Work Text:

Oboro is at Shōta's grave for the first time in years since he hasn't had the heart to come and visit his best friend. It's the fifteen year anniversary of his friend's death and it's very obvious that no one has been by the grave as it's overrun with weeds and ivy. He wipes tears off of his face as he cleans it up and then picks the headstone up and puts it back into place mentally telling himself that he needs to get supplies to clean and repair it. "I'm sorry that I haven't visited you in a while, Shō. I.. I still haven't accepted that you're gone, part of me keeps wondering when this nightmare will end and I'll wake up and you'll be just fine. The other part of me knows that this isn't a dream and it's just something that I need to learn to accept but.. but I can't. My life isn't the same without you in it."

He sits down as he makes a cloud in hopes that the water within it will help wash off some of the dirt on the headstone. "Me and Zashi are starting to get on better terms. I put most of the blame on him as it was that loud ass quirk of his that caused the villain to crash into the building. I blame myself too as I wasn't fast enough to get my cloud over to you to scoop you up and fly you out of danger. Maybe.. maybe this school year will be better. Maybe I'll have a student like you and I can make him my mentee. That way it's like I have a little piece of you back. I'll come back and visit you soon, Shō. I love you." He produces a new cloud and quickly leaves while wiping tears off of his face; never noticing the shadowy figure hiding within the shade of an overgrown tree.

It's now the day before the Entrance Exam and Nezu has just introduced All Might as the new first year Heroics teacher. "Absolutely not! His presence here will just bring villains to the school! It's going to put our students at risk!" Oboro protests against the idea.

"I'm sorry, Oboro-kun, but the decision was not my own but the Commission and School Board's idea," Nezu explains.

"So?! They should be looking at the cons of this! The cons outweigh the pros!" Oboro continues to protest.

"Shirakumo, it'll be alright, there's no need to get upset about this," Hizashi attempts to soothe him but Oboro smacks him away.

"Don't freaking touch me, Yamada! This isn't safe, Nezu-san!" Oboro shouts in desperation as it's not a good idea at all.

"The decision is final, Oboro-kun. There is nothing we can do, I'm sorry," Nezu says as he turns on his heel and leaves.

The day of the Entrance Exam arrives and Oboro is still fuming about All Might joining the staff. He doesn't see the reason why the man needs to be at UA other than for publicity. He sits there watching in the observation room as the practical portion of the exam is taking place and a green haired boy catches his attention as he has yet to see the boy using a quirk nor has the boy attacked any of the bots, he's been pulling the other examinees out of danger the entire time.

"Who's the green haired boy?" Oboro asks Nezu.

The chimera types away on his tablet for a moment before pulling up his file and handing it over to him, "Izuku Midoriya. The boy is quite skilled and highly intelligent. He got all of the questions correct on his written exam and even did the two bonus questions of doing an analysis on his favorite hero and what he thinks of hero society. Both of them were quite lengthy and thorough as well as having factual points within it."

Oboro reads over the file and his head snaps over to Nezu when he sees the boy's quirk status, "He's quirkless but he's taking the Hero Course Entrance Exam? How?"

"Yes. When his application first came across my desk, I invited him here and had a little meeting with him. A boy like him would be a perfect fit if he ends up passing the practical portion and he almost has enough to get in solely on rescue points," Nezu answers with a soft smile as he knows that Oboro has been looking for a mentee similar to his lost friend. "He's very analytical as well, picks up on fighting moves quickly and uses them for himself or improves them. I even had him face off against Mirio-kun and he picked up quickly on Mirio-kun's movements while he was beneath the surface and when he resurfaced, Midoriya-kun attacked him before he could be attacked. It was quite a thrilling spar to watch. He reminds me of Shōta-kun."

Oboro's lip wobbles as he nods his head, he's going to want this boy in his class, "I want him in my class. Please."

"That's where I was going to place him anyway, Oboro-kun," Nezu says with a small smirk, he may or may not have told Izuku about the secret rescue points after his meeting with him as he wants the green haired boy in the Hero Course.

"The quirkless are nothing but liabilities. If he's so much like Young Eraserhead, then he's just going to end up like him. Dead," All Might states and Oboro doesn't hesitate to punch the hero across the face.

