Work Text:
Akito trudged down the street, exhaustion taking over him each step he took. School had been shit, and his detention had kept him later than he had expected. All he wanted to do was fall on his bed and sleep until the next day. Although, the maniac amount of homework and studying he had pushed off until today couldn’t wait, so that dream was shattered.
Akito almost jumped when he heard his phone buzz. He dug it out of his pocket and stared at the screen, feeling a slight smile creep up his lips at the sender.
Toya: Hey, Akito. I’m over at your house again. Library committee let us out early and I know you’ll be wanting some help with your homework. Love you.
The texts Toya sent were always so organized; you got his point from just one look at the message. Akito, however, could barely spell and punctuation was not his strong suit.
"Oh, right." He mumbled as he typed a response to Toya and continued his journey home.
Akito: oka y souunds grewat, loeve ouy too
He growled at his screen and tried the last few words again.
love you too

"Toyaaaaa! Where are you?" Akito called out dramatically upon entering his house. He threw his coat and bag down on the couch, sighing. He didn’t hear a reply, so he headed over to the kitchen to make some food. A few moments passed before he felt a presence behind him.
"Welcome home, Akito." Toya said, wrapping his arms around Akito’s waist. Toya planted a few soft kisses up his neck. Akito lifted his arm and rustled Toya’s messy hair from behind him, enjoying the warmth of his embrace.
"There you are." Akito whispered, turning around to fold his arms around Toya’s neck. He leaned against the counter behind him so he wouldn’t fall.
"I seriously don’t understand how you like school." Akito said, giving Toya a soft kiss on the forehead. Toya hummed in response, satisfied.
"Well, for starters, it’s another chance to see you." He said, placing his hand upon Akito's cheek. Toya looked into Akito’s eyes, never wanting to leave that green warmth. Toya smiled at him, his face practically glowing. Akito couldn’t help but return his smile, the freckles that were planted across his cheeks lighting up.
"I guess that’s true, but still, I could never accept the stupid amount of homework we get." Akito said, rolling his eyes.
"Say, on the topic of homework, how much do you have?" Toya asked. Akito diverted his gaze and cleared his throat.
"Uh, Ena will be home in a little bit. She’ll probably try and get something for herself, so do you want anything?" Akito said, attempting to avoid the question.
"You’re trying to get out of it." Toya said, showing him a stern face. Akito laughed nervously, waving his hand in dismissal.
"No, of course not. Whatever do you mean?"
"I know you probably have a lot of homework and an endless amount of studying to do."
"But..I don’t wanna do that now.."
Toya laughed, a sound Akito would never get tired of hearing.
"Okay, I have a deal." Toya said, loosening his grip on Akito’s waist the slightest bit.
"Let’s hear it, then." Akito replied, tanging his fingers in the ends of Toya’s hair.
"We do your homework now," He paused as Akito groaned. "But, every question you get right, I give you a reward."
"Hm? I’m interested. What’s this reward you speak of?" Akito asked, smirking slightly.
"Kisses."
Toya knew he was a sucker for his kisses, so this proposal was bound to work.
"Deal." He said, pulling away from the tangle of arms around him. Maybe homework wouldn’t be so bad now.

Boy, how he was wrong. Even with the promise of kisses, homework was still just as shitty as it had ever been. He hadn’t even gotten through one question before he slammed his head on the desk, grumbling loudly.
"Akito, it’s just one question. You can do it." Toya encouraged him, but that only made Akito bury his face deeper in the desk. Toya sighed.
"Have you forgotten our deal?"
Akito’s head perked up as he heard those words being said. He slowly picked up his pencil and started examining the equation one more time. Slowly but surely, he had completed the first five questions on the sheet. Then the whole page. Then the next two pages. Each question became easier as the promise of Toya’s lips became closer and closer.
"Finally, I fuckin’ did it! An said that I’d be stuck on these for days, but lookit that!" Akito exclaimed, launching his fist in the air.
"Mmm. Seems that you got all but one right." Toya said once Akito had handed him his papers to check.
