Chapter Text

“What happened?” a female with long brown hair says as she looks around the room she was currently in. Nothing about it screamed dangerous, but then again… it could just be a front to make her lower her guard “Is anyone out there? Hello!” she screamed out, hoping to find someone or anyone

“Skye! Thank goodness you’re alright” a British voice said in relief as the female now known as Skye turned around and saw none other than her fellow teammate Jemma Simmons with Leo Fitz at her side as Skye sighed in relief at having familiar faces with her

“Simmons, Fitz, do you have any idea where we are?” she asked the two S.H.I.E.L.D scientists as they shook their heads before Skye remembered something else “Wait have you seen anyone else? Ward? May? Coulson?”

“No, you’re the only one we’ve been able to find so far. I really don’t understand how we got here though. We were on the BUS, unless someone snuck in and took us out… though we weren’t on the ground when this happened...” Fitz says, unable to make sense of what happened

“It’s all a blur for me. One minute I’m in my room on the BUS, next thing I know I’m waking up in the middle of this strange place” Skye says with a sigh. She just hopes they weren’t kidnapped by someone who wants them dead, she rather not have her last moments in a place like this... no matter how not creepy looking it seemed

“Coulson! May! Found them!” a new voice calls out as the trio whip their heads and see none other than agent Grant Ward leaning on the wall. Soon agents Melinda May and Phil Coulson round the corner and have looks of relief when their eyes landed on the younger trio huddled together

“Seems whoever took us, made sure to include the whole package. Everyone is accounted for” Coulson joked, trying to relieve the tension in the room as Skye mentally thanked him for the effort

“This whole place is a maze. We were lucky to have even found them. No exists, signs or clue on where we are. I don’t like this one bit” May says with crossed arms at how they had no way of escaping

“Umm you guys see that door, right? I mean unless my eyes are playing tricks on me… I don’t remember one being there” Fitz suddenly said, seeing a door which wasn’t there before. The others turn and to their surprise, there was a door with a note that said READ ME stuck onto it. They glanced at one another, not sure what to make of this whole situation

Since no one was brave enough or maybe stupid enough to walk over, Coulson was the one to take a cautiously step towards the door and yanked the note away. Opening it up, he began to read what it said “Welcome agents of S.H.I.E.L.D! I bet you’re wondering what you’re all doing here, right? Well, I thought to myself, why not show you all your future! Now please keep in mind this is gonna be 4 years from your current time and boy are you in for many surprises here”

“4 years? Is that even possible, to watch our futures I mean?” Skye asked with a tilted head as no one answered her question and turned back to Coulson who in turn continued reading

“Once this is all over, you’ll be returned to the exact time that you were taken. It will be as if no time had passed, seeing as the you’re currently in a room that exists outside of time... don’t ask cause I don’t know the science behind it myself. If you wish to know more about what I’m talking about, you can proceed into the room in which this note was stuck onto. Signed Mari” Coulson finished as the paper in his hands disappeared from his hands without warning

“Is this a joke?” May asked, clearly not amused by this whole thing

“I only read what the note says. If what she is saying is true though, perhaps we could gain valuable information on what’s to come and how to stop it” Coulson said with a thoughtful look. He looked at the door where he’d ripped the note from and wondered what exactly that door held behind it

“What about the whole ‘knowing your future is bad’ and all?” Skye questioned, though she wouldn’t mind watching this. It might reveal the answers she’s been looking for this whole time about who she is and who her parents were

“Since none of you have left or even made a move to, I’ll take that as in you wish to stay. Also, don’t worry bout that! I promise you, nothing bad will happen if you watch this” a young voice said as the group turned around. Standing before them was a brunette who seemed as if she were 20 years old. She had shoulder length brown hair with a couple of different blonde highlights. The girl wore a leather jacket, a pair of leggings and running shoes. Her brown eyes held mischief in them as she wore a smile

“You must be Mari, the one who brought us here I’m guessing?” Fitz asked as the brunette gave him a nod, confirming her identity to the S.H.I.E.L.D agents

“Why?”

“Didn’t you read the note? I was pretty clear when I wrote it. Besides you should be glad I even came. I was originally gonna make you watch these episodes on your own, but then decided to join you all to see the reactions and brought two guests with me”

“Guests?” questioned Ward, speaking for the first time since they had all reunited

Mari ignored him as she gestured them to follow her. They did so after a moment of hesitation since the group didn’t trust the girl before them. Mari didn’t mind, she’d do the same in their positions after all. Parents have always warned their kids about not talking or trusting strangers after all

Following their young kidnapper, they watched her open the giant door to reveal a giant sized screen with multiple chairs as if it were a theater room. Skye in particular took note of the fact that there were two people already in the room as she could hear them arguing about something

“I leave you both for a few minutes and already you’re fighting with one another. I get that you just found out the truth about your brother but cut him some slack for not wanting you to know a couple of things about him” Mari said with a sigh as the two current occupants in the room turn to face them all. One was in a wheelchair, wearing a simple hoodie and jeans. The other was older than him and had his leather jacket open to reveal a red shirt underneath, a pair of jeans and sneakers

Skye didn’t expect those two to have recognition on their faces as soon as they saw her and the rest of the team. The only one they held a different reaction towards was Ward, the younger in confusion and the older one with a restrained anger which confused Skye

“I’m agent Phill Coulson. This is my team, agents Melinda May, Grant Ward, Jemma Simmons, Leopold Fitz and Skye” Coulson introduced since he saw no reason to further delay this any longer and if they were going to be watching the future saw no reason not to tell them they were agents

The older one hesitated, but with a nod from Mari, he sighed and turned back to the group of people he knew “Robbie Reyes and this is my brother Gabe Reyes” he introduced with an unease tone, something which Skye didn’t blame him for

“Why exactly are they here? None of us have even heard of either of them and are probably just nobodies” Ward said as they both glared at him. If they had been watching Robbie in particular, they’d have seen a slight orange glow in his eyes before Mari spoke up

“Like I said, they are my guests and are both people who you will encounter in the future. Both deserve to be here, just as much as you all do. So I wouldn’t talk badly about them” Mari said in a clear no nonsense tone as Ward decided to leave it that for the moment. If only he knew she was mostly doing this so Ward wouldn’t get the full dose of Ghost Rider’s anger... no matter how much he deserved it

“Now with that out of the way, let’s get started!” Mari said, making her way towards Gabe and Robbie and sitting beside the younger teen. Seeing the others still hesitant, Mari just shrugged them off and grabbed a remote from her hoodie, turning the screen on as an episode guide appeared before them

“Oh! Before I forget, washrooms are to the left and over there is the food court. If you get hungry, just order anything you like, the replicator will make it without a problem and no it won’t be poisoned since those two already ate and are still standing” Mari said with an eye roll at how many times she had to explain she wasn’t here to kill or harm them. She should be glad Robbie could see she wasn’t lying when she had explained the situation to them or else she’d have been no match for him as Ghost Rider

Without waiting for another word, Mari hit play as the room turned dark and started playing to episode  

Chapter Text

A car was seen racing down the street with two people inside as the screen soon cuts to see a female dressing up and even putting on bandages around her hands. Soon we cut back to the car as two guys are seen loading their guns. Going back to the female, she zips up her jacket and pulls a belt around her waist as a brown eye is seen before cutting back to the streets

“Can they stop going back and forth, it’s making this slightly confusing” Gabe says not liking the whole jumping back and forth

“Not to mention annoying” Ward agrees with the wheelchair bound teen

The car is seen moving around other cars as if trying to get away from something, tires screeching and horns honking. The guy driving is seen looking behind him before the screen once again cuts away to show a ton of money lying on a table before a mask of some kind is seen. A hand is shown with some pills being dropped before the same female from before swallows the pills. She opens the door, leaving wherever it was, she was

“How she could swallow that without water I will never understand” Mari comments as she isn't a big fan of pills to begin with

“I wouldn’t be able to do that” Gabe agreed, those things weren't to be swallowed without water

“I just hope the back and forth is over with” Fitz said as he was starting to see how annoying it's to switch the scenes like that and agreed with the previous two who also commented on this earlier

Cutting back to the car chase once again, as suddenly something seemed to happen as one of the guys in the back grunts “It’s coming” he says to his partner

“Get ready!” the other says, taking aim with his gun

Tires still screeching, the driver is seen driving faster then before. However, that isn’t enough as a blast of something, hits one of the front tires making the driver have to twist around as he keeps driving “Damn it! Damn it! Engine’s dead!”

The car makes a small twist… only to stop with smoke rising from the car. The two in the back seem to be preparing themselves for something as they are seen looking around

Down below, liquid, no gas is dripping on the ground without the car occupants knowing about this. The driver is seen looking around as well until suddenly a light bulb explodes without warning

“Will we finally get to see the chaser? I mean, we still don’t even know what it is they did. We just jumped right into the whole chase” Skye said, clearly wanting to see who it was that was chasing these guys and also wanted to see who the female from before had been

The car occupants seem surprised by this as the driver turns around towards the two with the guns “Get it. Kill it! Shoot anything that moves” he shouts as the two gun wielders look at one another and one jumps down onto the street, while the other is seen holding a rocket launcher

The guy who jumped down was seen breathing shakily, all of the grunts on guard as rustling was heard and the gunfire was seen hitting a trophy case. Behind the guy firing, a figure drops down as it was revealed to be the female from before

At this, many of them lean in closer to get a better view of who this could be and how they were tied with them all since it was clear she would be playing a role in the future

The female is seen walking up to the guy, who turns around and is met with multiple hits from the female. He looks at her as he drops to his knees and says “Help. He- he got me”

The female’s face is now shown enough to see who it is and it’s none other than Daisy Johnson, former agent of S.H.I.E.L.D and also known as Skye before changing to her birth name

Everyone, but Robbie, Gabe and Mari turn towards Skye who in turn doesn't know how she should react “That’s me?!” she exclaimed after a moment. She barely knows how to fight, but seems that will change in the future if she's able to do that. Ward has to admit he is impressed by how far she seems to have come and wonders 

“Oh yeah! You went from hacker to one bada** girl!” Mari agreed with a smile as Skye and her shared a high five making a few roll their eyes at the antics

“What I want to know is where are the rest of us?” Fitz asked as that got the others thinking. If Skye was there, then they had to be somewhere near… right?

“He’ll kill us all” the guy Daisy was holding continued saying as he slips from her hands

Daisy looked at her hands, now covered in blood. Looking up, she noticed a woman walking around a car, clearly not realizing the danger as the driver from the other car grabbed the gun from the one beside him “Give me that damn thing!” he shouted, aiming out the window

“Get back!”

Suddenly bullets were sent flying as the woman tried to cover herself. Daisy ran towards her, helping her hide behind the front of the car

An engine was heard revving in the distance as Daisy slowly stood back up, the driver turning to look behind him at the same time. There a car could be seen driving, before coming to a stop a few feet away from their position

Robbie suddenly realizes why the group looked familiar as he is the only one in the room who was actually present at that time. He doesn’t say anything thought, since they would probably find out about him later on if the episode showed his battle with Daisy at the junkyard

Coulson looked at the car with interest. If he was correct, it was a 1969 Dodge Charger with a few modifications. He wouldn’t mind seeing how that car went up against his own 1962 Chevrolet Corvette

Gabe on the other hand, turned to look at his brother, knowing where this would be going. Robbie in turn didn’t meet his brother’s eyes. He still believed those guys deserved what they got, but he didn’t expect his introduction to be this since he knew what the others would think once the killing started... he wonders if their reactions would be the same as their future selves once they find out

Daisy looked surprised by the new arrival as she stepped away from the safety behind the car

The motionless car suddenly sprang into action, tires screeching as it was seen heading towards the targeted group. The guy with the rocket launcher turned around and took aim at the car

“Shoot it! Shoot it now!”

He fired as the driver from the other car didn’t even make a move to dodge the blast. They just let themselves get hit by the blast

Everyone, but Mari and Robbie, all looked shocked. Even Ward seemed taken back by this. Sure, he’s killed people, but this might be overkill. Still, who was he to judge when he’s done just as bad

Gabe knew that his brother was fine, he was here beside him after all. Still, to see him get hit with a rocket launcher and come out without any injury is shocking to say the least. He starts to wonder if Robbie could even get hurt or killed while being the host to the demon currently in his brother's possession

“That’s just overkill” Fitz said, unknowingly voicing Ward’s thoughts from before  

“No way someone could survive that” Jemma adds, not having spoken much since the episode started

“Still why show this if the driver is just going to be killed. There’s more to this than meets the eye” May says with narrowed eyes. She believed that whoever was in that car would be playing an important role like Skye, otherwise why show them in the first place?

“Shh! You’ll ruin it” Mari suddenly spoke with excitement as even Robbie couldn’t help the slight smirk that appeared when he thought about what would happened next

The car was seen flipping in mid-air, with the wheels suddenly catching fire and landed back on the ground as if nothing had happened and kept driving much to the shock of the guy who fired the rocket launcher in the first place

Mari laughed at the reactions of awe-struck and confusion that appeared on a few faces. May and Ward while not known to show many emotions, did seem to not be expecting that of all things to happen based on their slight reaction to the scene

“What the heck?!” Skye exclaimed, not believing what she just saw. Was it possible the driver was like Mike Peterson or the Avengers. Unknown to her, Coulson was wondering the same thing as he filed this information for later. This seemed familiar to him, but he still needed to keep watching

Gabe looked at the car, correction the flaming car and wondered whether or not the car also had abilities like his brother and if they were somehow connected to each other 

The flaming car kept riding on a collision course towards the other one as the rocket launcher guy literally jumped from the back as the two cars collided with one another

Daisy staggered back slightly at this as she looked at the motionless cars. However, without warning, the gas that had been leaking before had caught on fire it created a barrier of fire between the two cars and Daisy, who held a handout in front of her and took a slight step back

One of the guys from the car tried to run, only to suddenly be seen being pulled back by an unknown. Daisy looked at the scene before her with wide eyes at this, doing nothing but looking at the flaming barrier before her

The driver, still in the driver seat, was seen looking out the window as he turned to the scene behind him, hearing one of the guys crying out

“No! No! No! No!” the guy cried from the ground, trying to move away from the figure standing before him. Only keys being flipped from his hand were seen as the guy on the ground clearly looked terrified at what was about to happen “No! No, please!”

By now Gabe knew that his brother had for some reason been targeting this group. Just what had they done, he wasn’t sure. He glanced at Robbie a few times, but his brother seemed to be avoiding his gaze as he sighed at this and turned back to the screen

Daisy moved to try and get a better view as the one from the ground screamed and the guy watching from the window was suddenly hit with blood. He got out of the driver’s seat, only to get hit in the face, being knocked out and soon dragged away as well. Daisy still watching from afar

The unconscious driver was dragged as a license plate was seen, with the same figure from before flipping his keys again. Opening the trunk, part of the figure was revealed as a black jacket with white lines was seen, pushing the unconscious man into the trunk

A few heads were seen turning from the screen to Robbie as they took note of the jackets being the same. The younger members of the team shook the idea from their heads for the time being. May didn’t shake it off as easily, but decided to keep watching while having on eye on Robbie

Robbie shifted in his seat. He could tell that Skye, Fitz and Jemma just thought it was a coincidence that his jacket was similar to the one on the screen, but knew May, Coulson and even Ward were looking at him with different expressions… maybe he should start wearing a different jacket as a civilian, it was a dead give away to be honest

Daisy kept staring, as she suddenly saw a flaming skull from the distance. She watched as he got into his car and drove away from the scene, leaving behind a flaming trail with Daisy looking behind her at hearing the sirens coming towards her

Once again Mari turned to look at the audience before her. She already knew Gabe’s reaction since he knows the truth, so she skipped him and turned to the past agents. Skye seemed to look the same as her future counterpart. Jemma and Fitz were probably trying to wrap their heads around how it was possible for someone to walk with their head on fire. Ward had a look of disbelief at this and Mari wondered if he was thinking about recruiting him into Hydra as she mentally laughed at the idea of Robbie working for those Nazis. May was hard to read since she wasn’t showing anything, so she skipped her. Lastly was Coulson, who she knew had worked with the Avengers and as such wouldn’t be so shocked by this. Hopefully he doesn’t plan on thinking about searching for the Ghost Rider of their time… probably a bad idea, especially if they wish to put him on the index

Turning back to the direction the flaming car had driven off, Daisy was seen with a determined and slightly mad look as she aimed her hands towards the ground, energy waves being seen slightly before she was sent flying as the police came to a stop at the scene

“Well, that’s new” Coulson couldn’t help but comment as everyone turned towards Skye who in turn was looking at her hands

Skye turned towards Mari “I have powers?!” she exclaimed in shock as Gabe looked at Robbie who in turn shrugged. Just because he'd spent a lot of time with Daisy, didn’t mean he knew her origin story

“You basically have the ability to create and manipulate vibrational waves. You can absorb vibrations, generate force fields, levitate like you just saw and lastly make these concussive blasts that you shoot from your hands” Mari explained as Skye wondered how it was she had gained powers, but knew better than to ask. The fact that Mari even told her about what her abilities would be was enough for now... though she was dying to know how since as far as she knew was human

“So, we know Skye will gain powers in the future and now we have to worry about a guy on fire? What’s he supposed to be a demon” Fitz says with a sigh as he couldn’t make any sense on how a skeleton could even walk around with his head on fire. It wasn’t scientifically possible! 

“Demons don’t exist Fitz” Jemma says with an eye roll. Demons? Really, that’s his answer

Robbie didn't correct her. He was still human but in possession of a demon currently residing within him… still until that secret is fully revealed, he won’t be saying anything on the matter. Seems the Rider was annoyed that Jemma didn’t believe in demons as Robbie had to mentally push him back

Flying in the sky was Zephyr One as the screen then switched to the inside, two men slowly appearing on screen

“You need to sacrifice everything if you want to survive” a dark skinned man said

Knowing they would ask, Mari answered before the question could be said “His name is Alphonso Mackenzie, more commonly known as Mack. He’s a mechanical engineer and as you can see a member of S.H.I.E.L.D” she said only giving them the necessary details without looking away from the screen as Gabe chucked lightly at that

“Hmm. That’s funny. Cause I thought I would just…” said a familiar voice as it was revealed to be none other than Phil Coulson, pushing forwards something in front of him  

“Hey! AC’s finally on the screen!” Skye exclaimed without warning causing those near her to jump. Coulson on the other hand looked at the screen slightly surprised at seeing himself, barely in change whatsoever and wondered if Skye felt the same way he was feeling when she had seen her future counterpart

“Are they playing a game?” Gabe whispered to Mari who shrugged since even she couldn't tell what it was they were doing

“Mm. Yeah, that’s one way to go” Mack says looking down at the board “Want a beer?” he continued saying with a chuckle

“It’s 6:00 in the morning. What, are you Hemingway?” Coulson asked

“No, is that real?” Mack asked as he checked his watch “When did we cross the North Pole?” he continued, looking back up at Coulson

“An hour ago”

“Oh, my gosh. It’s hard to keep track in this thing” Mack said with a sigh “We shouldn’t have to stay on clock when we’re moving through time zones. I mean, what is that… three continents in two days?”

