Centuries ago, instead of hiding from muggles with the Statute of Secrecy, wizards used a ritual to create a dimension for all magical beings to live openly. But maintaining that freedom comes at a lethal price. Every seven years, the worthiest students in Europe have the great honour of being selected to compete in a tournament: three deadly tasks, two months of training, one victor. Grindelwald’s Ministry demands it. But certain troublesome students only follow rules which happen to align with their own plans.
Tom Riddle intends to win. Harry Potter refuses to lose. From rivalry comes respect, and an intense interest that, once sparked, refuses to burn out. They are binary stars locked in orbit in a world built to break them apart. But the world doesn’t define them, their choices do: what they decide to fight for, and who they choose to trust.
