Shinonome Akito, the third best knight in the kingdom whom is well known to held a high reputation and act around is actually isn't that scary and strict as everyone says, he's quite soft and cute if you picked the right topic to talk with him.
Kamishiro Rui, the first and the lead of the knights of the kingdom was well known to his strange and carefree behavior, yet his skills were not to be underestimated.
Many had never messed nor dare to talk bad about him, his mysterious behavior yet carefree was truly a strange mix for a singular person.
Yet Akito had always the guts to mess with him whenever he had the chance, unfortunately it led to failure everytime which was no surprise to anyone really, but it only made him more eager and determined.
Well strangely enough, Rui doesn't seemed bothered at all, instead he sees it entertaining and.. cute? His words not mine
A rumor started roaming around the kingdom, the head of knights and his 'entertainment' was dating, of course a rumor is a rumor.. but everyone seemed to agree with that singular rumor.
If I were to be one of their recruitment, I would too believe the rumor
"This is it, if that little smug went through this trap I'm absolutely gonna feel so superior seeing him all embarrased and disappointed." Akito mumbled softly beneath my breath as he hid behind a pillar nearby, waiting for his arrival
A faint sound of footsteps coming from the hallway were yet to be heard, Akito covered my mouth to prevent any breathing to be heard (idk how this works but it works ig)
Slightly peeking from the pillar, Akito spotted the purple haired coming to the trap with him holding some sort of letter in his hands, not one but three letters that he's currently holding.
Entering through the trap, a bucket of water suddenly fall through the ceiling. As the water fall through the ceiling, Rui who were still walking with the letters swiftly dodge by dashing in front with his instict.
A puddle was created and Akito's plan had been failed yet again as Rui turned to Akito with his usual teasing smug which extremely annoyed Akito, Rui waved hello and walked towards Akito who stopped hiding out of spite
"Fufu~ Failed again, Shinonome-kun?" Rui teased as his hand made his way to Akito's head, softly patting him as a way to show his affection which AKITO doesn't realised it.
Slapping Rui's hand away out of annoyance, Akito glared at Rui with a newfound determination written all over his face. Rui giggled before waving goodbye and continued walking to his designated destination, leaving Akito standing there dumbfounded and irritated
"Soo, failed again huh? when will you give up with these 'pranks' towards Rui, you know you don't stand a chance againts him right?" A familiar voice appeared behind Akito, which Akito had expected but its still irritating
Akito looked behind him to see Shiho leaning on a pillar, glaring at Akito with her poker face as usual, "Aren't YOU supposed to be with your sister huh? I would recommend you to come back before Shizuku start a searching team again" Akito replied sarcastically as he glared back at Shiho irritated
"Atleast I'm not THAT oblivious and dumb to do these things with THE FUCKING HEAD OF KNIGHTS?" Shiho yelled out, enough for anyone near them to hear
"Shut up! Go back to your sister before she starts panicking and the whole kingdom become a mess, AGAIN." Akito sarcastically yelled out at Shiho before storming off to practice, and by I mean practice is meeting with his best friend, the prince Toya Hinomori (In this au toya is a hinomori) to rant about his thoughts as usual
Walking through the hallway to meet Toya, he was stopped by his senior yet again the second best knight in the kingdom, Tsukasa Tenma, Akito's least favorite person above Rui.
"Oh what a suprise! What are you doing here Akito?" Tsukasa waved hello towards Akito, weirdly enough he was much more quiet than before which was out of character of him but Akito let that out of his mind
"You already know where I'm going, so why bother asking?" Akito replied sarcastically again, he wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone else beside Toya
"Pfft your right, well make sure to at least attend practice this time, someone might take your place you know!~" Tsukasa teased before running off, leaving Akito there annoyed
Akito continued walking through the hallway and eventually reached Toya's room, giving it a knock on the door before walking in.
