Chapter Text
Chiyo had reached the limit, after highschool was over. It had been one matter to love him when he was so involved in her time and inspiration, it had been easy when she'd grown out of her constant nerves every time he walked into her line of sight, but enough was enough. She'd gotten a scholarship to pursue her art in France and she would take it without so much as a look behind because this tall man would NOT stay her problem. He really never should have been in the first place. And as much as she might hope there was very little chance of him realizing to what extent he had monopolized her time the moment she'd first set foot in his apartment. Yes, he said he'd taken note of her, but it was because of her art capabilities and not herself as a person. Which to present time still stung. It was painful to know just how much she had loved him, to look at old journal entries and paintings and to know he was her muse from the get go, only to be smacked in the head with reality every time they went out to gather references for his Manga.
She could have withstood his friendship, had he not treated her more like a commodity. And it was from this perspective that she began to shed off all the sentimental and cozy daydreams that had been her constant companion since she'd first seen him.
Nozaki could not love her.
