Stupidly in love with you

Summary:

(Hiatus)

The new fifth year is a curious bug, a sponge for knowledge, it was no suprise where she will be sorted. Being muggleborn and learning about the wizard world in a week was exhilirating to say the least. It did not take so long for her to be thrown in to ancient magic, the wonder of wizard kind and its cruelty. And last but not the least her Hogwarts life with her new friends.

And maybe a bit of an infatuation to a certain blind slytherin.

Notes:

This fanfic might or will include inconsistencies for i am not a harry potter nerd. Just a stinky Hogwarts Legacy only player. I apologise for it but i do search to the best of my abilities.

Oh and english is not my first language plus i'm studying another language exam.

Spellings and grammar might well be clunky and wrong. Also i edit this on my own so yeah...

Hope you guys enjoy.

Chapter Text

"You belong in- Ravenclaw!" The hall burst into claps and cheers but it was mostly from the table where students wore blue. The atmosphere alone, this was a prestigious event for wizardkind and of traditional importance. In that, she would never understand the necessity of a sorting ceremony and the privilege she had gotten. Muggleborned to a core, the established houses are futile decorations. People are malleable and can change often, so everyone could have the bravery of a Gryffindor, the ambition of a Slytherin, the loyalty of a Hufflepuff, and the mind of a Ravenclaw, in a given moment.

"Hermm, without a doubt, Ravenclaw." She barely heard the hat's mumbles. The headmistress took the grumbling sorting hat off from her black long braided hair.

Headmaster Black had a speech and told all the students to prepare for tomorrow. In contrast to the prickly headmaster, professor Weasly guided the new student to her common room. It was a lot of stairs, but it was all worth it seeing her common room entrance. The golden raven riddled her worth of entry. She answered it with ease and confindence. It opened the door.

"Impressive."

"I've heard the riddle before, my father loved a good mind scratcher." Professor Weasly's face softened to sorrow.

"It must have been difficult to live without a father nor know about wizard kind in a week." She shrugged upon the professor's comment which made the headmistress raise a brow.

"Yes, but it did satisfy my curiosity about who my father was." The professor reached to her shoulder and patted her with a smile.

"Better you get some rest. Tomorrow will be a busy day in turn I'll come to collect you for your next class." Hopefully, it won't be as eventful as fighting stone knights and pissing off a goblin leader.

"Thank you professor Weasly." Saying their goodbye, she headed straight for her bed.

The night was peaceful and serene. Being thrown into this world was as corny as it might sound, it was like magic. This was the very same school her father went to. She just hope her mom could pay for some of the tuition and her dog, oh how she misses her. Her eyes weighed more and more with each passing minute, falling into a deep sleep.

.....

It would seem like all of the Ravenclaw students were nice, or rather busy with their studies. Though three Ravenclaw students caught her eye. After meeting with professor Weasly and getting the book. She went straight to the Defense against the dark arts. As the name suggests, it won't be learning by the book. Noises were already being heard from the room's corridor. It was a Gryffindor dueling with a Slytherin, how lovely.

Thankfully before someone got hurt from the falling dragon head, professor Hecat began her lesson. Levioso.

Wand at hand, she had it covered by a bit of sweat. Yes, she could fight with a wand, see with revelio and make light with lumos but she is setting low expectations on completing this task. Wizarding and magic just can't be wand movement and saying the word right, right? Looking at the feather in front she began her spell.

"Levioso" Her eyes trailed on the floating feather. A breathless small laugh escapes her lips.

"Now let us try something a little larger." The former unspeakable waved her wand to make room for the next lesson. In the corner of her eye, she noticed a boy almost falling. She grabbed his left wrist, preventing a misfortune. Looking at him clearer, she noticed his pupil was ashen gray. Is he blind? Can he magic the same like them?

"Ah, thank you." Even though he is blind, he knew she was staring. So he waited a bit but there was no response what so ever. It was getting awkward. He warranted attention with a cough while slightly moving his wrist.

Her cheeks flared up and she let go of him.

"Professor Hecat was making room for a dummy." She explained whilst turning to Hecat, seeing all the students have their turn hitting the dummy. Thankfully he nodded off the awkwardness.

