Summary
The seemingly still wave of human connection actually follows an ebb and a flow, as does a variety of other things such as health, mentality, and meaning. So far, the group has managed to overcome life's various obstacles but are now tasked with facing reality and learning to understand the differences in each other, the trauma that follows them, and what it means to have a full wave of connection. Healing comes with costs and consequences.
From a vacation that brings out even the darkest of struggles to beach trips that highlight what it is that makes being in the group a beacon of light, Sunny and Co experience Senior Year like a storm.

I love angst in my fics so please review the tags if you have anything you're sensitive to. I don't like sugarcoating things, but I try not to romanticize them either. I have some ships tagged here but they're not really full blown relationships, more of an implied feelings sort of thing, but they may come to fruition if the fic lets me go that way.

Summary
It had been three years since Sunny told the truth. He only has in contact with Basil......and Basil only. But despite that burden, Sunny was able to take a new step in life, now in a boy group called "Superstars" with four other members, Naveen, Mingyu, Adrian and Jonathan, and Sunny now has to face with the hardships and sucess of being in the music industry. And now they are moving to a city called Big City for University with a music and art scholarship.
However, Sunny would eventually cross paths with someone from the past once again after many years, and he was literally in the same college and city. And sooner and later, the two would reunite with once again after all this time, as old wounds, unresolved problems and old feelings arise again.

Sunny is still facing demons which he thought would have gone after he told the truth, his mother is still not around and he's beginning to feel more alone than ever. After a one year break, Sunny returns to Faraway at summer time. He is staying at Kel's and Hero's house for the rest of the summer break. Kel and Basil are glad about the news, but Aubrey and Hero aren't so positive about it, Sunny doesn't blame them for that. He hasn't fully healed mentally, noone really did. Sunny only told the truth and by agreeing to Kel's offer he now has to stay here and face his feelings, not just the truth, as Mari's grave is visited more and more often.

They would do well to unpack it together, but haven't spoken in years despite being neighbors. It's easier not to dredge up the past, after all. But Kel gets a rude awakening on the first day of summer vacation telling him that as far as he and Sunny are concerned, it's now or never. Will the strength of their old bonds finally compel them to start speaking again? And will they discover something deeper than friendship as they dig through their shared trauma together?
Canonically, Kel repeatedly called Sunny before THREE DAYS LEFT, but Sunny ignored his calls.
But what if he didn't? Find out in this story.
This fic will focus on Sunny and Kel, but other characters will be introduced and play meaningful roles as the story unfolds. Expect plenty of angst, soul-searching, and general emo-ness, but some happier, lighter moments as well. Also, I don't buy into the whole "all the parents in OMORI are horrible people" trope, so I tried to humanize them ... they're flawed but trying their best.
