    Yumi doesn't seem to notice. Her eyes and ears are trained on the bustling city below them, yet the dim glow in her red-lit pupils seems scattered, lost behind a fog of emotions and thoughts. Her left ear twitches in his direction for a moment—but only a moment—when he scoffs, his breath quickly leaving between his teeth.

    "Keep up with what?" he asks.

    She doesn't look at him. Lets the silence reply for her.