“If you count Berlin. We were only there three hours” Coulson said, going back to their game

“Yeah, we knew that Inhuman call was a hoax as soon as we stepped foot in the apartment, saw that bong”

“Inhuman?” questioned Fitz with confusion at the name

“Basically, these aliens called Kree experimented and manipulated humans and their genetic code. Due to this any of these humans with this genetic DNA become Inhumans when they undergo something called Terrigenesis, giving them abilities” Mari explained knowing this was a term they would be hearing a lot in the 22 episodes and wanted them to have background knowledge

After hearing this, Skye wondered if this was how she got powers… but that would mean she has… alien DNA? Skye wasn't sure how she felt about that. Mari saw this and gave her an understanding smile “Try not to think too hard about it. But judging from your expression… yes that’s how you got your powers. You underwent Terrigenesis and gained those vibrational abilities as a result”

“I could smell it from the hallway”

“Jokers. Hungry for attention”

“And potato chips” Coulson joked “If the munchies was a superpower, they’d be signing the Sokovia Accords as we speak”

“Let’s say stuff happens between your time and here that causes the Sokovia Accords to come into play. I won’t reveal to much on the matter. Maybe you’ll hear about that later on” Mari says in a mysterious tone as Robbie gave her a glance, but didn’t say anything

Sighing deeply, Mack turns to look at something off screen “You should let me work on Lola”

“Lola?” Gabe asked in confusion, being the only one to not know who that was

“My car. A red 1962 Chevrolet Corvette” Coulson tells the teen with a smile

“Oh, he named his car. Like Robbie did with his” Gabe says as he smirks and pretends he doesn’t notice the glare his brother sent his way. Robbie regrets the day his brother overheard him call the Charger by the name he gave the car

“He named his car? What is it with boys and naming their cars?” Skye asked as she threw her hands up for emphasis “What’d he name his car, Lana?”

Gabe was about to reveal the name his brother had given his car, when a hand shot up and covered his mouth before he could get another word out. His eyes met Robbie’s own brown ones, his eyes literally daring him to say it. Gabe rolled his own eyes at this as he said nothing more on the matter, but promised mentally to say it when Robbie wasn’t in the room or was distracted

“I warned you. Everything in Lola is custom” Coulson seriously says

Robbie tilted his head, releasing his hold over Gabe. So, Coulson had also added some modifications to his car too. He wondered exactly those modifications could be and decided to ask the next time he saw Coulson. He'd ask the one in the same room as him, but this Coulson didn't know him or trust him and to be truthful he didn't either since it wasn't exactly the same man he'd met in his timeline

“Yeah, yeah, everything is custom. But it would be something to do. There’s only so many times a guy can win cash off you…” Mack said, trailing off before adding “Sir”

“You got to stop calling me that” Coulson says just as someone walks in

“We’re being called back to H.Q” the new arrival tells the two agents

“They say why?” Coulson asked in confusion

“We’re not due for a restock for another 10 days” Mack said, turning to face him

“No idea. They said it’s classified” he tells them, probably not knowing himself why

“Oh, everything is nowadays” Mack said with a sigh as he stood up “All right, we’ll need full inventory. Medical, provisions, fuel cells, and make sure you tell the crew they’ll need to call ahead if they want off our next deployment” he tells the other agent who walks off, calling out to another unseen agent

“Wonder what that’s about” Coulson says standing up himself as both him and Mack are seen fixing their guns

“Oh, I don’t know. It’ll be good to see Fitz and Simmons”

“And May” Coulson adds

“Yeah… I think you look forward to that more than I do” Mack tells him, walking away

The scene changes to show May roundhouse kick into a person wearing protective padding before going to hit May, only to soon find himself pinned to the ground as he tapped out

“So, it’s May’s turn for screen time” Ward commented and pitied the poor soul on the ground having seen and been on the receiving end during a few training rounds they've done on the BUS

“So, we have Agents Coulson and May, plus Skye appearing so far. Plus mentions of both Fitz and I” Jemma says, happy that none of them had died

“You know I just realized neither Mack nor Coulson mentioned Ward before the scene switch” Fitz pointed out, making the past agents wonder what happened to him

Mari and Robbie didn’t actually care since they both knew the truth about him. Still, they made sure not to let their anger towards him show much. They all still believed he was one of them and neither had the heart to tell them the truth. As such, they just kept quiet about it and made sure to not interact with Ward so much. Robbie in particular since he didn’t want to think about what would happen if he let the Rider take over and have a chance at the double agent

Ward had a hunch about what had happened to him and didn’t really know what to feel on the matter. Even though it hasn’t been that long since he had met the others… he hates to say that he’d slightly gotten attached to them

May released her hold on the agent and helped him back onto his feet. Turning to face the group before her, she asked them “What was his mistake?” No one said anything, looking at one another

“You know I’m not gonna talk”

“He didn’t anticipate your back kick. Opened himself up” one of the males says before female beside him spoke up

“His mistake was he tapped out” at this, May nods her head in approval

The hanger door opens as May turned around and watched as the Zephyr descend. Turning back to the group she calls out to Piper as she walks away. Piper in turn takes over the training “Okay, people! What, you never seen the biggest plane ever built before?! Next pairing, on the mat!”

“Somehow, I can see why May chose her to take over. She can be just as serious” Skye joked, earning an eye roll from May at this. Still, she was slightly curious about these new recruits she seemed to be training and made a note to look them up

“How long has it been?” May asks as soon as she sees both Coulson and Mack

“Six weeks in the air. Only the Quinjet touched down” Coulson replies as May is seen with a device in her hands as she asks, “Is that a record for Zephyr One?”

“It is. It was supposed to be even longer. You know who called us in?” Coulson asks her as May passes the tablet in her hands over towards Mack

“I do” she tells them, walking away

“You? Okay. Now I know something’s up” Coulson said, following after her as Mack trailed behind

“I got word from contacts in law enforcement, Los Angeles. Two civilians were violently killed” she tells them, coming to a stop as Coulson is seen placing his gun on a table

“Mysterious burns, heads bashed in, spine pulled out of his… Wow” Mack reads from the tablet

Robbie wonders if maybe he should have been more careful since it was clear he had made enough attention to have S.H.I.E.L.D on his radar before even meeting Daisy

The younger members didn’t know how to react to the whole ‘spine pulled out’ comment so they chose to stay quiet and remember to be on the look out for any flame headed skull when they returned back to their time. Gabe on the other hand, wanted nothing more than to strangle his brother… but reframed himself from doing that and instead settled for glaring at him

“Many conflicting accounts, but all agree, it was odd” May continued, holding up a card as the door opened granting her access 

“Odd? Isn’t that our wheelhouse?” Coulson asks her, repeating May’s moves as he also held up his own security clearance card   

“He’s right. Why call us in? We could be headed to the scene right now to confirm the presence of an enhanced person, if there is one” Mack says as the group is seen walking around the base

“If it checks out, we bag and tag. We handle these on the fly” Coulson adds

“Didn’t exactly want to send this out on the wire” May suddenly says as Coulson turns to her

“May, you’re not sharing again. Now would be a really good time to share”

Turning a corner, May says “The police also have another victim in custody. Critical condition”

Opening a door, she lets the two agents go inside before making sure no one else is following as she closes the door behind her once she enters “Under sedation, he mentioned seeing a girl, saying it was the one from the news. Quake”

“Quake?” Skye questioned but was ignored by the trio who supposedly knew the truth

“Which you didn’t want to send over the wire” Mack says, realizing why May had done

“You were pulled off Daisy’s case”

“Daisy? Who's that?" Jemma asks wondering if that was a new agent or the one they mentioned before

“I didn't want to ruin the moment where you find out but sooner or later you'd find out due to these episodes. Daisy Johnson aka Quake is none other than Skye” Mari revealed as many turn to Skye, or is it Daisy now? Skye on the other hand doesn’t know what to say. This must mean she finds out who her birth parents were and who she really is! It makes her wonder how long she’ll have to wait before meeting them

“The Director thinks she slipped through our fingers too many times”

“The Director thinks you let her” May says as Coulson turns to look back at her

“No, we pursued her. She was a ghost”

“Wait a minute. Why exactly is…"

"Just keep calling me Skye, that's Daisy not me" Skye interrupts seeing the hesitation on Ward due to not knowing what to call her. She prefers to not use the name until she meets her parents and they tell her the truth themselves

"... Skye on the run from S.H.I.E.L.D?” Ward asked. Based on what he knew about the girl; he didn’t see her as the type to up and leave S.H.I.E.L.D without reason

Mari sighed, not meeting Skye’s gaze as she didn’t want to reveal the whole story and just went with a simplified version “She blames herself for things that happened. She wasn’t directly responsible, but still blamed herself for the events that happened”

“Well, in his infinite wisdom, he says you’re now forbidden to” May tells them

“But you’re telling us this because…?”

“In case we want to do something about it” Coulson says as May nods her head at that. Both Mack and Coulson share a glance as she says “Look, I can bury this until the official police report comes through”

“That’ll buy us a few hours lead time. Get to L.A., sniff around” Coulson said, turning back to Mack

“Yeah. We have an active Inhuman asset in Los Angeles that’s due for a check-in soon enough” Mack agrees

“It’ll justify our presence there, but as soon as the report’s filed, they’ll pull us out”

“And the armed forces will be sent in after her”

“With orders to kill” May interrupted

Coulson looks at her in confusion “To kill?”

“If she’s responsible for these bodies” May adds in

“That’s not Daisy’s M.O” Coulson argues. He didn’t believe for one second that Daisy was responsible for the bodies left behind

“The world knows her as Quake, and Quake is an outlaw who takes down banks and bridges”

An outlaw? Taking down banks and bridges? At this point Skye doesn’t know what to think about her future counterpart anymore. Sighing, she wishes Mari had instead decided to show them at least hints at how it'd gotten to the point so she'd have an understanding on why the heck she'd left S.H.I.E.L.D

At this both Mack and Coulson talk over each other “Oh, come on. We both know she’s tracking these fanatics…” “She’s hunting violent radicals” “… the Watchdogs, trying to take down their funding, their… their escape routes”

“Regardless, you should fuel up and get back up in the air ASAP” May tells them seriously

“Find her before the military does something bad” Mack agrees

“Or Daisy does something worse” May said, walking away as Mack turns to Coulson, who in turn looks up at him. Both knew they needed to step up their game and find their runaway agent and friend

The scene changes to that of a hospital room. Monitors beeping, the figure lying there is revealed to be one of the guys from before. Lights flickering, he turns towards the hallway, seeing a guard running

“Hey. You can’t be here. Stop right there” he says only to suddenly be thrown back by an invisible force. Soon it’s revealed to be Daisy as she enters the room, closing the door behind her

“How are we feeling today?” she starts saying as another guard appears, opening the door… only for Daisy to use her powers to keep the door from being opened “I’ve been tracking weapon sales, and I know you were hired to steal one. You even jacked a big rig to help carry it out”

“We were just paid for a smash-and-grab job” he tells her

“Who was that hunting you?” she asked, wanting to know more about the flaming skull she had seen

“Open the door!” a guard shouted from outside

Grunting, he moves slightly before answering her “He nailed me, but we almost got away”

“Who was it?” Daisy pressed

“Did he kill my friends?” he asked instead

“All but one. But you’re gonna have to give me a little bit more if I’m gonna find him alive”

“Save him, please, before he gets burned, too” he pleaded

“You’ll see your buddy again once you heal up. Just tell me what’s…” she says, but trailed off as she watched him slowly sit up

“No. No. It’s too late for me. They say when the Rider burns you, he burns your soul. And a soul can never heal” he tells her, the bandage around his waist revealing blood as he grunts and falls to the ground with blood pooling underneath him

“Rider? Is that the name of the guy who was chasing them?” asked Ward wanting to get more information to who this enhanced individual could be. He knew Mari knew more than she let on as he watched her shrug and narrowed his eyes at her lack of response

Mari in turn could tell them the truth, but it wasn’t her secret to tell and as such kept quiet for Robbie’s sake as well

Coulson narrowed his eyes when he heard this. There was only one individual he could think of who has the ability to look into and burn a person’s soul. Still he hasn't heard any news regarding this individual for awhile now. Could it be he becomes active again in the future?

“Burning your soul? According to scientific facts, the soul is an immaterial aspect. The essence of a human being to be precise. The fact that this Rider can somehow burn a soul, sounds ridiculous” Jemma said, not buying for one second what the guy on screen was saying

Robbie could feel as his eyes light up at Jemma’s words and slowly composed himself before anyone noticed. While he could understand that they were from the past and might not be used to all this supernatural stuff, did not mean the Rider was as understanding

Daisy aimed her other hand towards the wall, blasting it with her powers. Letting go of her powers with her other hand, the guards came rushing in “Stop right there!”

Of course, she didn’t stop and instead jumped out

The screen soon switched and showed none other than Jemma Simmons “Hello? Hello? I hear my voice echo, but it sounds strange in my head. The detail is amazing” she says into an empty room, looking around “However, I am 3 feet off the ground” she continued as she was then shown literally walking in the air

“How is she is 3 feet in the air and walking like if she were on the ground?” Fitz asked looking at Jemma, who in turn shrugged as she wasn’t sure either. It's not she'd gotten any powers herself in the future that involve being able to walk in the air or fly... right?

“Wait. What? Hold on. Damn it. Uh, well, I did adjust the Y axis earlier for some reason. What does that look like now?” Fitz’s voice was heard as Jemma was seen slowly being brought down until her feet touched the ground below her

Jemma sighed in relief at seeing she did not in fact possess any powers and was still a normal human being. Thought that didn't mean she'd never had the thought cross her head before on what powers she'd have liked to have

“Better. The CPU seems to be handling the high poly count. Textures are impeccable. We should build a place to get away, a meadow or a cottage somewhere” she says, dreaming the idea until sighing “I wish it were ever this quiet”

Reaching up, she looked as if she were grabbing something and soon the empty room that was seen before, is now a crowded lab Fitz looking at her in excitement

“Direct-current stimulation. Creates the other senses like touch and taste but also takes feedback. So, I’ve just mapped your brain’s response…” he explains, motioning to the screen beside him with a picture of a brain

“Seems you build yourself a virtual reality capable of more than what the games offer” Skye said, taking her mind away from her counterpart on the screen for the moment 

Fitz looked in awe at what was being said as he wondered if when they got back, maybe he’d be able to get started on this idea. Virtual reality was something he’s heard about, but to make one from scratch is impressive and must have taken a long time

“Response to the environment. Of course. Dr. Radcliffe came up with the architecture?” Jemma said, walking up to Fitz and handing him the head device

“Dr. Radcliffe is basically a transhumanist you encounter later on” Mari said in a distracted tone that only Robbie had taken note

“Yeah. Yeah, he calls it ‘The Framework.’ But all the transcranial apparatus, that’s all me”

“No. Of course, you’re brilliant, too. Of course” Jemma says, acknowledging his credit to the creation 

“Cause soon you won’t even need the eyewear or the earwear, cause it’ll all be inside your head” he tells her, pointing towards his head

“Full dive. SAO has become reality. All you need now is to trap everyone inside and clear all the levels if they wish to leave” Mari says out of nowhere

No one asked her what she meant by this, only Gabe and Skye seemed to have understood by their expressions and nodded at her comment

“So, May’s strike team will be able to train virtually instead of May constantly breaking their ribs” Jemma says with a smile

Coulson and Ward both nod in agreement, having been on the receiving end of May’s anger and training

“Hey, hey. Authorized personnel only, pal. No pass, no entry” a voice says as Jemma and Fitz turned towards the commotion

Mack looks at him in confusion “Who the hell are you?”

"Leave them be, Nathanson. They have more reason to be here than you do" Jemma says as Nathanson looked behind him to see Jemma and Fitz

Mack walks in before commenting "Wow. A lot of new faces" 

Jemma smiled  "Good to see yours" she tells him as he hugs her

“Six weeks. That’s a record” Fitz added as he and Coulson shared a hi-five

"Heard you got a promotion" Coulson says looking at Jemma

"Oh, yeah, and a title" Fitz tells the two agents

"Yeah, Special Advisor to the Director in Science and Technology" Jemma tells them before Fitz decided to add " Or “SADIST""

Many chuckled at Fitz's acronym as May and Ward raised eyebrows at this

Mack looked at Jemma "They keeping you busy?"

"With busywork, mostly"

Fitz added "Yeah, and random state-of-the-art lie-detector tests"

"So that’s the cost of being in the Director’s inner circle" Coulson says

"Yeah, he’s paranoid about what happened the last time S.H.I.E.L.D. was government-run. Calls it his Widespread Infiltration Monitoring Program" Jemma explained 

"Or “WIMP"" Fitz says before adding "Hey, uh, you should join us 'cause we’re gonna go to Radcliffe’s and watch the Aberdeen-Inverness Caley Thistle League cup final"

Coulson looked confused at his words "They’re… Those are football teams"

Mack shared a look with Coulson "I’m not sure they are, Turbo"

Gabe knew they were actually football teams having seen the game on TV while channel surfing one night in boredom. He didn't really much care for football, but he'd gotten bored waiting for Robbie to come back that he'd ended up watching the game

"Unfortunately, we have to be wheels-up in 10 minutes, so…" Coulson says

Fitz became serious as he walked away towards a table "Okay. All right. Well, strictly business, then"

"Aw, yeah. New toys?" Mack says following with the others trailing behind

Fitz was seen holding a case in his hands towards Mack "The exploding pen that you asked for. I can’t imagine a use for it"

"You never wanted one?" Mack questioned holding the pen 

"And for you, Direct… uh, Agent Coulson…" Fitz says trailing his words awkwardly before opening a case to reveal a mechanical hand inside "With new bells and whistles. And the directions will be there when you boot it up" Coulson grabs it with the hand currently unoccupied makes a hi-five motion before putting the hand back in its place and sealing the case

"What’s, uh… What’s the assignment?" Fitz asked curiously

Coulson sighed grabbing the case "It’s classified"

“Right. Everything is these days” Fitz says, repeating the words Mack had said

Jemma waited for awhile before she started saying "Fitz, sadly, um…"

"Yeah, you can’t make the match, either" Fitz says in a voice as if this was a regular thing before walking away

"I have to finish my reports" Jemma tells him following Fitz

"Yeah, no, I get it. That’s okay" he tells her as the two stop with Jemma grabbing hold of a stack of papers "Just a shame we hardly get to see each other. Any of us"

Jemma sighs at his words “Yes, well… At least it’s better than the friends we’ll never see again” Jemma tells him as she grabs hold of his hand before leaving with Fitz being left behind in masked disappointment 

Nobody wanted to ask what future Jemma meant by that. It was bad enough Ward didn’t seem to make it this far into the future… just who else didn’t survive? Someone they met along the way. Maybe family members? Too many possibilities to be sure

The screen switches to show Daisy taking off the bandages around her arms, revealing multiple bruises surrounding her skin. She hisses in pain before turning towards her laptop, typing in the search bar ‘unexplained death, burns, suspicious death, east Los Angeles.’ Multiple results appear, but the one with a teacher being killed grabs her attention as she clicks on i

Daisy is soon seen dressing up, placing a black beanie over her head as she looks in the mirror. Closing her laptop and placing it in her bag, she is then seen on her phone, looking at a message before closing the flip phone

She places it in her pocket, leaving the room as money with a note saying ‘For housekeeping’ is seen on a table. Daisy opens up her van, before throwing her bag into it

‘Huh, guess I go back to living in a van like I did before I met Coulson’ Skye sighed, though she had to admit she did miss her van

Switching scenes again, the guy who was last seen having been dragged into a trunk, is seen tied up in what looked like a warehouse. Someone off screen closes the door of their car, the window being seen before switching towards the front as you could make out a black leather jacket with the white lines from before and hear the sound of keys being flipped again

Robbie remembered this. He’d taken T. Mitchell, the only remaining member he’d left alive over to El Monte Junk and Salvage to get some answers, only to later kill him

The others all tensed when they realized this must be the same guy who’d killed the others and was an enhanced. This made them sit up and pay closer attention

Gabe, while knowing the truth, was watching this with different motives than the others. He wanted to know more about what exactly his brother had been doing that the media didn’t cover as the Ghost Rider

Rubbing the window with his arm, the guy tied up was breathing heavily, but started talking after a moment “We just stole a box. I don’t even know what was inside of it. We… We loaded it onto an 18-wheeler, we parked it in a warehouse, and we just left it”

The unknown figure walked up front, flipping his keys yet again. He turned towards the car, doing something before once again flipping his keys

The tied up guy just looked forward, breathing deeply still and not saying another word. He watched as his kidnapper walked towards him, before striking him hard with the hand that held his keys

“Left it for who?” the unknown figure finally spoke  

A few heads turned towards Robbie after hearing the mysterious figure speak, able to easily recognize his voice even if they barely knew the guy. However no one commented or said a word at this revelation and instead turned back to the screen. Coulson was the only one to have a calculating look on his face after this new piece of information

Despite the hit, the tied up guy answered “The Chinatown Crew. They set the job up and were willing to pay big”

Hitting him once again, the unknown figure said “Lies. Aryan Brotherhood working with the Chinese?”

