Bucky has gotten beefy. At least that's what the kid, Peter, said. Bucky doesn't know how he feels about this. He's been eating well, exercising. It's the serum, maybe, though he is bigger than he has ever been. It's odd.
Bucky asks Steve about it. He needs to know his thoughts.
Steve looks at him and swallows. Weird.
"You do look beefy," Steve says after a few moments. "It's, uh, you look good. Very attractive."
Bucky smiles. He likes hearing that. A lot.
"You think so?" he asks, just to be sure.
"Yeah I do, Buck," Steve says.
That feels good. Very good. Kudos to Bucky, he thinks. He is beefy, he's attractive. Good, good, good.
"You are attractive, too," Bucky tells Steve seriously. "I am sure you have many admirers who tell you so, but I thought you needed to hear it from me."
"Thanks, Buck," Steve says. He's blushing. Cute.
"We make a handsome pair," Bucky continues.
Steve smiles, a little. "We do."
"I think we should kiss," Bucky says.
Steve's smile fades. "Are you sure, Buck? You don't have to. You've never indicated you want this, before," he says.
"I'm sure," Bucky says. "If you want to. I don't know about before but I know what I want now. I have autonomy. It's very important. I can make my own choices, I know."
"Then I want to kiss you, too," Steve says. He's smiling again, thank goodness.
Bucky takes a step closer to Steve and kisses him. It's a very good first kiss, Bucky thinks. Though clearly they must kiss again, just be sure. One cannot be diligent enough when it comes to these matters.
It's all good. Bucky is beefy and attractive and he gets to kiss Steve. He cannot ask for more. This is enough.
