Chapter Text
You wake up with a jolt, in a cold sweat. Your vision is blurry but you make an effort to find your phone on your bedside table. As you come to, you realise your bedroom lights are on, hold on, this isn't your bedroom. It's definitely a bedroom, but you've never seen it before. When you finally go to look at the time, you're not holding your phone, actually, what is that, it isn't even remotely phone shaped, it looks like some sort of metallic stick? With a golden yellow rock looking thing poking out the top. You got up from not your bed and put down the.. thing.
You were about to leave the room when you caught a glimpse of yourself in a mirror that was swarmed with clothes, god this room is messy, but when you look in the mirror, it's not you. You move closer to your reflection, olive green eyes stare back at you. You tuck your now short blonde hair behind your ears. "What sort of joke is this? What's going on?" You wonder aloud. Your wondering is cut short when you hear a northern accent coming from obviously not your mouth.
You finally leave the room you woke up in and you're met with a weird looking corridor that goes on forever. You walk endlessly until you find a pair of huge, old looking wooden doors. You reach forward with not your hands and twist the golden knobs that seem to have a circular sort of pattern on them. Filled bookshelves cover the entirety of what must be a library, at the end of a pathway between thesauruses and dictionaries for surely made up languages there's a fireplace with a sofa and a couple of armchairs surrounding it, with a small coffee table with a stack of astronomy books about galaxies you'd never heard of. This was enough to keep you exploring for days, maybe even weeks, but you knew there couldn't just be a cluttered bedroom and a library, so you reluctantly left closing the heavy doors behind you.
You continue walking through the corridor and find another room, though you don't know how you'd identify this one. It's got a dome like shape, it has six glowing yellow pillars that look like tall crystals, with a hexagonal panel with lots of levers and buttons and pulleys and another pillar in the middle and who knows what else. You notice a small corridor with doors at the end on the other side of the room. You decide to go and open them, see what will happen. You hate to admit it but the mystery of your situation is quite exciting.
You open the doors.
You're still in Cardiff, thank god, maybe you just drank too much last night, you don't know how you ended up here though. Wait. Hold on one second. You're right by the water tower, you get out to look for it. You quickly, though not as quick as you wished you had, looked back at where you had just been. It looked like a phone box, but it's blue and says 'police' on it and... it's right next to the tower. But how, where was the library? Surely that couldn't fit in the tower, could it? No, no it couldn't. You walk all the way around the box, it's just a box, but then you go back in. It is definitely not just a box and it's... bigger on the inside?