"Very good, but the best way to practice is by dueling."

"We'll start with the two of you." She pointed at the new fifth year and the Slytherin fighting earlier.

"It's time for a proper Hogwarts welcome." She scoffed at his confidence.

It was her first duel against a wizard but she felt more assured in a battle than learning a spell. Raising their wand, the fight began with their basic attack hitting each others pretego. Getting the rhythm of her enemy, a perfect parry presented itself.

"Stupefy!" She cast levioso and plundered him with combos. It didn't take too long for him to fall off the table.

"Well done." Her grin reached ear to ear but remembered his dueling partner. Going over where he fell, she reached out a hand. He grabbed it lifting himself up.

"Not bad for a beginner. You give as good as you get." There was an expectation of him being a sore loser but he acted as a respectful and genuine duelist.

Professor Hecat beckons for the new student and gave her her assignments. Weirdly enough she went back to the duelist she defeated named Sebastian. After talking a bit more, he revealed a secret fight club. She began to see what Professor Hecat was doing.

"Exclusive and unsanctioned? Count me in." He further explains the whereabouts of the exclusive unsanctioned dueling organisation and his odd fixation on a restrictive part of the library.

"I'm sure I'll see you soon." Leaving the class, she can't help but look for the blind Slytherin she met.

Everyone was heading to the next class, charms. At the top of the staircase, she saw him holding his wand. He was with Sebastian, it is obvious as both Slytherin are friends. A red pulsing light emanate from his wand, so curious, she thought. The train of thought crashed when she crashed on a pillar. Her bum and elbow landed on the floor, as others passed and laughed a person came into her view.

"Are you okay?" A girl with an accent lends a hand, a Gryffindor.

"Oh! Thanks!" Rubbing her forehead and pulling the girl's hand, she smiled.

"Natsai Onai. and you?"

"Yor Naym, nice meeting you." Both went up the stairs and continued.

"Seems like your eyes were glued to something."

"Ah, just looking at some interesting things in the castle." It was not a lie, she thought. Natsai smirked as she glanced at the boys she was staring at.

"Hogwarts is indeed an interesting place and it's almost up to par with my last school Uagadou." Yors eyes lit up and grinned.

"You transferred her? when? Is Uagadou and Hogwarts that different? Is there a difference of magic you use there? why did you tranfer? Is it as big as Ho-" The girl chuckled at the new fifth year's mountain of questions.

"Okay, okay. I'll answer all of those questions, but we need to focus on charms for now." She pointed at the room in front of them, Yor frowned.

"We can talk more at lunch." As always a Gryffindor is sticking up the rules. Or was that ravenclaw?

The lesson was more or less eventful, the charms professor, Ronen, was a joy to learn from. Accio is a summoning charm, pretty useful and deadly if used right. After DADA class, newfound confidence let her way in learning the spell. As confidence follows, so do mistakes. The spell did work but it got too much power and slammed on her forehead.

"Seems like today is not a day for your forehead." Yor playfully glared at her while taking the blasted book. "Accio" Natsai perfectly got the book from her.

"Your teasing was mean but that was a good accio." The Gryffindor nodded with a smile.

"How about we little excursion- outside for a spot of fresh air." It was not a little excursion but a match of summoners' court. Having the first-year student start off, made the girl nervous. She would not let a giant ball accio its way to her head. Her attempt was lukewarm, professor Ronen noticed so he brought Natsai into a competition.

"cool..." Sarcastic as she said it, the game riveting. Natsai was winning with 100 points and it was her last turn. There was no way she could win this, but Natsai's 50 points ball was near the edge. She can't win but she will not lose face either. Her last ball rolled to the red ball and slowed down, enough to hit it over.

"A tie. Well done both." Yor looked in Natsai's direction, and she pouted. Professor Ronen is leading the student back to charms. The two followed him and the class.

"It is part of the rules to roll over your enemy's ball. But I would rather not. Well played at the very least." She laughed at her complaint and thanked her for the compliment.

"I guess this was revenge for my teasing huh?"