“I swear! I swear that’s all I know”

“Where’s this warehouse?” the unknown figure asked

The tied up man looked on with a shaky smile “I-I can’t tell you that, man. My people are gonna be mowed down in the payback … the ones you didn’t already kill”

The two looked at one another, almost as if in a stare down as neither made a move. The quiet giving off a tense atmosphere in the screen

“If you don’t tell me, you’ll have to tell him” the unknown said as the tied up guy’s face changed in an instant when he said this, before being hit once again in the face

“Anyone know what he meant by the whole ‘tell him?’ If I recall, I didn’t see anyone else in the room, but seems the guy understood based on his face” Skye said breaking the tense atmosphere

“There is still so much we don’t yet know” Jemma said with a sigh, but did sent Robbie a hesitant look as she turned away before he could notice

“Was it really necessary to rough him up so much?” Fitz asked as Robbie wanted to say yes it was but thought better and stayed quiet for the time being. He knew everyone was suspicious of him by now, but some part of him wanted to still pretend like they didn't know... even if he knew there was no point fighting against the inevitable

The screen soon showed a picture of the man being tortured, his name being T. Mitchell

“This guy’s missing. The rest are dead” Coulson says, the screen switching to show the four men from the night before, as Mack and Coulson are both seen looking at the screen before them

“Aryan Brotherhood. They’re not my kind of brothers” Mack says with a shake

Everyone but May and Ward chuckled at the comment

"They’ve been know to work for cash. Burglary, assault, sort of the value meal of hired guns. They’re suspected in the recent theft of this big rig" Coulson listed off before the screen he was reading from showed four images of a yellow truck "Probably prepping for a larger score" 

"Big, yellow, hard to hide. So, what, are we looking for this thing?" Mack questioned in confusion

Coulson replied "And if Daisy’s chasing the same angle, maybe we get to the finish line first"

"I’ll greet her when she arrives"

"Agent Coulson?" an agent says walking towards the duo

"He looks familiar" Gabe says before recalling the agent from earlier as being the same one currently on the screen

"Davis" Coulson greets

Davis tells them that they are preparing to land and that an Inhuman asset will be waiting for them before leaving the two with Mack looking at his watch as Coulson gives him a look 

Mack notices this "What?"

The Zephyr is seen landing on the ground as waiting before it is a female carrying a bag slowly approaches the plane as she walks up to the agent called Davis after she hands her bag over to another agent

"How’s your wife, Davis?" she greets with arms held out and watches as Davis seems to be scanning the device on her wrist

"Is she an Inhuman? The asset Davis had mentioned before?" Skye asked curiously. Since finding out she would become an Inhuman herself sometime in the future, she had to admit she wanted to know more about what other Inhumans were like

Mari nods as Gabe noticed her phone in her hands typing rapidly "Her name is Elena Rodriguez, an inhuman as you guessed. Her powers basically allowed her to run very fast and as far as she could in one heartbeat. Only downside is that she bounces back to her original spot"

Davis replied with "Getting bigger every day"

Elena chuckles at this "Oh. Don’t tell her that"

Davis corrects himself at her words

Elena nods at this before she is allowed to leave the room and enters another room which has none other than Mack as she greets

"Yo-Yo" Mack greets her as the two face each other "Just have a few questions"

Elena crosses her arms "I’m all yours"

"Uh, so, I see you went to Colombia for a week" Mack reads from his tablet as Elena nods. Mack then comments about tickets to Miami as Elena says " Yes. Do you watch me sleep or shower or…?"

Mack tells her it's "Just procedure"

Skye thinks that feels like an invasion of privacy to be honest, but knows better than to voice it since she knows each of the agents would have some excuse or reason for that and as such stays quiet

Elena moves closer to Mack "You don’t have to use a satellite to get to know me better. Just ask me to dinner again" she tells him as Mack looked towards the other in the room making Elena smile slightly as they watched the lab coat finish what he was doing before leaving the awkward room without a word

"You know the rules about fraternizing with assets in the field" Mack says as soon as they're alone

Elena chuckles at his words "Oh, we haven’t fraternized anything yet" she says with a shake of her head before moving even closer "And I thought you were breaking the rules, coming to do my checkup early just to see me" she continued before adding "Or are you here because, uh, there’s been a lot of little earthquakes lately?"

"Daisy could be in the area. But officially, that’s not the mission. Doesn’t matter. We’ll never find her. She’s always one step ahead" 

By now the two are really close to each other as Elena asks "What is the official mission? Can I help?"

Mack put his tablet on the table "Here’s where I have to remind you that Sokovia Accords, which you signed…"

Elena groaned "Oh, all right"

Mack continued talking "… require approval by the United Nations subcommittee before an enhanced indiv…"

Elena interrupted him "Rules, rules, rules. Blah, blah, blah. S.H.I.E.L.D. moves too slow now, Turtleman. I prefer to move fast"

"S.H.I.E.L.D has way to many rules. I mean that binder I read was like more than 700 pages long!" Skye agreed as Mari nodded not being a big fan of rules herself 

"There are rules for a reason Skye. They could prove useful in a live or death situation even" Coulson informed her, the ever model agent in her eyes 

The two are interrupted as Coulson is seen standing at the entrance "Mack, they found the truck" he says leaving without a word 

"Good to see you, too, Coulson!" Elena calls

"That wasn't very nice! You could have at least greeted her... sir" Fitz awkwardly says as Coulson looked slightly apologetic towards the screen

"Well, if you’re in Miami, look me up. Just because we can’t work together doesn’t mean we can’t live a little" Elena tells Mack before she too leaves the room as Mack sighs

"They seemed to have a history. Were they a couple or something?" Jemma asked in curiosity as Mari shrugged since even she couldn't really tell if they had been a couple at the time or not

The screen switches to show a game match on TV as a knock is heard on the door just as an older male walks to go answer it. He opens the door and greets the individual happily "Hey, just in time. They’ve just taken to the pitch. Where’s Jemma? Is she not coming?" he asks as none other Fitz is seen holding two packs of drinks in his hands

"Is he that scientist you mentioned we'd meet in the future?" Fitz asks even if it was a dumb question since he remembers his counterpart up on the screen mentioning going over to Radcliffe's the name Mari had mentioned before. Still he wanted a confirmation as the brunette nodded her head 

Fitz continued walking into the room as he puts the drinks down on the table "Yeah, she wanted to. Same story" he says in a somewhat distracted tone

"All work and no play, huh? That’s a bit disappointing" Radcliffe tells Fitz as the younger male takes his jacket off and throws it on the couch "Still, make yourself comfortable. I’m just, uh, finishing cleaning up" he continued saying as he walked away

A shadow is seen walking as Fitz throws something in the air before catching it in his mouth "Yeah, should be pretty lopsided, don’t you think?" he says not noticing someone else is now in the room with him "Their keeper’s absolutely crap…" he keeps saying before turning and freaking out at seeing a woman. He sits on the couch with his eyes covered "Oh, my gosh! I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry. I had no idea there was somebody here"

"Hello" the woman greets 

"Is it me or do you see a lack of clothing on her?" Gabe asked before his brother covered his eyes followed by Fitz doing the same as his future self

Radcliffe seemed to have heard and runs into the room "You… You weren’t meant to see that" he sighs grabbing Fitz's jacket as the woman as she kept repeating the same thing over and over again as if in a broken record

"Fitz, meet AIDA" Radcliffe introduced as Fitz turned slightly before putting his other hand up to cover the view

Radcliffe awkwardly says "She’s, uh, crashed"

The room was silent at this. Crashed? Then that meant that-

"Wait! That's a robot!" Ward exclaimed in slight shock at how what he was seeing could be a robot when it looked so realistic 

"She" Fitz corrected "It's clearly a she with what we umm saw... robot or not"

The screen went dark before showing AIDA with clothing now covering her

Robbie released his hold over his brother who shoved his hands away and mumbled something about not being a little kid anymore that needed protection

AIDA still kept saying the same thing over and over "Hello. I’m glad to final… Hello. I’m glad to final… Hello. I’m glad to final… Hello. I’m glad to final… Hello. I’m glad to final… Hello. I’m glad to final…"

She stops talking as Radcliffe powers her down with his device currently in his hands

"What the hell?"

Radcliffe turns back to Fitz "Well, I’ve just upped her PSU to compensate for image processing. Must have over cranked it. I’ll reboot" he explains

Fitz decided to try again but differently "Unh-unh, that’s not what I meant. I meant… what the hell?!"

"Well, you’ve already met Aida, digital personal assistant, as a voice on the computer. So, uh… I built her a body"

"Yeah, a naked body" Fitz says in a deadpan 

Fitz and Gabe turned red at remembering this. Robbie tried not to show his discomfort at the comment, but even he'd been slightly surprised at AIDA being clothing-less

Radcliffe defended himself at the implication behind his words "I-I was just now installing new hardware, updating her gyroscopic sensors. I’m not some sicko"

Fitz stood back up "When did you build this? Have you forgotten the very strict stipulations that came with your pardon? You are not allowed experimentation without approval and oversight!" he exclaimed angrily as Radcliffe dropped the device

"Oversight, I know. I’m well aware of that, yeah. That’s why I wanted Simmons here. I wanted to show both of you. Look. This has been a lifelong dream of mine, Fitz. When I saw the work you and Simmons were doing in replicating human tissue and internal bone structure in Coulson’s hand, I knew… I knew right then that this was within reach" he explains as Fitz turned to look at AIDA

"A robot?" he questioned

Radcliffe corrected him "Not just a robot. It’s one that can cross the uncanny valley and come out the other side, pass for a human. I mean, it has bloody micro-expressions" Radcliffe says happily turning back to AIDA

"She" he corrects "It’s a… It’s definitely a “she” 'cause I saw…" Fitz awkwardly continued saying

Jemma raised an eyebrow at how similar the Fitz on screen and the one beside her thought the same about AIDA being a she. In the end 'she' was still an it, female body or not and hoped Fitz knew that

"Yes… She has micro-expressions, full range of motion. I mean, physically, it’s… she’s nearly perfect" Radcliffe says circling around AIDA

Fitz seemed to agree as he walked closer and also circled around AIDA "She is… very realistic"

Jemma frowned at his comment on screen and turned to Fitz who was staring intensely at the screen and wondered what could be going on in that head of his

Radcliffe smiled "Now, mentally, well, you’ve spoken with AIDA. She’s bright, she laughs at the jokes I programmed her to recognize, but she’s never pass the Turing test. At the moment, that’s a pipe dream. However, I think, with your help…"

Fitz shook his head, hand over his face "No, no. No, no, no, no! We have to report this right away. You could lose everything" he denies walking away 

Radcliffe sighed "I know. I know"

Fitz continued "Or you could go to jail"

"I know! I know, you’re right" Radcliffe agrees and sees Fitz lean on his couch "Full disclosure at this time is the best course of action. I… I agree" he continued as Fitz looked back up at him which in turn made Radcliffe think of something "Hmm. At least let me show you how it works.

Fitz didn't say anything, only continued to stare

"Wow Fitz, are you falling for a robot" Mari teased as Fitz actually blushed at this 

"She's joking Fitz. We all know you have eyes for a certain someone" Skye said with an eyeroll but even she could see Fitz seemed to be slightly attracted to AIDA

The screen showed a busy street with cars driving around. At the bus stop stood Daisy with her stuff with her as the bus pulls up with Daisy hopping on board. She walks towards one of the available seats before sitting down. Behind her was none other than Elena

Elena starts talking with Daisy turning slightly towards her but not enough to fully face her "They’re in town. I supposed you guessed that, texting me. They’re looking for a truck"

"That mean you have something for me?" Daisy questioned

Elena was seen rummaging through something before handing it over to Daisy "They watch my every move, but certain moves they can’t see" she says, Daisy grabbing the small item from her hand "You can’t get these over the counter. S.H.I.E.L.D. issue for rapid bone healing, yes? I know you splintered your bones when you first powered up. Are you pushing yourself too hard?"

Daisy sighs at her words "Don’t worry about me"

Elena doesn't give up "You can’t use your powers too much. Your body will break down"

"I’m fine"

Many eyes turn to Skye as she looked down at her shoes finding them very interesting

"Splintered bones?" Fitz says

"Skye if you're powers are causing you to break your bones then you shouldn't be using them in the first place! Taking too many pills could cause you to overdose!" Jemma exclaims in worry 

"She doesn't have her powers yet Jemma, so technically you can't blame her for something she hasn't done" Mari defends Skye before turning towards her "Still they have a point Skye. You have friends who want you back, friends who'd help you no matter what... don't forget that"

"Don't worry, we'll make sure nothing happens to her" Ward promised as Mari sent him a raised eyebrow but turned away without another word said making Ward very suspicious of her and wondered if she knew the truth about his loyalties 

Elena decides to drop the matter looking out the window "I’m surprised you’re still in town. You’re usually moving and moving. Are you, uh, still hunting those perros rabiosos?"

"It’s not just the Watchdogs now. Local gangs have been working for them, which I don’t understand. I was tracing the sale of a weapon, and I… I think I may have stumbled upon a serial killer"

Many tensed at the reminder of the flaming figure from the beginning. Robbie frowned at Daisy's words and knows better than to blame her for thinking along those lines. He did kill people, but only those who'd hurt innocents... is that really considered as being a serial killer?

By this point Gabe and Skye were the only ones who'd noticed Mari wasn't in the room anymore and wondered where she could have disappeared

"Ooh. Fun. He live around here?" Elena playfully asked

"He mostly hits this area, but he’s hard to track down, leaves no traces behind, operates alone"

Elena considers her words "Sound familiar? I thought maybe you were, uh, growing roots, they say. L.A. used to be where you hang out, no?"

Daisy denied this

Elena leans in closer "Everyone gets attached to something eventually" she says before leaning back to her original spot

Daisy was quiet for a moment before speaking as she was seen grabbing her stuff "Don’t forget to wait two stops after I get off" she informed

Elena tells her to send a picture so maybe she could find out some more information about this serial killer she'd encountered

Daisy rejected the idea it seems "No, I still haven’t gotten a good look at him yet, so just take care of yourself, okay? But thank you for the S.H.I.E.L.D. intel"

The bus seems to stop as Elena once again was leaning in close "They won’t give up on you, especially Coulson. All he wants is to find you"

Daisy says in an emotionless tone "Well, that’s too bad, 'cause there’s only one thing I want"

"Oh, yeah? What’s that?"

Daisy replied with "Nothing to lose" she tells her fellow Inhuman before leaving the bus

Coulson looks at Skye and wishes he knew what had cause her to become this way. She was usually more upbeat and had a different way of thinking. To see her this way, like a broken shell of her former self hurt

Robbie in turn thought back to his own conversation with Daisy the day she showed up unexpected at his work and thought maybe he'd been to hard on her when he'd said certain things...

May was seen back on screen walking with a towel over her shoulders as Jemma entered the room "Here’s the Mapping-Action Eyewear you requested. Should help your team in case of a blind takedown"

"Great. Thanks" May says taking the item from Jemma before having a tablet held out towards her

"I need you to sign for it" Jemma says with neutral expression

May took the tablet from her hands "I don’t get the new color-coded security-level rainbow of… What’s it called?"

"The “Spectrum of Security"" Jemma said with a smile

May wonders why she has to answer and go through a level orange like Jemma

Jemma explains "Well, orange encompasses both red and yellow, so… It’s hard to explain, but the Director didn’t want to use numbers because he didn’t want any team member to feel less than"

"Well, you do have a higher clearance than me" May tells her as she signs the device in her hands

"Only in most instances"

May gives the tablet back "I feel less than"

Jemma takes it back as May is seen walking away before Jemma follows her "Hey, we just had a report come in. A death in a hospital in Los Angeles. Suspicious circumstances. Suspect is an Asian female"

"You think it might be Daisy"

"I’m going to look into it. I just wondered if you’d heard anything from your law-enforcement contacts?" Jemma asks 

"I’m mostly in the dark these days. Why don’t you ask the Director? Since you’re one of the few people allowed or willing to do that" May says walking away leaving Jemma behind 

May knew that was harsh since she technically shouldn't blame Jemma for her not knowing anything. It's just it didn't sit well with her not knowing what was going on like before. Worse if she didn't trust this new director they'd be getting it seems

Daisy was shown up on the screen with a map in her hands as she looked up at the wall, where a male was seen spray painting on it. Daisy walked up to him as she called out to him “What you got there?” she asked as he turned to face her

Stopping his spray painting and taking the paper he was holding down; he answered her question “Didn’t hear? Word is, he hit again last night. Two dead in the street”

“Who?”

He turned back to her “Ghost Rider” he tells her, but sees she doesn’t know what he means “You must not be from around here” he continued saying as the wall seemed to be dedicated to Ghost Rider

Coulson mentally nodded, confirming that it was in fact Ghost Rider like he’d thought before. From what he could remember is that Johnny Blaze was the current Ghost Rider back in his time, something about making a deal with the devil... but it seems that the one he'd meet in the future would be Robbie Reyes. Still that brought a new question to mind, how is Robbie connected to Blaze and what made him become a Ghost Rider?

