. He shooed the two away, Niki gladly taking the pink haired boy by the wrist and dragging him away, a teasing smile on his lips. Sunoo scowled,  yelling something about hitting the two for leaving him alone with such a menace. . The blonde laughed at his comments, before turning up to the look at his boyfriend. The two being alone now.

"Let's find somewhere out of the sun, I'm dying." Sunghoon commented, running a hand through his hair as he glanced around at their surroundings. Eyes squinting at the brightness. Jake happily agreed, hands brushing together per usual as they walked a little further. Latching their pinkies together subtly. Jake smiled at that, looking down to the floor as they walked. Finding an ideally placed bench, sitting nicely in the shade, proving the two boys protection from the sun as they sat down.

Despite the heat they still sat closely together, legs resting beside each other's. It seemed nothing could separate them, always feeling the need to be close in some way. Jake often got scared that he was overly clingy to his boyfriend, that it would scare him away. However he felt reassured as Sunghoon would be equally as touchy to him too, often pulling him into his arms all of a sudden or clasping their hands together.

"You okay?" Sunghoon asked, making sure his boyfriend was okay after the ride he seemed terrified to go on. Jake had to admit, it was a little fun after all. His ears still felt like they were ringing from Niki's yells though.

"Yeah." He beamed back, shooting a sweet smile to the younger before looking around him.

Jake watched as kids ran by, various sweet snacks in their hands, not straying too far from their families. Excitement gleaming in their youthful eyes. Friend groups like his own, happily buzzing around the park from ride to ride. Couples who's hands were intertwined, walking closely side by side. The blonde felt a sudden need to remember the moment and the pretty view he had infront of him. From the rides looming above and the fresh flowerbeds on the ground planted around for decoration.

He pulled his phone from his pocket, snapping a few shots. Turning his gaze over to his boyfriend, who was currently facing down at his phone too. Checking the messages from his sister who had claimed she should've come too. Black hair draped infront of his head, getting long enough to cover some of his eyes. Showcasing his perfect side profile to the world.

Jake couldn't help himself and snapped a quick picture of him too. Smiling sheepishly as Sunghoon turned up to look at him, catching him straight after. Raising an eyebrow, grinning as Jake's cheeks flushed a little red.

"You looked pretty, I had to." He confessed, pouting his lips as he watched his boyfriend's smirk.

"You look pretty. Could've asked, Y'know." He hums teasingly, pulling the camera on his own phone, raising his hand to capture them both. "Let's take some together. I want more pictures of us anyway."

Jake happily obliged, moving in closer. Hoping the camera wouldn't pick up the redness on his ears as he posed. Hands forming in a peace sign as Sunghoon snapped a few shots.

The younger wrapped an arm round his neck suddenly, pressing a lingering kiss on his cheek. Making Jake feel even hotter in the heat, taken aback by the action. The two weren't typically ever affectionate at all in public. Eyes scrunching shut as he heard the camera sound again. Sunghoon knew the picture would be blurry, but he smiled widely at it as he looked at it after.

"You look so cute." He chuckled, showing Jake the picture who refused to look, batting him away in embarrassment.

"I wasn't prepared! I didn't know you were gonna do that." The Australian whined, looking away from his boyfriend. Sunghoon placed a finger under his chin, turning Jake to look at him however. Cupping his jaw after, thumb brushing over his cheek, corners of his lips etched up in an awed smile.

"Sorry, baby." He giggled, yet Jake knew there was no sincerity to it, a playful glint in his eyes. The blonde tried to ignore the blood rushing to his neck and face as he got a reminder they were in public. As mentioned before, the two were never touchy around people. Much rather preferring the privacy of quiet streets or the comfort of their own home.

It's not like they were doing anything out of the ordinary that other couples didn't do. It was the fact they weren't like other couples. He had no shame of who he was, nor no shame of Sunghoon. Yet he still felt anxious that those around would be judging them, possibly making snarky comments under their breaths. A tap to his cheek, got him out of his thoughts for a moment.

