Don’t blame me for falling

I was just a little boy

Don’t blame the drunk calling

Wasn’t ready for it all

High School Dance

Colourful lights flash around them as they sway to the upbeat music. The dancing does not match the genre of music playing, but neither Dean nor Castiel cares about it, they had never been the dancing kind.

“Give me a second, I’ll be back.” Castiel pulls away, Dean leaving his arms drop. “Don’t have too much fun without me.”

“I won’t, don’t worry.” Dean watches as his boyfriend retreats, bodies covering him. He hadn’t planned to come to this dance, and had never cared about school. He was always going to work in Bobby’s garage. But Castiel cared about it all, he wanted to come to the dance, so of course Dean would do anything to make him happy.

He leaves the dance floor, making his way to the bar, ordering himself a Pepsi Max.

“Dean Winchester, didn’t think I’d see you here.” The familiar voice of his ex, Crowley, behind him. “You never came to these things with me.”

“New me, I guess.” He shrugs, turning to the man. “What do you want, Crowley?”

“I wanted to see you.” Crowley walks closer to him. “I missed you, Squirrel.”

“I didn’t miss you.” Dean moves away. “Shouldn’t you be off, canoodling with Arthur?” The man he had cheated on him with.

“I realised I lost a diamond.” Crowley almost sounds sad. Something Dean ever remembers the Brit being. “Can I have a hug? For old times sake.”

“No.” Dean looks at him, moving to walk away but Crowley grabs his arm, turning him around and smashing his lips against his.

Dean’s eyes widen, and he pushes away, his eyes catching sight of Castiel, blue eyes full of betrayal.

Leave Me Alone

“Cas.” Dean pushes Crowley away, rushing to his boyfriend. “Cas it’s not what it looks like-“

“Don’t give me that excuse,” Castiel says, voice full of hurt. “I know what I saw. I always knew I was a rebound.”

“No Cas. You’ve never been a- a rebound.” Dean starts, reaching out to grab him. Castiel moving away.

“Don’t. I don’t want to hear it.” Castiel turns away. He must hear Dean’s footsteps following him. “Leave me alone!”

Dean stops, usually he wouldn’t give up so easily, but he can tell by Castiel’s voice that he doesn’t want him, and that he won’t listen.

Dean watches, his heart dropping as he watches Castiel leave, clear from the back of him that he’s crying. He looks at Crowley.

“Look what you’ve done!” He shouts. “You ruin everything!”

“Squirrel, I’m-“

“Leave me alone, Crowley. I don’t want to see you again.”

Cat Found

Castiel doesn’t answer his phone to Dean. He doesn’t go to school which is unlike Castiel. The boy never misses school, so he must be really hurt.

But Dean can’t help but feel hurt that Castiel didn’t let him speak. Didn’t let him explain what happened.

The school day is over, and Dean walks home alone, Sam going to a friend's house and he had left the car at home.

He’s surprised to see Castiel standing outside, his arm behind his back. “Cas? Not that I’m complaining or anything but what are you doing here?”

“I was an idiot.” He sheepishly smiles at Dean. “Crowley came by, explained what had happened. I should’ve listened to you, and trusted you.”

“It did look bad.” Dean agrees. “But surely you saw me push him away?”

“I probably did, but I was too focused on his lips on yours.” Castiel walks over, his free hand lifting to Dean’s cheek. “Can you forgive me?”

“Of course I forgive you.” Dean kisses him. “What’s behind your back?”

“Oh, I have a gift for you.” He pulls his hand out from behind him, a small cat held in his hand. “I found him, he looked lonely and his eyes were like yours, I named him Dean. I want you to keep him.”

“That’s sweet Cas, but two things.” Dean moves away slightly. “One, I can’t keep a cat with my name. And I’m allergic to cats.”

“Oh.” Castiel frowns.

“I mean, you could always keep him and I can visit him and you, but from afar.” Dean suggests. “He is cute, thank you. I love you Cas.”

“I love you too.”

I just hope you see me in a little better light

Do you think it’s easy, being of the jealous kind?

‘Cause I miss the shape of your lips

You’ll win, it’s just a trick

And this is it, so I’m sorry
