“No.” He stated defiantly. Kalim Al-Asim didn’t normally tell his parents no , but he felt he had every single right to do so at that moment. His father’s brow arched. “What do you mean no ? You don’t have a choice in the matter, Kalim.” He commented, fingers strumming against the desk he resided at. Kalim scowled, garnet eyes flashing. “ You promised me that I could pick my own wife. Now you’re telling me that I no longer get that. So not only do I have to get married before my 23rd birthday to keep my heirship but now I don’t even get the choice of my bride to be? This isn’t fair.” He said, angrily. “I don’t even want to be the heir! I want to do what I want to do!!” Kalim huffed. “I can’t even do that because it’s always been the first born Asim and nobody will change that stupid family rule!!!”
Hanna Asim sighed heavily. He knew his son was right but there wasn’t much he could do against the family elders. They had of course been the ones calling most of the shots since the start of the Asim family. Trying to change their rules was like trying to remove teeth without pain medication and proper equipment. It just wasn’t going to happen. It would take years if they wanted to do it by the family’s standards. There were too many rules and regulations that were intertwined together to untangle the mess that was the strict guidelines to their family. It had been the same for him when he was old enough to be trained to take over. Hanna looked to his first and favorite wife, Naomi.
The woman stood up and walked to stand in front of her son. “Kalim, sweetheart, I know we promised that you could pick your bride and we don’t have a problem with you picking but the elders are demanding you marry as soon as possible.” She told him, cupping his face. Kalim grimaced as his garnet eyes filled with tears. “They won’t wait until she comes home? She promised she’d be home before my birthday.” He insisted, locking eyes with his mother. The woman shook her head. “I’m sorry, love. They want you married by the end of Sunday.” Naomi explained. Kalim yanked himself out of his mother’s hold, wiping angrily at the tears that had begun to fall. The end of Sunday meant that he had one day left before he was to be wedded to a complete stranger.
“If it helps, son, they allowed us to choose her in your place. We promise you’re going to love her.” Hanna told him, trying to appease his eldest son.” Kalim stared at his parents blankly. “Is that supposed to make me feel better ?” He asked, unable to prevent the hurt from dripping into his tone. “I’m supposed to feel better because my parents chose my soon to be wife? No… I need to go. I need to call Jamil and speak with her.” He said, not giving his parents a chance to say another word as he removed himself from the room. His mother sighed softly, shaking her head. “We did the right thing.” She said, not to anyone in particular. Hanna hummed in agreement. “We did. Hopefully his phone call with Jamil will soothe him.” He commented, hopeful. Naomi leaned her head against her husband’s. “Jamil knows what to do.”

Inside Kalim’s room, the young heir sat on his balcony, phone pressed to his ear as he listened to the voice of the woman who had been his companion since the young age of five. She had automatically known that something was wrong just by the tone of his voice as he asked, nearly pleading, for her to tell him of her most recent travels. After telling him of a few tales, she let out a sigh before speaking. “ Kalim, tell me what’s wrong. You called me for a reason. I know something has upset you .” Jamil said, tone soft as she spoke to the only man she had (not that she would admit it) a rather soft spot for. Kalim swallowed thickly before he spilled everything that he had learned just a couple hours prior. Despite Jamil not being able to see him, he covered his eyes as tears spilled from the corners of his bright, garnet eyes. He could hear the soft sigh on the other end of the phone. “ So they’re making you get married so soon? " She hummed softly. “ Kalim, there isn’t anything you can do. They’re the elders and what they say goes .” Jamil remarked as Kalim let out a groan of frustration.
“I know!” He declared sadness in his tone. “I know… I just… I was hoping they’d hold out long enough for you to return.” The oldest Viper daughter felt her lips twitch a bit. " It isn't the end of the world. Afterall, your father has many wives ." She pointed out. "I wanted you as my first wife though!" Kalim insisted. " Kalim, you have to listen to the elders ." Jamil replied, rolling her eyes. " Look, I might not be able to be your first wife but it'll be okay. I'm working on getting a portal home so I can be at the wedding, alright? " She told him. Kalim perked, sitting up straight. "Wait, really?" He asked, excitement in his tone obvious. She let out a light laugh. " Yes. I should be there by Sunday morning ." Kalim beamed at the idea. He may have to wait till he can marry his best friend but at least she could make it in time for his first wedding. It just meant that she would have to be his second.