"Aw, man! Really?" Akito sighed, taking the papers back and flipping to the incorrect problem.
"Just finish this one, then I’ll give you your reward."
"Fiiiiine." Akito groaned as he began writing again. He quickly found his error and let Toya check it once more. Toya nodded happily when he gave the paper back.
"Alright, I believe I owe you some kisses now." Toya said. At those words, Akito’s face lit up brighter than the sun. Toya then stood up, but leaned down to wrap his arms around Akito’s waist.
"What are you-" Akito started, but cut himself off when he realized what Toya was doing.
"Up we go!" Toya said as he lifted Akito into the air easily.
"Toya! Put me down!" Akito shouted, but he couldn’t keep a wide smile from painting his face.
"I won’t drop you, don’t worry." Toya reassured him.
"Yeah, right." Akito replied, chuckling. Toya pressed a chaste kiss to his lips as he started to walk forward. Akito tightened his grip on his shoulders as he walked.
"Toya, don’t you dare-" He warned as Toya started to lean him backwards.
"Don’t worry, the couch is below you. You’ll be fine." Toya replied, lowering him further. Akito braced himself for impact, but was met with the familiar feeling of his couch.
"Oh, thank God." He muttered as soon as Toya let him go.
"You really thought I’d drop you, huh?" Toya said, plopping down next to him on the sofa. "You know I’d never do that."
"Well, it’s hard not to be scared when you-" Akito was cut off by Toya’s lips on his. He sighed happily into the kiss, satisfied. They broke apart for a second to catch their breaths. Akito tangled his hands in Toya’s hair, drawing him closer.
"Toya! That tickles!" Akito protested, laughing, as Toya suddenly started planting kisses all over his face in a flurry of love. Toya’s lips landed almost everywhere, from his cheeks to his nose to his ears. Akito reached up to place his hands over his lips, holding him back from another kiss.
"What? I thought you liked my kisses?" Toya mumbled through his hands, chuckling. Akito rolled his eyes.
"I do, but I don’t appreciate being attacked with them." He replied, taking his hands off his lips to poke his forehead. Toya took that as an opportunity to plant another kiss on his cheek.
"I love you." Toya mumbled, leaning down to gently kiss Akito’s jaw. Akito felt the tips of his ears go pink as Toya left another trail of kisses down to his neck. Akito loved the feeling of Toya’s soft lips on his skin, and he savored every bit of the moment.
"I love you more." Akito said. "Look up."
Toya looked up, confused. Akito placed his hands on Toya’s cheeks, looking into his eyes with the most lovesick expression. He brought his face closer to his and pressed featherlight kisses to his forhead, then to his nose, then to the mole under his right eye.
Toya giggled softly, leaning back a bit to press Akito’s chest forwards to let him lay down on the cushions. He caught their lips again, both boys emitting small sighs into the kiss. Akito grabbed fistfuls of Toya’s shirt in an effort to pull him even closer somehow, and Toya rested his arm beside Akito’s to steady himself.
"Hey, shithead, I’m ho-" Akito heard a familiar voice behind him start. He shoved Toya off of him as gently as he could and sat up.
"Ena- It’s not what you-" He stammered, but ultimately failed to bring words out.
"Ugh, God. You two are sick." Ena said.
"Don’t pretend like I haven’t caught you and that Mizuki Akiyama doing the same thing." Akito retorted, crossing his arms. He watched Ena’s face go red, not unlike a tomato.
"Well- That’s- Shut up!" Ena shouted, stomping to the stairs and up to her room.
"Tell Akiyama I said hi, wouldn’t you?" Akito yelled after her, only to hear a door slamming as a response.
"God, she’s so annoying." He muttered under his breath. "Sorry, Toya. That was probably really embarrassing."
"It’s okay. Your little argument was quite amusing, actually." Toya replied. An awkward silence then filled the room.
"So, I should probably get going, huh?"
"Actually, would you mind staying the night?"
Toya smiled warmly.
"Of course."