"Can I kiss you?" Sunghoon asked carefully, eyes meeting Jake's. Almost like he sensed his internal thoughts. Jake anxiously flickered his eyes away and to the people around. While people weren't looking now, they could. And atleast a few people just glancing around would see. He was afraid of other peoples opinions when he wished he wasn't. Yearning to just be mindless of those around.

"We're in public, Hoon-ah. What if people see-"

"Let them judge." He got cut off quickly. Certainty and firmness in Sunghoon's words. The two met eyes again. He didn't seem phased, nor could care less about the irrelevant opinions of people he would never see again. The confidence and unbothered nature of Sunghoon made Jake feel a lot more comfortable as well. The fact he wasn't ashamed in any way, and didn't feel the need to hide their relationship from total strangers. The elder's lips curled up at that, yet felt a little guilty he didn't have the courage to be as confident as his boyfriend. He would try to change that.

"Okay." Jake replied, still smiling subtly as he leant in. Sunghoon smiled back as he connected their lips, moving together for a quick yet sweet kiss. Hand moving down to the blonde's neck instead, just for a second. Jake's heart was swelling as the usual sparks in his stomach appeared. The feeling would never go away, no matter how many times they kissed. No matter how short or long. Even just a peck had Jake feeling like he was a high school girl.

Just as they were about to pull away, a loud gasp sounded from in front of them.

Rapidly pulling away completely the couple turned to the look at the sound. Jake's eyes widened as he noticed Sunoo gaping widely at them. Mouth practically hanging open, as he stalked over to the two. Niki beside him covering his mouth pretending to fake gag, he seemed much more unphased than the pink haired boy. Jaeyun rolled his eyes at the dramatic antics of him.

"Are you guys dating!?" Sunoo shrieked, rather loudly. Too loudly for Jake's comfort who blushed furiously when his voice caught the attention of those around.

"Sunoo! Shut up, there's people looking at you!" Jaeyun scolded, trying to calm the beating of his heart that they had been caught. He knew the group would find out one day, and well, he wasn't too bothered by them knowing. But he most certainly wasn't expecting to be caught. It wasn't like they could just brush it off as a "bro" thing. Jake thought it would be much easier to explain they were in fact dating, rather than explaining some made up reason to why they were kissing in the middle of an amusement park.

"Sorry!" Sunoo whispered yelled instead.

The two had only been gone around fifteen minutes, the queues for rides were at least an hour, and that's the bare minimum. The couple definitely didn't assume they'd be back so soon.

"Why are you guys even back? No way did you get on the ride already." Sunghoon commented, squinting his eyes at the two. Niki pouted at that, seeming obviously upset.

"It's closed for a moment! It opens back up later- anyway why were you guys kissing, I mean I'm not surprised at all. You're dating, right?" The youngest diverted the conversation back, Sunoo's expression still shocked. The tallest laughed at his obliviousness, he thought everyone knew the two had something going on. It was painfully obvious from the love eyes they made to each other whenever the seven hung out.

However the couple felt like they had hidden it well! Apparently not. If even Niki knew, Jake was certain that Jay would've known too by this rate. Hell, he even figured out something was up the day they got together. Scrap that, he assumed Sunghoon liked him before he knew Sunghoon liked him.

Jake was still blushing immensely, bringing his hand to his face in attempt to cool it down. Embarrassingly not looking up at the youngers. He heard chuckling from beside him, Sunghoon cockily wrapping an arm round his shoulder. He assumed there was no getting out of the situation. It would be nice to finally tell them all anyway.

"Yeah we are. Sorry for not telling you guys, we just wanted some time to ourselves first to see how it went." Sunghoon comments calmly, despite his heart also beating in a frenzy. Sunoo shrieked again at the words, smiling widely. Hands clasping together. The young boy seemed more excited than the couple about their own relationship, beaming brightly.

"Oh my god! You're so cute together. Now that you say that it makes sense- Wait, when did this happen? How!?" He inquired, back to talking loudly, while Niki laughed at the two on the bench who became increasingly flustered with the questions.