“Do you know where I can find him?” Daisy asked as the male turned back towards her

“Nobody does. Everybody that sees his face ends up on this wall” he tells her as Daisy turns back to the decorated wall, her eyes trailing towards the red car near the bottom

“Everyone gets attached to something” she says to no one in particular and walked away

“She’s talking bout the car, isn’t she” commented Gabe with a sigh. Robbie might as well just have a sign pointing at him saying he’s the Ghost Rider since he is sure his brother wouldn't dream of parting with his car anything soon

Switching the scene, it showed Coulson and Mack getting out a car as they walked up to the one that looked to be the manger as he asked them if they were Feds

“Something like that. We’ll be sealing the scene” Coulson tells him

“Not for long, I hope. I was just gonna have this guy tow this thing away so me and my crew can get back to work” the manager says, walking as the two agents followed behind him

“We got this” Mack tells the crew member they pass as he turns his head to reveal it was none other than Robbie Reyes, having listened to what had been said between the manager and the two agents. He looks at them, before opening up the door and stepping into the truck

Many eyes turn towards Robbie once again when he appeared on screen. He knew they wanted to know why he was there in the first place, but Robbie didn’t plan on revealing anything for the time being. Instead, he ignored the stares send his way and kept his eyes glued to the screen

Leading them into the warehouse, the manager keeps talking to the agents “This warehouse usually sits empty. We were gonna store some inventory today. Found the lock broken and this big, honkin’ thing inside. Have at it”

“Thank you” Coulson thanked the manager as Mack opened the truck door, while Coulson lifted up his left arm up, pressing something on his wrist as from his palm, an X-ray view of the inside of the truck was seen as he moved forward

Looking at what Coulson was doing; Mack says in disbelief “Not fair”

“You want tech like this, you should’ve cut off your own hand”

“Mack” Coulson called out as he stopped walking. Together the two of them opened the back of the truck… only to see what clearly looked like a slaughter had been done

Robbie could feel the Rider wanting to be let out at the sight of this. However, he had to remind Him that this had already happened during their time and that they were in no position to leave. While not pleased, Robbie could feel Him retreat back into his mind. He noticed Gabe looking at him as he waved off his concern, knowing he'd probably seen his eyes take on their orange glow

“Looks like these guys tore each other apart” Mack says as they place one of the dead guys on the ground. Coulson grabs a form of ID as he reads what it said “Zhang Wei, resident of Monterey Park. Organ donor”

“Say anything about him being a flesh-hungry rage monster?” Mack asked, even though he knew the answer to that question

“Sorry Mack, but unless you want to meet an actual ghoul, none exist to my knowledge… unless you go to Tokyo. Maybe you’ll meet Kaneki and the other ghouls there” Mari joked from behind the group as Skye and Gabe jumped in surprise at her unexpected comment having been the only ones to have noticed her leave. No one seemed to see that at her side was a brown haired male around her age wearing casual clothing consisting of a turquoise jacket over a violet shirt, dark grey pants and a pair of white running shoes

Skye shook off the shock as she seemed to understand the reference with Gabe also having recognition his eyes soon after “Tokyo Ghoul, right? What? You didn’t think you were the only one to have watched anime, did you?”

“Uh, no, I’m not seeing anything about that here, so we have to assume that he wasn’t until he came in contact with whatever’s in that trailer. Not much here that’ll lead us anywhere”

Mack bent down as he flipped to uncover an insignia from the uniform on the dead guy “Well… there’s that”

Scene switch to show T. Mitchell as a door being slammed was heard. Keys once again being flipped in hands, the unknown figure walked over towards the tied up man before walking over towards his car as the mysterious figure was finally revealed to be Robbie

Based on what little information they had on Robbie, nothing screamed killer or psychopath to any of them, but here they were faced with the truth

Ward glanced at him for a moment. He’d been doing the math in his head and knew that Robbie appearing at the same scene as Coulson and Mack was too much of a coincidence. Not to mention the fact that he had the same prisoner from the beginning and was wearing the same exact jacket as the guy with the flaming skull. Still, he couldn’t explain how it was possible, the guy was clearly human! Super solider, gamma radiation and even outwardly gods, he can believe… flaming skull, not a chance!

Robbie in turn didn’t say anything once again. What could he say anyway? He noticed the new guest beside Mari as he wondered who the heck that was and why he was suddenly included in this gathering, but didn't voice his thoughts as he decided to see if someone else would notice him

“There was no buyer there” Robbie said, his tone clearly not pleased by this as he opened the door of his car with T. Mitchell watching. Hopping into the car, Robbie shuts the door and starts the engine

“No, no, no. No! Please, God, no! No! I don’t deserve to die! No! No!” T. Mitchell cries out

The screen shows Robbie with his hands on the wheel and a dead serious expression “Everyone says that” he said as his eyes gained a glowing orange hue in them before driving forward

“No! No! No!”

“Did you actually have to kill him?” Jemma asked with crossed arms as Robbie just shrugged in response. He wasn’t going to go and tell her his reasons. In the end, he killed him and nothing would change that... unless these past agents decide to change the future 

“Forget that, was it just me or did your eyes suddenly become orange?” Skye asked as she glanced over at Robbie and saw him with normal brown eyes… was it a trick of the light? No, she knows deep down that it wasn’t… still she didn’t want to believe Robbie was evil or anything… not to mention she saw his car gain flames when he drove it forward… it was the same as the beginning and everything was clearly hinting he was the flaming skull figure... but Robbie was human... right?

Mari glanced at the brunette beside her as he narrowed his eyes at what he'd just seen and turned towards Mari who in turn gave him a nod at his unspoken question

"Yeah, those chargers are hard to find. Between “Fast and Furious” and “Dukes of Hazzard,” they wrecked a lot of them" said a man to Daisy holding a picture of the car in question 

"My boyfriend wrecked his in a street race. He’s pretty broken up. I guess he was more attached to it than I thought" Daisy tells the guy

"I ain’t seen none around here, though. Sorry" the man says folding the paper and handing it back to Daisy

Daisy thanked the man as she started walking away before she turns back as the guy says " Hey, uh, most of them wrecked movie cars, they’re dumped at El Monte Junk and Salvage. If your boyfriend wants to fix his ride up, might want to go over there and find scraps"

"Thanks. Maybe he’ll go there" she says leaving with a new destination in mind

No one says anything, only the sound of someone munching on food heard. The only one to actually look at the culprit was the unnamed brunette who saw it was Mari munching on some cookies before gaining a few himself

"Daisy’s in Los Angeles. There was an eyewitness, now dead, and I just received Yo-Yo’s check-in report a week early, which means Coulson and Mack are there, too, no doubt, trying to track Daisy down" Jemma tells May, reading from the tablet in her hand

"Sounds right"

Jemma continues, tablet no longer in her hand "You know it is, because according to the logs, you called Coulson back to H.Q. for resupply yourself. Why, if not to give him that intel in person, knowing it’s against the Director’s orders?" 

"I didn’t send them. I don’t have the authority. They acted on their own" May says with crossed arms

"You knew I’d find out. Why not tell me? I have daily lie detection" Jemma said as May tells her that's why she didn't say anything since Jemma wasn't the best liar. She sighs before saying "And now I have to report it, which means now I either look like I’m incompetent or colluding with you"

"Wouldn’t want you falling out of favor with the director"

Jemma gives a humorless laugh "Okay. I get it. It’s abundantly clear you’re uncomfortable with my new position-" she starts saying before being cut off 

"I just want to know how comfortable you are with it. You actually trust this guy? Our team split up to lead departments, given different colors. 'Cause we’re experts? No. I think the Director broke up the band on purpose"

"Of course he did!" Jemma exclaimed with crossed arms before sighing as she walked closer to May "As soon as Talbot gave the location of this base to the president, things changed. I knew we’d be divided, undermined, kept in the dark, so I have been clawing for as much power as I can possibly grab to keep a modicum of control over any of this" 

"Get your phones out extras in the background and it'll be high school all over again" Mari mumbled making Gabe and the brunette laugh at her words 

"If they weren't trained agents, I bet they'd be doing that" Gabe said in agreement doing how the gossip at school traveled fast

May seems surprised by her words if the look on her face is any indication "After all we’ve been through…" Jemma says before turning in the direction of the spectators watching who try and pretend as if they aren't listening in on the conversation. Jemma doesn't seem to trust them not to listen as she gets even closer to May "I don’t trust the new Director, but he trusts me, so now, in order to keep that trust, I must take the appropriate action to address this break in protocol. I’m sending you and your strike team to take Coulson and Mack out of the field, by force, if necessary. Clean up whatever mess he’s in. That’s an order" 

"Yes, ma'am" May says as Jemma walks away, May turning to face her team before looking away

Mack is back on screen handing devices of some kind out to other agents explaining what to do with them as he and Coulson head off to put their own devices somewhere

"This could be very dangerous. So much could go wrong" Fitz says back on screen drinking a bottle

Gabe, Ward and Fitz glared at the screen for doing such a fast switch like it had done during the beginning. They just hoped they wouldn't do the switching back and forth again like before

"Ultron, yes. I know. But this is not A.I. A.I. is banned, and that’s good. This is mimicry of human behavior" Radcliffe explains holding his own bottle in hand

"Nope! You won't get anything from me about Ultron since that event is coming up for you guys" Mari said in a monotone

"Still, in the wrong hands, this could be used as a weapon. Is that the idea?" Fitz asked gesturing to AIDA

"No, absolutely not. No. Look, I know the dangers. That’s why I’ve been… I’ve been reticent to divulge. I don’t know these new people at S.H.I.E.L.D. But a weapon is absolutely not the idea"

Fitz turned towards AIDA "Well, then, why? What’s she for?" he asked, curiosity hinted at in his tone as Radcliffe took a sip from his bottle

"Why not let AIDA tell you herself?" Radcliffe says getting the remote from before and turning her back on

AIDA looks around as if confused before her eyes land on Fitz "Hello. I’m glad to finally shake your hand, Leopold" she starts walking towards him and holding out a hand which he hesitantly took "Where’s Jemma? We were hoping that she would come" AIDA continued saying, Fitz's hand still held out even after the handshake 

"S-She’s, uh, indisposed, I’m afraid" he says awkwardly before asking something "AIDA, I was wondering…"

AIDA interrupts him with a smile "Yes, Agent Fitz?" 

Breathing deeply, Fitz continued where he was cut off "I was wondering if you could tell me exactly what it is you are designed for"

AIDA turns to Radcliffe who in turn gives her the 'go-ahead' signal "Of course. Dr. Radcliffe, time and again, has expressed his deep regret for causing pain when all he ever wanted was to prevent it. He speaks often of the pain that you and Agent Simmons have had to suffer, having lost so many friends. Lincoln Campbell, Andrew Garner, Antoine Triplett…"

"Okay, stop it, stop. You don’t have to list them" Fitz interrupts her, clearly not wanting to hear about those he'd lost the past few years

Coulson turns to May when he heard her ex-husband's name, her mouth slightly open in shock at hearing he's going to die sometime in between now and the next 3 years. He isn't sure what he could do or say. Maybe they would be able to prevent his death, maybe keep a closer eye on him... 

The remaining agents, not counting Ward, frowned when AIDA did not mention Ward in her list of those lost. Was there something they were missing? They each knew Mari hadn't shared anything regarding Ward's fate. Heck she barely gave him any answers whenever he's commented. It was as if she was hostile towards him and that's not counting the murderous glare Robbie had sent him during one comment earlier

The android apologizes before she continued speaking "The hope is that I will be able to prevent future tragedies, save the lives of agents by putting myself in harm’s way in their place"

This in turn made Fitz question if she meant this by killing which makes her respond with " No. I am incapable of that. I will protect. I will serve as a decoy target, a safeguard… a shield" she finished with a smile

Radcliffe turns her off after Fitz tells him to before he sighs and says how they can't tell Jemma about AIDA. Radcliffe looked surprised by his words 

"This is too dangerous to show the new Director. We don’t know what he’d do with it. And she would have to tell him, so… she can’t know. Not until…" Fitz trailed off, eyes on AIDA

"Until…?" Radcliffe questioned 

"Until she’s perfect"

Everyone gave Fitz uneasy glances at how he wasn't willing to tell Jemma about AIDA. Anyone who knew the two, also knew they were very close, so close it was as if they knew everything about the other. They had never kept anything hidden from the other and wondered how this might affect their relationship. Skye hoped nothing bad would happen, Fitz-Simmons was her OPT other than Philinda!

Jemma had a slightly hurt look at how her best friend, who it would seem would later become her boyfriend, didn't trust her enough to tell her about AIDA. Still a part of her hoped he was doing this because she's a terrible liar and wouldn't be able to keep this hidden from a lie detection test others like May or Ward would be able to do

Scene cut to nighttime; three cars seen driving before the passengers get off

“They’re walking in now, six. Really convivial-looking fellows. At least four of them are packing” Coulson says as he climbs down a ladder, meeting up with Mack

“We should be tapped into surveillance now. Let’s see what we get” Mack says as the two make their way back. Both Coulson and Mack are seen looking at a tablet in the dark skinned man’s hand as footage from inside is seen

A group of men is seen making their way over towards the two workers looking at a box

“Where are the other two men?” asked the one who seemed to be in charge

One of the two workers spoke up “We had to leave them at the pick-up site”

“Explain” said the leader

“Those guys were transferring the box into the armored transport. Maybe they peeked inside or something. But they went berserk and tore into each other. There was blood everywhere. We put two bullets in each of them and locked them in the truck” the same man explained as one of the other men from the group started to advance towards him and grabbed him by the neck “No, no. Look, we were freaking out. We had to get out of there!”

“Did you burn their bodies or dump the truck in the ocean?” asked the leader as silent was the answer from the two workers, before the one in the choke hold shook his head “Because if not, they can be traced back here”

The man grabbing the worker by the neck, released his hold and struck him in the face as his partner went to check up on him before hearing the leader speak up “They probably saw what was in this box and were fighting over it, you idiot!”

The leader was not happy with how this had gone down. He looked over to the worker still standing, before looking back at the box in front of him “I have been told it’s powerful enough to bring our new enhanced enemies to their knees” he said and grabbed the sides, turning the lock that kept it closed

The screen showed Mack and Coulson still watching as Mack turned to Coulson says “We get on comms and call the Zephyr for backup; headquarters will know we’re on Daisy’s trail”

“No orders to pull out. She’s been tracking this sale. She could show up here any minute”

“I don’t know” Mack says, not entirely sure if Daisy would show or not  

"Do I even make an appearance here? Based on what we last saw of me, I was looking for Robbie's car" Skye comments but doesn't get a response from Mari or even Robbie since she was sure he'd know

“Let’s let this play out, see if anyone else makes an appearance” Coulson tells him

Skye feels this would have been the answer she'd get from the two and just decided to keep watching

A pair of familiar black gloves are seen on a familiar looking car as Robbie was seen with his jacket unzipped, holding a hammer in one hand as he walked over towards a bag on the ground containing a few tools. He picks it up and opens the trunk, putting the bag inside and closes the trunk

Locking it up, he was seen flipping his keys as he zips up his black leather jacket and opening the garage doors. Robbie stepped out as he turned around to close the doors, only to turn his head at the sound of a female voice

“Excuse me?” Daisy’s voice could be heard as she was seen walking over towards him  

Robbie was right about the TV showing his fight with Daisy and could see a few heads turning towards him. Robbie swears he’d let the Rider have free reign for one whole day if not one of them have figured it out at this point

Gabe perked up at this scene ‘So this is how they met… and in a junkyard? Still why do I get the feeling this isn’t going to go well?’

“Uh, Yard's closing” Robbie said, locking up the garage doors and seemed slightly surprised that someone was here at this hour “To sell a junker you can call the number up front” he said, walking up to her as the Inhuman turned around, only to face him again

“Oh uh, I’m not here for that, I… uh… what’s your name?” she asked instead with a slight smile

“Robbie”

“Well Robbie, I'm looking for a guy with a sweet black '69 charger. Maybe he bought some parts here?”

“Sorry. Doesn’t ring a bell. I only work nights once a week” he said with a lack of interest, looking down for a moment before looking back up at her

“Oh, well maybe I'll come back in the morning. Thank you” Daisy said, turning around and started walking away

Robbie looks as if he were having an inner conflict, rolling his neck slightly “Or there's a book of sales you can flip through in the main office” he says, stopping her as she turned back to face him “Not really an office, more of a trailer… but I can show you” Robbie offered as if doing a 180 in attitude

“That would be great, thank you” she says and follows after Robbie who is seen with a skulking expression

Heads turned from Robbie to Skye. Neither looked at anyone in turn and kept their eyes on the screen instead to avoid the looks the others were sending their way

Back with Coulson and Mack, they continue watching. The leader opens the box as a bluish-white light can be seen, with his eyes widening. A shockwave of energy from the box, hits the group of men nearby. The men gasp, turning to look at one another in confusion

“The hell…?” Mack asks in confusion as the footage disappears from view

“What was that?” leader asked his men looking around before he hears something “A breath of fresh air” a woman says out of nowhere from over his shoulder before disappearing

Robbie narrows his eyes at the sight of her. Lucy Bauer, former employee at Momentum Labs with his uncle. Right before being transported here, he’d been told the truth about his uncle by her and then killed her since he felt she needed to pay for her crimes ‘Maybe I’ll get the full story now’

He turns around but finds nothing behind him. Looking back to the box, his eyes trailed towards one of his men and sees something shocking. He turns to look at the other men, but sees them in the same state as the other

The past agents watch in disbelief as the group of men are seen going crazy. Gabe wonders just what exactly the shockwave had done to make them act the way they were. His glaze turns to Robbie, seeing the look on his face and the tiny bit of fire in his eyes and wonders if he somehow knew what was happening… wouldn’t surprise him if he did

The junkyard is seen again as both Robbie and Daisy rounded a large white truck. Robbie pointed out to the trailer “That’s it, there”

She walked ahead, not noticing Robbie pull something from his pocket “So you live around here?”

She whirled around to face him “No, I used to. Just in town for a couple of days to visit old friends”

“Strange place to spend a vacation” he said, keys being flipped in his hands once again as Daisy stopped “Not a great neighborhood” she turned, eyeing his hands warily

By now everyone could tell something was wrong. The atmosphere of the scene clearly felt tense as they looked with worry at the screen. Jemma, Fitz and Gabe were glancing from Skye to Robbie knowing that a battle would be unavoidable now

Robbie suddenly lunged for Daisy, only to get blasted and pushed by one of her vibrational waves into a van. However, seems that Robbie wasn’t affected much by this as he pushed himself back onto his feet with Daisy clearly surprised

Grabbing a metal pole, Robbie held it like a baseball bat and ignited it into flames as his eyes were seen glowing an orange hue “So, you've got the Devil inside you too” he said, lunging himself towards Daisy once again, as the Inhuman ran to meet him head on

“Are you one of those Inhumans?” Skye said with an awkward tone since none of them had asked Robbie as turquoise jacket face palmed at the question

“Why does everyone keep asking me that. No, I’m not an inhuman” Robbie denied as he felt a sense at déjà vu as he remembered Coulson asking the same thing and telling Daisy the same 

“You possess pyrokinetic abilities like Chan Ho Yin! And seem to have great control over your powers too! Maybe more than Chan Ho Yin!” Jemma exclaims in slight awe

“How do they work? No wait, how’d you get your powers?” Fitz asked as he and Jemma both wished to know more. Since the appearance of the Avengers, the only powered people they had met were Mike Peterson and Chan Ho Yin. To meet another individual with powers was fascinating to them 

Mari swears if this were an anime, Robbie would be sweat dropping at the questions directed towards him. Robbie wasn't able to say anything more. Oh well, they’ll learn about his origins later on… probably if it shows the day he told Daisy and Gabe his story

Back with the infected group of men, one of the workers bravely asks, “What’s going on, guys?”

“Nice knowing you” Mari says as he and his partner are gunned down by the leader “Extras are always the ones you know will die at some point” she explained at the curious looks sent her way

Mack and Coulson were able to regain visual on what was happening inside as Mack places the tablet down “Call for backup, yeah? We can’t wait for Daisy”

“These guys might kill somebody besides each other” Coulson seems to agree

“Yeah. Us” Mack says before talking into a radio “Z One, we got a situation. We need a little help here”

Neither noticed someone walking behind them until they were shot down by May

“That was efficient” Coulson comments as May walks over to the tablet and plugs in what looked like a USB. She presses on the ONLINE option before tapping something on her goggles. Her squad also copies as they too are seen with the same goggles as she has on her

“You guys know what to do” May says as she and her team walk inside. There they are seen taking out anyone they encounter, not hesitating as they pull the trigger

“Damn” Mack says watching the scene before him from the tablet

“All clear” May calls out as they make it deeper inside. What they find is the group of men seemingly knocked out cold on the ground. May takes her goggles off, not noticing the ghostly figure move behind her. May turns around, having felt something, but finds nothing out of the ordinary and just looks back at the scene before her

Skye, Jemma, Fitz and Coulson glance at May in worry. They had seen what happened to the group of men because of that ghost and didn’t want the same thing to happen to her. Ward takes one look at her before shrugging it off. May was a big girl and could handle herself fine, no way something like a ghost would be able to kill or scare her. She was called the Calvary for a reason too

Daisy and Robbie were seen trading various hits to one another. Neither of them about to give up any time soon, until Daisy was able to flip Robbie and pinned him to a frame. He looked her dead in the eyes, feeling the vibrations holding him in place “You shouldn't have gotten involved”

“Serial killers always complain when you try to intervene” Daisy retorted

“I only kill asesinos who deserve it. It's vengeance Chica” Robbie tells her

“For what? You killed a detective!”

