Chapter Text
"My lord Rex Lapis-"
"Ahem."
"... Father," Ganyu's cheeks reddened. It started as a slip of tongue, so why does he insist on her calling him Father? It's inappropiate!
"Is something wrong with the Qixing?" Morax asks, clearly worried that his not-daughter visits him in his abode out of the blue.
"Oh no, everything is fine," she answers. "I come here bearing congratulations." Ganyu shifts as Morax serves her a tea.
"Congratulations? For what?"
"I heard you and Lord Barbatos has gotten married."
A pause.
"... who told you that?"
"The ground and wind sing of your union, Father. Moon Carver also confirms the news with Lord Andrius."
"Does he heard it from the Anemo Archon himself?"
"Ah ... I don't think so. He seemed irritated when we mentioned that. Saying that after years of silent a wind is how he heard of this development."
Morax gently sips his tea. "I believe this is a misunderstanding. Barbatos and I are not married."
Ganyu's eyes widen. "Ah! Forgive our impertinence, my lor- ah, f-father!"
"No need to fret. It is easy to misunderstand. We did, in fact, made a contract to last a lifetime."
Morax watches as Ganyu's head tilts in confusion. "Forgive me, Father, but isn't that what being married is ...?"
Now, Ganyu is the one watching Morax's gear in his head turning.
