Sabé was her decoy. Her protector. Her loyal bodyguard. But, above all, she was her friend, her best friend.
Padmé's more than aware that Sabé would give her own life to save her Queen if necessary, because of that she always felt like she never thanked the other enough. Whenever they switched places and the handmaiden disguised as the Queen, Padmé would give Sabé the tightest hug, order her to be really careful and say she knew she will never be able to reward for the service that her so loyal bodyguard devotedly performed.
There were days in which Queen Amidala spent only hugging the handmaiden and doing anything she asked. She became the servant and Sabé became her Queen. Padmé give her presents and millions of kisses all that just to see her happy. She knew it wasn't right of her to act like that, but the Queen of Naboo also knew this was the least she could do for the one that gave her days to her.
"I'm so sorry, I feel like I should've done so much more today. You deserve way better than this!"
"Padmé, my dear. I already told you, you don't need to worry about if I'm content with my life here, because I am. The work may be hard sometimes, I admit that, but the reward of seeing you happy and safe it's worth anything. You always think you're not thanking me enough, but the best gift you ever gave me is you."
"Damn, how much I love you!"
"I love you too, my Queen."