"Why is Sunoo yelling?" Heeseung commented, eyebrows raised as Jay and Jungwon walked beside him. The youngest of the three seemed overjoyed, a cute Pokemon plushie in his arms. It seemed they eldests successful won through the rigged games.

"Because he found out Jake and Sunghoon hyung are dating." The maknae replied nonchalantly, a shrug of his shoulders.

"Riki, shut up, my god!" Jake scowled.

"You're dating?" Heeseung asked, shifting his focus to the blushing boys, who nodded shyly. "I figured something was going on, I didn't know you were official. Congrats though." He smiled sweetly towards the two. Jake felt his chest warming at the supportiveness from their friends. He knew they would be, but there was always that anxiety in the back of his mind that it wouldn't go well. Or they'd make them somewhat uncomfortable.

Jay seemed absolutely done, however.

"About time you told us! I was so sick of watching you two, I was going crazy."

"Sorry." Sunghoon sheepishly smiled, bringing a hand to rub at the back of his neck. "You're all fine with it, right?" Seeming genuinely concerned as he scanned his eyes over each of his friends. Jake felt a little relieved he was as anxious as him.

The group practically laughed aloud at the comment however.

"Of course we are, if you guys are happy that's all that matters. Don't you dare be all PDA though, I'll throw up!" Jungwon cringed, scrunching his nose as he glared over to the two. They chuckled in response but agreed anyway.

Jake felt like a weight had been lifted of his shoulders as the seven continued to move around the park. Feeling extremely grateful for all his friends for their supportive nature. Pride blooming in his chest, happy they had been brought all together. He was especially happy now as he could walk around hand interlaced with his boyfriend's. He knew if they were to face judgment, the perpetrators would have 5 angry boys to deal with.

The group decided to spare them of teasing for that day, leaving that for another time indefinitely. Much too focused on trying to win at more games and buy severely overpriced candy at the stores. Their wallets may be crying tomorrow but they all felt too happy to care right then. The seven of them always felt complete with one another.

They spent the rest of the evening rushing back and forth between rides. Jake unfortunately was dragged onto the ride he was dreading the most. His insides churning each time the queue moved a little forward. Yet it wasn't all that bad at the end, did he enjoy the feeling of his organs coming to his throat at the immense speed and high drop? No. But it was definitely funny seeing Niki's face afterwards on the photo screen.

The painful heat had calmed down throughout the evening. Now a cool breeze as the group made their wait back to the carpark. Gentle wind brushing past and cooling them all. Chatting peacefully among each other as they walked. Jungwon struggling to carry not one but three plushies they had somehow managed to win. Jay claimed he was just an expert at winning through rigs. Extremely impressed with himself and smiling widely at Jungwon's pleased face. Who thanked him a million times over.

They parted ways with the couple, who headed back to Sunghoon's car.

Before Jake could enter, he felt arms being wrapped around his waist. He smiled at the sudden action and turned around in his arms, looking up to his boyfriend. Their height difference always seemed so big whenever they stood like this, yet Jake loved it. How easily he was held by Sunghoon, and having to pull him down whenever they kissed.

"I got you something." The taller said, fangs peeking out as he smiled a little. Jake tilted his head in curiosity and watched as Sunghoon pulled something out the pocket of his jacket. Passing the box to Jake, who took it and examined the object.

It was a small polaroid camera, something in one of the gift shops he thought about getting for a moment. It was cutely coloured, and had an old fashioned look. He had complained a few days that he needed a new one, yet didn't really want to buy the overpriced one from the shop. No matter how much he liked how it looked.

He glanced up to Sunghoon again, a grateful expression on his face. Polaroids were one of Jake's favourite things. He liked to capture pretty things, wether that was scenery or moments worth remembering. Enjoying how raw polaroids were, how they couldn't be edited and were right there immediately. Exactly as it had been taken, maintaining the feel and meaning of the moment.

Jake brought his free hand to the nape of Sunghoon's neck and pulled him down to his height.

"Thank you, Hoonie. I love it."

The younger responded in a kiss, savouring the taste of their lips together. Flavours of the sweet treats they had eaten still reminiscing on their lips.

