Mari stood on the plank on the hangout spot. She's been standing there for what felt like hours.
It's been 7 years since she killed Sunny and framed his death as a suicide. He saved her dear little brother, and she also killed him
It has also been 3 years since she confessed the truth. It was hard for everyone to find out, but they all eventually forgave her. Although she moved away, Mari frequently visits as she's an adult.
Just then, she felt someone else walk towards her
"Oh, hey there, handsome." She said, snickering
"Hey, Mari. Ha, you've been using that for a long while. 10 years right?" Hero responded
"Yeah. 10 years, we met when we were 8. That's pretty... pretty crazy to think about huh?'
"Y-yeah. I'm glad. I couldn't have asked for a better girl." Hero then smiled at her
"Hero, I know you're called that because you love Hero Sandwiches at Gino's, but there's more meaning to that. At least for me." Mari breathed in and out, as Hero stared
"After I... I killed Sunny and became a shut in, you took care of me. You frequently visited, checked on me, I could always rely on you for my problems. I don't know where I'd be without you."
"Henry "Hero" Rodriguez, you're not some boy named Henry, you're a hero, you're my Hero. I want... I love you, I want to spend my life with you! I wanna grow old with you! I wanna have kids with you! I wanna do everything with you! And that's.. that's why I ask..." Mari then grabbed Hero's hand and wrapped it around hers.
"Hero.... Henry "Hero" Rodriguez... will you... marry me?" Mari smiled as she shed a tear
Hero started crying.
"Mar-Mari... I... yes" Hero could barely speak a sentence. He then felt Mari's arms wrapped around him. Their tears slowly turned into laughter. A mix of joy and sadness overwhelmed them both. They shared their kiss
After a while, they returned to the Rodriguez household
"Hey everyone! Hey Ma! Papa! Meet your daughter in law! Kel! Sally! Your new-new sister!"
Hero and Mari kept giggling. Finally, Kel spoke up
"Sister in law? Daug- Hero! That's so cool! You're getting-" He was cut off by Mari
"We're getting married! We're getting married! I'm so so- EEEEEE!" She squealed as she grabbed Hero by the legs and carried him
Sally had no clue what was going on, so she asked her brother Kel to flip the page on the book they were reading
"Haha, Sally. We'll read this later. You're getting a new sister! Mari!" He told her. She didn't care and went to go play with the ABC building blocks
"Oh, we're so proud of you! After you finish college, we'll set everything up!" Hero's dad said
"I'm gonna be a grandma soon! My baby boy has grown so much!" Hero's mom squealed
(4 years later)
Hero and Mari were happily married. They're currently on a trip to Japan. As of now, they're staying in a hotel as it's a 4 hour drive to Mari's ancestors' house. Life was perfect for them. Yet, something... or someone was missing.
"Hero?" Mari said as she passed her husband a plate of baked potatoes
"Hm? Oh, and thank you honey." He said as he took a bite
"I... we're financially stable right? We have everything we need. Just wondering can we uh..."
(This is weirder than I thought) thought Mari
"I think we-I want a baby. I think we should have sex. Not without your consent of course. Hahaa..." Mari finishing her sentence, very awkwardly
Hero slowly smiled. "Oh, of course honey. We have everything we need. I... I can't wait to be a father."
They both gave each other a smile. The best one they've ever given to each other

Sally: My bigger brother said I'm gonna be an aunt! My law sister is married and is having a baby, like you Misses Hamlin!
Mrs. Hamlin, Sally's English teacher: That's super duper! 7 year old aunt... that's funny.
