another sour expression hits the face of hua cheng. uninterested as he was, his disdain became obvious. everyone, well he xuan and his "boyfriend" shi qingxuan, sees him in that same expression for the past 4 months!
it was frustrating. when the loud beta saw his for the first few weeks he was already pissed but he xuan stopped him, not wanting debt to pile up. well! qingxuan had enough.
"hey! lonely alpha boy! look are you upset because your xie-gege won't notice you or even contact you?" of course the alpha's face darkened glaring straight into the xuan couple.
qingxuan, "why don't you approach him instead. heck even stalk him like in high school! stop being a wimp will ya'?"
indifference hits hua cheng. anger was still present but it was at himself, it was his thought of making his bestfriend uncomfortable.
that thought still haunted him. the next thing he remembered after his rut was xie lian lying in his bed, with his own manhood still inside the older. of course! it horrified him. he liked to tease xie lian; not to the point where he made the other uncomfortable—and he took it to another level. he remembered the couple of "sorry's" he said to xie lian despite the other brushing it and giving him a smile.
for once, he accepted the apology. and tried his best to live not letting that action get to the best of him.
yet—it seems like xie lian is staying away from him!
shameless as he was, he tried to approach xie lian only to stopped by mu qing and feng xin, even to the point where he thought xie lian was avoiding him!
of course, being the devoted lover he was. he tried to follow xie lian's wants from him and did as he wished.
he loved Xie Lian so so much.
his heart beated so much for xie lian, as all his heart, soul and will seemed to own to the older. so when he followed xie lian's wishes, he was—empty, hollow and uninterested.
as if he realized how he was nothing without xie lian.
he realized how boring and dull his life is. he realized how much he wanted to get involved with xie lian but stopped in order to follow him. until now.
to his surprise qingxuan, yes only qingxuan, brought him to a cafe. yes, a 3 star looking cafe from hua cheng's perspective.
it was spacious. maybe because of the number of customers to be seen faintly or white as a theme color, either way hua cheng found it cozy. knowing xie lian' was broke, he was satisfied that mu qing or feng xin bought him to a nice cafe—
but of course, if he was with xie lian instead, he could have brought him to a better place. xie lian deserves the best!
"how did you know gege's going to this place?" hua cheng was indifferent but he was curious.
the beta saw this—all of it and smirked. "he asked me directly if I wanna come. I said no cause well yeah... I wanna drag you here."
oh my god. he was so noisy.
"gege already implied that I'm no longer a part of his life. so why stay?"
qingxuan's face turned intimidated yet he rolled his eyes. this idiot and his insecurities getting to him, "—yet you want to see your xie-gege?"
hua cheng stopped his mouth movement. his speech stuttering. he wanted too—but xie lian did not want too!
"hmph. I'll be leaving. you stay here."
the beta was not having it! "ah come on chengzu! stay here, just give him a glance and leave after that? it's that easy!"
hua cheng wasn't staying. qingxuan did not convince him. the beta was frustrated! All his hard work will not be placed aside. this was the perfect time, perfect date. he will not lose this chance! even if his boyfriend get more debt, qingxuan wouldn't mind if it was for xie lian!
"come on! why don't you wanna stay?"
this continued for a while.
Until—"qingxuan! i thought you couldn't come?"
hua Cheng freezes.
qingxuan smiles. hooray for me! 1 for lady wind master and 0 for hua chengzu!
that voice focused on qingxuan. he wore thin white clothing, and comfy black pants. his clothing was simple yet his soft look made it a highlight.
hua cheng avoided xie lian. and xie lian didn't notice who qingxuan was with until the beta started, "ey! hua chengzu say hi to your gege!"
the alpha did not have any choice and finally faced xie lian. once their gazes meet, an awkward air of unspoken silence hits them. for hua cheng, it was to speak and the fact that he made his gege uncomfy with his presence only.
"hi again gege!" he looked away at Xie Lian before adding, "it's been awhile—"
hua cheng saw it.
xie lian clutches into his belly instinctively. Before looking at hua cheng with cute, bashful eyes. "hi again san lang. it's been a awhile too."
hua cheng understands the more he sees, his face turning into disdain. his self-hatred seeming to espace him. he saw a connection, that little thing—he knew it was his.
the air turned more sour. to the point where silence was normal. the silence was painful for hua cheng but he knew Xie Lian endured it worse.
xie lian was strong. of course! how could he have saved hua cheng if he wasn't strong! hua cheng admired him and that quality of his.
