"Oi nerd, where are you?" Katsuki was starting to lose his patience. He had to finish that stupid project with Izuku, but he was late, and wasn't seeing any of Katsuki's messages.
It wasn't like Izuku to ignore him or forget an appointment. The nerd considered school over anything else, and for that reason, Katsuki was starting to worry.
Right before he sent another message, a reply from Izuku arrived.
"I'm sorry Kacchan. I'm not coming"
Katsuki looked at the message, confused.
"What the hell, why?" He texted immediately. "We have to finish the project for tomorrow."
Izuku's reply arrived a couple of minutes later. "I know, I'm not feeling well"
"Professor Aizawa will be mad if we don't finish it," They both knew it. "and I have no idea how to do your part." Izuku was better at collecting informations and synthetize them clearly.
"I'm sorry Kacchan"
Something was off. Katsuki got it, Izuku wasn't feeling okay, but all that was too sudden and too weird.
Katsuki then stood up, leaving all of his notes and materials on the common room's table, and went towards Izuku's room.
He didn't bother to knock, he just opened the door and went in.
"Nerd, what do you need?" Katsuki stopped at the entrance of Izuku's room, seeing the other lying on his bed, shaking slightly, a hand covering his eyes, and his phone abandoned on his chest.
"Oi nerd?" When Izuku heard him and saw Katsuki was there, he instantly tensed, and sat up, unable to hide a discomforted sound.
"I'm sorry Kacchan," He said, softly.
"You already said that." Katsuki didn't knew what to do. "What's happening?"
Izuku shook his head, and Katsuki could clearly see a tremor run up his spine. "I don't know," He said, and it seemed to Katsuki that he wasn't feeling comfortable even talking. "I feel kinda tired since when I woke up this morning."
Katsuki approached him, hesitating before putting a hand on his forhead.
He wasn't hot, but Katsuki saw him closing his eyes and leaning a bit on his touch.
"Why didn't you tell me anything when we saw in class? Maybe we could go speak with professor Aizawa together."
Izuku opened his eyes again, but looked down. "I know, I'm sorry."
"Stop saying that, idiot." Katsuki stood there for a moment, still not knowing what to do.
"Let's think first to make you feel better." Katsuki looked at Izuku's body and how much it was tensed. "Why are you so tense anyway?"
Izuku shook his head again, with another tremor.
"Well, try to calm down and lie down again, come on."
Izuku hesitated, bringing a hand up to his face and stroking it for a bit. Then he lied down again, and Katsuki sat on his bed.
"Are you feeling sick in any way?" He tried to ask, but Izuku whispered a no.
"Good, maybe if you are feeling better later we'll think about the project then, no need to worry about it now." Katsuki saw from Izuku's face that he *was* worrying about it, but he decided to ignore that.
"Are you feeling anxious because of something?"
Izuku didn't answer. "Are you, Izuku?" Izuku closed in himself.
"Can you," Izuku started talking hard, closing his eyes and barely whispering. "hold me for a minute?"
Katsuki did that without hesitation. He had already hugged Izuku in the past, and he had held him after several fights, he held him tight even after he came back from his loner hero period before they defeated All for one. It wasn't different from those times, it was only more *intimate*.
Katsuki laid down near Izuku, and put an arm around his waist.
Izuku let out a sigh, but didn't move for a bit, breathing slowly and progressively calming down.
Suddenly, Izuku moved to get closer to him, and when Katsuki moved too, surprised, his hand landed on Izuku's exposed belly. Izuku seemed to appreciate that touch, so Katsuki stated to stroking slowly that spot, and found himself smiling as his touch alone was helping him like that.
"Thanks Kacchan." Izuku whispered at some point, getting close enough to rest his head on Katsuki's chest.
Katsuki didn't move for some seconds, caught off guard, but then he checked again Izuku's forehead, before bringing back his arm around his waist. "Try to rest now, don't worry about anything else."
They should have talked later, about what happened, about their feelings, and about what caused Izuku to lie there alone and trembling at first, but in that moment, they simply stood there, silent, in that comforting hug.