“But he had blood on his hands” he says with a smirk

Daisy struck his face with her other hand. This in turn left a deep cut on his cheek “A schoolteacher!”

Robbie was able to repel her vibrational hold on him as he lunged forward “A pedophile!”

Kicking him and using her powers, Daisy sent him tumbling back into several barrels “You don't get to decide who deserves to die!” she told him, turning to face him once more

“I'm not the one who decides" he says, eyes taking on the same amber hue from before as his flesh was seen burning off to ashes, leaving behind the flaming skeletal figure from the night before

“What the hell?!” Fitz cried out as he jumped out of his seat to be a good distance away from Robbie 

“What are you?” Ward asked, not really believing what he saw. Were there powered people running around in the future or had they just been hiding from them this whole time?

“He's the Ghost Rider, possessed by a spirit of vengeance. However it's neither Zarathos nor Nobel Kale that you have in your possession" said a new voice to the group, finally taking notice of the brunette in the turquoise jacket 'How did you get your powers though. Was it like Johnny or similar to my own origin story?' he thought looking at Robbie with narrowed eyes

"Where did you come from cause I swear you weren't here last time I checked? Actually who are you?" Skye asked the question that was basically on everyone's mind

Mari spoke before he could even reply "He's a friend of mine I thought would be interested in watching with us"

"You told me it was because-" the brunette male started saying only to get cut off by Mari slapping her hand over his mouth

"Meet Danny Ketch aka Ghost Rider! Don't give me that look, they were bound to find out sooner or later" she says with an eyeroll due to the glare given to her by him "He became Ghost Rider younger than you did Robbie and his story is different than your own. In fact I think you'll find Robbie's story quite interesting Danny" Mari continued in a knowing tone that made Danny want to roll his eyes

Daisy looked at Robbie, with a face that went from confident to slightly less confident. She watched as the Ghost Rider made his way around, tearing off a random bumper from a car with his bare hands and igniting it in flames again

He went to attack, only for Daisy to use her powers and send a vibrational blast. This in turn, made him lose his weapon and punched her in the torso as Daisy went down. Grabbing a shelf with one hand, he pulled it down as Daisy acted fast and held her hands out, using her powers to hold it from crushing her

Ghost Rider walked up to her, crouching down onto his knees as he turned his head towards the shelf. He then turned back towards the girl on the ground and almost looked as if he were narrowing his eyes

“Do it, I deserve it” Daisy said, her voice admitting defeat

Ghost Rider kept staring at her, his head tilting slightly as Daisy struggled to keep the shelf from dropping down on her, before repeating the same words. Finally coming to a decision, Ghost Rider stood back up with Daisy looking at him, wondering whether he would kill her or not

“You better not have killed her” May warned as Robbie decided it best to not say anything and let her watch since it was clear none of them, except maybe Coulson, would be willing to trust his words

Ghost Rider just turned and walked away as Daisy let go and rolled out of the way before the shelf hit the spot she had been at. Turning to look at where Ghost Rider had gone of to, Daisy watched as he drove off, grunting in pain as she held her arms before looking back up. It was clear she was wondering why he hadn’t killed her, on account of what the guy with the spray paint told her

“You didn’t kill her” Fitz said, turning back to face Robbie, though still freaked out by what he’d just seen a moment ago “Even when she asked you to end it, you walked away… why? Not that I’m not happy that you let her live, but well according to that other guy, you don’t seem to let others live if they see you”

“That wasn’t the penance stare, right? I mean do you have that ability?” Mari asked wanting to know if Robbie did or didn’t possess the infamous Ghost Rider power that Danny was well known for

"You do remember Johnny didn't possess that power when he was Ghost Rider right?" Danny asked Mari as she rolled her eyes before he leaned in closer "Besides that's my signature move" he whispered making the others wonder what they were talking about

Robbie tilted his head at this. He knows he’s able to see a person's actions, their souls by looking at them and deciding whether they should be killed, but he’d never heard of the penance stare before

“I only hurt or kill people with innocent blood on their hands” Robbie answered Fitz’s question while probing the Rider for more information about the penance stare

"They call me Ghost Rider. I am summoned when innocent blood is shed... and you have shed much innocent blood. Do you dare face the agony of those you have slain?" Danny says in a chilling tone as if he were being possessed by the spirit within him before he and Mari burst out laughing at the various reactions given "Ok, I needed that. You should have seen your faces. Don't worry if flame head over there hasn't gone after any of you, no way would I either"

The others (except Robbie) didn't find this funny, though Robbie had to give them points for freaking the others out since even he had found a few reactions funny like Skye almost falling from her seat since she had been the closest to Danny

Zephyr One was seen flying in the air as the inside showed the men that had been affected in various beds. A tattoo was shown as Piper looked up at Mack before leaving, making the dark skinned man look back down at the tattoo before him

Both Jemma and Fitz lying in the same bed as Fitz reached out, grabbing the remote and turning on the TV. The British scientist snuggled up to her partner as Fitz placed his arm around her, Jemma lying her head over his chest

Jemma and Fitz avoid eye contact at this as aren’t sure what to make of this. Skye held out a hand towards Ward as he sighed, placing a $20 bill in her hand. He knew it was a bad idea to bet against Skye when it came to Fitz-Simmons' relationship

Scene switches again to showcase AIDA before being hidden away once again

Yo-Yo is walking with her headphones on before receiving a message. She takes out her phone and opening up the message she’d received. Looking at the image she saw it was a picture of Ghost Rider from Daisy

Robbie was seen looking at nothing in particular as he rose his thumb over the cheek Daisy had hit. He could feel it was all healed up as he looked at his thumb before dropping his hand

“Whoa not a scratch!” Skye said in awe at how he fast he had healed. She was still slightly wary around Robbie since she saw his transformation, but she wasn’t going to be a scared kid!

“That would’ve been nice to have when Loki stabbed me” Coulson says with a sigh as Robbie and Gabe shared a glance at this, but knew better than to pry 

Jemma wanted to ask Robbie about his healing abilities, but decided it best to maybe wait for later on

Turning his head, a car was seen with none other than Gabe Reyes inside as Robbie walked to meet up with the car, giving his brother a fist bump before moving towards the trunk. Taking out the wheelchair, Robbie helped his brother out of the car

“Thanks for the ride, Janet” Gabe thanked as he was placed on the wheelchair

Robbie passed Gabe’s red backpack over to him “You never accept rides. Bus break down? Or you still trying to holler at Janet’s little sister?” Robbie asks as he pushes the wheelchair

The younger Reyes brother gave a smile at this “Maybe. I only needed a ride to help Canelo balance some books because my brother didn’t finish high school”

“Yo, I finished high school, in the 11th grade” Robbie counters as the two disappeared behind the fence

“I think you missed a grade" Danny commented with a smirk as Mari decided to continue with "You see there are in fact 12 grades you need to complete to finish high school”

Both Gabe and her shared a high five while Robbie just rolled his eyes at the duo. He didn’t say anything since his brother didn’t have many friends, so it was nice to see Gabe interact with someone around his age… even if they were both teasing him

Inside her van, Daisy looked at the two brothers with a pair of binoculars “Everyone’s attached to something” she says before driving off

Back on the Zephyr, May and Coulson are seen playing the game he'd been playing with Mack the other day as May questioned if he spent much of his time in here

"Too much. My wallet’s starting to get sick of it" Coulson joked

"And this is why I stopped betting against others" Danny said with a sigh remember the last time he played against a few of his friends

"That's why I don't bet unless I know I'll win" Mari countered with a smirk making Danny flick her head 

"Your little side mission didn’t go unnoticed" May informed him after looking to see if anyone was paying them attention which Coulson agreed to " The Director will want to have words with you at H.Q." she continued saying as Coulson shook his head making her sigh "No Daisy, huh?"

"No. But she was tracking these guys, so maybe this is a win. I don’t know"

Coulson's voice kept talking as the screen showed Mack with one of the guys who'd been infected before on a bed. "We’re gonna analyze the box it came in" Coulson says back on the screen doing something before continuing "It’s good… to have a moment, just us. It’s been a long time since we had a moment alone"

From May's point of view, Coulson changed appearance before her "You okay?"

May sees Coulson is back to normal "Yeah. Just a long day"

"You're not ok" Gabe points out without warning as he slaps his hand over his mouth at having said that

May sends the teen a look, but doesn't comment on his lack of tact. She knows he was only commenting and not doing it as an insult or anything

"Well, take advantage of the down time. Who knows what tomorrow holds?" Coulson says before the screen turns black

"It can't end there!" Skye complains at the ending

Danny, Mari, Gabe and Robbie sigh at her antics before all four literally point at the screen to where it says 'play next episode'

Chapter Text

It was nighttime and a young boy’s room was seen. A figure was seen walking in the room as it was revealed to be the same ghost woman from before. She turned her head towards the boy before disappearing from view

The boy wakes up when he heard a sound. He pulls himself up before looking under the bed. He gets up and walks out of his room into the living room. There he sees the ghost woman leaning against the fireplace before turning her head towards him

“Get out of there kid” Skye urgers, even though she knows its useless. The others feel the same way as they stare at the screen in worry or concern... well mostly everyone

“Dad! Dad!” the boy shouts as the woman disappears much to the kid’s surprise

The father walks out his room “Hey. Buddy, what are you doing up?” he asks in confusion, walking up to his son

“There was a ghost in there” the boy says looking at the living room for emphasis

The father didn’t seem to believe him, but decided to play along as he bends down to eye level with the boy “There was? Friendly or not friendly?”

“Not friendly” he responds to his father’s question with a shake of his head

“Yeah? Well… it seems like he’s gone now”

“She. It was a girl” the boy insists

The father sighs “Okay. Still, bed” he tells him, directing him to go to his room. However, his attention is pulled towards the broken picture frame on the ground

“Dad, don’t!” the boy calls out, watching his father move into the living room and pick up the frame

“What are you doing in my house?” the ghost woman says now standing in the middle of the room

To name a few, Skye, Jemma, Fitz and Gabe all jumped at the ghost appearing out of nowhere

The father stood up in shock, letting the frame fall out of his hands "Oh, my God! Who the hell are you?” he says, realizing his son hadn’t been joking like he thought

“Joseph! Joe, come here! Hurry!”

“There’s no Joe. We lived here for years. This is our house” the father exclaims as the ghost gets mad and flings herself towards the father

“Dad, I’m scared” the boy says walking up to his father

The father looks up at his son, but what he sees scares him “No. No. No. No!”

The viewers didn’t say anything at this. They just hoped that the father didn’t kill his son due to the craziness the ghost woman seemed to inflict on her victims. Robbie in turn glared at how much damage Lucy seemed to have been doing before he found out about her

Robbie was seen getting out of his house, wearing his signature jacket and tugging on his black leather gloves as he hopped into his car. Starting up the engine, he backed up his car and left his neighborhood. Turning a corner under a bridge, a familiar looking van trailed after him

Robbie remembered that day. If he'd had known she was tailing him, would she still have somehow found him. He knew Daisy was persistent and a good hacker, her listing out information about him during his childhood coming to mind, information that she shouldn't have known that easily

Skye, on the other hand, couldn’t help but wonder why her future self was so persistence… scratch that she knew, since she was also the same. Still, her last round with Robbie didn’t seem to be in her favor and she’d rather be alive than dead. Whatever happens, she just hopes it doesn't end badly for her

Getting out of his car, Robbie placed his keys in his pockets, passing by two men sitting at a table playing a game and nodded at one of the two guys working on a car

“Jefe, no way, no. The ball touched the ground. You could see it” said one of the guys working on the blue car, while Robbie made his way over towards the lockers

“No, no, no, no, no, no. Listen, Robbie will settle this. Hey, Reyes, did you see the game last night?” said the one with a light blue shirt and leaning on the open front of the blue car

“Oh, missed it. I was out” Robbie says, taking off one of his gloves

“What a surprise. You were always out at night for long periods of time” Gabe grumbles as Robbie shot him a look, but didn’t deny anything

“Your brother was out cracking skulls Gabe. Nighttime seemed like the best time... besides Ghost Riders seem to like the nighttime more according to my many sources” Mari says as Gabe shot her a playful betrayed look

“Traitor” Gabe said without malice since he couldn't fault her for her words when they were true... beside he knew she was trying to ease the tension still around him and Robbie due to the huge reveal his brother gave him before coming here without warning. He appreciated her trying so hard though and was starting to slowly see her as a friend

Danny found that Mari had a point with her words. While Johnny had been Ghost Rider, he'd at first only change during the night before figuring out how his powers worked. In his case, it seemed as if crime mostly happened at night back home, though Ghostie did come out in the daytime if innocent blood had been spilled

“Out? Oh, I know your code, man” the same guy says

“Oh, you do, huh?” Robbie tells him, taking the other glove off and facing him

“Sure. I was young once” he says as Robbie noticed something from afar with his work uniform in hand. The same van that had been trailing him, had stopped right at his place of work “Did you at least get her name?”

“Oh-ho” says the other guy with a laugh

Still looking at the van, Robbie answers “Nah, it wasn’t like that”

“Oh, man. We wait this long for a team to come into town, and you don’t even watch” says the same guy that laughed while doing something to the front of the car. Neither seemed to notice Robbie’s attention more focused on the van then their conversation

Robbie turns back towards them both with a playful smile “If it ain’t silver and black, I don’t really give a damn” he says starting to walk away

“Silver and black…” the one fixing the front says, turning towards Robbie who walks into the shop, uniform still in his hands

“Hey, any chance you’ll let me get a picture inside that car of yours? I won’t drive it since I don’t have a driver’s license. Besides I rather not wreak the car, even if it heals” Mari says excitedly as she gives the vigilante a pleading look. The car was cool! Can you blame her for wanting a picture to capture the moment she met Robbie Reyes aka the Ghost Rider!

Robbie sighed. As long as she doesn’t drive his car… he might let her take a picture “We’ll see” he says as he watched her eyes light up in excitement

"You should just let her. Mari wouldn't stop asking me for a picture of her on Ghostie's motorcycle" Danny said with a sigh as Mari sent him a glare at that comment. Robbie seemed to perk up at his words. Was it possible Danny is the Good Samaritan, the one who helped Gabe and transferred the demon into him? He recalled hearing a motorcycle and Mari did say he was a Ghost Rider

"Ghostie?" Ward asked with a raised eyebrow as Danny is seen turning slight red from embarrassment at having used the nickname he'd given Ghost Rider

"He doesn't have to answer if he doesn't want to" Mari defended Danny, probably the only one there who knew the meaning of the nickname

The screen switched to show both Jemma and Fitz in the lab as Fitz comments "As we have discussed, it appears to be a simple empty box"

Jemma turned to him "Yes, one lined with a rare alloy and emitting energy readings off the charts that drove six men insane, but yeah. Simple empty box" she tells him, looking at the screens before het

"Right. Well… Y-You joked about how it would be less of a puzzle if Schrodinger’s cat were in there. Hilarious" Fitz said as he then turned towards another computer screen and started typing away. He suddenly turns back to face the box " But did get me thinking. What if there is something in there in an unobservable quantum stater" he says before starting to slip his hands inside the gloves attached to the box

"Out of phase with visible light?" Jemma questioned, giving Fitz her full attention

"Exactly. So, by using light outside of the visible spectrum and reversing the phase, we get this" Fitz explained as Jemma walks around to see what he's talking about before she gasps and comments that it looks beautiful

"I don't really think we have the same definition of beautiful. It's just a green light" Danny says with a head tilt. Maybe it's a scientist thing or something

"Wonder if it works on invisible ink" whispered Gabe to Mari in a teasing tone

"Teenagers, don't see the beauty in science or what it has to offer" Jemma sighs and wonders if she were ever like this when she was young

"It’s indescribable. Scientifically. I’ve never seen technology like this. Feel like a Dark Ages blacksmith looking at a Tesla"

"Alien? Crystal-like structure, wrapping on itself, or a containment field, maybe, but containing what?" Jemma asks as Mack is seen coming inside the room, stopping to look at the box himself

"Maybe more ghosts. I mean it seemed like that ghost lady was trapped there after all" Skye says and ignores the eye roll from Ward

"I think I know" Mack says as this gains the attention of the two who turn to face him "A family turned up at the local ER this morning. And the father…" Mack says trailing off as he looks at the screens showing different people inside on each screen before continuing "Well, he had the same signs of dementia as our gangster friends over there"

Fitz crossed his arms as he questions if this was near Los Angeles

"Let's see now, supernatural events happening in L.A... let's just get the Winchester boys on the case!" Mari exclaims with a chuckle as Danny rolls his eyes at her reference to Supernatural... though he has to admit the show is actually interesting since it showed much of what he's had to face since becoming the host to Ghostie. Plus it's nice to see how others view the world of demons and supernatural things too 

Skye perks up at this as she turns to face the younger brunette girl "I love that show! I'm on season 6 at the moment. Dean has to be my favourite. Love the way he can joke around while still being serious while on the job"

"Nah, I'll take Sam. I can relate to him, wanting a normal life and having a older brother who made a deal for their younger sibling" Gabe says, joining in the conversation as Robbie rolls his eyes at the comment. He is so not like Dean! The guy is more optimistic and the type who wants to have one night stands with girls

"Am I so old I barely understand the references you keep mentioning" Coulson asks the trio, who in turn give him a glance

"How is it possible you've never watched Supernatural! It's like one of my favourite sci-fi shows! All that the Winchester brothers face throughout the series. I mean I never expected what happened after the season 2 finale with the demons being let out!" Mari exclaims before she, Skye, Gabe and even Danny got lost in their conversation about the show

The others decided it best to leave them in their own little world and turn back to the screen

"Yeah. Now, he said that, uh, there was a ghost in the house and it walked through him" Mack explains

"So he’s suffering from the hallucinations, as well" Jemma says

"If I hadn't seen what I saw before, I would agree with what screen Jemma just said... but well..." Fitz says trailing off

"We live in a world with a super solider from the past, a giant green beast, people lighting up on fire and you find ghosts as disbelieving?" Ward questioned as Jemma shrugs not really sure how to answer that since in a way, Ward was right... nowadays nothing is truly impossible

Mack sees the un convincing expressions on both their faces as he brings out a tablet "Well, that’s what I thought. But as I started going through the footage… There. Maybe he wasn’t hallucinating" he tells them showing them a clear view of the ghost women from the other day. Seems this was enough to convince the two scientists due to their reactions, with Fitz not showing much expression

"We’ve been waiting an hour" May says in a clearly annoyed tone pacing around the room

"I can read a clock, too. His assistant said he’s held up in a meeting. Look at this. Maybe they’re discussing new ways to implement bureaucracy" Coulson tells her as both watched two other agents pass by them over towards another who is standing watch

"He’s making you wait just to remind you he can" May points out

Coulson doesn't seemed bothered by this as he says "He’s pissed. We went after Daisy without clearing it. I’ve been in his shoes before"

"Doesn’t mean he’ll go easy on you"

Coulson just looks at her "I don’t need him to go easy. I’ll own what I did, make my apologies, then head out on our next deployment" he says before turning away from her

"You’re going right back out?" May asks as Coulson sits down on the couch

"Not a moment too soon. All this, the meetings, the waiting, I do not miss that part of the job"

May sits down next to him "It’d still be your job if you put up half a fight"

"Hold on! Is May saying Coulson was like what... boss of S.H.I.E.L.D at one point?" Skye asked in awe and surprise as she wouldn't have actually imagined that "I mean I remember Fitz almost saying that in the last episode, almost calling Coulson director, but I didn't make the connection until now"

Coulson seems just as surprised by this, seems even he hadn't paid attention to that small detail. Why would he have been director in the future... did something happen to Fury?