"qingxuan." xie lian was the one who broke it. "i'll be moving to another table.. it seems like my presence isn't wanted." he said the last words with almost silence but hua cheng hears it anyways. his heart bore pain yet he knew Xie Lian was more hurt.
then!—
hua cheng sees this as a turning point. He calls for Xie Lian! "gege! wait... can you please stay."
his peach blosson eye softened. as he formed a small painful smile. "Of c-course."
the smile xie lian gave saved his life! in that simple gesture that made xie lian "xie lian" the alpha's insecurities disappeared!
then—he realized again!
xie lian was giving out a painful smile yet he agreed to stay at least for his san lang. he didn't realize the older's response as he was too focused in xie lian, not what he was saying.
he was ever beautiful. his face touching the golden look that he knows he does not deserve. heck, everything about xie lian is worth looking at. even at the adorable little bump in his abdomen area, it made him soft that xie lian had something that was in a way—him.
going back to the response: of course, the younger was touched. if xie lian could sacrifice his something for him, hua cheng would do it too! double it even!
he gave a small smile. "g-gege. thanks."
xie lian gave an even more brighter smile. Something that was genuine and not done to hide his pain. hua cheng was relieved.
"I really need to talk to you...gege—"
"san lang—"
both said this at the same time. their gazes meeting the other.
"alright lover alpha boy—" qingxuan started.
"don't call me that." threatened hua cheng, his glare intensifying.
"—I'll be taking my leave. go make things right, if not for me then at least to your expecting lover. well, babushh!!"
xie lian did not know whether to laugh or cry. he waved his goodbye to one of his closest friends and smiled sweetly.
of course the reality of his situation came back to him. as he and hua cheng were together in their own presence. it was awkward, xie lian figures but he's been in much more worse situation so he brushed it off and once again offered hua cheng a small smile.
typical Xie Lian style.
"san lang, I'll go first.. lets talk somewhere else. just not.....here."
hua cheng immediately nods and places himself out of his seat, pushing it before accompanying the expecting omega. xie lian softens at his action, no longer clutching his belly but all subconsciously, when hua cheng helped him. it made the alpha soft when xie lian was becoming comfortable with him.
despite showing a smile to hua cheng, he knew that xie lian was clutching towards his belly unconsciously, giving the conclusion that he was indeed uncomfortable with the situation and forced himself into it. hua cheng figured, he knows xie Llan better than anyone else, the former wished that the latter would take care of himself better.
"thanks." his voice was soft, and slow. something that made hua cheng stop to his tracks. after months of not hearing anything from the other, it made the alpha missed everything about Xie Lian. and these simple "thanks" triggered it—alongside with the smiles xie lian has shown.
hua cheng guides xie lian to his car. At first, just a simple walk with each other caused intense awkwardness! hua cheng was confident in his—well anything he does, so when he found himself having a hard time in simply walking he got a bit upset. xie lian on the other hand, really found it awkward but decided to not mind it, thinking he experienced something much much worse... so he relaxed despite the intense awkward walking session.
the other noticed this and decided to follow his steps. causing the simple walk to be at least peaceful.
once inside the vehicle, Xie Lian starts, "Where do you want to go?"
he presses his hands on the vehicle's breaks... unsure of himself either. "I don't know either gege..."
xie lian, out of all the reactions he could have released, laughed!
it took the alpha by surprise. "I was the one who asked to talk somewhere else... yet I don't know where is that 'somewhere else' either."
"gege is silly." snickered hua cheng in a funny tone. xie lian laughed even more, releasing tension from the both of them. xie lian with a soft voice, "mn. this gege of yours is silly... how about you little one, will you be silly like your papa?"
"your papa..." blurted hua cheng. fuck. it was so adorable, his gege talking to their child like that. it once again made his insecurities woe away. he glanced at xie lian, he saw the other clutching his stomach softly, xie lian's face softening the more the time comes.
struck. hua cheng was struck.
"gege is silly, so the— our little one would be also silly... like gege."
xie lian stops from his tracks and look at hua cheng with widened and adorable eyes. mouth forming a gape, before blurting, "our?"
"mn. ours." he didn't let xie lian say anything about the child being his but he took responsibility. his devotion taking all over him.
their conversations became more broad, about everything they could think of. Just to have a convo.
ariving at xie lian's apartment, he looked at hua cheng first. his eyes pleading something. "san lang..."
