Enid’s breath trembled as she gently caressed her lover’s face.
Having been weeks since her last kiss, she wanted this one to go without issue. Ajax was wonderful, but not who she wanted. His hot breath against her skin and less than gentle touch made her wolfish nature reveal itself.
She couldn’t let the same happen to Wednesday.
But with fate in all its cruelty, her body rejected her pleas and claws and teeth tumbled out.
“Enid, that was so barbaric and violent of you.”
She shut her eyes, waiting for an anger that would never come.
“Do it again.”