"You shut your dirty little mouth, you bastard. You're not going to talk bad about my friend. You weren't there that day, the building falling on him due to a villain crashing into it has nothing to do with what his quirk status is. If it were, say me or Mic for example, would you still say that?" Oboro asks angrily as All Might glares at him.

"No because you two have powerful quirks. Eraserhead's quirk was erasing another's quirk, that's all it did," All Might answers and Oboro goes to punch him again but Vlad grabs his wrist.

"It's not worth catching a charge over. Let him be an ass," Vlad says calmly in hopes that it'll calm the cloud user down.

"No, he needs to get that idea out of his giant ass head because then he's going to say shit to that boy once he gets in," Oboro snaps as he snatches his arm away from the man.

"If he hurts the kid's feelings or whatever, then you can beat the shit out of him. The kid might be a sassy shit like Aizawa was so he may be able to defend himself, we'll just have to wait and see once he's in class," Vlad states.

Oboro huffs and leaves the observation room to go and wait by Izuku's testing gate. He sits up on his cloud and watches as the examinees all start to leave after the exam. He spots Izuku who has a proud smirk on his face and he definitely doesn't blame him, he'd be feeling pretty damn proud of himself as well. He makes a second cloud and sends it to scoop up the boy who yelps in surprise and he can't help but to laugh at the reaction especially once he's face level with him and an excited look forms on his face.

"Oh my gosh! Pro-Hero Loud Cloud! I'm a huge fan!" Izuku gushes and Oboro giggles softly.

"And I'm a huge fan of yours," Oboro says and Izuku gets a look of confusion as he gestures to himself. "Yes you, I'm not talking to anyone else. You impressed me a great deal during your practical exam and Nezu even told me about the little meeting that you had with him and how you kicked Mirio's ass."

An embarrassed blush forms on Izuku's face, "O-oh my gosh, th-that's em-embarrassing."

"What? How's that embarrassing? I think it's bad ass!" Oboro compliments and Izuku's blush deepens as he hides his face and it's clear to Oboro that Izuku doesn't get praised at all or it's a very little amount. "The reason I scooped you up here is because I wanna ask you if you'd like to become my mentee, my personal student. You.. you remind me of an old friend that I lost fifteen years ago and well.. I'd like to teach you how to use his capture weapon and my bo staff. A little mix of two old friends.. if that's alright with you that is."

Izuku nods his head quickly, "Yes of course! That sounds amazing! I'd love to be mentored by you!"

A fond smile forms on Oboro's face, "Would you like to come and visit him with me? I still need to clean his headstone and repair it. I visited him a couple of days ago and cleaned it up the best I could as I couldn't bring myself to visit him after everything that happened."

"Yeah, I'm real handy, I bet I could help you repair it just as long as you have the materials for it," Izuku says in agreement.

"Let's collect your belongings and then we'll go," Oboro says as he and the second cloud move over to where all the lockers are so Izuku could grab his bag.

They share a cloud on the way over to the cemetery. Oboro collects a couple of buckets of water along the way and when they arrive, they get to work on cleaning the headstone and mixing the cement.

"He was only sixteen?" Izuku asks sadly.

"Yeah. He was a massive introvert but he had his moments of where he'd be goofy like randomly tap dancing or giving a bright smile. I lived for those moments and I definitely miss them," Oboro answers with a soft smile. He's trying not to break down in front of the boy but he feels like it's going to be inevitable.

"What happened? If you don't mind me asking?" Izuku asks him and Oboro sighs heavily.

"There was a huge ass villain on the attack and we had just gotten everyone out of a building when Present Mic had used his quirk on the villain. Well, it caused the villain to fumble and he crashed into the building and Shōta wasn't fast enough to get out of the way and I wasn't fast enough to get my cloud over to him so he was crushed. Pretty sure the last thing both of us saw was our shared looks of horror and terror," Oboro tells the tale as he has turned himself away from Izuku so the boy doesn't see him crying.

"You watched him?.." Izuku goes to ask and Oboro cuts him off before he finishes the question.

"Yes, I did watch him die. I keep hoping that this is just one long ass nightmare and that I'll wake up and he'll be fine and dandy but I know that I'm not dreaming. I just.. I'm just still in denial after fifteen years as pathetic as that sounds," Oboro says softly as he goes back to mixing the cement.