The two sit in awkward silence before Coulson decides to break it "This room… does it seem…?"

"Like it was decorated by someone who needs to unclench?" May asks as if somehow reading his mind and knowing what he wanted to say, more agents passing by the two seen

Coulson chuckles at that "Yeah, the Zephyr’s feeling more and more like home. In-flight meals could be better, but it’s mine. At least they can’t take that away" he says, tone changing near the end

Fitz, Jemma, Skye and even Ward share a glance at this and know better than to ask, feeling this might be something Mari wouldn't reveal to them as easily

The screen switched back to Canelo's as Robbie is seen walking with a women before passing her the clipboard in his hands "Okay, Mrs. Serrano. Just sign here" he tells her before looking back towards the van still parked at the  entrance as the woman hands him the clipboard back. Robbie takes the paper she signed off and hands it to her "Thanks. Just, uh, take this into the office. You can pay inside"

Mrs. Serrano nods as she walks away, Robbie's attention back on the van. He placed the clipboard over a box with tools and grabs one before making his way towards the van. He opens the door ready to attack... but finds no one inside

"So Paranoid" Skye joked as she whistled innocently when she received various looks

Mari chuckled as she turned to Danny "I know a couple of boys who are just as paranoid. One of them being this guy here"

Danny looked offended at her comment "That was one time! And it wasn't me. Ghostie has just as much blame" he grumbled with Mari giving him an eyeroll. The others were curious about the comment, but decided not to question them at the moment

Robbie heads back into the shop, not noticing the conversation going on between his boss and the female beside him “Ah. Oh, hey, Robbie. So, this girl is telling me…”

“Robbie Reyes” Daisy says from behind with a smug voice “Wow. You look so different from the last time I laid eyes on you”

Robbie turned around to see the same girl from last night leaning against the counter, with a mug in her hands “Long time no see”

“Yeah, it’s been a minute”

"Sarcastic much" Skye mumbled earning a laugh from both Mari and Danny at her words

"I must say, I did not expect Skye to come back the next day after what she went through with Mr. Reyes the day before" Jemma comments, making them all remember the last confrontation between the two vigilantes

"You must have a death wish" Danny says breaking the silence as he receives a few glares at his comment, but didn't much care. Robbie can't help but think how weird it was Danny thought the same thing he had after seeing Daisy that day

Daisy smiles as she pats his boss “I was just telling Canelo here how tight we used to be back at Garfield High. The stories I could tell…”

“What are you doing here?” he asks with a forced smile

“I’m having trouble with my van. Yesterday, out of nowhere, it just burst into flames” Daisy explains with emphasis on the ‘bursting into flames’ part before continuing “And I hear you’re sort of an expert at that kind of thing, so I figured it was time for us to reconnect”

"Reconnect, you just met the guy the day before" Ward tells Skye who in turn shrugs helplessly at that

Robbie watches her, a clear smirk hidden behind the mug she had just happened to place over her mouth and even raises an eyebrow at him

“You were one very determination Chica. Nobody in their right mind would have come back after I let them go” Robbie says with a sigh as Skye decides to take that as a compliment

Robbie works on Daisy’s van, not seeing anything out of the ordinary and probably thought this was just an excuse to get them in the same space “I don’t know. Looks fine to me”

Mari turned to Robbie with a playful smirk “If it were me, I’d have sabotaged the van. Nothing to bad that would kill her though”

“The thought had crossed my mind, but I wanted her to leave more. In the end I think she did the sabotaging herself” Robbie says, thinking back to that day and how he’d even thought of lighting the van on fire had his co-workers and boss not been there “What you have in mind?” he found himself asking the younger brunette as she smirked and leaned close to tell him her idea. Judging by the small smile on his face, he seemed to have found it pretty funny

“The engine caught fire. How is that not a dangerous problem?” Daisy asked as Robbie walked around her and stopped by the door as she leaned on it

“Maybe you should leave it alone. So, you don’t get hurt” he says before looking over at the two others in the room “Or smoked” he added in a low voice, hopping into the van

Daisy sighs and moves to the opposite side of the open door “You claim your victims earn that. Hard to verify all of them” she says in a low tone to not have the other overhear her

"How many is all?" questioned May with a raised eyebrow in Robbie's direction, but he ignored her since even he wasn't all that sure what the kill count was

“Somehow, you tracked me down” Robbie says, focused on the van

“Just to talk. I figured you’re either on the right side of things or…”

Robbie turns to her as he interrupted the Inhuman “Or what? Or else?” he shakes his head, going back to looking over the van “You’re out of your mind coming here. You may know who I am, but you don’t know me or what I’m capable of”

"He has a point. You really shouldn't get mixed up with someone you don't know. Especially someone who has powers" Ward tells her in a serious and slightly worried tone

Daisy laughs “It’s funny you should mention that. I was just thinking of how many memories I have of you, Reyes. Not this “too cool for school” version you’ve got going on now, but… the real you” she says loudly so the others could hear, Robbie turning back to her

“He wasn’t always the, uh, strong silent type?” Canelo asks

“Well, I’ve known him since Crandall Elementary” Daisy responds as Robbie is seen with a tense look and wonders where the heck, she had gotten that information from “He was always quiet, like he was hiding something. The two of us used to hit up the Moonraker Arcade down in Little Tokyo. Isn’t that right, Robbie?” she says with a chuckle

"Remind me not to get the attention of her. I rather not have my personal life blurted out to everyone. Whether they know me or not" Danny whispered to Mari who nodded in agreement

Robbie in turn just stays quiet and glares at her

Daisy turns serious again “Yes, it is, so I’ve seen a side of him that most people haven’t. We used to hang there every day till your uncle would pick you up. How’s he doing these days?” she asks as Robbie moves closer to her

Mari could tell Robbie still wasn’t happy at how easily she got information about him if his current expression was any indication

“Still the hacker it seems” Ward says as Skye gives an awkward chuckle at that and doesn’t dare face Robbie. Looking at it from this perspective… maybe talking about someone’s life like that can be an invasion of privacy, but clearly, she wanted something from him!

Leaning in, he says in a low and dangerous tone “You get lost… or I’ll get angry. So angry, I may not remember what I do to you. Sometimes, I prefer it that way” he warns her

“Do you actually not remember what you do?” Fitz asked, haven’t said much in awhile

Robbie shrugs. It mostly depends on who is in control at the time. However, even if the Rider is in control, Robbie is still conscious and aware of what’s happening. So technically a lie on his part, but either way she didn’t back down one bit… loca Chica “Depends, but I mostly remember everything that happens”

Gabe doesn’t know what to say to this. He actually wished Robbie didn’t remember, but once again his wish was denied. Seems he’ll just have to accept things for what they are

"What about you Danny? You're a Ghost Rider, so do you remember what you do?" Fitz asked the brunette, who seemed surprised to be directed a question. The only ones who mostly talk to him, not counting Mari, were basically Robbie, Gabe and Skye

Danny was quiet for a moment before answering "I mean I can technically influence him with my own actions, but when Ghostie takes over supposedly both our minds are in control. Still there are times I mostly get images, memories of the events once he's done. I think it was different for Johnny though, he seemed to be in control of his actions the whole time unless Zarathos took over. Don't know how the spirit in flame head works though. It's different for all of us since we each have a different spirit of vengeance possessing us"

Skye wanted to ask about who the heck Johnny or Zarathos was, but saw Coulson's expression of recognition after hearing the name Johnny. Seems whoever he was, Coulson had either heard or met the guy. She'd ask another time if she remembers that later down the road

“In front of them?” Daisy challenges, knowing he wouldn’t dare reveal himself

Robbie looks at his co-workers and backs down for the moment, returning to the driver’s seat “It’s just a hose loose. You’re all good” he says, starting the engine

Daisy holds up a hand, using her vibrational powers as the engine stops. Robbie turns to face her as smoke starts to drift upwards before looking forwards again “Oh, no. Look at that. Looks like we’ll be here for a little bit longer” she says, leaning against the door and watched Robbie turn back to her, his expression not one of amusement

“Is it wrong I find this funny” Gabe said chuckling. He didn’t think Daisy could be that stubborn, she hadn't been this way when he'd kicked her out of the house that night

Mari nodded in agreement “His face when she sabotaged her own van though”

“I guess that’s what you meant by her sabotaging her own van" Ward says as Robbie glanced at him before giving a quick nod

"Only two hours late" May says as she and Coulson are seen walking down a hall

"Let’s just get this over with" Coulson said as the two are stopped by what looks like a guard. May tells him to move, but the guy doesn't even budge or break eye contact with May

"He doesn’t appear to be moving"

A few chuckle at Coulson's comment while May rolled his eyes at the obvious

Inside the guard turns towards the open room beside him "Director, they’re here"

A voice calls out telling him that they can be sent in as the guard allows them passage way

Inside is a crowd of agents as the same voice from before was heard speaking "It’s good. I just think that that should be the headline if that’s the sidebar. Right, would you take a note of that?" he tells them as his attention soon turns to Coulson, smiling as he moves towards him "Phillip!"

Coulson shakes his hand "Jeffrey" he greets

"Who's Jeffrey?" questioned Coulson, curious to know about who this man was

No answer was given, making a few turn towards Danny currently sipping on some orange soda as he nonchalantly pointed towards the washrooms. This in turn made them turn to the only other person they could think of who might know the answer

Robbie didn't like how they were staring at him and wondered if this how Mari felt whenever she had to answer questions. In the end he sighed and decided to just give them a very basic answer "He's the big boss" was all he said as Gabe rolled his eyes at the blunt tone his brother used 

Mace turned to May "Agent May" he greets her before sighing "Thanks for waiting. Seems like this job requires you to be an hour behind like all the time" he says as May mumbled something that Mace didn't seem to hear and instead continued speaking " But you already know that. Right, Phil?" he smiled

"Glad you’re here" Mace says before turning away from the duo "Let’s get down to business. Guys, can we have the room for a minute, please?" he asks the others as they start to leave the room before Mace turns his attention to the guard outside "Cecilio, go get yourself a coffee" 

"Look, I get you’re disappointed there was a mission to find Agent Johnson without your authorization, but we had intel that suggested…" Coulson says with Mace getting a couple of water bottles from his mini fridge and placing them in front of the two, May moving hers away 

"Any chance you'd be willing to install a mini fridge into my room on the BUS?" Skye innocently asks as Coulson gives her a look "Or not..."

Mace interrupts him as he sits down "Phil, it’s okay. She was your friend. Loyalty’s a good thing"

At this Coulson seemed surprised "But I had a whole speech ready"

"Sure it’s good. Use it next time. But today, you impressed me"

May seems skeptical "You’re impressed? Really?" as if the idea of Mace being impressed is a foreign concept 

Mace in turn doesn't let her words get to him "Yeah. I try to live by a simple rule, a team that trusts is a team that triumphs. Right? I mean, you get that. You… You get how I think"

"I mean if you can't trust your own team, who else can you trust?" Fitz questioned as he could understand what Mace was trying to say

"Be careful who you end up trusting. Sometimes those closest to you end up betraying your trust" Mari says making few jump up in surprise at her return. Ward in particular was looking at her with narrowed eyes due to her words. What did she mean by that? He was starting to suspect she knew the truth about his loyalties, with Robbie and possibly Danny probably knowing as well

No one in turn says anything after hearing her words, wondering if she was foreshadowing some event that would happen without telling them specifically what it was. Danny in turn gave her a concerned look, but she shook her head and gave him a small smile to not worry him

"Then why do I still feel like there’s a “but” coming?" Coulson questioned

Mace continued as if Coulson hadn't said anything "And trust is important, especially now"

Coulson seemed to realize something then and there "Ah. Not a “but,” an “and.” And Daisy’s a problem because you need the public’s trust, given that you’re about to unveil S.H.I.E.L.D. as a legitimate agency again"

"Wait what is that supposed to mean? Like isn't S.H.I.E.L.D known throughout the world already!" Skye exclaimed in shock

"Don't look at me. I might know a lot, but doesn't mean I know everything. And don't bother asking Robbie or Gabe for answers since I doubt even they know the full story" Mari says in a teasing tone making Skye pout at the lack of information

"We’re preparing for an official announcement, yes. So it’s kind of a bad time for a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent to be robbing banks"

"I don't know if I should be insulted by that comment" Skye mumbled

"She would never get in the way" Coulson defends

Mace leaned closer towards Coulson "Hey, I’m only talking PR here. And I’m sure you don’t like hearing about optics, especially since Agent Johnson was your friend"

“Optics?” May questioned

"The way things look, the package we present" Mace tried to explain only for May to response that she knows what that means and that it seems trivial

"Try to understand that this is a very delicate stage. Public opinion matters a great deal. Without it, everything falls apart. And I don’t want your friend responsible for destroying everything that you have worked so hard to rebuild here"

Coulson tries to reassure him that it won’t come to that

Mace smiles before turning to May "There’s an issue I’d like to discuss with Agent Coulson alone. Could you give us a minute?" he asks her as May gets up and starts to leave before hearing her name "And, Agent May… I can tell you’re the one to keep an eye on"

What neither one notice is May's uneasy expression before leaving the room

May ignores the glances sent her way, but does feel grateful for their concern

"Melinda May" Mace sighs "Now, there’s a riddle I’d like to solve" he continues as Coulson wishes him luck with that

This made a few of them chuckle at the words exchanged

Mace drops all the playfulness and seriously says "Phil… I got a special assignment for you"

The screen now shows a screen showing an image of what went down last night as Mack is heard saying "Wait, wait, wait. So, this woman caused a disturbance in Chen and his people with a touch?"

"Yeah, it seems there’s something to do with physical contact, but how is she incorporeal?" Fitz says with a sigh as if they were getting nowhere

Robbie and Danny both roll their eyes. Scientists, always needing an actual scientific answer, when it's simple and right in front of you

"Maybe a multidimensional event caused it. Like Tobias Ford" Jemma suggested

"Yeah? Or perhaps a matter-energy phase shift. You know, if the box is utilizing phase shifting…"

Mack seems to just say the obvious "Ma-Maybe she’s just a ghost" 

This makes both Jemma and Fitz go silent as Fitz looks away, while it makes Jemma have a playful expression as she says "That’s also a theory"

'Why is it so hard to believe in ghosts or demons? The supernatural does exist!' Danny complained mentally at the lack of faith in both scientists. Not everything is explained by science! Heck he barely understands Ghostie's own backstory! Danny subconsciously rubs his hand, tracing the mark on his hand and could slightly make out Ghostie's feelings from the void

Fitz turns back to the screen as he pointed out something "Look, the alloy in the box itself is very rare. It’s only made at Momentum Labs in three locations around the world" he says switching to show three locations

"Or was. All three have been shut down for years" Jemma says taking a closer look

"Yeah, so you’ve got New York, Pasadena…"

Mack perks up at hearing that as he interrupts "Pasadena, California. Hold on" he turns to grab a tablet from a nearby table before turning his attention back to the two scientists "Yeah. The family that checked in to the ER? They live in Pasadena. I’ll requisition a Quinjet for us" Mack continues before walking away

Fitz gets up as well, grabbing his jacket from the chair "Yeah, I’ll come, too. Simmons can’t"

"I’m stuck. Assignment for the Director" she says in a clear voice she rather go and do something else

Mack looks back at her "Seriously?"

"Oh, you know, “a team that trusts is a team that triumphs"" she says in a mocking voice

Mack looks at Fitz before turning back to Jemma "W-What’s he got you doing?"

"Oh, well, that’s the best bit. “My expertise is needed here for a tour"" she says in a mocking voice

"Tour?"

"Frankly I don't understand it either, so can't really explain to you why someone would try to give a tour" Mari says with a shrug since she didn't quite see how a tour would help the public's view of S.H.I.E.L.D, but what does she know

"A what?" Coulson asks walking down the hallway with Mace

"It’ll be fun"

"Define fun" May says in a monotone

Coulson didn't seem to agree "It’s not my job anymore, Jeffrey. And wouldn’t my time be better spent in the field instead of-"

Mace interrupts him "Instead of walking some overly pampered U.S. Congress people around your private base? Maybe. You love this stuff. History, SSR trivia, that’s where you shine"

"You’re just complimenting me so I’ll do this"

Mace stops and turns to him "I’m complimenting you because it’s true. Look, you’re the expert on all things S.H.I.E.L.D., not me" he looks around a bit before continuing "And we both know why I have this job"

"Why is he director of S.H.I.E.L.D anyway? Fury would never step down that easily" Ward couldn't help but question the one question on the agents heads. He'd heard enough about Fury to know he wouldn't go down easily in a fight after all... so either Hydra killed him or something else happened

"But what I don’t have is the anonymous, unlimited funding you seemed to have before. To build billion-dollar airplanes? No. Our budget hinges on the U.N. and the Sokovia Accords and on impressing the House Appropriations Committee" Mace says as he chuckled "I can’t do that myself. Please" he says as Coulson just stares at him

"You're going to help him. It's what you do" May tells Coulson, who nods in agreement

The screen switched to show a sign saying 'Momentum Alternative Energy Lab' before switching to the inside and showing the same ghost from before making her way into a specific room before phasing through it. She's seen looking at the machine in the middle of the room, the sound of electricity crackling heard

She makes her way to the computers, sitting down and typing away before turning towards the boxes behind her that seemed to be connected to the machine. Getting up, she moves towards him

"Is anyone not going to comment on how a ghost is somehow able to sit on a chair without falling through it?" Skye asks

"Ghosts have the ability to become intangible, allowing them to phase through any physical matter. If they focus enough they can become corporeal allowing them to become tangible and do things as if they were alive" Danny says remembering having read that somewhere while he was doing research on supernatural beings during his first month of being Ghost Rider

She opens the first box, the energy becoming that of a man "Hugo" she calls out as he turns to face her

"What happened? God, Lucy, look at you. What did he do?"

"What did that guy mean when he said 'what did 'he' do?', who exactly is the he?" Gabe asks having been quiet for quite awhile now as Robbie tries not to glance over at his little brother, knowing if he said anything he might make things worse... it was bad enough how he reacted when he revealed the truth about him, how would he react when he finds out the truth about their uncle

Lucy walks closer to him as she looks him from head to toe "Hugo…"

Hugo seems confused "What?" he asks before looking down and seeing his hand which wasn't even their before reappearing slowly "Oh, my God. No. Where are the others?"

