Summary
After tearing his ACL for the second time, Chigiri's flame goes out with only the cold stump of a candle remaining, leading to a string of bad relationships and self isolation. This is normal, he tells himself. It's what he deserves. Happiness is a dream he gave up on long ago.
Until by chance, Isagi and Bachira, now successful soccer players themselves, come across him one snowy evening. After a drunken confession, they realize they have to seize this new chance with their old flame.
The best time to tell someone you wanted to have a three way relationship with them was ten years ago. The second best time is now. But trying to convince Chigiri that he's loved, and always has been, is a task only someone with a monster inside them could accomplish.