"I don't think it's pathetic. Everyone grieves differently and there's nothing wrong with that. Some people move on and some people don't. Just because this is how you feel about it doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with it. You may just need more time or you just need a new friend to help you through it," Izuku says as he also goes back to scrubbing the headstone. "What was his hero name?"

"His hero name was Eraserhead and his quirk was called Erasure. His quirk only worked on emitter and transformation types but it erased his opponent's quirk just as long as he kept his eyes open," Oboro explains and smiles a bit as the boy lights up.

"That means he was kinda like me! He fought quirkless and made his opponents temporarily quirkless as well! That's amazing!" Izuku says in excitement.

"Yeah and like I said earlier, you remind me of him except the personality. Everything else is very much him," Oboro says. "Long black hair, dark eyes except when his quirk was active then they were red and it made his hair levitate so I feel like he had some kind of latent telekinesis or magnetic field type quirk along with it. I feel like you're going to be a bad ass little hero. The capture weapon only needs to have your DNA woven into it and then you just need to get it to listen to you. But going off of what Nezu told me, I feel like you'll learn it lickety-split!"

The next day, Oboro has Izuku meet him at UA's gates so they can use one of the gyms and the pair get to work. It is February and school starts in April so they have some time to work on the basics of the weapons and fighting skills. When Mirio found out that Izuku was mentoring under Loud Cloud, he joined in as a sparring partner for Izuku and Oboro got to see first hand what Nezu was talking about. He knew that if Shōta were here, he'd get to see this as well, especially as Izuku expertly hangs upside down with the capture weapon and is able to keep up with him through Ground Beta with it. The boy had only gotten tangled up a few times before he started getting the hang of it and then it was just up-hill from there. Izuku also learned the bo staff quickly, his being collapsible as to not get in the way of his capture weapon. Oboro had sobbed like a baby when Izuku showed him his hero costume design, it looked a lot like Shōta's but was more form fitting than anything and when Izuku showed him his future hero name, he cried even harder; Silent Cloud.

The first day of school was on them quickly and Oboro had gone through his student files and saw that Shōta's nephew is going to be in his class and when he looked at the boy's costume, he was very sad to see that he wasn't going to be using the capture weapon but maybe he can convince him. He has a feeling that Hitoshi doesn't even know about his uncle as Shōta didn't have the best relationship with his family. He'll just have to tell the boy about his uncle himself. What got him is that the boy got in on recommendations as his father had recommended him. He sighed heavily as he hoped that Hitoshi doesn't think he's better than those who didn't get in like that.

He sits on a cloud outside his classroom window as he wants to hear how his new class is going to interact with one another. He noticed that a boy from Izuku's old school was there early and was in the process of being scolded by the youngest Iida. More students started filing in and he could see Hitoshi sitting there looking like a purple version of Shōta except a lot more tired and definitely depressed given the fact that he's not smiling at any of his classmates as they all introduce themselves to each other.

He watches Izuku enter the classroom and yelps as Bakugou hops to on his feet, palms crackling and now the class is dead silent. "The fuck are you doing here you quirkless deku?!"

"Um, coming to class? What does it look like I'm doing, Kacchan?" Izuku answers.

"No! You belong in Gen Ed with the rest of the damn extras! A quirkless freak like you shouldn't be in the Hero Course!" Bakugou shouts at him.

"But I scored third during the practical so yes, I do belong here," Izuku states firmly.

"You cheated!" Bakugou roars.

"Me cheat? Do you really think I'm smart enough to outsmart the Nezu?" Izuku questions and then Mirio appears behind Izuku, causing the boy to jump and squeak in surprise.

"Ah! I finally startled you, Midoriya-kun! Are you going to stay on campus after school lets out today?!" Mirio asks him in excitement. "I need a sparring partner and Tamaki has things to do today so Imma be by my lonesome!"

"Sure, Togata-Senpai, I don't mind since I have some training scheduled today with Sensei," Izuku answers with a soft smile.

"Great! I'll meet you at Gym Gamma later then! Toodles!" Mirio chirps before dashing away.

"Who the hell was that, Deku?" Bakugou growls.

"Uh, Mirio Togata, he's a third year here. I spar with him a lot," Izuku answers in confusion. "He's one of UA's Big Three."