"You're welcome." He hummed, pressing a peck to his forehead before reaching over for the box for a moment. "Let's take one now?" Jake wasted no time, quickly taking the camera out the box and snapping a photo the best he could. Sunghoon's arms still round his waist from behind.

Capturing the perfect ending to a sweet day. It was definitely going onto Jake's wall.

"I love you." The Australian said as they began to drive back to their apartment. He felt like they were the only words he could think of right then. Sunghoon blushed a little, a pretty pink tint dusting his face.

"I love you too." Smiling so sweetly, Jake felt himself melting.

____

By now, the sun had already set as Sunghoon continued to drive home. Headlights and lampposts illuminating the darkness as he drove through the busy streets. The quiet melody of music in the background, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Even more so when he heard quiet, soft snores from the boy next to him.

Stopping at a red light, he glanced over to Jake. Eyes shut peacefully, a natural pout resting on his perfect lips. Sunghoon felt his heart fluttering and himself smiling a little at the sight. He could never fathom how adorable his boyfriend was, and the fact he was his boyfriend. Chest blooming with admiration and pride as he stared in awe. Wondering how he had gotten so lucky.

The red glow from the traffic lights reflected on Jake's face, highlighting his soft features. The  gentle slope of his nose and closed eyelids. Fluffy, honey blonde hair draping over his forehead, making him look impossibly softer. Sunghoon felt the urge to hurry home so the elder wouldn't strain his neck from leaning to the side, yet also wanted to stay exactly like this forever. Admiring the beauty of the sight before him, washed out sounds of the streets outside and music stimulating the back of his mind. Jake's playlist, that is.

He reached a hand over, gently pushing away some of the latter's hair from his eyes. Careful not to wake him from the blissful sleep. He too was exhausted from the long day, he knew both of them had shorter social batteries than the rest. Maybe that's what made them click so well. Knowing each other limits and when to just silently enjoy the company. Maybe everything about them complimented each-other so well, their opposites and similarities. The way Sunghoon was a morning person, often awake before Jake's early shifts, ready with a coffee to his taste. In return, Jake was a night owl, waiting for his boyfriend's return from work by preparing their meal for the night.

While Jake was clingy, physical touch being his love language, it gave reassurance to Sunghoon. Allowed him the opportunity to talk and compliment his boyfriend, as his love language was words of affirmation and quality time. As well as his adoration for holding hands which catered to them both. Loving the feeling of running a thumb soothingly over Jake's hand when he was anxious. He loved everything to do with Jake. From his sugar coated voice, comforting aura to his beaming heart smile.

Sunghoon's eyes twinkled as he still gazed idly, thinking that he wouldn't change a thing for the world. Grateful that he finally got a chance to meet Jake, grateful that the two had moved in. He had a couple partners in the past, yet he had never felt the emotions he felt towards the elder. This was incomparable, and so much more overwhelming. In a good way, of course. Love was never an easy thing for Sunghoon. Being a child athlete from a young age never allowed him the opportunity to create connections with people. The last relationships being mill of the moments and short lived, he felt like he had never had the time to fall in love.

Ironic, as he felt like he fell for Jake the moment he saw him. His awkward voice as he introduced himself after being startled. Cheeks flushed a little red as he quickly scurried off to bring his stuff in the apartment. Sunghoon already felt the sudden need to protect the shy boy. And hell, did he do just that.

Jake's kindness is something he would never stop appreciating. How easily he managed to get on with people despite his anxiety, how selfless he was. Everyone seemed to come before him, which Sunghoon both admired and hated. Seeing the worst of Jake's breakdowns made him wish the boy could be selfish for once. Put his own emotions first. Yet at the same time, it gave Sunghoon space to reassure and console him. To tell Jake all these things, and love the way his ears would go red everytime.

How he had managed to have his love requited by someone so stunning inside and out will never make Sunghoon stop feeling like a love struck teenager. That's exactly what he was after all. As much as he loved to act confident, the same giddy and warm emotion resided inside him. Face still flushed yet less noticeable. He was a complete and utter sap when it came to Sim Jaeyun, and would easily do anything for him. Just a simple request with those puppy eyes and Sunghoon would give him the whole world if he could.