"Okay. Okay, this… this isn't so bad. Not if you're going to make it at least. I can do this with you by my side." Kalim decided determinedly. Jamil’s lips twitched in amusement at the sudden declaration. “ Yes you can, Kalim. It isn’t the end of the world because I’m not your first wife. ” She teased, grinning as she repeated her earlier statement. Kalim let out a small laugh. “I know, I know!” He replied, sighing. “ Okay, I’ll let you go now. I have things to do before I come home .” She told him. The heir hummed, nodding. “Okay. I can’t wait until you’re home! I could really use a hug right now.” He whispered to her softly. Jamil smiled gently. “ You can give me the BIGGEST hug when you see me. ” She answered with a soft tone. The garnet eyed heir beamed. “Oh, believe me! I plan on it!” He chirped, happily. The long haired female laughed. “ I know you will. ”
“Okay! I’ll let you go now! I love you!” He exclaimed, much happier than at the start of the conversation. Jamil hummed, lips curved in a small smile as she heard the tell-tale click of the phone call ending. The eldest Viper groaned as she flopped back onto her bed. Beside her, her younger sister snorted in amusement. “I don’t understand why you didn’t just tell him you’re home already.” She commented, laughing as Jamil smacked her with a pillow. “Because that would defeat the purpose!” She hissed. “None of the servants are allowed to even mention anything to Kalim. If he found out before-” Jamil groaned at the chaos it could possibly cause. Najma laughed once more at her older sister's expense. The older Viper female shoved the younger, only causing more laughter to fill the room. “Najma, he can NOT find out about this before the wedding.” She told her sister firmly. The other girl rolled her eyes, smiling. “Your secret is safe with me, Mimi.” She chirped, giving her older sister a very cheshire smile. “Oh great sevens.” Jamil groaned as she hopped off her bed and forced her younger sister from the room. The youngest Viper laughed as she stumbled out of the room and ran off to find something to do to keep busy.

Sunday morning found Kalim pacing the inside of the room he was in, preparing for a wedding he wasn’t quite ready for. He knew that he would have been just as anxious if he was marrying Jamil but that anxiety would have been both from nerves and excitement. The anxiety he had now was more dread of meeting a bride he knew he would never feel the same for. He knew he would never feel for his future wife that he felt for her . Of course Kalim would treat her like his wife to the best of his capability and give her everything a wife deserved, but the kind of love for this wife would never be the same kind of love he held for his childhood friend. Jamil was his very first love. It had been quite literally love at first sight. His lips curved into a fond smile at the memory of his five year old self proclaiming loudly “ I’m gonna marry Jamil! ” while the girl in question just rolled her eyes and announced in return, “ No you won’t .”
A knock on the door pulled him from his memories, making the heir perk up. He rushed to the door and flung it open, shoulders drooping when he saw it wasn’t the very woman he was thinking of. Instead, standing in front of him with her brows arched was Najma. Kalim stepped aside to allow the younger Viper inside of the room. “You look disappointed to see me.” She commented absently. Kalim shook his head, sighing. “No! I’m happy to see a familiar face!” He told her, running his hand through his white hair. “I just-” Najma hummed, lips twitching. “You were expecting Jamil to show up and help you get ready.” She finished for him. The heir nodded. “Yeah. I was hoping she was here by now.” He admitted. Najma nodded as she began to help the older male get ready. “I spoke with her about fifteen minutes ago, ya know.” She told him, making him whip around to glance at her. “She said she’d be a bit late. Something about the portal not working properly. They told her it’d take a couple hours. Jamil promised she’d be here in time for the actual wedding though.” The younger woman told the groom-to-be. Kalim bit his lip before nodding slowly in disappointment.
Najma paused tying his tie to look at him with a soft smile. “She’s going to be here, Kalim. I can absolutely guarantee that.” She said firmly. Kalim looked at her again, white brow arched. “How can you guarantee that though?” The woman grinned mischievously. “I have my ways. You’re just going to have to take my word on it, okay? I haven’t let you down so why would I now?” She questioned, hands gripping his upper arms. She gave his arms a quick squeeze before stepping aside. “Now, I am done with you and someone else is coming to do your makeup.” She told him as a knock sounded on the door. “Ah! Perfect timing!” She chirped, skipping to the door to yank it open. Much to Kalim’s surprise, standing in the doorway with all of his glory was Vil Schoenheit himself. “Vil?!” He beamed, jumping up from the seat he had sat himself. He flung his arms around the other man, hugging him tight before letting him go.