"And why would someone like that be friends with a flea like you?" Bakugou continues to growl.

"Because Midoriya is the only one who's actually able to kick his ass, that's why. A friendly rivalry," Oboro answers as he slips in through the window just before the bell rings. Everyone stares at him in surprise, "Go ahead and sit down. And I do believe that that's enough bullying from you, Bakugou. Midoriya earned his spot in the Hero Course so you will treat him with respect or there will be consequences as UA does not tolerate bullying or discrimination of any kind here. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes," Bakugou growls as he roughly takes his seat.

Izuku sits down in front of Hitoshi and Oboro can tell that Izuku has piqued his interest as he looks like he wants to talk to him but looks hesitant to do so but Kaminari definitely isn't as he speaks to Izuku, "Dude! I remember you from the exam! You were awesome out there! You even lifted that cement slab off that girl's leg! I thought you had some kind of strength quirk, I didn't know that was your raw power, man!"

Izuku blushes deeply as he hides his face, "So embarrassing."

Oboro chuckles at his mentee a bit especially as Hitoshi gives Izuku a look of utter confusion. "How's that embarrassing?" Hitoshi asks him.

"It's weird getting compliments and praises. They make me flustered cause the quirkless aren't treated nice so yeah, it's weird to me," Izuku answers and Hitoshi makes an 'o' face.

"Yes yes, you need to get used to it. So class, I'm Oboro Shirakumo or Pro-Hero Loud Cloud, I'm your homeroom and law and ethics teacher. You all are going to be grabbing these gym clothes and getting changed then meeting me out on the P.E. field," Oboro says before he goes to climb out of the window.

"But what about orientation?!" Uraraka asks.

"Orientation is for weenies," Oboro answers before hopping onto his cloud and leaving. Izuku is the first to join him and the boy has an uncomfortable look on his face, "What's the matter, little cloud?"

"The guys were all like.. checking me out while I was changing," Izuku answers. "Shinsou and Kaminari tried to block them but ya know, they all still checked me out like I'm some kind of foreign creature."

"Just tell them to fuck off, simple. Tell them that if they want something to look at then you'll give it to them then like flash or moon them," Oboro suggests and Izuku gives him a look.

"Absolutely not. That's perverted," Izuku states.

"Well they were being pervs first by staring. Gotta be a bigger perv and assert your dominance," Oboro chuckles.

"I'm not an animal, Sensei. I'm not about to show off my genitalia as a display of dominance, especially since some of them piss on themselves as part of it and I'm not about to give myself a golden shower," Izuku grumbles.

Oboro is howling with laughter as the rest of the class all joins them out on the field. "What's so funny, Sensei?" Sero asks.

"If you all keep staring at Midoriya while he's changing he's going to give you all something to look at!" Oboro laughs as Izuku sputters in embarrassment.

"No I'm not! You're the one who freaking suggested that!" Izuku squeaks out in defense.

"He's a grower anyways so it's not like he's going to accomplish anything while soft," Bakugou says with a sly smirk on his face as Izuku gives him a betrayed look.

"Shut up, Kacchan! At least I haven't burnt my own dick while jacking it!" Izuku retorts and now Bakugou has the betrayed look.

"Shut up, Deku! It's not like I fucking did that on purpose!" Bakugou shouts while blushing.

"Suuurrreee! You totally don't have a quirk use kink!" Izuku teases and Oboro is struggling and failing at not losing it and laughing like a mad man at these two boys being petty with each other.

"Okay okay! That's enough! Let's go ahead and get started on this assessment!" Oboro calls out for them to stop while laughing, then he explains to them all on what they are going to be doing. He watches them all run through the tests while taking down scores. His mentee may not have a quirk but he's resourceful so he's scoring in the middle ground while Hitoshi is almost last. He wonders if Hitoshi would accept an invitation to start training after school with him and Izuku; it's obvious that the boy's father hasn't done any sort of work with him. He does smile when he sees his mentee giving Hitoshi some pointers on what would make things easier for him so he feels like Izuku wouldn't be bothered if Hitoshi joined them for training.

Once he releases them and meets them back in the classroom, he holds Hitoshi back and he feels bad as the boy looks dejected, "Aw, don't look so down in the dumps, kiddo, I only held you back so I could ask you if you'd like to join Izuku with after school training."

