Work Text:

"Now that the Oracle of Maia has been performed," Ginji Sasaki- no, Prince Taurus of the Masked Circle- intoned, "the wheel of fate has been set in motion. Our plans cannot be stop-"

Prince Taurus jumped aside with a shout as fire erupted where he had just been standing. He looked around, frantic as he searched for his assailant. He found it above, where King Leo, the Masked Circle's second-in-command, was perched on a catwalk.

"You fool," King Leo boomed, pointing down at Prince Taurus. "The Oracle of Maia has not been performed at all! You've failed!"

"...wh-what?" Even though his face was masked, Prince Taurus' confusion was evident. "But I lured these stupid girls into performing the song. She sang the bit in English that you gave me! What the hell more do you want, King Leo?"

King Leo disappeared from the catwalk in a pillar of flame and reappeared next to Prince Taurus, grabbing the man by his jacket collar and shaking him. "It's 'The beat of the Maian Maiden also ceases', not 'The bead of theming made in all social eases!' What the hell is 'all social eases' even supposed to mean?"

"What are you yelling at me for? The brat is the one who messed it up!"

"Yeah, but you're the one who was supposed to be spearheading this part of the prophecy!" King Leo kept on shaking Prince Taurus, as though that was all that was keeping him from immolating his own ally in a pillar of flame. "You said you had this, that you knew aaaaall about idols. It'd be eeeasy to get people to hang their dreams on stupid song and dance bullshit, and that Master Joker and I needn't concern ourselves with the matter. Now we have to just hope that the rest of the Oracle of Maia being delivered correctly is enough to make up for some 'bead of theming' nonsense!"

"Uh," Lisa said, staring down the two masked men. "I mean, I told you that I didn't speak English!"

"Hey," Eikichi whispered, elbowing Tatsuya, "did- did Lisa just avert the apocalypse by accident?"