“I didn’t expect any of my friends to show up!” He said, relief sagging his shoulders. Vil hummed, a small smile resting on his lips. “Well, you’ll be happy to find out that I’m not the only friend here to support you out on your big day.” He announced. Kalim perked up. “Really?” VIl let out an airy laugh. “Of course! What kind of friends would we be if we didn’t show up for your wedding, Kalim?” He asked, setting a large makeup bag onto the vanity. “Now, sit yourself down so I can do the little magic I need to do for you.” He instructed. Kalim flopped into the chair, turning completely to face Vil. “How did you guys know about my wedding when I just found out myself?” He questioned, curiosity in his voice. Vil paused digging through his bag to look at Kalim. His perfect brow arched as a smile rose onto his face. “Where would the fun be if I told you?” He asked. Kalim looked at him, confusion evident across his face. “I don’t understand how everyone knows when I only just found this out Friday.” He sighed, closing his eyes to allow Vil to do his makeup. “Don’t worry your pretty little head off.” Vil told him. “Now let’s get you looking pretty for your bride.”
************************************************************
A few hours (and multiple visits from friends that were not Jamil) later, Kalim was standing in the middle of a rather large, impressive wedding stage that was in the Asims’ courtyard. Of course it was of absolutely no surprise to anyone in attendance that the Asims had gone over the top with the decor. Even so, Kalim had been baffled and utterly blown away at how the Asim Palace courtyard had looked when he finally made his way to where he was meant to wait for his future bride. Now he stood on the stage, waiting for her to arrive with her parents. He didn’t have a clue what she would look like. Nobody (not even servants) had told him what she looked like. The only thing anyone would tell him was that he would love her and that his parents had picked his bride for him perfectly. The only response any of them got was a small smile from the young heir.
While it felt like it had been hours (Kalim knew better), he could finally see his bride-to-be making her way to meet him at the center of the stage. He swallowed thickly as he turned to face the woman approaching him. Over her shoulder he could see her parents following her, pausing a few feet away. Kalim bit his lip as he stiffened. He knew that he was required to receive their formal blessings before the wedding ceremony itself but… he couldn’t bring himself to move from the spot he was at. All eyes were on him and for once in his life, he couldn’t handle the pressure from the sudden attention. He shook his head as he backed up. “I-” He started, taking a shaky breath. “I need a moment, please!” Kalim said quickly before disappearing off of the stage. The garnet eyed man disappeared through the halls of his palace, letting his feet carry him away from where he was meant to be.
He wasn’t quite sure where he was going but he went wherever his body was taking him. He had to get away. Just for a moment. He needed to get away from the entire mess that was his life that second. It had taken him at least ten minutes to finally quit running. Once he did he recognized his hiding spot automatically. It was in the middle of the hedge maze that his family had in one of their gardens. It was a spot that he would hide when he was a boy after a major, traumatic event would occur. Nobody ever found where he was. No one ever knew except for-
“Did you really have to run this far?” A familiar voice asked behind him. Kalim spun around, garnet eyes spotting the very woman he had run away from . “Wait… What?! ” He exclaimed, brows furrowing in utter confusion. She walked closer to him, sitting on the bench that was beside him. Kalim sat down beside her slowly, watching her as she adjusted her gown. “What?” She demanded, head turned towards the man. The heir’s brows were still furrowed, confusion still etched across his face as he tried to figure out whether he was hallucinating or if the woman beside him was actually who he thought she was. Swallowing thickly, Kalim reached out with both hands, pulling the veil covering his bride-to-be’s face over her head. A dark brow rose as garnet eyes met charcoal. “Jamil!!” He yelped, eyes wide as he cupped her face between his hands. His eyes filled with tears as he leaned forward, kissing her repeatedly. “I thought- What’s going on?” He asked, between kisses. The woman let out a small laugh. “Kalim! If you stop , I’ll explain what’s happening!” She told him, playfully pushing him away.