Hitoshi looks a bit taken aback by that, "Um. Not that I don't mind that it's just, what if Midoriya does?"

"Izuku is one of those people who could give two shits less. To him, it'd just be another person with a new quirk he can experiment with," Oboro says while waving a dismissive hand. "You don't need to answer today but how about we just go to the gym and you can see for yourself if you'd like in on the fun."

Hitoshi nods his head and follows Oboro out. Oboro leads him to Gym Gamma and upon entering, he can see that Izuku has already changed back into his gym clothes but this time he has his capture scarf on him and more than likely his bo staff. He watches Hitoshi watch Izuku as the green haired boy goes from rafter to rafter with ease, dodging the naked Mirio who keeps popping up randomly all over the gym. Oboro smirks as Hitoshi's eyes widen as Izuku whacks Mirio on his rear with his bo staff, causing the older boy to yelp in surprise.

"Ow! Izuku-kun! That's mean!" Mirio states.

"How is it mean when you're standing in front of me buck ass naked? I could very easily go for the family jewels but I'm not because that's cringe worthy," Izuku answers as he hangs upside-down like Spider-Man from one of the rafters.

"You're also going easy on me! Be more intense!" Mirio says.

Izuku playfully wiggles his brows at him, "A more intense spanking, okay. The safe word is creampie."

"Ew! Don't be gross! And you know that I was not meaning it in that sense!" Mirio scolds him as he slips his pants back on.

"You opened the door and gave me an opportunity to make a sex joke, that's on you. Word your words more carefully," Izuku giggles mischievously.

"I wouldn't mind being part of this training. I especially wouldn't mind learning how to use whatever Midoriya is using around his shoulders," Hitoshi says softly.

"It's a capture weapon. Your uncle used one when he was alive," Oboro says and Hitoshi gives him a confused look.

"Uncle?" Hitoshi asks.

"Yes, Shōta Aizawa. Did your mother never tell you about her brother?" Oboro asks him and Hitoshi shakes his head.

"No. I didn't know my mom had a brother. She doesn't talk about or to anyone on her side of the family. I don't even know if my grandparents are alive," Hitoshi answers and Oboro sighs softly.

"Well, since your mother doesn't talk about him, I won't mind telling you. Just so you know though, I can't talk about him without crying. He was an amazing friend and hero and was taken from this world too soon," Oboro says sadly as Hitoshi gives him a sad look and nods his head.

The next day, Oboro gets a text from Nezu informing him that Izuku has been injured during Heroics training and he takes off running to the infirmary. He gets there and sees Hitoshi and Kaminari sitting next to an unconscious, burnt and shivering Izuku. "What happened?"

"Well, Todoroki was in a pissy mood earlier and Midoriya was on his team against Bakugou and Kirishima. Bakugou and Todoroki started screaming and yelling at each other about some nonsense after Midoriya's team won and well, Midoriya attempted to deescalate the situation and ended up getting blasted and iced at the same time as they weren't paying attention to the fact that he was literally right there," Hitoshi explains to him.

"Yeah and All Might just.. let it happen. He didn't even attempt to stop it himself. It um.. it kinda looked like he wanted it to happen, like he wanted Midoriya to get hurt," Kaminari adds on while Hitoshi nods his head.

Oboro sighs heavily, "All Might is a quirkist asshole. That's all I'm going to say about the man. You two go get showered and changed and I'll see you in the classroom. I'll tend to Midoriya."

The two boys leave and Oboro sits down next to the bed and pulls out his tablet so he can watch the footage. He was confused as to why they were in their hero costumes as they were just supposed to be doing another Q.A.T with All Might. He gets his answer when he gets the footage pulled up and he just wants to go and punch the giant blonde in the face. He leaves Izuku to heal and rest up as he goes and teaches the rest of his classes for the day.

After classes let out for the day he runs into someone he never expected, his ex-girlfriend, Inko. "Inko," Oboro greets.

"Oboro," Inko says coldly. "So, you're the one Izuku has been training under?" Oboro nods his head. "There is a possibility that he's your son."

Oboro's eye twitches in anger, "And why are you just now telling me this? It's been almost sixteen years."

"I know. I was seeing you and another man at the same time but chose the other man to be Izuku's father even though he looks a bit more like you than him," Inko answers.