Too caught up in the abundance of love and snappiness he was currently feeling, he almost forgot about the fact he was still on the road. Quickly noticing the red flicker to orange to green and continuing his drive. He smiled as he watched Jake stir at the sudden movement, pretty, pink lips somehow pouting even more. Sunghoon was gone. His boyfriend was too cute for him to handle.

The journey came to an end after he finally pulled into the carpark of their apartment building. Sighing as he pulled the keys out the car, and turning back over to his boyfriend. As much as he didn't want to wake him, he figured it would be pretty hard to carry a sleeping 5'8 male up 4 flights of stairs. Much different from a simple walk from the bedroom to living room. For all those times Jake had simply refused to get up, claiming he was too comfortable. The raventte chuckled softly at the memories.

He removed his seatbelt and leant over the passenger side, cupping his boyfriends face, not wanting him to strain his neck for any longer. Tapping his cheek feebly a few times.

"Jakey." He called out, dragging out the last syllable. Said boy stirred, eyebrows furrowing at the distribution. Sunghoon felt himself smiling even wider. "Pup, wake up. We're home you can sleep when you're inside." He said, shaking the boy softly.

Jake scrunched his eyes shut before fluttering them open, very much not impressed by being woken. He groaned, moving closer into the touch on his cheek and jaw. Mind still in a daze, as he tried to see in the darkness with not much light around. After a few moments he did come to and met with his boyfriend's eyes. A comforting gaze. Sunghoon allowed him to stare for a few seconds before giggling at his cuteness.

"Hi, baby." Sunghoon hummed, moving his face a little closer. Jake took it upon himself to shift and rest his forehead against the younger's. Noses brushing against eachother, as he closed his eyes again. Despite being called that nickname about a thousands times now, it never failed to make him blush. All of Sunghoon's hundreds of pet names made him blush.

"Hi, m' tired." He replied, voice sleepy, bumping their noses together. Feeling their calm breaths on each other's lips, it was oddly comforting. Sunghoon chuckled again, moving his hand to brush through his boyfriend's hair lightly.

"Yeah? Let's get inside then,  you can sleep then." He whispered, leaning forward and pecking Jake's top lip, right on the sharp Cupid's bow. The blonde smiled dumbly at that, returning the kiss by pecking the younger's lips fully. He brought a hand up to rest at his boyfriend's nape, playing with the loose black hair.

"I like it here." He mumbled against his lips, to which Sunghoon laughed.

"You're so cute, Yunie. I would love to stay here, but it's kind of uncomfortable leaning over like this." He commented, pulling his face away a little to examine Jake's instead. Loving the way his eyes quickly flickered over his position and smiled sheepishly. If it wasn't so dark he'd love to see the blush he just knew was there too.

"Sorry, yeah okay." Jake finally gave in, retracting his hand and pulling away. Sunghoon just shook his head endearingly, pressing his lips to his forehead quickly to let him know it was okay. Before he made his way out of the car, the latter mimicking his actions.

Latching their hands together as they made their way into the apartment compex. They were as clingy as ever but they loved it. Knowing it was just them with no one around gave them so much freedom to be as close as they wanted. Jake adored physical contact, of course especially with Sunghoon than anyone else. The warmth and comfort hadn't faded a bit, he was sure it would never. The Honey-moon phase people would call it. He wasn't sure how long it was suppose to last, yet he felt like it would last forever. He could never get bored or sick of the contact. He'd forever want to end up in his lover's arms no matter how many years pass.

They entered their apartment, Jake heading straight for Sunghoon's room. Which was basically both of their room at this rate. A lot of the Australian's clothes and items being in there from how often he would stay with Sunghoon. As well as many of his room's characteristics seeping into the younger's. Which used to be plain and simple, now had bundles of polaroids and photos hung up messily over the walls. All being from the times they had spent with the friend group or even just the two together. A few posters had even made their way up onto the walls too. Jake liked to think he was rubbing off on the younger and his heart swelled to see it. Especially at one specific photo they had taken, sunset in the background with interlocked lips. It was his favourite.