Kalim pressed his forehead against hers, nodding. “Please do. I’m so utterly confused right now. Wait!” He sat up, looking at her. Jamil’s brow rose again. “Let me explain then you’ll understand and if you still don’t then you can ask your questions.” She said exasperatedly. Kalim closed his mouth, nodding. “So I know there was a demand from your elders for you to be married as soon as possible.” She commented, watching the heir nod. “Well, that was because of me.” Jamil mused, glancing at him. She watched his brows furrow again. “After my last visit, something came up and it made me realize that I wanted to marry you as soon as I possibly could so I called your parents. I asked if they could help me set our entire wedding up without letting you know. I had them pose it as an arranged marriage. I knew you wouldn’t be for that at all but I wanted to surprise you and the only way to convince you to marry a stranger was with an arranged marriage.” She explained, eyes rested on Kalim as he listened to her speak. “So I returned home a week ago to prepare for today. Everybody did really well about keeping silent.”
Kalim sputtered, looking dumbfounded. “You managed to keep everyone silent the entire time?” He gaped. Jamil laughed as she stood up. “Of course we did. They can be quite impressive when they try hard enough.” She mused, holding her hand out to him. Kalim smiled at her as he took her hand and stood up. “I believe we have a wedding to do.” She hummed, squeezing his hand lightly. Kalim laughed, bringing her hand up to kiss the back. “Now that I know who my bride is, I’m definitely excited.” He told her before leaning over to give her a kiss. Jamil smiled against his lips before pulling away. "Hey now, sir , there will be none of that until we are officially married." She joked, playfully pushing at his chest. Kalim grinned, reaching up to pull the veil back in front of her face. "I apologize, ma'am. I'll be good now." He replied, tone just as playful as hers. Jamil grinned before giving him a quick kiss on the cheek and lacing her arm through his offered arm. "Let's go before everyone assumes you jumped carpet and bolted from the Scalding Sands." She said with a snicker, guiding them back through the maze. Kalim couldn't help the laugh as he followed her. "That would probably be the best idea."
************************************************************
It had taken the pair approximately fifteen minutes to return back to the stage. There they found many of the guests whispering and looking around, no doubt wondering where the couple were hiding. Jamil turned to glance at Kalim before she grinned. She brought her hands up and let out a loud whistle to gather everybody’s attention. “Found him!” She called out before she walked back onto the stage, pulling a blushing and smiling Kalim. The heir brought his hand up to wave awkwardly at everyone looking at them. “I’m sorry that I left… I just got freaked out.” He said. “Everything is better now.” He promised before turning to Jamil’s parents. The garnet eyed heir knelt down in front of the two (much to the surprise of everyone), bowing down, forehead pressed against the cool ground. “Amir, Dalia, I must apologize to you for my behavior. It was inappropriate. I should not have left so abruptly like I did during such an important service.” Dalia shook her head with a small smile. “Master Kalim, please don’t bow to us. We understand you didn’t know what was happening.” She replied, kneeling down as Kalim sat up to look at her.
“I’m sure that everyone would love to get the ball rolling though, so why don’t you get up and let’s do this properly?” She asked with a smile. Kalim nodded, smiling as he stood. He wiped his pants off quickly and stood tall. The eldest Asim child faced Dalia and Amir, giving them both a bow. “I would like to formally request for your eldest daughter, Jamil’s, hand in marriage.” Amir hummed thoughtfully, dark brow arching as he looked at the Asim heir. “After that show, I don’t know if I should allow it.” He stated, arms folding over his chest as his eyes narrowed, watching Kalim. “How do we know that you won’t decide at some point later that you’re tired of being married and you leave her out in the sands?” Jamil stared openly at her father as she yanked the veil over her head. “Dad!” She hissed, causing a handful of guests to laugh. The Viper man let out a loud laugh. “Darling, I’m only messing with him. No need to fret.” He told her as she rolled her eyes. Kalim, on the other hand, had a determined look on his face, saying in complete and total honesty. "I would give up everything I own and everything in the Asim name before I ever did something like that to your daughter." He declared, looking at the now blushing bride. Jamil gave him a soft smile, playing with the edge of the veil.
Amir clamped his hand on Kalim’s shoulder, giving it a squeeze. “You have our blessings, young master.” He told the heir. Kalim beamed, looking towards Dalia, who nodded at him as she smiled. The garnet eyed man flung his arms around both of their necks, hugging them tightly before letting the pair go. “Then let’s get this party started!” He called out as he let the pair go. The Asim heir turned to Jamil and scooped her into his arms, spinning around. “We’re getting married, Kalim, not throwing a party!” She laughed, arms wrapping around his neck. “At least not until after the ceremony!” Jamil commented, pecking his cheek lightly. Kalim beamed again at the idea of having a party once the ceremony was finished. “Ya know… for once the party isn’t the most important part of today I’m looking forward to.” He mused, reaching up to take her face in his hands. “It isn’t?” She asked, surprise in her tone. If there was one thing she knew about Kalim, it was his absolute love for parties and over the top celebrations. To hear him say that the party wasn’t the biggest thing he was looking forward to definitely threw her for a loop. “It isn’t?” She asked, brows furrowing as she looked at him.
