Hanahaki disease is an illness that affects those whose love is so strong yet they feel like their love is one sided, while it’s not a common nor rare disease, many suffer from it every year. There are only 2 diseases known to humanity right now, if it’s truly an one-sided relationship you may have the flower surgically but lose the memory of their beloved one or their love accepts both feelings for each other. Often times the disease can last from the minimum of a week to an year.

Akito should’ve seen this coming, he worked to the point of exhaustion for the past few months trying to prove his value to ArataFeeling an itch in the throat, the fellow coughs with his hand covering as not to get it on his beloved Akito, only to reveal petals of white carnations in his hand.
Feeling his throat feel scratchy and unable to breathe he grabs a tissue to cough only to find blood and a mixture of edelweiss flowers and daisies. Last time It was only flowers, why is there blood now? Last time… Last time was 2 weeks ago? 1 week? A few days ago?
Toya wanted to just hug him and kiss him on the forehea- wait what?! Kiss him? No, no that’s impossible, Akito would never love someone like him.
