   Summary

   Wrecked by a year of captivity, Lucerys numbly watches his mother eaten alive on Dragonstone, overseen by King Aegon and his brother, Aemond. With the end of the war, Lucerys returns to King’s Landing a prisoner once more, stripped of his titles and formally designated a bastard. But, following the King’s sudden death, attention turns again to Lucerys as a prospective heir to the throne. The new King Aemond, faced with incredible unpopularity and insurrection, turns to the former prince as a potential wife: a final attempt to heal the devastation of House Targaryen.