Kalim shook his head. “Not even! I mean sure I love parties and I can’t wait for our wedding party but the thing I’m looking forward to most is finally being married to you.” He told her, smiling at her brightly. Jamil felt her heart melt at the words. “Awww… Kalim, that’s so sappy!” She teased, pulling his hand up to kiss the heir’s knuckles. “So damn sappy.” Kalim laughed as he led her to where a large set up of various tears, coffees and sweets were spread out. The heir glanced at his parents and Jamil’s parents resided, talking amongst themselves. Before he turned to look back at his soon-to-be wife, his mother caught his eye and gave him a wink, smiling at the young man. Kalim grinned, giving her a small nod as he mouthed ‘ Thank you ’ to her. Naomi gave him a fond smile, mouthing ‘ You’re welcome ’ in return.
************************************************************
The next hour or so passed in a blur for both Jamil and Kalim. They listened to the sheikh as he went over the terms of their marriage. They signed the contract before the man performing their ceremony announced that it was time for the dowry to be given. Kalim froze, paling heavily. “I don’t-” He started, stopping when his father stood from his seat. “We have taken the liberty to take care of the dowry for your bride.” He informed Kalim, gesturing as a large elaborately decorated chest was brought over to Jamil’s mother and father. The Viper parents looked at their master in surprise. Kalim, realizing what was being done, turned to Jamil. “I do have one I can give you.” He told her, bringing both of her hands up to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to them. “Jamil, I know that you aren’t one for physical gifts even though you’re going to have to get used to it now that you’re my wife.” He said, playfully grinning at her as she rolled her eyes fondly at her now husband. “I’m setting the entire Viper family free of the contract that they’ve been assigned since our ancestors. If that chest contains what I’m pretty sure it contains then your family will be able to live comfortably for the rest of their lives.” He stated, gesturing to the chest.
Hanna smiled at his son and new daughter before motioning to Amir and his wife. “For the many years of service to the Asim family, we’re giving you this as Kalim’s dowry.” He said, opening the chest to reveal the entire box full of both gold and jewels of every kind. “You are more than welcome to stay in the palace if you would like or we can have a home designed for you.” He told the pair. Jamil watched in complete surprise as her parents hugged their former master. The woman leaned into Kalim, burying her face into his neck as tears filled her eyes. This was not something she had expected for their wedding at all. Kalim looked at her with gentleness in his gaze. “I do have a gift for you but I don’t have it on me right now.” He whispered, reaching up to rest a hand on the back of her head. He kissed her temple, humming softly. “You know we have a few moments before we have to be at the reception.” She whispered back, tugging his hand to guide him away from the chattering crowd.
The heir beamed as he followed his wife away from their guests. Neither of the two noticing as both of their parents watched the newly weds sneak away. Naomi and Dalia both giggled as their husbands gathered the attention of the rest of the guests. The two women turned their attention back to their husbands, helping the men bring the rest to the reception hall. It had only taken about twenty minutes to get everybody settled down in the reception hall before a disheveled Kalim came stumbling into the hall with his shirt halfway unbuttoned. He flashed them all a sheepish grin, waving at his guest, many who laughed. “Yeah, hi! Sorry for disappearing!” He said as he turned around to find Jamil walking to where he was standing, her arm draped with her father’s. “I suppose that was a pretty entertaining entrance.” She joked as her father let her go, kissing her cheek softly. Jamil gave Amir a smile as he made his way to his seat. “I thought you wanted to ride carpet into the reception?” She questioned him, hands resting on her hips. Kalim laughed, running a hand through his white hair. “I kinda forgot.” He admitted.