"That's fucked up but that still doesn't answer why you are just now telling me this," Oboro says in annoyance.

"Because I'm tired of taking care of a quirkless brat. My husband doesn't even come home anymore because of him. He already signed his rights away and the only reason I haven't done it yet is because I wanted to see if he was your child or not," Inko explains.

"What kind of mother chooses a man over their own child? Oh wait, you obviously do. Even if Izuku isn't my kid, I'd still take him in as my own," Oboro growls out.

"Very well then, then you can have him. I'll relinquish my rights and give custody over to you," Inko says.

"Fine, I'm perfectly okay with that because I like him, unlike you. The boy is very sweet and loving and has a great sense of humor," Oboro says, then sees Nezu standing behind Inko. "What is it, Nezu-san?"

"I can get all of that taken care of for the two of you if you'd like. Izuku-kun is still asleep," Nezu answers kindly and the two follow him to his office.

Inko leaves after telling him that she'll have all of Izuku's belongings packed up for him to be picked up later. He sits by Izuku's cot as the boy continues to sleep. He looked a lot better than he did earlier so he takes it as a win. Right now he's waiting on the test results to come back for his and Izuku's DNA to see if the boy is his son or not. Recovery Girl approaches him an hour later and hands him the results, Izuku is his child.

He's rubbing his forehead as he thinks of a way of explaining this to Izuku when the boy stirs and sees him sitting there, "Sensei?"

"Feeling better, Izuku?" Oboro asks him softly.

"Yeah, just really hungry," Izuku answers.

"We'll stop and get you something to eat once we collect your things from your mother's house," Oboro says and a look of confusion forms on Izuku's face. "She.. she relinquished her rights over you and gave me sole custody. Did a DNA test while you were sleeping, you're my son. I um.. I dated Inko while we were in high school. I didn't know that she was seeing me and another man at the same time and I also never knew that she was ever pregnant because she chose the man who you thought to be your father as your father. She told me that there was a possibility when I ran into her in the hallway after classes let out and I told her that I'd still take you even if you weren't mine but yeah, that's what happened while you've been sleeping. I'm sorry."

"Why are you apologizing? You have no reason to. Besides, I like the idea of having a cool ass parent over a witch anyday," Izuku says with a sad smile and Oboro pats his head lightly.

"Glad to hear it. Get up and get changed and we'll go and get your things," Oboro says as he stands up and helps Izuku sit up. He waits for Izuku to get changed and when the boy comes back, he can definitely see that he had been crying and he doesn't blame the boy either, he'd be crying too. Izuku leads him to his mother's home and sees that Inko has already set all of the boxes and suitcases on the front lawn to be collected. Oboro helps him put everything into his car before they drive all the way to the opposite side of Musutafa to his own two bedroom home. He clears out the guest room turned junk room and helps Izuku set everything up as they wait for their take out to arrive so they could eat.

Oboro wakes up the next day and sees that Izuku has curled up next to him in his bed and he pokes the boy on the cheek until he wakes up, "Whatcha doing in here?"

"I couldn't sleep alone," Izuku answers. "I'm sorry."

"Nah, it's alright, little cloud. Not like you disturbed my sleep or anything, I was too dead to the world to realize that you came in here," Oboro says as he stretches out before getting up. "Gotta get showered and eat so we can get to UA."

They get ready for the day and eat breakfast before heading to UA. Once there, Oboro reintroduces Izuku as his biological son and holds up the DNA test as proof. The staff all gush over the blushing Izuku before he dashes off to class looking like a tomato and with a lipstick mark on his cheek from Midnight who insisted on giving him an auntie smooch.

The school day goes on as normal, that is until the teachers are all heading to the teachers' lounge after a short staff meeting so they could have their lunch. They are all stopped in their tracks as the school's record room bursts open and it's Izuku and a knife wielding girl going toe to toe against each other. She's slinging the knife around recklessly as Izuku actively dodges her advances until he starts fighting back and quickly disarms her before pinning her to the floor where she starts gushing about how cute Izuku is and how much she wants to drink his blood so she could become him.

Oboro can't help but to be proud of his son for taking down a villain all on his own all while being completely unarmed. He looks up as he hands Izuku some quirk suppressing cuffs and sees Class 1-A and 1-B standing there with shocked looks on their faces.