"Come in" A voice replied to the knock, Akito opened the door and entered the room to see Toya watching the kingdom's backyard through his window before turning his head to see Akito
A smile formed through Toya's face when seeing Akito, "Ah Akito-kun, take a seat" Toya spoke out
Both of them sat at the small couch in the room as Toya started to questioned Akito, "How did the prank go?" Toya asked. In response, Akito started ranting about his thoughts on to Toya
His rant went on for about an hour as Toya was happily hearing Akito's rant with a cup of coffee to top it off with
"That little smug- I SWEAR I'LL GET HIM NEXT TIME!" Akito said before stopping his rant with a sigh, realizing that hes absolutely late for practice, dumbass
"Ah! I'm sorry Toya I gotta go, I'll see you later after practice!" Akito spoke out before leaving the room as he waved goodbye, not giving Toya a chance to process everything yet
Running through the halls swiftly, Akito spotted Rui yet again in the distance but strangely yet, Rui looks.. different from usual, he was wearing a different outfit from the one Akito saw this morning, he was also wearing a monocle, everything about this version of him gave Akito chills, though Akito decided to walk past Rui, unfortunately enough, Akito felt a hand firmly holding his shoulders, turning behind him Akito saw Rui smiling, his smile was off, everything about him was off, he didn't act like the usual Rui would
Akito knew he was fucked up at this moment but decided to start a small talk with him, "R-Rui, what the fuck are you doing here? can't you see I—" Before Akito could finish his sentence, A voice was heard behind Akito, yelling for his name
"AKITO, GET AWAY FROM HIM!" another person yelled out, Akito turned to see Rui running towards him with a facial expression Akito would never thought to see
Akito stood there is shock, 'if Rui was there then.. who's the person behind me?' Akito thought as he turned around to see the other Rui lunges at him with a knife
Fortunately enough he dodges the attack and took a few step back as the knight Rui came by his side, holding up a sword ready to defend Akito
"Hey.. whats going on!?" Akito yelled out dumbfounded with the current situation
"You were lucky this time~ I'll be back for you, my Akito~" The other 'Rui' declared as he snapped his fingers, instantly disappearing with particles surrounding where he was standing
Rui withdraw his sword and turned to Akito anxiously, it was obvious he was worried, he didn't even try to hide it "Akito, are you okay!? He didn't hurt you right?" Rui anxiously said.
"No.. but who was he and why was he so similar to you!? Moreover 'my Akito'? Who was he!??" Akito questioned throughly, he was absolutely dumbfounded while currently is still processing the current situation
Rui looked hesitant to answer as he let out a sigh and explained everything, "The Rui you just met was another version of me, an alternate version, it may not sound real but believe me in this one, the reason he was targetting you because.. he believed that you were his past lover." Rui explained, It was hard to believe him but after witnessing this, Akito forced himself to believe Rui
"How exactly did this happened?" Akito questioned, "I don't know how this happened myself, trust me on this one Akito, that 'Rui' is the complete opposite of me, my opinions my personality and everything."
Akito's eyes widened in shock, this was the first time he saw Rui this anxious and serious.. it gave him chills all over, "Just— be careful and don't tell this to anyone.. okay?" Rui reassured
"Why don't we just kill him? If he's really that of a threat—" Akito questioned but was interrupted by Rui patting him in the head again, "You really want me to die huh?~" Rui smiled as he 'jokingly' responded
Akito was completely speechless, sure he saw Rui as his least favorite person but he never wanted him to die.. he don't want to see Rui leave his side, he never did
"Are you okay Akito?" Rui questioned
"Why would you care.." Akito mumbled as he faced the ground
"Hmm~ Why do I care about you huh.. Because I love you" Rui responded while softly smiling at Akito
Akito's eyes widened once again, he felt his face heating up as he slightly pushed Rui away with one hand as his other hand was covering his face
"Your joking.." Akito mumbled
"Would I be joking if I did this?" Rui stated as he holds Akito's hands firmly which startled Akito
"W-Wait what are you doing!?" Akito yelled out
Rui leaned in towards Akito as their lips both touched, completely sealing Akito's mouth shut. Akito closed his eyes as he gave in to the kiss, enjoying every second of it
Breaking off the kiss, Rui planted another kiss on Akito's forehead as he slyly grinned with Akito's face heating up more than before
"Your reaction is quite cute I must say~" Rui teased as he lift Akito chin up, forcing him to face him eye to eye
"SINCE WHEN DID YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON ME..!?" Akito took a step back as he yelled out
"Since the beginning, why do you think I let you away with these pranks?" Rui smiled softly
Akito was left speechless, he had no words to say nor any reaction to give out. Akito had never expected that he had feelings for his least favorite person ever, He never even knew his own feelings till this day (again, dumbass.)
"Did you like the kiss?" Rui asked as he awaits for Akito's response
Akito felt embarrassed but he nodded shyly nevertheless, he faced the ground with shame yet excitement, he never felt this way before
"Hmm~ Then you wouldn't mind if I took this even further yea?" Rui blurted out
Giving Akito no time to respond, Rui leaned in for a kiss yet again but this time he used his tongue
Forcing Akito to open his mouth entrance, Akito sealed his lips shut as well as his eyes, not letting Rui take over him
(un)fortunately enough Rui took over the situation as they make out in the hallways (I'm so sorry)
Rui enjoyed this situation as Akito was left with no choice but to let this happen, though deep down he enjoyed this but he'll never admit it anyways
Breaking off the kiss, a string of saliva (AAAAA) broke as both knights took a breather for a moment before Rui finally releasing Akito from his grip
"Lets keep this a secret from the others yea?" Rui whispered to Akito's ear which let Akito blush even more
"Come, I'm sure practice is still going on, people are waiting for you there" Rui spoke out as he took Akito's hand and rushed to practice, leaving Akito no time to react again
This was the happiest day yet for Akito (ignoring the part where he almost died), Akito never thought this would happened but he was extremely happy about it, he wonders what will happend in the future regarding of Rui's alternative is still roaming around, though the shook those thoughts off and enjoyed his time with Rui
Well at least for now..
