Summary
The companion bond was formed through the purest of the light magic. Eddie’s companion was chosen for him on the day that he turned sixteen and was expected to defend the kingdom in the event of a siege. It wouldn’t be a good look for the heir of the prestigious Moon Court to be without protection, even if many did doubt Eddie’s legitimacy as an heir of the Arcana due to the fact that the current Moon Throne was held by his uncle, rather than his father. But Wayne didn’t have a son of his own, and Eddie’s father had been exiled from the kingdom long ago. Despite the whispers and the sidelong glances, Eddie was the only heir the Moon Throne had.
