    What if Carolyn lived? Maybe Riddick wouldn't have taken off to a frozen planet by himself and Jack wouldn't end up in a slam. But once they're off that inhospitable rock they still need to lay low. Where better than Serenity? After all, Mal is short a few crew since Jayne took off and Wash is dead.
