Summary
Zoro watches as Nami and Chopper run towards them, happy they’ve finally arrived and trying to dodge minks determined to hug them from all angles. He is the first to notice something isn’t right.
As soon as Luffy mentions Sanji, Brook, and Momo probably being fine as well since Nami and Chopper are, Nami’s face goes dark and guilty and she buries herself in Luffy’s shoulder, not making eye contact. When she does look up, her eyes immediately find Zoro’s.
“I’m so sorry…”
She starts, tears in her eyes. Fuck.
“Sanji is… he’s… he’s gone.”
(Once again this is part of a series, and you won’t be too lost if you don’t read the first two parts, but I would still recommend it.)
