Chapter Text
Y/N had Emrys in her lap--like she had for the past three days--and Althea was playing with Carlisle and her new familiar, Ferra. She was happy to be back at the Cullen house, having been unable to because of the events of the past two weeks. But it wasn't time to worry about the last two weeks. They were over, things had changed. Everything would be fine.
All the vampires in the room turned their heads when they heard something from another room. When Althea smiled over her mother, a big toothy grin that let her know that Bella had woken.
She stood and ran over to Y/N. "Auntie Bella's awake!" she exclaimed quietly. You smiled and nodded, "Yes, she is."
"Can we go see her?"
From another part of the room, Jasper spoke while he pet Freya, "Let's give her a little bit of time before we parade her with hugs."
Althea was perfectly fine with that. Bella and Edward left, taking her to feed before she met her daughter--who was currently with a visiting Romina. Y/N had informed her of Emrys' return and Renesmee's birth and she had to come and see.
"This will be wonderful for the grimoires," she said, "We can span our knowledge of vampires to further help."
Y/N was happy to have Romina over, even if it was only for a couple of days. So they all waited for the newbie's return. As they heard her coming into the house, they all stood, Rosalie holding Renesmee once again.
Y/N stood with Jasper and their children and Freya, smiles on their faces when they saw Bella. Althea couldn't contain her excitement as she rushed over and hugged Bella's legs, "Hi, Auntie Bella!"
She smiled, a little awkwardly, "Hey, Thea."
She let go and let her continue her walk through the family that gave her warm welcomes. "Someone's been waiting to meet you," Carlisle said with a smile.
"Rose," Edward spoke, catching her attention. Rosalie, holding Renesmee, turned to face them, Bella finally saw Renesmee, who looked a few months old already. A factor that had even stumped Y/N for a while. She grew a lot quicker than Althea first had.
Rosalie handed over Renesmee to Bella. She tenderly touched Bella's face, a small hand on her cheek as she showed her a vision. Her gift that had come out so early.
It had taken Althea a while to develop her gift, it took Emrys time as well. It was why Tristan let his overpowering magic consume him. Emrys' gift was to be able to make someone feel so much of one emotion, or too little of it, that it overwhelmed them.
He had singled out Tristan's sorrow and stripped him of any other emotion, magnifying it to overwhelm and consume him. It was a terrifying gift, but also a great one.
"What was that?" Bella asked, seemingly breathless--despite her inability to be breathless.
"She showed you the first memory she has of you," Edward explained.
"Showed me? How?"
"How do I hear thoughts? How does Alice see the future? She's gifted." Bella's eyes were glued to her child. Y/N recognized that look as the same one she'd given Emrys and Althea the days they were born. Bella then noticed how much older Renesmee looked for a new born baby. "I've only been out for three days?"
"Her growth rate is unprecedented," Carlisle explained.
As Bella held onto Renesmee, Jacob started to act protective as he reached for her. "All right. That's enough experimenting for one day."
Edward lightly scolded, "Jacob. She's doing great."
"Yeah. Let's not push it though."
"What's your problem?" Bella asked, confusion and frustration seeping into her at his strange behavior.
Rosalie smirked, "Oh. Do tell her, Jacob."
"This should be good," Emmett said, a smirk on his own face as he folded his arms.
"Hold on a second," Edward muttered as he took Renesmee from her. Bella stared daggers at Jacob as he slowly backed away.
"Bella... Look, it's a wolf thing," he said.
Bella spat at him, "What's a wolf thing?"
Y/N turned and whispered to Jasper, her own small smirk on her face at the situation, "He stole my line."
He chuckled quietly to her, whispering back, "I'll kick his ass later." He kissed the side of her forehead and she laughed silently, "I'll get out my camera." Althea giggled as she listened.
From where she was standing, Romina muttered to them with a laugh, "You need to be more mature." She turned to face the coven mother and said, "You're laughing, too." Romina shook her head with a sigh and a smile.
Jacob momentarily shot a look at Y/N and she shrugged. "Um... You know we have no control over it. We can't choose who it happens with-and it doesn't mean what you think, Bella. I promise."
Bella hissed, "Take Renesmee out of the room." Bella started to look very angry as she continued to advance on Jacob. Edward came up behind her and touched her shoulder.
She told him, "Edward, don't touch me right now. I don't want to hurt you." Edward pulled his hand away, shooting an amused look at Jacob, who looked like he was going to start sweating.
Bella harshly gripped Jacob's shirt and threw him out of the house, furious with him. He stumbled outside and everyone made their way out to follow. They all just stood there as they watched, all amused by the scene with the exception of Celene, Esme, and Carlisle who were quite worried.
"You imprinted on my daughter?!" Bella exclaimed.
"It wasn't my choice!" Jacob argued.
"She's a baby!"
"It's not like that! You think Edward would let me live if it was?!"
"I'm still debating it," Edward muttered.
"I've held her once! One time, Jacob! And already you think that you have some moronic wolfy claim on her?" she seethed, "She's mine!"
Bella suddenly struck Jacob hard in the face. Leah and Seth in their wolf forms arrived on the scene, Charlie and Levi in tow with their familiars as they joined everyone else. While Levi was amused, Charlie was concerned.
"It's fine, Leah."
Freya whispered over to Y/N, "Aren't most of our witches imprintees?"
"Yeah."
"And Seth imprinted on Charlie when she was, like, eight?"
