Izuku wasn’t happy.
He had been called into the principals office in the middle of home room for a reason he didn’t know why. Izuku made a list of things that he could have done wrong:
-Was he slacking off?
-Was his teachers going to find out he was purposefully lying on his tests to get lower grades?
-Did they find out about his creepy analysis and were about to tell him to stop?
-What about the hacking?
“Snap out of it Izuku! You’re going to be fine.”, one of his friends had told him.
“I know, Camie..”, Izuku stuttered.
“Do you?”
“Yes”
“Your spiralling, right”
“Yes”
“Izuku, you need to go”, Camie’s teacher, Miss Joke, said to him.
“Yes Joke- sensei!”, Izuku piped up as he grabbed his things and headed off.
Yes, Miss Joke wasn’t his teacher. He was in general studies and was hanging out in the hero class but Miss Joke was kind and welcoming.
Unusual? Definitely.
Izuku had knocked on the principals door and walked inside, “You wanted to see me…”, Izuku trailed off as he saw the person that was in the office along with the principal.
It was… another principle. Although, this one was NEDZU. The principal of UA! What was he doing here?
Izuku’s principles got up, bowed, and left. He went behind Izuku and closed the door gently.
“Ah! You must be Midoriya Izuku, am I correct?”, Nedzu chirped up.
“Y- your Nedzu! The principal of UA!”, Izuku blurted out.
“Well, I am a principal but the question is. Am I a rat? A bear? Or a dog?”, the principal asked izuku as his eyes shon with sudden curiosity. What was he?
Izukus first thought was a rat, he has most of the characteristics of one. Izuku paused as he looked at Nedzu’s paws.
“Umm, before I answer that.. can I see your paws for a second?”, Izuku asked hesitantly.
Nedzu’s eyes sparkled at the question and nodded, extending his paw.
Izuku looked down and took a few seconds to register what he saw. The paw has 4 fingers. Rats didn’t? If they did, they didn’t look near to Nedzu’s. The bone structure was different, slightly twisted to a different direction.
“Oh…”, Izukus started with his eyes widening slightly, ”Your neither a bear, nor dog. You’re not even a rat!”
Now it was Nedzu’s turn for his eyes to wised slightly with glee, “Your think so?”
“Yes, I believe your a chimera..”, Izuku finally gave the answer.
“Well, may I ask your reasoning for this?”, Nedzu pondered.
“W- well.”, Izuku stammered as he began to explain, “You have 4 fingers, can you call them that? I am not sure but you have 4 off them. A normal rat doesn’t. If they do, theirs are not twisted at the angle yours are.”
Silence.
That is what Izuku was given.
Until it broke.
There was then the sound of soft material clapping together.
Nedzu was clapping. All in all, a very strange sight.
“Well, I have never heard that response before!”, Nedzu grined and jumped onto the chair he was sitting on, ”I am here to speak to you, Midoriya- kun! I think we may have an opportunity for you.”
Izuku gulped, he didn’t like the sound of that. What is the principal found out he had hacked the UA system? He has seen the security footage and Nedzu could be absolutely terrifying.
“Well Midoriya- kun, i see that you spend a lot of time with the hero course, even though you are a general studies student. I wanted to ask you about those note books that Miss Joke constantly talks about!”
Well, that was not what Izuku was expecting. He hesitated and slowly took out is current notebook, No. 73. After he gave up on becoming a hero, he had a lot more free time and even improved them significantly!
Nedzu eyes gleamed with a sudden curiosity and held out his paw for the notebook. Izuku placed it into the principals paws.
Nedzu opened it and flicked through the first 20 pages as he seemed to be reading it, eyes gleaming all the while. After about a minute, he started flicking the pages with more enthusiasm and speed. Was he even reading it as this point?
Nedzu smiled the book shun and smiled at Izuku, “Just as expected, you’re a genius for your age. Your leval of intellect is outstanding!”
Izuku gave a small gasp. He was a what!
“Umm, I believe you may be mistaken. I am just a kid, I can’t be a genius!”, Izuku stated, trying to get us point across.
“Well, your notebooks have professional analysis that u have seen from few people. Verry few. I could count them on my paw.”, Nedzu help up his paw to both silent Izuku and to show him his paw again.
“Umm, well…”, Izuku started to say, “Thanks for the compliment?”
God, he was so bad at talking.
Nedzu smiled as he said,”It is nothing, Midoriya- Kun! But, I do want to give you that offer!”
“.. What exactly is that offer?”, Izuku asked.
“Well, as you may know, the mid- year exams are coming around for everyone. The hero course at UA is organising a special event for our test!”, Nedzu started.
“Oh, that’s nice..”, Izuku spoke with an unknown tone in his voice. Why was the principal telling him this?
“Well, we are having a huge Hero’s vs villains exercise! We have chosen the leader for the hero team but we are having difficulty finding a Villain leader.”
Well, that’s kinda expected if everyone is training to be heroes. No- one will show villain traits unless it is part of their quirk.
Izuku was painfully reminded of Kacchan’s explosive personality that mirrored his quirk.
“Well, you are correct on that!”, Nedzu chirped up.
“Ahh! Was I muttering again? I am so sorry!!”, Izuku stammered.
“There is no need to apologise Midoriya- Kun! But, back to our conversation.”, Nedzu started again. “We need a Villain leader. I want to ask one question”
Izuku’s eyes widened as he heard the question.
“Do you want to come to UA and be the Villain leader?”
Oh boy, that was a question he was not prepared for.
“W- why me? I am in general studies at a completely different school! I don’t even have any experience or anything!”, Izuku asked in disbelief.
“Now, I belong you do have experience.”
What. He didn’t? Or at least did not have any hero experience.
“Well, your knuckles are bruised and your back is slightly arched! You have don’t at least 2 different types of martial arts.”
And of course Nedzu could see that he did training.
“I have done 3..”, Izuku confirmed, “Karate, Judo and jujutsu. I did the first one when I still wanted to be a hero and the other two I did just in case I needed to protect myself.”
“So, you are not ably good at Hacking and analysis but you are also a skilled fighter!”
Wait.. NEDZU KNEW ABOUT THE HACKING!
“OMG I AM SO SORRY I THOUGHT NO ONE KNEW! I AM SO SORRY I PROMISE I DIDN’T KNOW I WOULD EVEN… IT WAS JUST TO TEST OUT SOMETHING AND I-“, Izuku was apologising frantically, tears pricking the corners of his eyes.
He had come so far.
He had been been through shit.
He had trudged through thick and thin.
Before Izuku had time to carry on, he was cut of.
“I am not mad, quite the opposite actually! I have never come across anyone that has hacked into the security system before.”, Nedzu said with a kind smile.
“You’re not mad?”, Izuku said with a whisper.
“No, this is just another reason I want you to attend UA and mentor you.”, Nedzu replied with a twinkle in his eyes.
“Wait.. You want to mentor me!”
Izuku didn’t think he could get even more shocked than this.
“I do! Your intellect could be close to mine, I don’t want this talant to go to wast. So, will you take the offer?”
Izuku thought for a long second bed he said anything. When he did, his response was plain and simple but made Nedzu smirk.
“I will be the villain leader, but I have a few questions before I take my leave”
Nedzu grinned evilly as he asked, “What would you like to know?”
IzukI smirked.
“I want to know everything”