"what is it gege?"
xie lian, "before we enter, don't make any noise or release too much of your smell. I don't want feng xin and mu qing to know you're here."
hua cheng, as much he hated those two idiot of a "secret" couple, complied to his gege. knowing that abandoning xie lian in his fragile state was in equal to what those two did to him. after he saw xie lian's figure at the cafe, he immediately knew why feng xin, mu qing especially glared at him.
"alright." he said in a smirking manner. causing xie lian to turn red.
they arrived at xie lian's apartment. the other felt home, the white cozy aesthetic that the apartment's front door gave him comfort and peace. of course, when Xie Lian opened the door, he was snapped back to reality.
instinctively, hua cheng felt as if the place belonged to him. his moves intuitively as he lands himself to xie lian's small couch. They both sat.
"where too even begin...." xie lian said to himself. "san lang, this little one I'm carrying. it's yours."
hua cheng felt something, despite
accepting the child of xie lian without confirmation, hearing it come out of xie lian was different. "a-ah.. I see."
"san lang... I'm really happy that you took responsibility of our child despite not me confirming anything... I- it really means a lot to me." said xie lian with a soft voice, his smile widening as the time progresses.
xie lian saw hua cheng's eyes softened with his confirmation of their child. he was taken by surprise. the next moment the younger looked at him with worried eyes!
he didn't understand why? why the sudden change from soft to worried? xie lian was confused. the alpha even looked worried the time comes!
"gege!" hua cheng ran towards him, his face closer to xie lian, which took the omega by surprise!
he was—wiping xie lian's tears.
"was I-i crying? oh! how silly this gege is... I didn't know I cried in the first place."
hua cheng was surprised by this and replied, "you were crying indeed... but why were you crying gege? will you take the risk and tell this san ang?"
"I-" xie lian started. "I thought you wouldn't accept my child."
"o ur child gege."
this moment, the omega starts to bawl out tears. Immediately when hua cheng sees the others fragile state—he immediately wrapped his hands in his carrying lover.
"why would you think... I wouldn't accept our child?"
xie lian removed his presence from the alpha and landed himself on hua cheng's shoulder. "it's that... the moment you woke up after our night together—" his face turned red.
"—I thought you regretted it. when you looked at me in disgust and disdain and apologized to me—I was really hurt." hua cheng widened his eyes. he looked at his gege with his face of regret.
he continued, "s-so when I realized I'm carrying this little one. I immediately thought—you regretted it, so you wouldn't want to do anything with our child."
hua cheng understood well. it was because of his stupid insecurity and his devotion that caused this mess!
"I didn't regret it. even if I did, gege it's our child—I should take responsibility."
xie lian continued, "that is why! If san lang only wants to take responsibility—it's going to hurt me, its like you only took my son because you pitied me not because of my feelings, I-i understand that you don't like me back but it hurts for me. fuck it feels like my feelings are being made fun of."
hua cheng eyes widened, "gege? what feelings?"
xie lian was in his fragile state. So he was reduced to honesty. "my feelings for you san lang. I understand that you don't return it back—"
the revelation was finally placed upon xie lian! "gege. I love you too."
that simple I love you changed the omega's thoughts. he—was soo oblivious! he could have saved himself from a lot of heartache if he would have been...honest with his thoughts!
he was stupid. and now regrets lingered his mind—but now he was relieved.
for once he widely smiled and looked at his san lang—before he'd head in and tried for a smooch! before hua cheng could realize. xie lian was kissing him.
it was soft and was filled with passion. After the vanilla kiss, xie lian removed his lips from the other and proceeded to deepen the passionate exchange of feelings. the younger accepted it and continued to let him abuse his lips—it's gege's in the first place.
more exchange of kisses were exchange. but inhaling oxygen was important, so after a long smooch—they both separated their lips. xie lian wanted more!
he wasn't all embarrassed about it. in fact, he made hua cheng look at him in surprise when he took advantage.
"I didn't know gege was such a passionate kisser!"
xie lian was flustered. "you're always the shameless san lang! and blame it on you that—that was my first kiss!"
it was a good laughter moment.
"so we both....are a thing now?"
xie lian, "Mn!"
