Chapter Text
Vessel has grown fond of his bandmates but despite all the love that he receives, He still longs for someone he can confide himself in. Until, recently (your name) had been someone he could’ve opened himself too; but he decided against it. He didn’t and couldn’t be hurt again, not after Her, He couldn’t because of the hurt she had left him with. Regardless of the aching pain that she gave to him; He got close enough to (your name) to talk to him every once in a while. And now it became almost every two weeks. Vessel would enjoy himself more than he led on. He would listen to the ramblings of (your name), and every single second, He admired the man. He almost lost himself in the way that (your name) would talk so passionately about his interests…It made him, feel better. “Ves—” (your name)’s voice cut in “Vessel! Are you alright man?” (your name)’s hand waved in front of his face and Vessel sat straight. “Oh, Yeah, Yeah. I'm alright.” Vessel spoke a bit softer than he wanted to be. "Are you sure? You seem a bit out of it Vess." The man sighed quietly as he patted Vessel's shoulder gently. "Yes, I'm quite alright, I promise (your name)." Vessel put a hand on his gently. He withdrew his hand as quickly as he put it down; The subtle gesture of (your name)'s hand on his shoulder made his heart skip a beat.
(your name) pulled his hand away and rubbed his neck a little "didn't mean to put my hand on your shoulder for that long." (your name) gave Vessel a warm smile "anyway, was there anything you wanted to talk about?" Oh goodness, was his voice so nice to listen to. He shook his head "no, i don't really have anything to talk about." Vessel took a glance at the man that sat across from him, trying to not make it obvious. "What? Is there something on my face or..?" (your name) smiled softly and Vessel was embarrassed. "No, No, there isn't." Vessel took the man's face into his memory. "Alright, as long as you're sure. Oh! I'm sure you're thirsty or something, I'll be back." (your name) got up and went to grab something for the two of them. Vessel was left with his own thoughts, He tried to focus on the positive; He could hear Sleep in the back of his mind whispering horrible things that flocked and clung to the small hope he had for (your name) to be different then Her. He so desperately needed him, wanted him to be different. That's when (your name) had settled back but next to him this time. He put the two drinks onto the small black wooden coffee table, the glass cups had made a 'clink' sound as they were carefully set onto the table.
"Thank you again, for letting me talk to you." He grabbed his cup and took a sip from his cup. "No,No Thank you for letting me ramble about things! i appreciate it a lot more than you think." (your name)'s voice became softer than his usual tone of voice. And Vessel drank up the softness of his voice "Especially, when you're here with me, i like being around you Vessel, Thank you for listening to me. i'll listen to you whenever you need, swear it." His voice was so tender, so soft, so genuine. But he couldn't open up. Not after Her, not again. "Thank you. I appreciate it as well." Vessel's heart had skipped a beat when he said "i like being around you Vessel." His heart wanted to go to him, his heart skipped a beat everytime he heard his name or just the mention of him. Vessel gave him a smile the best his mask could show "I should, get going." He started getting up before (your name) grabbed his wrist gently. "I— Please stay." (your name) pulled his hand away "Please. I like your company. please stay with me for a little while." (your name) looked away, his ears and face flushing a soft tint of pink.
