Summary
As a lesser son of one of the ruling houses on his homeworld, Gong Jun is content to spend his time far away from glittering palaces and high society. But when his cousin unexpectedly dies, he's forced to step into his role as heir - including an arranged marriage meant to solidify an interplanetary treaty.
Following a series of scandals, Zhehan is faced with a choice of exile or a political marriage. He's seen the holos of his intended and decides to take his chances with this Gong Jun. But once he arrives, Zhehan's new husband seems to not only be uninterested in getting to know him better, but also treats Zhehan with suspicion at best, disdain at worst.
Then people start shooting at them.
Gong Jun and Zhehan will have to work together to navigate the tangle of politics and hatred that threaten them. Trust slowly grows, as does their undeniable attraction. But both men will have to lay down more than just their closely held secrets if they're to survive.
