“Are you sure this is a good idea Akito?”
Currently, Vivid BAD SQUAD was walking to an abandoned train station that Akito stumbled upon when they went camping
It was a miracle he remembered where it was considering his track record when it comes to his grades
“Yeah I said it would be fine. I mean last time I was here I didn’t die so it should be fine”
“Key word here, should! I don’t want my poor innocent sweet Kohane getting hurt on VALENTINES DAY OF ALL DAYS!”
Akito scoffed before looking straight ahead to the station, “Come on it's right there. And I assure you An, if anyone is getting hurt it’s you”
“WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!?” An stopped in her tracks to face the ginger who had a wide smirk on his face
“Okay okay don’t fight you guys. An, everything will be fine”
“Yeah An! If Akito says that it’s safe we should trust him. He wouldn’t want any of us getting hurt after all”
“Fine..” The group kept following Akito until they reached the desired destination
It was nice, well it was very cold but it was also very nice to look at. There were a bunch of plants growing everywhere, it looked almost dystopian in a way, as if an apocalypse had just happened. Graffiti had littered the walls, one of which definitely said Vivid BAD SQUAD on it, but it was pretty faded
“It’s nice isn’t it? I told you it would be fine An”
“Dude how did you even find this place!? It’s like something out of a dream! Come on Kohane, let's go explore!”
“A-An!” Kohane’s hand was (lovingly) grabbed by her girlfriend who started to run off before being stopped by Akito
“Dude don’t run off you don’t even know where you’re going!”
“It’s not dangerous is it? We’ll be fine,, plus that gives you more time with your boyfriend! Now come on Kohane!” The girl’s statement had stunned Akito to the point where he couldn’t form coherent words, he was just kinda forming syllables
“We aren’t dating An..” Face clearly flushed, Akito was finally able to say something
Between An’s smug face and the giggles coming from both Kohane and Toya, Akito was embarrassed
“Not dating yet!” Toya laugh was traded for a slight blush across his face
“I-..okay go be gay with Kohane or something…”
An obnoxious laugh came from An who then ran off with the slightly shorter blonde girl
“God she’s insufferable,” Akito rolled his eyes at the girls running in the opposite direction
“She’s just messing with us Akito,” Toya had walked slightly closer to the ginger so he could put a hand on his shoulder
‘But she isn’t! God I really wish you knew..’
“Yeah.. oh come with me, there’s a cat that lives somewhere around here!” Akito grabbed his partner’s hand and ran to a very specific direction
Toya thought nothing of it. Akito said he had been here before, so nothing was out of the ordinary. Toya had gotten sidetracked by trying to keep up with Akito that he didn’t realize Akito was holding his hand, and only realized it when Akito let go
He missed the warmth, it was something he craved
Toya would never admit it but he was extremely touch starved. Due to his childhood just being so cold and dark, Akito was basically a breath of fresh air for him
To Toya, Akito was like the sun. Akito was there in his darkest moments and helped him shine because of his presence alone. To most people, Toya seemed like the moon, cold and far away. Hell, his favorite jacket even said the moon on it. He was never able to produce light for others to thrive off of, but Akito changed that and helped him shine and realize his true potential. He will forever be grateful for Akito coming to save him, but he was never able to say that. He wanted to tell him so many things but he was just stuck with a lump in his throat. He desperately wanted to shout to Akito how much he loved him but-
“Hey Toya, you good? You’ve been spaced out for like ten minutes. I didn’t want to bother you because you looked kinda serious. Is everything okay?”
“Hm? Oh yes I’m okay I was just thinking.. about this place. How did you even find it?”
“Got bored and walked off one night, ended up here and found a cat.. speaking of that cat where is she?”
Akito had wandered around the place they were standing to see if he could find this mystery cat he kept mentioning
“There you are! Oi Toya, come here!”
Toya walked over to where Akito was knelt down and was met with a scruffy looking tabby cat who was way too skinny for it to be healthy
“Hey girl.. I really need to come up with a name for you”
The cat had walked up to Akito who had a hand stretched out towards her
“How often are you here for her to recognize you? And for you to want to name her?”
“Well I come here to practice sometimes and I guess she just recognizes my voice now. We shared my lunch once so I made it a habit to just bring her something every time I come,” Akito went to pull something out of his backpack. It was a small can of cat food he must have picked up from the convenience store before they came
“You must really care about her if you bought her food,” Toya looked at him with the fondest look in his eyes. The fact that he cares about the little things makes Toya’s heart flutter
“Uh yeah.. well she’s out here all by herself and I’m not just gonna let her starve”
The can of food was now on the ground and the small cat was eating happily
Akito gave her fur one last ruffle before standing up and offering a hand to Toya
“Come on I still wanna show you one thing”
Toya took Akito’s hand and the both of them were off to a mysterious new place
In reality, Akito had been planning this. He’s been wanting to take Toya to the abandoned area for a while now, but he felt like doing it on Valentine’s Day of all days gave him a chance to do one last thing
“Y’know Akito, you aren’t supposed to feed stray cats.. unless you want to take them home or to a shelter”
“Yeah yeah I know. If it makes you happy I’ll take her to a shelter after this, oh we’re here”
Akito stopped in front of an open doorway that had multiple vines covering it
Akito gave the blue haired boy a slight nudge, telling him to go through, which he did
Toya was not expecting to see what was there it wasn’t unpleasant but more of a pleasant surprise
The room was dimly lit by fairy lights that were hanging from the ceiling, there was a picnic blanket, actually two on the floor surrounded by a bunch of plants and.. grass? That’s when Toya realized the ground was broken so plants could grow through. There was a pile of blankets and pillows on both of the picnic blankets, it was honestly something out of a dream for Toya
It was beautiful to look at, even more beautiful to be in the area
“When did you do this?” Toya turned around to face Akito, who was looking at him with a fond smile
“Last night, I wanted An and Kohane to come as well so we could talk about our next show, that’s why there’s two blankets,but.. I’m glad it’s just us two”
Akito went next to Toya and intertwining their hands, a blush was starting to creep up on Toya’s cheeks
He was happy
No wait
He was ecstatic
He got to spend time in a beautiful place with his beautiful friend and-
Beautiful friend?
