Chapter Text
“NO!” she cried, but it was too late. Her mother’s body had fallen to the floor. The body was being surrounded with a dark, rubious liquid.
She couldn’t believe it. Her legs felt weak. Every bone and muscle in her body felt as if it was turning to mush. Her ears were ringing. She felt as if she would fall over.
She stared in shock. She tried to move or scream but she couldn’t. She was frozen. She fell to her knees. A loud scream spilled from her mouth while tears drenched her face.
She sobbed for what felt like forever, gripping the dead corpse. The pain from her bloody knees didn't matter because she had just lost the only one she had left. She was now by herself. Alone in this treacherous world. Alone. Alone…
Alone. She woke up with a start. Panting, she wiped the sweat off her burning forehead. It was way too hot in there, but her mother wouldn't turn down the temperature because it was apparently "too cold." However, she wasn't worried about that. She was worried about the future. You see, she can see into the future with her dreams and she just decided to look at a day 3 months away. An average day has turned into the most horrible day ever. So many questions ran through her brain. But, the most important one, was the most difficult to answer: how did it all happen?
How did it all happen? she questioned again and again, trying to find the answer. She ran through her brain for a possible answer but it was just blank. No possible solution for the issue. Maybe it was-
"Sweetie, wake up. You have school today!"
Her train of thought stopped abruptly, realizing that she had things to do and places to be.
She got ready for school and went downstairs to eat breakfast. However, she only took a bite of her food. Her mother knew something was wrong so she asked her daughter. Instead of answering her, the girl hugged her mother tight as if she feared she´d die if she let go. Her mother was surprised but immediately hugged her back.
"You know you can talk to me about anything, right?"
Her daughter sighed.
"Yeah, I know."
"Okay, just making sure you know, Aria."
Screams. Screams of agony was all she heard. Scarlett fluid was over her body. The screams got louder and louder until she realized the screams were her own.
Her own tears drenched her face while she experienced the worst pain possible. Her head ached. Her heart ached. Her stomach ached. Every single bone and muscle in her body ached.
It was torture. It is torture. God, anyone or anything, just save her. Aria was suffering and nobody would save her. Nobody because she was all alone now,
all alone. Aria lifted her head from the desk. Her heavy eyelids struggled to open her eyes fully. She looked at the clock to see what time it was. 3:14. 1 more minute before she gets to go home. RING! The loud bell buzzed in her ears, irritating her. She scrambled out of her seat, desperate to go home. Aria grabbed her backpack and speed-walked out of her classroom.
The girl started walking home, phone in her hands. The phone was connected to earbuds which burst with loud music. Aria was crossing the road, the light green for the pedestrians. Suddenly, she saw her dead body run over by a car. Aria stopped immediately while a black car passed in a flash.
"Oh my god!"
The girl exclaimed in shock. She was about to be run over. Aria’s powers saved her. That meant her powers were getting stronger. Better. It was getting… better. Her mother told her this would happen. That eventually, she would start getting visions all the time and that they would be more accurate but she never said it would be happening this soon. Infact, she said quite the opposite.
Aria snapped out of her shocked daze and shook her head. She saw the car still in view and flipped them off. Aria got home safely but not before she had another creepy vision. However, it was more like a looping record in her head.
"Run, Aria. Run. Run. Run. Run… "
Then, there was a frightening scream. Although, some can argue it sounded like a scream of intense anger.