Jamil let out a laugh as she pulled him into a kiss. “Yeah, well we’re here now and we have alot of dancing to do.” She said as music began playing. Kalim beamed excitedly at the statement, watching as dancers began to perform. "Yeah but we have to change the rings." He commented, pressing his forehead to hers. The dark eyed beauty nodded, smiling at him. "We do." She agreed as they slid the rings from each other's right hands onto the other's left. The garnet eyed man grinned, leaning in to kiss his bride, fingers resting on the back of her neck. "Sevens, do I love you." He whispered against her lips. Jamil hummed softly in return. "I love you too." She lreplied just as quiet. He pulled back, wrapping an arm around her waist. "We should sit down now. I'm sure everyone is tired of waiting and super hungry." He chirped, leaning in to nuzzle at her neck lightly. The woman nodded at the suggestion. "You're right, we should. We both know how Najma can get when she's hungry." Jamil joked, grinning at the " Hey! " from a short distance from them. Kalim laughed as they took their own seat at the head table with their families. He watched his wife laugh as her younger sister gave her a playful shove. The white haired heir tossed his hands up. "Let's eat!" He cheered, taking Jamil by the hand.
************************************************************
As the day progressed into night, many of their family members left. By the end of the reception only a handful of their old classmates from Night Raven College remained. Many of which had taken turns to dance with Jamil and Kalim. Ace and Deuce (despite their own relationship together) had bickered for a full thirty minutes because they had decided they wanted to dance with the bride at the same time. Of course, neither had noticed as Trey slid in and taken her onto the dance floor. When they had finally noticed, both yelling out a ‘ Hey! ’ at the former Vice of Heartslabyul, they had given up for the time being. Only to be beaten once more by Riddle himself, then Cater, who had filmed the entire thing. Jamil herself had walked over to Deuce and pulled him out to the floor, sticking her tongue out at Ace when said red-haired man pouted. Deuce only laughed as he motioned for Ace to come along. The other had beamed at the invitation and ran to meet them. The trio danced around, laughing and having fun.
Kalim sat with Cater, Lilia, Silver and Malleus chatting with his old friends as they ate more cake, gaze occasionally flickering to his wife as she danced with their friends. Floyd was dancing with her now (more like spinning them in wild circles around the dance floor). The heir could hear her shrieking out ‘ STOP SPINNING US, FLOYD!!! ” as they passed by the table he sat at. The eel only laughed and continued to move around until Azul stepped in. In all honesty, Kalim was glad that the merman had stopped the other before something could happen. Vil had been the next to pull Jamil into a dance, chatting with her about the flowing gown that she wore. Turned out it had been something he had specifically designed for her. It didn’t take long before she had finally taken a seat again beside Kalim, leaning into his space as she down a glass of water. He smiled at her, reaching over to take her hand. “Having fun I see.” He said playfully. Jamil snorted, smiling as she shrugged. “It’s been draining for sure.” She mused, leaning her chin in her hand. Cater leaned forward, grinning widely. “So when are ya gonna start trying for your own heirs, Kalim?” He asked, teasingly. Kalim felt the heat rise in his cheeks. The heir sputtered before Jamil’s lips curved into a mischievous grin.
“He’s going to have to wait before he can try for more little Asims.” She replied, eyes flickering to Kalim’s as she waited for it to click. The other’s sitting around with them looked at her in surprise. Cater beamed. “You mean-” Jamil nodded as it suddenly seemed to click for the Asim’s eldest son. He turned to stare at her. “You’re-” Jamil laughed as she nodded, leaning back to watch her husband’s reaction. “Yes, Kalim! You’re going to be a daddy to two little babies!” She told him. Kalim’s eyes grew wide. “ TWO?! ” Jamil let out a shriek as Kalim scooped her up and spun around. He set her on her feet and pressed a kiss to her lips repeatedly. “I’m gonna be a daddy.” He whispered, foreheads pressed together. Jamil grinned. “Yeah.” Kalim stood up straight suddenly. “Is that why my elders were demanding a marriage now?” He asked, looking at her. She smiled faintly. “Yes. They wanted the baby born into a marriage so that they’d take your name automatically. If we waited until after, I could use Viper but they couldn’t have that happen to future heirs of the Asim family.” She explained, looking down between them at her belly.
Kalim dropped to his knees in front of her, leaning forward to press a kiss to her stomach. “I can’t wait to meet them.” He whispered, looking up at her with a proud smile. Jamil smiled back at him, hand cradling his face gently. “You’re going to be an amazing father, Kalim. I love you so much.” She told him softly. Kalim wrapped his arms around her waist, eyes locked with hers. “I love you too, Jamil.”
