Chapter Text
Three weeks till school starts up again. Katsuki Bakugo laid on his bed scrolling through social media.
New App: Pear'd ;an LGBT+ Dating and chatting app
Katsuki hesitantly clicked on the link. He doesn't know why he did he's not gay. It was just curiosity he tells himself, and who couldn't use new friends. He anxiously watches the download symbol till it finished and is replaces with an open button. He hesitantly presses it and is taken in to the app. He's prompted with a log-in page. He enter the required field and is taking to the main screen. He's meet with a picture a shirtless guy. 'Could he have anymore class' Katsuki thinks. He swipes the man away and does that for the next twenty guys that show up on his screen. He knew this was pointless he wasn't into guys and this stupid app wasn't going to change that.
Just as he was about to exit out the app a pop up appeared.
Midoriya Izuku has matched you
Katsuki's heart stops. He was never supposed to match with anybody. He maybe accidently swiped right on him but if he just deactivates the account know he'll never have to think about it again. But for whatever reason he couldn't get himself to remove the boy that matched with him and delete the account. Instead he clicks on the boys profile.
Name: Midoriya Izuku
Age: 17
Looking for: Something Casual
Katsuki stared at the screen. Don't get him wrong the guy on the screen was objectively beautiful but that's just a fact not something that has to do with his sexuality. He spend a few minutes looking over the boys profile. Not that he's going to chat with him he just wanted to see. Suddenly a notification popped up on the screen.
Midoriya: Hiya stranger! you've been looking at my profile a while, like what you see ;)
Katsuki threw his phone across the room. 'What type of app doesn't say someone can see you looking at their profile' Katsuki mentally cursed the app. After a few minutes of collecting himself Katsuki slowly walked over to his phone. In what Katsuki would tell you later was a moment of weakness he decided to respond to the message.
Unknown: Hey sorry about that
Midoriya: No worries! I get it there's a lot of creeps on this site
Unknown: Tell me about it.
Unknown: You're not some creep old man pretending to be 17 right.
Midoriya: HAHA no! I'm actually 17
Midoriya: What about you? No name or age huh
Katsuki hadn't put his name or age on there because he didn't want it being traced back to him. He contemplated adding his name but the thought of someone he knows finding his profile he couldn't risk it. He simply opted for telling the boy a fake name.
Unknown: My name is Hiroshi I'm 18
Midoriya: Oh that's a great name
Midoriya changed 'Unknown' name to 'Hiro'
Hiro: So why are you on this app?
Midoriya: I just want to chat with LGBT+ people my age
Midoriya: I had to leave my school last year because of the homophobia and bullying
Hiro: I'm sorry to hear that
Hiro: I'm pretty new to this whole LGBT stuff
Midoriya: That's fine it's practically what the app is for
Midoriya: so how did you start to think you might be gay
Midoriya: Sorry if that was a bit to forward :/
Katsuki just tossed his phone his bed. He was not gay, why the hell would that guy even ask that. Katsuki was just on the app to ease his curiosity, nothing more. There was no chance in hell he'd even be slightly interested in a guy much less some rando on the internet who wanted his whole back story. He couldn't understand why he was so pissed off.
Katsuki looked at the clock on his nightstand that read: 7:57. 'It's not that late' he told himself as he got out of bed and gathered a his gym bag and shoes. Katsuki made his way down stairs hoping none of his parents would be around. And just to his luck his mother was standing in the kitchen.
"Hag I'm heading to the gym." He told her taking his car keys of the counter
"Katsuki dinners about ready." his mother Mistuki tried to tell him but he was already out the door
The drive to the gym was short but peaceful. Katsuki rolled the window down and played some relaxing music. It was a time for him to clear his head. Katsuki was still confused as to why he had such a big reaction to barley anything. The guy had barley insinuated Katsuki was gay. It didn't matter now Katsuki was at the gym now doing his normal routine. Though hitting a bit harder than he normally would've. After half an hour of working out Katsuki's phone dinged signaling a message. He hesitantly reached for the phone to look at it. Katsuki was silently praying it was that Midoriya guy, since he had just calmed down. Upon actually looking at the phone Katsuki realized it was not from Midoriya but from his last fling
Girl w/ bob: Hey Kitty '3' wanna come over
Katsuki read over the message twice and then simply throw his phone on the nearest bench. 'Why the hell can this girl not take a hint?' He wondered. This so called girl with a bob had been Katsuki's longest fling. They lasted a whopping month. Katsuki thought the girl would get the hint he wasn't interested anymore if he ghosted her. So he did he hadn't opened a since message from her all summer. Instead of getting worked up about it Katsuki went on with his work out.
Five minutes another ding came from his phone. Katsuki threw the weights that he was holding down and stomped over to where the phone was on the bench.
"I swear to god this bitch can get the fucking-"
Katsuki soon realized the message had not been from the girl but from the guy who caused him come to the gym in the first place. Katsuki let out a shaky breath before looking at the message. He internally cursed himself for bring so nervous over a stupid text from a boy
Midoriya: My greatest apologies for making you uncomfortable (っ ͡ᵔ ᴗ ͡ᵔ)っ🎔
Midoriya: I would love to keep talking to you
Katsuki didn't know why he felt so inclined to respond. He didn't owe that boy anything yet he couldn't stand to see the boy so distraught. So against he better judgement he answered.
Hiro: What ever shitty nerd, just don't ask personal shit like that again
Midoriya: Omg thank you for responding!
Midoriya: Of course I'll never ask anything like that again