"Hell yeah, Izubro!" Kirishima cheers, breaking the silence. "That was freaking amazing! I don't know who taught you how to fight but I want them to teach me too!" The red-head starts punching at the air in excitement.

"Sensei is my mentor," Izuku says while pointing at Oboro with his thumb. "He's been training me since after the Entrance Exam. Before that, I just watched YouTube videos on how to fight and taught myself."

"So. So you're primarily self-taught?" Sero asks him.

"Yeah, for the most part. I didn't learn how to wield weapons until he started training me," Izuku answers.

"What's your quirk?" Monoma asks him as he pushes his way to the front of the group with a scowl on his face.

"I'm quirkless," Izuku answers and Monoma looks taken aback by that. "And before you ask, no, I did not get in on recommendations. I took the practical exam and got in solely on rescue points. I placed third."

Class B just stares at him with shocked looks as he gets off of the girl who is now saying how much she loves him. None of the teachers know what to make of this girl, especially since they all know that she isn't a student at UA. "Izuku-kun, what were you doing in the records room?" Nezu asks him kindly.

"I was heading to the cafeteria from the library cause I wanted some analysis study books and I heard a ruckus coming from inside the room so I investigated and saw her, a crusty man and some misty dude in a bartender's suit digging through the files. McCrusty took a piece of paper with him and misty dude had opened some kind of portal so a teleportation quirk, which is super rare but anyways, they left her behind because she was more interested in drinking my blood than escaping with them," Izuku explains everything that happened.

"I see," Nezu says with a slight hum, "So we had some intruders that our security system didn't pick up on." He turns and starts heading to his office, "I'm going to be doing some digging into that, please call the police to come and collect the intruder."

They call the police and Izuku gives them his statement before they leave with the girl. Classes move on as normal after that until the last class of the day where Oboro has them pick a Class President and just about everyone voted for Izuku who protested against that but Hitoshi gave him a little bit of encouragement. Izuku accepted the role just as long as he got to pick the Vice President where he picks Hitoshi and Oboro tries not to laugh at his son's antics as it was a clear sign of retaliation. He can't help but to smile fondly as the two boys remind him of him and Shōta and when Kaminari joins in, he reminds him of the old Mic. Today's Mic seems more like a shell of himself but he's also a shell of himself as well.

He doesn't even realize that he has tears running down his face until Bakugou says something, "Why are you crying?"

He startles a bit and sees that the class is all staring at him in concern, especially Izuku, "Oh I'm just thinking of an old friend. Midoriya, Shinsou and Kaminari remind me of how me, Mic and Eraserhead were in our second year. After Eraser was killed.. me and Mic just.. became shells of ourselves and pointed fingers of blame on one another. I'm just happy to see that another similar friendship is forming, it's nice to see."

The next day, they head over to the USJ. Oboro was beyond pissed that All Might called out as now he's going to be teaching the Heroics class today with Thirteen. The man's excuse was 'I need a break from the kids' even though it's only been three days of active classes. He might as well make the man sit on the side-lines and teach the class Heroics instead, maybe they'd actually learn something.

They arrive and Thirteen excitedly explains to the students about the different zones and what kinds of rescue scenarios can be done in those different types of situations. Something catches Oboro's eye down in the plaza but sees nothing so he safely assumes that his eyes are just playing tricks on him until it happens again and now he's just staring down in the plaza in confusion.

"That's the misty dude's quirk, dad," Izuku points out as a black swirling mist appears and dozens of villains file through it. "And the one with the hands is McCrusty," Izuku adds as the villain walks through last with the mist villain and a hooded one; the villain's face being covered by the shadow that the oversized hood it's producing.

Neither him nor Thirteen are suited to take on this number of villains so he quickly sends out an S.O.S. text message to the group chat as he and Thirteen start ushering the twenty kids to the door. The mist villain cuts them off and they are all swallowed up by the villain's quirk. Oboro finds himself and Thirteen down in the plaza and the two begin fighting off the villains. He notices that the hooded one is just aimlessly looking around while the crusty one is getting more and more angry and frustrated that All Might isn't there. The villain becomes irate when he informs him that All Might called out of work today.