"Yeah, but Seth wasn't a full grown adult and they're literally best friends. Jacob's just weird about it," Y/N explained. Freya nodded her head.
Carlisle muttered over to her, "You probably shouldn't encourage this..."
She nodded a little, hiding her smile that she gave to Jasper and Romina. Charlie asked, "What's going on?"
"Bella's mad because Jacob imprinted on Renesmee. He's being weird about it, so he kind of deserves it," Y/N explained.
Esme turned to her then, "Y/N, behave."
"Sorry, Esme."
"You're going to stay away from her," Bella ordered Jacob as everyone's attention turned back to them.
"You know I can't do that."
Bella punched Jacob hard in the stomach and he fell down. Esme looked over to Edward, worry written all over her face, "Stop her, Edward."
Edward glanced at her, "He said it's fine. She's amazing, right?"
"Do you remember how much you wanted to be around me three days ago?" Jacob asked, "That's gone now, right?"
Bella spoke, "Long gone."
"Because it was her. From the beginning it was Nessie who wanted me there."
"Nessie? You nicknamed my daughter after the Loch Ness monster?" she screamed. As Bella moved toward Jacob in anger, Seth attacked her, but Bella pushed him aside easily and he hit the tree before falling to the ground in pain. Charlie rushed over, ignoring everyone's protests. "Seth!" she exclaimed.
Jacob turned to him, "Seth, are you okay?" Seth whimpered in pain and Charlie moved his head into her lap, using her magic to heal his broken bones before it got worse by healing wrong. "Seth, I'm sorry," Bella told him.
Leah stood in front of them both and continued growling, angrier now that Bella had hurt her brother. "He'll be alright," Jacob turned to Bella again.
"Bella, you know me better than anyone. All I want is for Ness..." he stopped when he saw Bella get angry at the mention of the nickname. "...Renesmee to be safe. Happy. Look, nothing ever made sense before. You. Me. Any of it--and now I understand why. This was the reason."
Bella allowed herself to calm down enough to back off from him, still infuriated by the whole "wolf thing". Eventually she was able to turn and go back into the house. Carlisle went to Seth to see if he was alright. Charlie gave the okay as she confirmed that he was all healed up, thanks to her magic.
Back inside, Bella asked about Emrys and she gave a very brief summary of what she missed. Afterwards, the witches retired to their own home, Seth and Leah included as they hung out with their mates.

Y/N walked out of the Residence, walking over to Kristen, Anthony, Verity, and Eileen with their familiars. "Hey, guys. How's everything coming along?" she asked, checking up on them while they practiced.
Eileen smiled, "They're doing great."
She walked over to Alexandra, giving her a smile and stroking her head. She was a lot bigger now that she was getting proper care. She looked like a mare instead of a filly. "I'm glad," Y/N said.
She stayed for a while, helping them with their magic as they practiced. Now that things were back to relative normal, she was able to focus on her new coven members and advancing their magic.
When the sun started to hang low in the sky, she turned to everyone, "Let's get ready for the barbecue tonight. Mother Romina's leaving tomorrow in the morning."
They agreed and headed inside. It wasn't long before Levi arrived with Leah with some of the things from the Cullens that they needed. The barbecue started as soon as the fire was started by Anthony. Leah and Seth were joining the barbecue, along with some new members of Jacob's pack, Embry and Quill.
All of the witches, of course, took part in the barbecue. It was the first time they were all joined and happy in a while. A lot of things had happened and now, all was well.
Soon the Cullens, with the exception of Edward and Bella (of course) joined in as they sat around the fire and swapped stories with everyone.
One by one, everyone retired to bed or went back to the Cullens' place. Emrys was put to bed in his highly warded room, and Althea went to bed soon after (her room was also heavily warded). The familiars accompanied their witches until Y/N, Jasper, and Romina were the last ones awake.
Ronin flew down to Romina's shoulder as they sat around the fire that still burned with warlock magic. She pet his feathers softly as she smiled at her, "You have such a wonderful coven here. You're a wonderful leader."
She smiled at her, "Mostly thanks to you. You taught me my magic, made me a leader, and then gave me three friends to start a coven with. I wouldn't have been able to do it without your help, Mother."
She chuckled lightly, "Well, even so, you're a strong witch."
Jasper kissed Y/N's forehead. Romina spoke again, "And I noticed a few couples here."
"I only helped," Y/N started.
She nodded, "It seems all three of them found their partners. Then you have two wolf imprintees."
"Yeah," Y/N said, "I'm glad Mariah and Eileen finally got together. It's about time. I will say, I didn't expect Celene and Anthony but it was a happy turn out."
She had noticed during the barbecue that Celene and Anthony had hung out the entire time, laughing at each other's jokes and talking about magic. At some point, she had seen them kissing by the fire and it became quite obvious that they were together.
As for Mariah and Eileen, everyone had been dropping their hints since they first saw them hanging out all the time. They became an obvious couple after a while, but they never got together. It wasn't until their trip to Wyoming where they started to realize how perfect they were for each other. It was some time after that when they got together.
Y/N was happy for her coven. Finally, things were working out.
After a bit more talking, they all went to bed for the night. Y/N and Jasper checked up on their children before heading to their own rooms. They had to be sure, no matter how heavy those wardings were, they would always worry for their children.
Romina had left before sunrise the next morning to return to her coven in New Orleans. Everyone gave their goodbyes to her and Ronin as they left.
