    Vander grimaces when he notices that his husband is awake, groggily squinting at him, hands idly rubbing his belly where Vander’s sure the baby is kicking at Silco’s insides. So much for peace, Vander laments.

    “They keepin’ you awake, Sil?” Vander whispers, voice laced with much more sympathy than Silco will likely tolerate.

     

    Or, Silco can’t sleep… but it’s not just because of the baby.