Oboro notices that the kids are all still at the top of the stairs and feels his heart stop when they get portalled away as well. He sees portals open up all around the USJ so he knows that his students have all been spread out. He feels his heart stop when he sees Izuku, Hitoshi and Tsuyu fall through a portal over the shipwreck zone. His eyes then widen in shock as he watches Izuku's hair change to a light wispy green color and a gray cloud pops up under him, catching himself and then using his capture weapon to catch Hitoshi and Tsuyu and dragging them up onto his cloud with him. His son got his quirk, he got it fifteen years late but he has his quirk.

He isn't the only one who witnessed this, as now the hooded villain is screaming and pulling at a metal device around his neck, trying to rip it off. The crusty villain starts yelling at the man, "You worthless high end nomu! Why can't you just follow my orders?! Why do you always fight the device! If you'd just listen, you wouldn't have to wear it!" The hood comes off the villain as he continues to struggle and Oboro feels his heart stop, it's Shōta, his face is scarred up and his hair is longer but it's Shōta.

"Shō?!" Oboro calls out to him and Shōta looks at him with a terrified expression.

"Boro, help me," Shōta pleads before he's getting electrocuted by the device around his neck and goes back to just standing there looking around aimlessly.

Oboro has his hands covering his mouth in horror for a moment before he whacks a villain charging at him with his bo staff, "Shōta! Snap out of it! I need you!"

Shōta comes back to and begins struggling with the device again. The crusty villain starts charging towards Shōta with his hand extended, "You piece of shit nomu! I'll just get rid of you!"

Oboro goes to rush to help Shōta then the villain is getting knocked straight in the face with Izuku's metal bo staff; the new cloud user has booted Hitoshi and Tsuyu off at the top of the stairs and has come to assist, "Save Eraser, dad! I'll hold him off!"

Oboro rushes up to Shōta and quickly examines the device before he starts attempting to pull it apart, "You're alive, Shō."

"Yes and no. They did something to my corpse and brought me back so maybe a zombie but not really," Shōta explains as he's pulling along with Oboro.

"That's confusing and fucked up," Oboro states as he struggles.

"I know. I've tried escaping but then I'd wake up back in a tank so I think they kept trying to alter my brain," Shōta says.

"That's really fucked up," Oboro says before he and Shōta are both getting hit with Hizashi's quirk. Oboro turns to look to see if they were just caught in the crossfire but he was mistaken as they are hit with another one of his quirked attacks and he can feel the blood coming out of his ears. He watches with wide eyes as Izuku then attacks Hizashi by slapping a cloud straight into his mouth and the green haired boy dodges an attack and now it's Izuku and Hizashi battling.

Oboro turns his head to see that the crusty villain is unconscious and that the mist villain is attempting to wake the man up. He turns and goes back to getting the device off of Shōta who is now fixated on Hizashi. He finally manages to destroy the device's back panel and it unlocks; freeing Shōta. Both of them watch with betrayed expressions as Hizashi quickly leaves through a portal with the villains.

"It.. it wasn't an accident?" Shōta asks softly. "I.. I thought it was just an accident that day."

Oboro pulls Shōta into a tight hug and sighs softly as it gets returned, "I thought it was too. Looks like we were both wrong."

They just sit on the ground holding onto one another, not noticing that the staff members and the twenty students have gathered around them. Oboro melts a bit as Shōta nuzzles his neck before whispering, "I love you too by the way."

A wet laugh escapes Oboro, "You were there?"

"Only for a moment before they found me. I never blamed you, you know. You tried to save me, I know that you tried and that's what mattered to me," Shōta says as Oboro sniffles. Shōta pulls away from the hug and cups Oboro's face before he kisses him. Oboro had a shocked look on his face for a moment before he relaxed into it and returned the gesture.

"Does this make us cousins now?" Hitoshi asks Izuku and Oboro chokes a bit.

"Uh, maybe? They're not married, they just got reunited after fifteen years," Izuku answers and now Shōta is the one making a choking sound.

"I've been gone fifteen years?" Shōta asks.

"Yeah. We're in our thirties unfortunately," Oboro answers with a sad smile. He presses his forehead against Shōta's and melts a bit at the soft blush he sees, "You have a nephew to get to know, I have a son to get to know, and me and you have fifteen years of lost time to catch up on."