"Trapped in these cells, like us. Now, I know this is confusing, but I need you to focus" she explained

"Focus? Look at us. What did he do to us? He has to pay. We have to find him. We could’ve been in there for hours" Hugo angrily says

Lucy looks sympathetically at him "Hugo, we have been in there for years" she tells him as his eyes widened at the information

'I wonder if they feel like Ghostie who was floating around in the void for who knows how many years before I became his host?' Danny though in slight sympathy. He's had his fair share of time in the void and it's not fun. He turns to Robbie, wondering if he has the same experience as him or if it's more like his brother instead

Back at Canelo’s, Robbie slams the hood of the van down “What do you want?” he asks, walking past her to reach a toolbox

“I looked into your kills. Some of them check out”

Cleaning his hands with a towel, he says “I told you. It’s-”

“Vengeance” Mari, Gabe and Danny repeated with smirks. It could be said this was going to be Robbie’s catchphrase at this point

"You do seem to say that a lot" Skye couldn't help but add as they all chuckle at the annoyed expression on his face

“Right” Daisy says with a slight eye roll “Well, “vengeance” seems to put you on the same track as me. So, tell me what you know”

“Look, detective, they got what they deserved. End of story” Robbie says throwing the towel away

“All right. Now I’ll tell you what I know” Daisy starts, moving closer towards him “There’s a group called the Watchdogs. They’re hunting people like us”

“Us?” he repeats

“Inhumans” Daisy clarifies

“That’s not what I am” Robbie says at the same time as his screen self did. Are Inhumans the only ones out there with powers? What happened to Captain America or Hulk? Neither of them are Inhumans!

“I’d still like to know where his powers come from” Fitz grumbled with arms crossed

Mari had to hold back a smirk at the reaction Fitz, Jemma and maybe even Ward would give. Skye was likely to also react, but might not deny anything like the other three would

“Look, I… I know what you’re going through. I’ve been there, and I know that it’s hard to understand, but killing people is not…”

“You’re here to counsel me? You want to save my soul?” he says quietly “I’m telling you, girl, I sold mine”

Daisy looks at him with disbelief “To the devil?”

“He was the only one buying, you know?” he says with a tight smile as Daisy doesn’t know what to say to that

“You sold your soul?” Jemma starts with a clear tone that says she’s not buying that

“To the devil?” Fitz finishes. When he had asked for where his powers came from… he didn’t expect that

“You guys fight against the impossible at times, is it that crazy to believe Robbie sold his soul and gained powers because of that?” Mari says unamused making Jemma turn towards Danny who was seemingly telling Gabe something

"Danny, you are also a Ghost Rider are you not? How did you gain your abilities?" she asked the younger Ghost Rider who rose an eyebrow at her question

"My story is going to sound just as crazy. I was a normal guy who'd never even heard about Ghost Rider until a twist of fate activated a curse placed on my family bloodline" Danny says nonchalantly as Mari face palmed at his blunt response "What she asked, I gave her the story"

It was quiet until Gabe broke it "Cursed?" he questioned in a shocked tone, while Coulson made a note to research the family bloodline of Daniel Ketch and see just what exactly is going on

Danny lifted up his hand to show them his mark "Like I said, my family is basically the inheritor of a mystical curse. I ended up being the unfortunate soul"

“Look, I’m done talking. You want to throw down again, we could do that. I like my chances. You want to turn me in? Try it. I’ve got nothing to lose” Robbie continued, having stepped closer towards Daisy

“You may not, but Gabe might be a little sad to lose his big brother” Daisy threatens as Robbie looks at her with restrained anger at the mention of his brother “You’re all he’s got”

Mari pokes Skye as she turns towards the brunette “Word of advice, never threaten someone with powers from hell with their family members… nothing good comes out of that”

Skye can agree to that “Probably not my brightest idea”

“You think. You’re literally just asking him to kill you by doing that” Ward says with a sigh at how dumb that was of her

“Robbie! Listen, I got to take the truck, drop off a GTO in Palm Desert” Canelo calls out from beside the entrance

Still keeping his eyes locked on Daisy, he responds to Canelo “Take all the time you need. I’ll lock up”

“Andale. Mañana” Canelo says, shutting the door behind him

Hearing the door close, Robbie turns away from Daisy and grabs a wrench from a nearby toolbox “Now, you? You shouldn’t have mentioned my brother” he says darkly as his eyes glow orange and the wrench catches fire. Daisy looked on, but deep down she knew she’d just screwed up

“You got guts Skye I'll tell you that much” Mari says with a hint of being impressed she'd stand up to someone in possession of a Spirit of Vengeance

“At least we had 3 years to have missions with each other”

“I’m happy I was able to meet you”

“What flowers do you like so I can bring them to the funeral”

Skye looked at them with confusion and betrayal “Why are you all acting like I’m about to die?” she asks, locking eyes with Fitz, Jemma and Ward

“You realize you just made the guy with a flaming skull mad… you got lucky the first time, no way he’ll let you go a second time” Fitz says as the others nodded at his words

Daisy is seen backing away with an arm held out “Doesn’t have to go this way”

“You’re wrong” Robbie says as Daisy aimed towards the car above them, making it get lose and come crashing down towards the mechanic

Robbie comes from behind the car, wrench no longer in hand as he moves to the car that she’d used against him. Grabbing hold of the exhaust pipe, Robbie continued his way toward her and lid up the weapon in his hands

Daisy aimed at a cart, but he easily dodged it. Daisy was able to dodge the first attack, but the second one hit her arm, causing her to gasp and fall on the ground

Robbie looked at her from above, before throwing a punch and knocking her out cold 

"Point Robbie. Score so far, Robbie-2 and Daisy-0. Winner Robbie Reyes!" Mari announced as if this were a sports game

Robbie rolled his eyes, while Skye in turn wished she could have at least gotten one point. This will not look good on her resume

May was walking down the hall before calling out to the Piper, who in turn turned around and made her way towards May "Piper. Get the squad ready. Training in 10" 

"Yes, ma'am" said Piper as May questioned her on the use of title. Piper in turn continued saying "Is there a different title you’d prefer? Commander? Sir?"

May in turn tells her to stick with her name as Piper says "I can do May. I can do that, May"

This earned a few laughs with May rolling her eyes

May watches Piper leaves before she turns around and noticed the group further down the hall, hearing Mace's voice as she stopped and leaned against a wall " Agent Carter herself didn’t know it all" he was saying before grabbing Coulson's shoulders "Oh, but this guy? This guy’s our real expert. He actually does know it all"

"I know some SSR history. It’s not a big deal" Coulson says

Mace seems to disagree with his statement "No, no, no, no. He’s being modest. Not only does he keep this place running, I bet he could tell us the exact year it was built"

"1949" Coulson tells them before deciding to continue as the group resume their walk around the base " Uh, one interesting fact… Peggy Carter herself oversaw construction of this base. Most people know the legend of Peggy Carter, but there’s so many stories that were never recorded. I remember one time…"

However when the group passed by May, she saw their faces shift and had a scared look on her face after seeing this

No one says anything, but May does seem to notice the intense and worried expressions on many faces. The only ones not to look worried are Ward, who she knows isn't one to share his emotions easily. Other than him, Robbie, Danny and Mari also seemed calm making her ease up slightly as she believes this means she'll be fine

May is seen outside the holding cell containing Chen as she says "You’re seeing their faces, aren’t you?" 

Chen doesn't even look at her, but does reply "Everyone else… what’s wrong with them? Why don’t they see it?" he questions

"I do" May tells him as Chen stands up and moves a little closer to the door "How do I help them?" May asks, but Chen tells her she can't. May doesn't believe him, telling him that there has to be a way to help them

Chen suddenly flings himself into the door screaming out "It’s everywhere! It’s everywhere! Everywhere! Everywhere!" he starts banging his head on the glass, blood starting to appear "Everywhere! Everywhere! Everywhere!"

"Remind me to stay the hell away from ghosts!" Skye exclaims in horror at the scene before her and sends Mari a glare "And don't say it could have been worse"

"What exactly is going on to him? Will Agent May suffer the same if this keeps up?" Gabe asked in concern for the agent. He wasn't quite sure if he'd met the agent during his time on the high tech plane and as such wasn't sure if she was somewhere else when the whole thing with hiding Daisy and Robbie happened or if well....

"What the hell is happening?" Jemma asks with May turning around only to see Jemma's face the same way as she'd seen earlier 

Jemma moves towards the door, Chen still repeating the same word over and over again. Jemma is seen hitting the 'Tranquilizer Gas ' option on a tablet, watching as the cell is flooded with blue gas, making Chen stop " He’ll nap for an hour. May, what happened? Did you say something that made him…?" she turns around only to see that May was no longer there

"She's like Batman!" Mari says with a chuckle at how she'd pulled the disappearing act flawlessly like a certain Dark Knight

"Batman?" questioned Ward with a raised eyebrow. Where did these guys get their names? 

"You wouldn't have heard of him. Don't worry, you'll never have the pleasure of meeting him" Mari says with a smile as Danny chuckled at the reactions from everyone else and decided to take pity on them "He's a vigilante in some place called Gotham, no powers just martial arts and gadgets. Plus from what Mari tells me, he seems similar to Moon Knight"

Coulson takes note of this, having never heard of Gotham before and planed to research this. Still what Mari said got him thinking that she was leaving information out concerning this Batman character. Also who was Moon Knight?

Meanwhile in the air, the Zephyr is seen flying as both Mack and Fitz are typing away on their tablets "Shame Simmons couldn’t come with us"

Fitz doesn't even look up from his tablet as he responds "Seems the new parameters at H.Q. come with nothing but more paperwork"

Mack looks up slightly "Yeah, you’re telling me" he look back down at his tablet turning it slightly "Inventory before deployment? I mean, this is a-a lot of numbers. I’m a mechanic, not an accountant"

The agents watching frown at this. New rules seemed to have been placed

"You’re an engineer, Mack. And a small tank" Fitz says in a blunt tone before looking back down

Mack is seen looking confused as he taps at the device in his hands "I can’t tell if some of our medication supply is missing or… I’m just too fried to figure it out"

"You are looking a bit more feeble than usual"

Mack raises his head "Thank you for that" he says playfully before the two look back down at their devices. Mack sighs, placing his tablet down "It’s these long deployments, Turbo. Weeks at a time. I mean, Coulson loves it, but the isolation gets to me"

"Have you been seeing Yo-Yo?" Fitz asks as Mack says that they 'Skype occasionally'

Fitz continues with "Well, at least you’re not on the wild goose chase for Daisy anymore"

"When someone doesn't want to be found, they don't make it easy for anyone to find them. Besides Daisy is a hacker and would easily be able to throw you off her trail if she wants to" Mari comments as Fitz looks at Skye sadly

Mack looks directly at Fitz saying "We tried, man. I promise you"

"I believe him. He doesn't seem like the type to easily give up" Fitz comments. He has hopes that they will bring Daisy home

Fitz nods saying he knows they tried. He looks at his watch before telling Mack that should be landing in about an hour

Back at the lab, it seems all the ghosts trapped in the boxes were finally free. One of them is staring at his hands " All those years…" he says, not believing what he was seeing

"My wife… she’s out there. My life…" 

"Calm down" Lucy interrupts, doing something a couple feet away from the other two

"I don’t have time to be calm. What that backstabber did to us…" Hugo continues, but gets cut off

"It wasn’t just him. It was you. We trusted you" the new ghost added as Lucy says that she had no idea this would happen and how it wasn't her fault. The new ghost, Fredrick continued saying " You shouldn’t have used the Darkhold"

"Darkhold?" Skye questioned, not seeing how Danny's eyes widened at hearing that. Robbie glanced at the younger Ghost Rider and wondered if he'd encountered the book before

"I've heard rumors. Nick Fury has tried to find the book himself, but never did" Coulson comments and wonders just how these people were able to find it

"It's a book of sins, damned, spells, whatever you want to call it" Danny starts saying, glancing at Mari who gives him an encouraging nod. She knew about his own dealings with the book, "It basically contains transcribed dark magic based on ancient engravings carved by some demon or dark entity called Chthon. Also something about anyone who reads it loses their mind or soul. Heck I never even heard about the book until meeting the Darkhold Redeemers"

"Darkhold Redeemers?" Ward questioned with raised eyebrow. First demons, now magic evil books? The future is crazy and if he's dead, he rather stay dead than face that craziness

"Sam, Louise, and Vicki. They dedicated themselves to saving the world from the Darkhold. Then we also got the Midnight Sons, group consisting of supernatural vigilantes, to fight against Lilith and other supernatural threats" Danny non-chalantly says with Mari face palming as everyone is just left even more confused. Robbie does take note of the fact that the Rider had gone very quiet (which he never was) when Danny had mentioned the name Lilith

"He’s right. This is all because of your obsession with that damn book" Hugo says in agreement

Lucy looked back at the two, the computer screens seen "No. That book can help us now. Fix us" she says

"Or give you the power you wanted in the first place. Like we could ever find it. He’s years ahead of us"

"Oh. We will find the book and kill him along with anyone who tries to stop us" Lucy says in determination

Daisy was seen tied up to a chair, still unconscious as Robbie walked into the room, holding a box. He slams the box onto the talk as this causes Daisy to gasp in surprise and wake up. She looks around, trying to get free from the rope currently holding her in place. In doing so, it causes her pain as she winces

Robbie looks at her "I’ve seen a lot of breaks. Your arm is fractured, not broken" he says as she keeps trying to desperately get free "Keep trying to bust out of that, I can’t guarantee it’ll stay that way"

"What are you doing?" Daisy asks as she watches Robbie looking through the box, containing all her notes and stuff

"Looking for proof" he tells her, opening up a passport to see a picture of Daisy with glasses. He turns to look back at her "You see, this is new for me. I’ve never been…"

"A kidnapper?"

"He's kidnapped before. Does the guy he killed who he'd kidnapped before not ring a bell?" Ward sarcastically says before glaring at Skye for her comment on how he was being too sarcastic

"I'm guessing he was going to say caught instead" Gabe says with a sigh, knowing that it was true that his brother had never before been caught by anyone. Otherwise it would have been on the news already 

"Caught" Robbie corrected as Daisy just stares at him

"Told ya" 

"You know who I am, which is a problem. For both of us. A problem that has to go away" he continues telling her, going back to shifting through her stuff

"Threaten me all you want. You think I’m afraid to die?" Daisy questioned

Robbie turns back to her "I think you want it. No doubt. You got a death wish. Coming back to find me after I let you live. You told me not to. Said you deserved it. I’m just looking for proof that you do"

Daisy then question what he'd do if he does find what he's searching for as Robbie replied with " My problem goes away. And your wish comes true"

May and Coulson frown at Daisy. Whatever happened, it clearly affected her more than she let on if she was that willing to die. She was on her own, cut off from them all... they were worried to find out what caused her to become this way. But at the same time, if they knew, they would be able to prevent it from happening

"Vincent, calm down" Lucy tells the latest ghost now seen on screen as he tries to speak, but no words are heard

"Well, he has it the worst" Hugo comments as Vincent continues trying to make his words heard even if he couldn't speak them

Everyone decided best to ignore the science twins as they both started speculating on why Vincent was affected worse than the other three ghosts

"I think he wants to know your plan" Fredrick says leaning on the door with Vincent motioning towards him as if agreeing that's what he wanted to know

"We’re gonna find the book and reverse what’s been done to us. We’ll make this right" Lucy starts saying as Vincent ducks down "Hugo, you take those power cells. We’re gonna need them. Vincent and I will look for Joe. And you…"

Fredrick interrupts her "I’ll burn this place to the ground"

"Sometimes we might burn a few places down, but it's not we'll do it on purpose" Danny said with crossed arms as Gabe chuckled at the reaction having seen the glances thrown their way

"We all need to work together" Lucy argues

"I’m done working for you. I mean… look what happened to us" he tells her, walking into the middle of the room as Lucy slowly approaches him and says " It would be smarter…"

"You were never smarter! You just had the damn book. You don’t control me anymore, Lucy" he angrily tells her as Lucy tilts her head slowly "Take the boxes. But I’m destroying this place"

Vincent surprises them as he slams a box to the ground, making them all turn around

"I swear this almost feels like a horror film, waiting to surprise you" Fitz says having been one of the few to have jumped in surprise

"I swear watching this will make me have a heart attack" Skye says in agreement

"You’ve got ghosts haunting you. Something in your past you can’t live with. You could just tell me" Robbie says, now sitting in a chair holding what looked like a clipboard full of pages

"Haunting me? This coming from the guy who thinks he’s possessed" Daisy says in a blunt tone

Danny turns towards Skye with narrowed eyes "Is the title 'Spirit of Vengeance' not clear enough?"

Mari leans in close to Danny "I though Ghostie was the Angel of Death and Judgement" she whispers as Danny shrugs "Even Nobel doesn't quite understand it"

"I thought that was just a title, not that you actually are possessed by a Spirit" Skye lamely says, rubbing the back of her neck as Robbie rolled his eyes

Robbie doesn't correct her words "I prayed for vengeance. I got it. You? Fighting to right every wrong, all the while begging to be taken out. Seems to me your thing is serving penance" Robbie tells her as Daisy looks down and sees Robbie holding a notebook. He flipped through it before stopping, finding a picture of someone and holding it up "You know, we’re not so different, you and me. Yeah, you just feel bad for the dead in your wake. I don’t feel anything"

"Who is that?" Skye questioned curiously. Whoever he was must be important to her if she kept a picture of him... still what Robbie had said about 'feeling bad for the dead in her wake'... did he die and was she responsible for his death? Is that why she left S.H.I.E.L.D?

Mari sighed "His name was Lincoln Campbell. He was an Inhuman doctor who became part of S.H.I.E.L.D. He basically possessed the ability to manipulate electricity and died a hero, sacrificing himself to help take down an enemy you'll encounter later down the line" she said, noticing the guilty look Robbie had

Gabe frowned and wondered if Robbie was telling the truth. Did he not feel anything when he killed those he's hunted?

"If that were true, you would’ve killed me by now" Daisy replied, Robbie looking up at her "Are you really telling me you don’t feel curious about what’s going on out there? You hunted those skinheads down. Why?" she asked and wondered why he hadn't felt the need to find out any answers to what was happening

"They spilled innocent blood"

"Seriously? That's your response" Ward said in a sarcastic tone of voice with Robbie sighing before Danny decided to speak up and defend his fellow Ghost Rider

"I'd like to see you deal with Ghostie. His whole 'mission' is protecting the innocent and getting vengeance when innocent blood is spilled"

Coulson seemed to recall Blaze telling him something similar after his first encounter with the stunt cyclist. He turns to Mari and wonders why she hadn't brought the motorcyclist

"Wow. Listen to you. Take yourself seriously much?" she says in a slight sarcastic tone "They were working with the Chinese. Does that happen a lot around here?"

Robbie was quite at her words "Didn’t think so. And outfitted with RPGs. You’re not interested in how these things are connected? Look, I know that the big picture is kind of lost on you, but someone is arming them, uniting them, and that should concern us both"

"I said I’m not what you are"

"Does Super Solider Captain America, God of Thunder Thor or gamma radiation Hulk not ring any bells in the future?" Ward comments yet again in a monotone. Was being an Inhuman the only way to get powers or something in the future?

