Summary
Ryland Grace saved Earth, but he brought home a tragedy.
At ground zero of the Blip-A coordinates, amidst the wreckage of a ship consumed by bacteria, Rocky and Grace were faced with a cruel mathematical calculation: only one ship remained, and two worlds were dying. For the sake of humanity, whose life cycle was far too short, the Eridian sacrificed his return home. He entrusted the survival of his species to four fragile little satellites hurtling across the galaxy, while he accompanied Grace back to an alien solar system.

Summary
Ryland Grace gets sick once a year.
It always starts the same way; a headache, some fatigue, nothing unusual. Then he goes to sleep and doesn’t wake up for a while. After that, it’s just a week or so of flu symptoms, and then he’s fine again.
It’s inconvenient, sure, but manageable.This is all the norm for Ryland.
But Stratt doesn’t know about it until it happens without warning.

“Do you have any siblings, Rock?” Grace hasn’t spoken for hours, not since he curled up beside the glass separating him and Rocky. Not since he pulled his patchwork quilt around his body and laid his head on his pillow so he could watch Rocky sleep.
He wasn’t expecting the Eridian to still be awake, and yet, he heard a soft little musical chord, soft, like he was tired. After the day they’d had, studying the Taumoeba, they were both exhausted, and it was when Grace was sleepy, that he thought about Earth.
“♪♩ ♫♪♫ ♪♩ ♪?”
“No it is very hard for Eridian have sibling. Often one egg all life. Grace have sibling question?”
Grace thought about home, about his brother, whose blood was his blood, whose face was his face. “I had a twin brother. That means… basically… there’s another Grace out there.”