"so that makes us—" xie lian looked at him with bashful eyes, his smile directed at hua heng lips. as if another smooch can indicate something.
where did my beautiful strong maiden go? hua cheng thought to himself seeing no shame in the other's face as xie lian advanced for another kiss. he truly became shameless.
it's either because of his shameless personality himself. or xie lian's loneliness with his lover to accompany him getting to the best of him.
either way, he also wanted to kiss his gege—after all 4 months of separation did some shit to him too!
so he also heads towards Xie Lian to leave a kiss.
"GO GET A ROOM!" it was a random outburst. it completely shocked both reunited lovers!
feng xin and mu qing stood before the door. their eyes scrunched in disgust. especially when they see—they see that bastard who left xie lian when he needed his alpha the most!
mu qing started, "xie lian, why are almost kissing a bastard who left you?"
"mu qing, why are you in a secret relationship with someone who you hate the most?" hua cheng remarked.
"y-you!"
"me?"
mu qing rolls his eyes as he communicates with feng xin through his eyes.
the tan man, on the other hand didn't glanced at his companion. instead, he looked at hua cheng coldly. he was indeed scary! when feng xin is upset, he swears and fights directly—but his silence as anger was also scary.
"what's with the angry look feng xin lover boy?"
his glare intensified.
xie lian didn't know whether to laugh or cry. So in order to stop them, all of them, he started, "feng xin, mu qing—stop. there was a misunderstanding between me and san lang besides its all over now. We're both in a relationship now."
the alpha throw his tongue in his mouth. Insulting those two idiots.
"and you—san lang. don't insult these two."
hua cheng gives a fake pout and tries to convince xie lian, "okay gege."
silence broke from the 3. their glares did not stop and it made the tension stronger. of course being xie lian, he pretended to be oblivious, his head predicting (hopefully) that these 3 would not start a ruckus. or he'll let them pay!
literally this time.
this time, Xie Lian started, "what should I name this little one?"
everyone looked toward the expecting omega, their gazes softening. of course hua cheng with his eyes sparkling was the most obvious. despite realizing the truth about his fatherhood this day—he was fast to give name suggestions!
before he could even voice his thoughts out, xie lian smiled at him, the smile getting bigger whilst both lovers stared at each other.
there was something within that smile that told something about xie Llan's thoughts. of course hua cheng, being the devoted and loyal boyfriend he is—complied.
"alright gege, we'll name him once the time comes."
this confused feng xin and mu qing.
"thanks, san lang."
hua cheng glanced at xie lian and nodded his head, accepting his thanks.
once the whole pregnancy issue came to hua cheng himself, he immediately wanted them, Xie Lian and him, to live one the same roof basically. xie lian was expecting so the other did not want to be separated from him.
xie lian's apartment was in no right condition. as much as he wanted to let hua cheng stay in his place—it was a bit shabby and it was not suited for the unborn child. it could handle 1 person but a family, xie lian liked to call their relationship with their future child a "family", it was all too much so Hua Cheng's place, which was bigger and spacious, was a better home for both of them.
of course, moving in was easier said than done. With hua cheng's help it only took them at least 4 days in packing up. payment however was another problem—ever since he got pregnant his apartment fees grew as the month passed, basically he cannot move to another place without paying for his debt. doing his multiple part time jobs became impossible due to his condition creating this mess.
feng xin and mu qing offered to pay the debt for him with their own reasons but Xie Lian being himself refused their offer, telling them a sorry and a smile with thanks for their kindness.
this caused a fight. hua cheng was adamant on paying his debt without any return.
xie lian was convinced this was his problem. he did not need any help.
hua cheng used, "If you let me pay, I'll cuddle you up all night long." as a tactic—he knows xie lian loves cuddles so he used this to his advantage.
"san lang, no fair! you know I can't resist cuddles especially from you, hmmph! fine you pay, promise me you'll cuddle me all night long."
that was easy. hua cheng thought and he was relieved.
moving out was almost complete. only those two were the ones missing.
"awww... mu qing! don't feel sad about me leaving."
mu qing, "who said we're sad that you're leaving. now hurry and leave...."
xie lian only gave him a smile, "you and feng xin can visit me anytime! i'll kick san lang's ass if he does something stupid to both of you."
terrified. the three were mortified! how can xie lian say something like that while smiling?!
he was a total monster. both Xianle trio exception of xie lian glared at hua cheng for the influence he landed on the pure maiden xie lian.
to say the least hua cheng was speechless. his gege was feisty! he was much in love and is ready for the company of their future unexpected child.
however that was for another time because right now -- hua cheng desired to give xie lian cuddles, kisses and affection.