Upon entering the room, Jake fully sprawled out across the bed, burring himself in the masses of blanket's and pillow. Melting into the softness and familiar scent. He knew he had to wash up, yet didn't find himself caring right then, much too occupied by how comfortable he was.

Sunghoon seeing the sight took that as his queue to wash up first instead, laughing at the sight of his boyfriend rolled up in his bed. Walking over to get clothes from his drawers, and then to ruffle Jake's hair.

"You better not fall asleep, I'll go shower first." He called out, as he threw a stray pillow right over at his boyfriend. Who whined in protest as it almost hit him right in the head, scowling at the raventte. Who again barked out a chuckle as he left the room.

The two finished up quickly after a while, and Jake hesitantly leaving the blankets. Yet he soon came back in, hair dripping wet, towel still wrapped around his shoulders. Eyes droopy as he longed to finally get some well deserved sleep after having his insides thrown around by coasters all day! And coming out to the whole friend group! He couldn't deny though, it was the funnest day he'd had in a while, it also felt relieving that everyone knew too. They wouldn't have to hide anymore, and his heart swelled at how supportive the whole group were towards their relationship. He had really gotten the greatest friends, almost like fate. No, he believed it was fate.

"Aish, come here, your hair is still soaked." His boyfriend pestered, placing down his phone on the bedside table. Jake smiled sheepishly as he made his way over, gladly hopping back onto the soft mattress.

Sunghoon moved closer, pulling the towel from the blonde's neck and drying his hair with it. The elder felt himself grinning wider at the concentration in the other's eyes as he ruffled his hair dry.

"You look like a drenched puppy." Sunghoon teased as he removed the towel after he was done, giggling at the elder's pout that was forming. Now running a hand soothingly through his damp hair, and leaning forward to press a peck to his pouted lips. Jake flushed at the action, butterflies swarming his tummy.

"What is it with you and calling me a puppy?" He huffs out, squinting his eyes as he met with the other's. His heart bloomed as he was provided with the sight of Sunghoon's stunning smile, his dimple making it hard to resist poking again.

"Because you look just like one." He hums, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend's waist and tugging him closer. Almost so Jake was sitting in his lap. "And you're adorable just like one." He smirked at the sight of Jaeyun's ears going red. Deciding to keep up with the teasing, he shifted his face closer too. "And I know you love it, even if you pretend you don't." He continued, smiling as he pressed a chaste kiss to his boyfriend's cheek. Which was flushed pink, Sunghoon chuckling in response.

Jake whined, hiding away in the crook of the younger’s neck, wrapping his arms around him too. Bringing the two closer, how he always wanted to be.

"I'll never be free from your teasing, will I?" Voice muffled, breath hitting the younger's skin. He chose not to resist the urge and left a few kisses on the exposed skin. Sunghoon giggling at the ticklish feeling. Pressing a kiss of his own to Jake's temple.

"Admit you like it, honey, and I'll give you a whole day free of teasing after." He proposed, fingers massaging at the elder's sides. Jake melted into the touch, yet felt himself immensely still burning up from his flustered state. He would definitely love a day free of the teasing. He pulled away, peering at his boyfriend's face in contemplation. Lips forming in a tight line.

"I don't believe you. You, Park Sunghoon, going a whole day without teasing me?" If he could raise one eyebrow at a time, he'd definitely be doing that right now. Mentioned male laughed,  shifting them so Jake was now fully in his lap. Legs wrapping around him comfortably.

"When have I ever lied?"

He peered at him one last time before giving in, sighing.

"Fine." Jake rolled his eyes before leaning in and taking his boyfriend's lips into a sudden kiss. Sunghoon was taken aback for a moment, usually being the one to initiate things. Yet he wasn't complaining, happily kissing back after a moment and taking control subtly.

