Relief.
Warmth.
And not ever too warm at that, the kind of warmth brought on by a summer where the sun would beat down on one ’s head, causing one to overheat.
It was a dream come true, but there was never a question in his mind about why he was there instead of Stardew Valley for the simple fact that mentally he wasn ’t stressed with everything going on around him, such as his stepfather complaining about how he didn’t have a real job or never living up to what his genius younger half-sister could do. There was no Abigail not listening to him when he said no regarding boundaries—strangely enough, everyone here had a good sense of boundaries, which was odd given how friendly they could all be.
But most of all, nobody judged him for being himself, so Sebastian was fine as time passed from one season to the next. It was a delightful break from what felt like a lifetime of not—
It was simply different, better, those thoughts of back home being pushed aside as his mind settled on this being home, of Dreamlight valley being normal.
And there he was, okay with everything going on, not expecting—
Moana kissed him.
Sebastian ’s eyes blinked, his mouth opening in surprise, and then his eyes went up to see the mistletoe, his mind knowing full well it was that time of year. “Oh.”
It was certainly unexpected, but in that—well, mistletoe. There seemed to be a social custom of not asking, yet Abigail had never taken advantage of it before. Nobody, and then Moana did. She held her hands behind her back. “Anyways. Do you want to go fishing?”
“Uh, sure,” Sebastian said.