"You’re enhanced, and you just said that we’re not that different. I’m sorry, but you just said that… like 10 seconds ago. They won’t stop until a lot of people are dead"

"Or they are" Robbie counters

Daisy continues "And who knows what kind of weapon they stole from the energy lab in Pasadena. Still haven’t been able to dig up any infor-"

"Wait. What did you say?" Robbie says cutting off her words as if the words have meaning to him

Daisy doesn't show it, but she was slightly confused "Momentum Alternative Energy Lab. Printout right there in your hands"

Robbie looks at the pages in his hands at her words "Best I can tell, that’s where they stole the weapon from. But it’s been shut down for years" she says as Robbie slams the pages down into the box "Wait. Does that mean something to you?" Daisy asks and watches as Robbie grabbed something "Robbie! No! Robbie!" she screams as Robbie places tape over her mouth before leaving her

"You really think that would have kept her from following you?" Gabe questioned as Robbie doesn't say anything. To be honest he hadn't actually expected her to escape that fast. Thinking back on it, she must have used her powers cause he sure doesn't think she'd cut the rope. She really did not seem to care about her wellbeing, not listening to him about not trying

Daisy closes her eyes in concentration as rumbling could be heard before a wave of energy is released, making the rope snap off her body, She grunts in pain, holding her stomach before ripping the tape of her mouth and rushing after Robbie

Skye wonders if perhaps she would be best not gaining her powers. The thought of having to deal with broken bones wasn't something she'd like to have in the future

Robbie on the other hand had reached his car and was starting the engine just as Daisy opened the door. He left the shop just as Daisy arrived on the scene. Not willing to let him escape, Daisy aimed her powers towards the ground and was suddenly in the air. Landing on the roof of the Charger, Daisy held on as tight at she could

"I don't know whether to be proud or terrified you'd risk hurting yourself by jumping onto a car's roof" Coulson says with a pointed tone as Skye looks away sheepishly 

Robbie tried shaking her off, but Daisy wasn't willing to let go any time soon. He did a series of twists before turning a corner and suddenly was in a tunnel. Robbie seemed to have enough and allowed part of his car to get engulfed in flames as Daisy held a hand out towards the flames before having to let go and tumble onto the ground, grunting and panting

Many had their eyes widen at seeing Daisy knocked off the car and were glad she seemed to still be in one piece, though many did sent glares towards Robbie

"Did you seriously make her, with her broken bones and everything jump off the roof of your car?" Fitz questioned in shock as Robbie doesn't say anything on the matter

May was seen entering the training room, seeing Piper standing with crossed arms and two other agents training with pads on. May stops, staring for a moment before leaving the room without a word said

Jemma is then seen entering the lab holding a tablet in her hands and stops to see the tour group as Coulson welcomes her " Ah. Agent Simmons, there you are"

Mace introduces her "Here’s the Special Advisor of Science and Technology. Glad you could finally make it"

Jemma seems to connect the dots "Yes, because we were supposed to meet 15 minutes ago. Right. Unfortunately…" she says but is unable to say more as Mace talks over her

"Well, luckily, the United States Congress is used to waiting around. Right, guys?" Mace says as Jemma turns towards the screen beside her, watching as what looked like Chen was placed onto a stretcher, moving the screen away from prying eyes. Coulson sees this as he catches Jemma's glance, not listening to what Mace was going on about and only hearing the last bit "-who's honestly changing the world" Mace finishes, turning towards Jemma

"Oh, I don’t know if I’m doing that"

"So why don’t you go ahead and tell us what you were working on that kept you?" Mace asks as Coulson and Jemma share a look "Word of advice… everything she does is hugely fascinating and I understand none of it, so feel free to smile and nod. It’s what I do"

"Well, I was just in the containment rooms" Jemma starts saying

"Ah, yes. One of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s most important advances in recent years. It uses adaptive materials to contain enhanced individuals and actually neutralizes their powers" Mace explains as Coulson had moved towards the screen and watched what it was that had caught Jemma's attention

Coulson turned to the Jemma from his own timeline and watched her frowning at the screen and seemed as if she were in deep thought. He guessed she was trying to figure out what it was that was causing this madness on the screen

A Congressman comment how he love to see the containment room as Mace happily exclaims how that is a great idea

"Oh the irony. If only he knew what was really going on" Ward says and wonders who the hell appointed that guy to become director

"But maybe not the best idea, Director" Coulson says before Mace can actually show them

"Excuse me" Mace tells his guests. He makes his way towards Coulson and Jemma "Guess not. What happened?

"There was an incident. Blood everywhere. Not a great time" Jemma explains

Mace eyes them both for a moment before turning back to his guests with a chuckle "Turns out it wasn’t the best idea ‘cause Agent Coulson here has a better one. Uh, who wants to step inside a real-life Quinjet?" he asks them as they all raise there hands "Let’s go" and with that the group leaves the room

Coulson waited for them to leave before turning to Jemma "Chen? Do you have any idea what set him off?" he asks her

"Have you spoken to May lately?" Jemma asks instead of answering his question

Scene switch to show Mack and Fitz walking around inside an abandoned building as Fitz comments how creepy it is

Fitz agrees with his screen self. The place did in fact look creepy

"Is anyone else getting haunted building vibes or just me?" Skye asks as a few nod their heads "Is the whole year gonna be dealing with ghosts and demons?"

"Could be worse, you could be in a cemetery and suddenly everyone comes back from the dead to kill you" Mari comments with Skye and Fitz both becoming a pale white at the thought

"That is so last season. Been there, done that" Danny says and Robbie once again has to wonder what the younger Ghost Rider has gone through

The two agents kept walking around, chatting for a bit. Fitz and Mack suddenly stop in from of a locked door, which Mack easily takes care of. The two step inside the room, looking around as Fitz makes his way towards the computers, typing away and looking at the files open "Oh, boy. Mack!" he says moving away from the screens and walking towards Mack "We got a big problem. The reactor terminals are set to- Whoa!" Fitz cried out as Mack shoots his gun at the ghost that was coming up behind Fitz

Fitz in turn looks behind him surprised, before getting out a gun of his own and aiming it around as if the ghost would come back any minute

"Great. This guy disappears. I hate these guys" Mack says with a sigh

"They're ghosts. What exactly were you expecting? For it to be simple?" Ward says before getting elbowed by Skye for his comment "It's true!"

"Where’d he go? Think you scared him off?" Fitz asked still looking around

"Not a chance" Danny, Gabe and Mari say at the same time

Mack instead asks him what are the chances of that happening as Fitz says nothing in response to that

"Very unlikely" Fitz says with a sigh

Back at HQ, May is seen tearing up the locker room, various items lying around as Coulson makes his way inside and asks " May? What’s up?"

Jemma looked at May with worry. As much as she tried to figure out what was wrong with her, Jemma just didn't have enough to work on by simply watching. She had never had to face something like ghosts somehow infecting humans... that was never part of the curriculum! 

"The base has been infiltrated. Something got in" she tells him, placing a notebook she held in her hands onto the bench

"So you thought you’d redecorate?" Coulson asks

May turns to give Coulson an unamused look as he tries to defend himself. Everyone else is either worried or curious (Ward and Danny) to really pay them any attention and as such ignore them

"Maybe somebody brought something in, something that’s getting to everyone" May explains

"And if you find it, you can destroy it" he says in realization as May nods " Always ready to do the brave thing. Always looking out for us"

"I won’t let them take you" May tells him and continues to tear the place down

"Philinda moment!" Skye whispers shouts to Jemma who in turn nodded in glee

"May, uh, what if we stop, take a minute? Rest, make a plan" Coulson says as May tells him how she can't do that and because there is no time " You know what? We have current blood samples on file for every S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, even the Director. That could help us figure out who’s been infected" when he tries to grab May's shoulder, she smacks his arm away. Coulson stares at her before continuing "We just have to go to the lab. How does that sound?"

"He’s like the woman who got Chen, so if he does come back, you can’t let him touch you" Fitz says typing on the computer before looking at Mack "You’ll go crazy. Don’t let him touch you!" Fitz cried out as the ghost of Fredrick had come back, Mack turns around as he smashed something cause air to hiss and make Fredrick disappear "He must’ve set the reactor to blow"

"What are you talking about? Blow up a building?" Mack asks in confusion

"I mean, no, it could be a couple of city blocks" Fitz says, though it was clear even he didn't seem sure

"Then what are you talking to me for, man?! Shut it down!"

"You’re the one who keeps asking me questions! I’m trying to shut it down if you give me five-" Fitz is interrupted as Mack is suddenly hit with something, causing him to tumble into the radiation reactor core as Fredrick locks him inside

Fitz tried to reason with Fredrick, telling him they can help him. Fredrick in turn doesn't believe him, stating that they can't before he disappears once again

No one says anything at this. If Fredrick doesn't want help, they can't technically force him. They could try all they want, but in the end... it's his choice

Back with Coulson and May, they had just entered the training room as May looks around before seeing two agents faces, one of them being Piper changing like they others she'd seen before "Wait. No"

"May? You all right?" Coulson asked in concern as May asks why he wants her to so badly go to the lab "I told you… so we can… Okay, look. There’s a situation you need to be aware of"

"I’m aware" May says before suddenly attacking Coulson making him fall to the ground. The rest of the agents present are surprised with two of them going to check on Coulson "And I’m gonna stop them!"

One of the agents tries to approach May to calm her down, but she doesn't let him and is instead attacked along with another agent. Coulson sees this as he exclaimed " She’s sick! Don’t hurt her!"

"Try telling her that" Gabe mumbled as he watched the poor agents get brutally knocked to the ground

May continues her attacks, with Coulson trying to make her stop and saying how they will help her as she is not well. May in turn says that she is doing what has to be done

"So am I" Mace says as he's suddenly behind May, much to her shock. She goes to punch him, but it barely does any type of damage to him as he doesn't move or even seem to feel hurt. Coulson looks on with slight surprise. May doesn't allow this to stop her as she suddenly holds a metal pole in her hand and strikes him in the face and tries again only for Mace to stop her attack by grabbing the pole an inch away from him " Agent May, I urge you to stop now"

"You’re a monster" May said punching him only for him to catch her punch

"Ouch, that's gotta hurt" Mari says in sympathy as Danny nods. He knows what it's like to be called a monster, Ghost Rider being on the receiving end of that comment more than he can count. May does seem a little guilty at her future self calling him that, even if she doesn't like the new director... he didn't deserve that comment

Mace doesn't show any emotion at her comment and says "I prefer the term Inhuman" and grabs May by the throat, lifting her up "I’m sorry about this" he apologies and smacks her on the pillar knocking her unconscious 

Coulson watches as Mace checks her pulse before commenting "Too bad you can’t put that on the tour"

Mace turns to face him "Not yet" he tells him with a tight smile with Coulson's gaze back on May

"Oh now I remember him! He's the guy you fought on that plane thing!" Gabe exclaimed turning to point at Robbie who rolls his eyes. Of course Gabe would remember that, it was after all his first time seeing the Ghost Rider up and close after watching him transform

"He's an Inhuman?" Ward asked instead catching both May and Coulson's attention

The screen switches to show a message saying the reactor core is now critical as Fitz asks where Fredrick could be, still wary as he could appear from out of nowhere

"Turbo, get me out of here!" Mack shouts still locked

Fitz moves to try and get Mack out and says "I don’t understand. He’s keeping the reactor in meltdown"

Fredrick is seen back, facing the computers before turning to Fitz and walking towards him "I won’t go back. I’ll kill you all first"

Fitz is backing away slowly "I don’t know what you mean"

"It was hell in there" Fredrick tells him, reaching out a hand to try and grab Fitz, who can no longer move away

"Fitz!" Mack screamed, pounding at the door

Jemma, Gabe and Skye were at the edge of their seats, hoping Fitz wasn't about to get ghosted and suffer like May

Suddenly a gloved hand reached out and grabbed hold of Fredrick's arm. Slowly it was revealed to be Robbie as Fredrick looked quite shocked at seeing someone able to grab him, forgetting all about Fitz. Robbie grabbed him by the throat and let his eyes blaze

"Fascinating! Somehow being the Ghost Rider allows you to come into contact with non-corporeal entities, even while you are in your human form" Jemma says in wonder. Both Robbie and Danny are seen moving slightly away from Jemma in fear of becoming her new lab experiment 

"What are you?" Fredrick asked fearfully and with a cry, Robbie let out the Spirit of Vengeance and became the Ghost Rider once more. Fitz and Mack watch with shocked and slightly fearful expressions on their faces at the transformation

"He's the guy who thought it'd be a good idea to make a deal with the devil" Gabe grumbled with crossed arms

"I will never know how you can undergo such a transformation without screaming in pain" Skye mumbled

"Trust me, it's painful" Danny says, memories of his own transformation and the pain he felt each time. He would never get use to the feeling, but he was at least being able to tolerate it

Robbie nods in agreement. He can transform easily and without pain, but if he's angered or stressed enough there is a chance that he will lose control and transform without meaning to... even seemingly feel pain

"Yeah. What are you…" Fitz asks now sitting on the ground as Ghost Rider gives him a slight glance before hearing Mack shout out "Fitz, get me out of here!" and hearing the alarms

Fitz gets over his shock, making his way around "Yeah, I got it" he grabs the wheel, but it wouldn't move "It’s stuck!"

"I really wish our roles were reversed right now"

Ghost Rider is seen creating a ball of fire as Fredrick watches on with horror

Daisy suddenly walks in and sees Mack trapped with Fitz trying to get him out. Fitz moves out of the way as Daisy uses her powers and was able to get it to open as Mack steps out

"We need to turn the reactor off" Fitz tells them, going to shut of the reactor. Daisy on the other hand watches as Ghost Rider placed his hand over Fredrick's head. This in turn causes the ghost to get covered in flames before turning to ash 

"Did you know he could do that?" Ward asked Gabe who in turn shrugged. Just because he was brother's with Ghost Rider didn't mean he knew everything about them. Heck to be honest he didn't even know the full extent of Robbie's powers now that he thought about it

Fitz was able to shut the reactor as he turns to see it slowly begin to shut down. Daisy and Mack both keep their gaze on Ghost Rider, watching him walk towards the exist before something catches his attention. He sees a photo of a group of people on the bulletin board before grabbing it and leaving 

Mack tries to go after him, but Daisy is suddenly in his way, blocking Mack from following "No. No, no, no. Don’t"

Back on the Quinjet, Mack is seen placing bandages over Daisy's arm "There. Is that too tight?" he asks, but doesn't get an answer and instead asks " So… that fire-headed Inhuman..."

"Not an Inhuman" Robbie mumbled with those closest to him chuckling

"He’s not an Inhuman. I’m not sure what he is" Daisy corrects Mack's statement

"I am. He’s a killer. That truck heist in East L.A., three people were brutally murdered" Mack tells her, Fitz looking at the two of them from behind

"What if they deserved it?"

"Is that how it is now? You’re running with a vigilante who decides who lives or dies?" Mack asks as if he's shocked she would even think such a thing

"I don't decide!" Robbie says in frustration. Sure he had a hand in a few occasions, but in the end it's Ghost Rider who decides if they will live or die

"The spirit is the one who decides" Mari says for Robbie's sake before turning to Danny "Though in his case, Ghostie isn't willing to take a human life. He will deal out vengeance, but not kill anyone who is human. However if they aren't human, then he doesn't seem to have much problem" she explains with Danny nodding at her words

"I’m not running with anyone. But he can’t be all bad. He came here tonight and he saved Fitz’s life" Daisy said, trying to defend Robbie since they didn't know him and while she didn't either, she knew him more than they did

Robbie looked surprised she would defend him. He hadn't expected that to be honest, she didn't know him or even owe him anything after all

"Yeah, but from what? What… What was that thing?" Mack inquired

Daisy's only response is that she has no idea

"S.H.I.E.L.D never covered the chapter on how to deal with ghosts" Fitz says with a sigh. Things seem so much simpler in their own timeline

Mack looks at her "Daisy, come home with us. So we can properly take care of that arm. We have a drug that can help those bones heal faster. Now, our supply keeps running low, but we’re about to..." he is saying before realization hits "But you already have it, don’t you?"

It's quiet before the trio, Daisy not denying nor confirming his words. Her silent is enough of an answer for him though "It’s Yo-Yo. She’s stealing it, and you two have been in touch this whole time. We’ve been out there looking for you, trying to protect you and put the pieces back together, and you… Why? Why are you doing this?" Mack demanded, though he 

"Because she’s turned her back on us, Mack! Because something terrible happened, and she didn’t want our help getting through it" Fitz argued as Mack tells him to slow down, but Fitz doesn't let that stop him " Well, we’ve all been through terrible things, all of us, and we’ve never turned our back!" he exclaims before leaning back on his seat and sighing

Skye stares at the screen sadly. She never thought... well it was actually nice to see others care for her

Daisy looks as if she's trying not to show her emotions, though if you see close enough it looked as if she was hurt "I-I’m doing what I need to do"

"And it still affects us. Like it or not" Mack pointed out as she says nothing at that. Daisy instead thanks him for the splint before getting up and leaving the two

May, Coulson, Jemma and Fitz look at Skye with sadness present in their eyes making her turn away

Back at S.H.I.E.L.D HQ, the tour seems to have finished as one of them asked if they could get a picture which Mace allows. Coulson is asked to take the picture as the group squeeze together " All right. Nice. Now, as tempting as it may be to post these pictures on Facebook, Snapchat, your re-election campaign website… everything you saw today is confidential. You all signed an NDA, and unlike the Climate Change Accord, this one’s enforcable. So if all goes well, we hope it does, next time we do this, it’ll be much more public. Safe ride home, my friends" and with that the group bid farewell as they leave with Mace thanking them for coming

"You got a moment?" Coulson asks with Mace saying that he does  "It’s about May. I have a plan that I think will help…"

"Oh, don’t worry, Phil. I’ve got it handled" the director tells him as the two leave the hanger bay

"The thing is, my experience can help here. I dealt with a similar situation when I…"

"When you were the Director. I know. Phil, am I getting something wrong? This was your idea. When you stepped down, you told the President you didn’t want to be the face of the Agency" Mace asks, as Coulson agrees with that statement of not wanting to be the face of the agency due to  a whole host of reasons " And you said we needed a new face. And now that Steve Rogers went AWOL, you wanted a hero"

"I said the new Director should be a powered person the public could trust. And they came up with you"

"This guy doesn't get a break does he" Danny whispered to Mari who nodded

"And now you’re stuck with me" Mace says with Coulson chuckling at this "I count on you to be one of my top advisors. There’s no one better than you, truly"

"Okay. So…" Coulson starts saying, trailing off at the end

"But when it comes to May and Daisy, you can’t be objective. And to that, I take exception. So, you focus on being the best agent we got, and I’ll focus on being the best Director I can"

Coulson can actually see where Mace is coming from. May and Skye both mean a great deal to him and maybe he can be slightly blind when it comes to them... but it's not he'll go against the mission or protocol... right? 

Coulson watches as Mace is about to leave "But what… what treatment are you implementing? How long will…"

Mace turns back to him "Hey. I’m sorry. That’s classified"

"That's gotta burn" Skye tells him as he gave her a betrayed look "You were asking for it"

"Get away from me. Get away from me. Aah! Get away from me! Get away from me! Aah! Get away!" May screams wearing what looked like a straight jacket and being tied onto a stretcher being transported to who knows where 

May just hopes that Mace does in fact have this handled as she narrowed her eyes

Daisy opens up her van door, climbing onto the driver's seat as she tries to turn it on "Come on, come on, come on, come on. Come on!" she hits the steering wheel in frustration before getting out

"That's what you get for sabotaging your own van" Robbie says in a playful tone as Skye sticks her tongue out

Suddenly a familiar black Charger is seen turning the corner and stopping before Daisy "Your friends with you?" Robbie asks her

"No. I left them" Daisy tells him

"Good. You want to know what’s connecting these things" Robbie said as Daisy says that she does. Robbie sighs before saying " I think it might be me"

Robbie opens the passenger door, inviting Daisy inside. She hesitates, Robbie not making another move and just watching to see what she would do. After a moment, Daisy gets in without a word said as soon they drive off

"And that my friends is how QuakeRider became partners in crime" Mari says as if she were narrating

"QuakeRider?" Robbie asked in confusion with Gabe covering his mouth to stop himself from laughing

"What can I say a few people ship the two of you" the brunette said with a smirk causing both Skye and Robbie to look at each other before turning away with their cheeks slightly red as they denied the idea. Mari, Gabe, Danny and even Ward all roll their eyes at the antics. However Ward did give Robbie a murderous look at the idea of him liking Skye

Before anything else could be said, Coulson decided to click on the next episode
