Breaking News :

The Ministry of Magic has misplaced its Minister.
It has been confirmed by George Turnbull, spokesman for the Department of Magical Law Enforcement that, as of 3:00 pm this afternoon, Minister Hermione Granger has been officially listed as a missing person. Six years into her first term, which by all accounts has been an effective stint, Ms. Granger is not without her share of enemies.
Though there is no information publically available, an unauthorized spokesman from the DMLE Auror office has revealed there are no leads.
As with all missing person investigations, her family will be interviewed and hopefully eliminated as persons of interest.
I am sure my loyal readers are well aware of the bitter divorce Ms. Granger and Ronald Weasley suffered through just one year ago. After twenty years of marriage, two children, and a shared history as two parts of the Golden Trio that successfully beat Lord Voldemort in the last wizarding war of 1998, these two experienced quite a volatile dissolution. I expect the Aurors will be quite interested in speaking with the man who was himself an Auror for ten years before leaving to work with his brother George Weasley at Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes.
Coincidentally, the Head of the Auror Office, Harry Potter, the boy who lived and the leader of the Golden Trio will be the lead investigator on this case.

“How is it I am just now hearing about this through the Daily Prophet?” Minerva McGonagall slapped the newspaper down on Harry Potter’s desk.
“We’ve barely had time to get our feet under us, Minerva.” Harry weakly explained.
“Nonsense, Potter. You of all people would have been investigating before it became ‘official’. So..?”
“You aren’t family. We are not allowed to share information with non-family members. You know this.”
“Not family?” Minerva was incensed. “I am everything but. I have been her friend and confidant for more than half her life. And you give me rules?”
Harry stared hopelessly at Minerva attempting to stand firm. Finally, he gave in. “We don’t have anything. No one saw her leave her office. Nothing is amiss in her office or her home. Rose and Hugo haven’t heard from her since Sunday…” Glancing up to meet Minerva’s eyes he asked, “You haven’t heard from her recently, have you?”
“We had dinner two nights ago.”
“Did she say anything to you? Did she go off somewhere? Has she received any threats lately?”
“Nothing was off. She was eager to finish the week and enjoy a long weekend. Everything was completely normal.”
“You wouldn’t happen to have any theories, would you?”
“I would not be wasting time here if I did.” Minerva bit out through clenched teeth.
“We are doing what we can.”
“I know.” Minerva deflated. “I apologize. I find the older I get, the less patience I have.” Minerva explained. “How are the children?”
“Rose is threatening to go searching for Hermione herself. And Hugo…well, he’s still angry about the divorce and is on Ron’s side, so…”
“He inherited his father’s intellect and emotional instability.”
“He is a bit of a hothead.” Harry agreed.
Minerva turned towards the door to leave but paused with her hand on the doorknob. “I will be here in London until Thursday evening. Then I will be at my home.” Glancing back at Harry she added, “Please, keep me informed.”
“Oh…uh… of course. You’ll be the first to know anything.” He held her gaze and promised, “Honestly, I will not keep anything from you, Minerva.”
Minerva gave a nod of thanks, pulled her shoulders back, and marched off.
