Chapter Text
“I wish to transcend the rules of this world,” a powerful, strong, and mysterious voice declared to the dark night sky. The ominous figure, cloaked in moonlight, from which the formidable voice came was clothed in robes of scarlet and gold, with special swirl patterns sown in the jewel-adorned fabric. In his arms, a beautiful women came to view, looking at the same starry sky he was.
She looked fondly upon the man, as his wise gaze searched the sea of stars. Her dark blue eyes, as deep as the ocean’s depths, glimmered in the dark, foreseeing all there was to know. Her pink hair and feathery light wings on her back hung over the chair.
Surrounded, they were, by a desert oasis of ever flourishing greenery, resting on a single throne covered with purple flowers. On the table was wine, in two ornately decorated ceramics, made only with only the sweetest pomegranates.
"You seek but to chain the winds. Upon the tombstone of divinity shall humanity become the god of gods.” She let out a soft chuckle, “Such a carefree dream was certain to be unmade. In ruins where lies are sundered, humanity will become the king of kings.”
She cupped the man’s face with rosy fingers and he held it close in admiration. She looked deep unto the man’s aching heart and ambitious eyes. Then she whispered softly to him, the words almost falling silent upon his ears:
“I shall keep your secrets on account of the feelings my heart holds for you and the Lord of Wisdom. I shall fashion you a bridge to allow you to slake your deepest wants. But you must fear not the crystalline sapphire nail..
I will deliver you unto higher knowledge. But.. as I have warned, you are fated to lose much in this exchange.”
To this, the woman paused with a sad look in her eyes.
“Nevertheless, hide my lesson in your heart. Remember the punishment that once was inflicted on the fallen envoys of heaven.
And know this: if there is to be hope in this world, it will be found kindling within mortals most ordinary."
The scene shifted. No longer were they sitting in the chairs, but rather a pool of aquamarine water in the middle of the desert. The woman, still in his arms, was severely wounded and gushing water. Tears fell over into her waters as she, still cupping is his face, continued to bleed out into a mini oasis of her own making. The desert winds howled as man became more & more distressed. She smiled at him. But why? Why was she smiling at a time like this?
“Please, don’t leave me,” the man begged, tears rolling down his own face. He put a hand over own.
“I won’t,” She put her soft hand around his neck, pulling him into an action unthinkable. Their lips touched and their their tongues intertwined into a sweet, but bitter last kiss. It was intended to be calming, but instead, it filled him with great woe and regret.
“Because I know.. I’ll live on in your memories,” she finished.
“Alas, I think.. I finally understand what you meant,” she choked out. Her final words fell deaf upon his ears.
