Work Text:
Two thousand miles away, we promised things wouldn’t change. Our same possessions fill this house, but everything is different.
Lenora isn’t home. Not without Mike.
Infrequent calls are all I have. Used to talk for hours, now unsure of what to say.
Met any cute girls in Lenora yet?
He knows I haven’t.
Remembering, It’s not my fault you don’t like girls, when we both know the truth.
Line goes silent, I pass the phone to El.
I say the rest to myself, because he’s not ready to hear it.
There are no cute girls, because it’s always been you.