Their lips moved passionately yet slowly, the blonde's hand idly playing with the hair on Sunghoon's nape. They were both tired, knowing they wouldn't do much other than kissing. The younger tilted their heads for better access, bringing a hand up to cup his jaw, other hand firm on his waist. They kissed for a few more minutes, before pulling away. Jake mumbling against his lips.

"I like it." He admitted shyly, immediately feeling the smirk on his boyfriend's lips as they kissed softly again.

"You like what, pup?" Sunghoon prodded on smugly, nickname intentional. Yet was immediately met with a semi-gentle whack on the shoulder.

"Hey! You know what I mean. You said no teasing after I admitted it." Jake protested, trying to ignore the blood rushing to his neck. Bottom lip puckered out slightly. Sunghoon laughed, wanting to coo at the sight. He pulled away a little and pressed a kiss to the tip of his nose instead. Thumb brushing over Jake's bottom lip that was pouted out.

"Alright, alright. You can have your free day." He chuckled, heart fluttering seeing the way Jake's eyes lit up in glee. Relief that his heart could have some kind of rest for a day that is. He adored Sunghoon's teasing in reality but he was sure he'd have cardiac arrest soon if he didn't catch a break!

Jake nuzzled into his boyfriend's neck, feeling pure bliss at the gentle massage on his waist. Feeling such comfort as a press of lips were against his temple once again. Just their calm breaths filling the quietness. Their safe place.

They sat in silence for a while, exhaustion catching back up to the both of them. Shifting their position so they laid instead, legs intertwined and still as close as can be. Sunghoon rested a hand on his boyfriend's face, thumb rubbing over the apple of his cheek. It gave him a strong sense of deja-vu to when he had drunkenly confessed, practically In the same position. He would never get over the embarrassment of that.

Yet this time, as they laid together,  he knew his feelings were requited. His head in a right state of mind to put together all his emotions. To appreciate his ethereal boyfriend whos eyes were fluttering shut at the compassionate affection.

Sunghoon felt overwhelmed with emotions all of a sudden, so grateful his feelings had been returned. He couldn't picture himself with anyone else, nor did he want to. The two hadn't been together too long, yet he felt like it had been years. Familiar to their friendship which developed so easily. Jake felt much like someone who's been around forever, when it's only been a matter of  months. How he had gotten so love-struck was beyond him, he never realised the strength of the emotion. While it could be the most painful thing, he hoped it wouldn't get to that point, ever. Because it was the most beautiful thing right now. He loved the elder with more words than he could describe.

Eyes scanning over each feature of his boyfriend, wanting to talk once more before they drifted off into sleep. He moved his face closer, noses bumping together like usual. Jake opened his eyes in response, meeting with his boyfriend's.

Love and adoration so clear in the twinkle of his irises.

"I love you so much, I'm so lucky to have you Jakey." He whispered, full sincerity and vulnerability lacing his words. Jaeyun felt himself smile, placing his hand over Sunghoon's which resided on his cheek. Intertwining their fingers together slightly.

"I love you more, Hoonie. I definitely think I'm the lucky one." Squeezing his hand as he spoke. In response Sunghoon leant over and pressed multiple pecks onto Jake's face, giggling at the action. One to his temple, forehead, nose, cheeks, lips. Each conveying a message he couldn't express.

How he cherished him.

"I love you more. I'm serious, honey, you mean so much to me." He whispered after settling back down, smiling like a complete idiot. Pulling Jake closer to him, who contently nuzzled into the crook of his neck as Sunghoon rested his chin ontop of his head.

"I'm too tired to challenge you, but I feel the same, Hoon-ah." Voice slurred a little yet still so genuine. Sunghoon pressed a final kiss on the crown of his head, pleasurably taking in the scent of his familiar vanilla shampoo. Gentle and even breaths hitting his neck just minutes after. He securely wrapped his arms around his waist per usual.

He always wanted this. To fall asleep with his beloved cradled in his arms. No sounds yet the soft snores. And to wake up, seeing his boyfriend's hair fluffy and messy, such a tranquil look on his face. He wanted this forever.

"Sleep well, my love."