“Uh hey Toya.. I uh got us these,” Akito pulled something out of his pocket
It was a small, slightly busted up box
Akito went to open it and pulled out two keychains, they were both cats
One black, one white
“Here look they fit together like this,” Akito held both of them in different hands then went to connect them
Surely enough with a small clink noise, they were slotted together in a yin-yang type look
The cats looked as if they were cuddled together almost
A smile started to for on Toya’s face, up to the point where he couldn’t control it and it had developed into a full grin
“Thank you Akito.. it’s perfect”
Now Akito started to blush, he went to hand one of the keychains to Toya, who gladly accepted it
There was a suffocating silence while Toya was looking at the keychain, Akito couldn’t take it anymore
“Here come sit.. I wanna tell you something”
Toya obliged and put the keychain in his pocket
The two of them sat down on one of the blankets and made themselves as comfortable as possible with the absurd amount of blankets Akito had brought
It was cold, neither of them could deny that. I mean they were wearing the huge puffy jackets just to make sure they didn’t freeze outside, but now that they were with each other and surrounded by blankets, it was extremely hot
Well not extremely hot, both of them wanted to take off their jackets though
“Hey Toya.. I- this is stupid I.. really like you. When An was joking earlier I couldn’t help but be embarrassed because it’s what I want. I really want you to be my boyfriend, I want us to be more than just singing partners.. Jesus Christ it is hot in here is it hot in here Toya? Here let me take your jacke-“
“Akito.. I feel the same way. Don’t try to change the subject. But yes it is slightly hot in here”
Akito was looking at his partner with his mouth slightly ajar
“Did you really just say that!?”
“I meant every word Akito.. I would love to be your boyfriend”
“Hold on give me a second to process this,” so the duo sat in silence while Akito was coming up with a response to no avail
Instead he does was he’s best with, physical touch
He leaned forward so that he was now draped onto Toya and attempted to forced him to lay down
“Akito what are you-“
“Shush, this is my thank you. I love you”
“I love you too but wha- Ah Akito!”
Now both of them were fully laying down with Akito sprawled on top of Toya
“You could have just said you wanted to cuddle dude, this was unnecessary..”
“It was more fun this way.. anyway you may want to take off your jacket”
“You kind of have to get off for that”
Akito hummed and proceeded to roll over so the both of them could take their stupid jackets off
“Alright come here,” Akito’s arms were now open invitingly for Toya to fall into, which he did
It was nice just the two of them being there together
Akito was definitely relieved An and Kohane ran off to only god knows where
They were just lying there in silence with their limbs tangled and hands clasped together
“Akito..”
“Toya?”
The taller of the two had moved his hands to cup the Ginger’s cheeks and planted a delicate kiss on his forehead
“Wha! Dude what was that for!? It was so random..”
“Sorry sorry I just.. really wanted to kiss you”
“Well you could have just asked,” Akito had moved his arms so that they were wrapped around Toya’s neck to bring him closer and closed the distance between the two of them
The feeling of their lips being connected for the first time is a feeling neither of them will ever forget
It really is amazing, almost like fireworks being set off
The kiss itself wasn’t anything special, just a simple connection for a few seconds, but it’s something the both of them will remember forever
When they parted both of their arms went to wrap around rather to savor each other’s warmth
“Can we stay like this for a little bit before we have to meet up with the other two?”
“I was gonna ask you the same thing”

“Where are they? And why are we following a cat Kohane!?”
“Well she was meowing at us and started to walk over here and turned around to see if we were following!”
An groaned bit kept following the tabby cat until the couple was at a doorway
Mrowr!
“I think she wants us to go in there.. is that where Akito and Toya are?”
“Probably.. honestly they’re probably like making out right now or something..”
“Do you think Akito confessed?”
“We wouldn’t be here if he didn’t, or if he got rejected..”
“I don’t think he got rejected.. Toya definitely likes him back”
“Yeah, those two have been pining for months..oh we should probably go get them now”
Kohane nodded and the two went into the room
“Alright gay boys let’s- oh that’s sweet..”
The sight they were looking at was two boys who somehow managed to fall asleep in the freezing cold without a jacket on
To be fair they were cuddled together and surrounded by blankets but it still seemed pretty unlikely for them to fall asleep just like that
“This room is really pretty!”
“Yup, Akito actually came here last night and set it up. He had a plan for a double date sort of thing, but those rundown trains were really freaking cool!”
An pulled out her phone and took a photo of the two boys that were snuggled together before gently waking up Toya because she might have woken up Akito very aggressively
“How long have you guys been here Toya?”
“We fell asleep?”
“Oh wow what were you guys doing? Also you should wake up Akito”
Toya made an ‘O’ shape with his mouth before he gently nudged Akito to wake him up
“Mm.. five more minutes,” the grip that the Ginger had on Toya tightened and Akito buried his head into Toyas chest
“An and Kohane are here Akito”
“Tell ‘em to go away.. I wanna sleep”
“We have to go home.. we’re still at the station”
Akito had immediate shot up to see An trying to hold in her laughter and Kohane giggling
“We should.. go home now”
“Yeah.. is it late?”
“19:21!”
“Your dumbasses fell asleep! We could have left earlier..”
“Oh.. Akito can I-“
“Yes you can stay at my place..”
“Okay you gay losers let’s go”
