Work Text:
Music was blaring inside the dorm enough to be heard by the staff members. However, they were all too busy worrying about the Headmaster getting admitted to the hospital because one of the students had stabbed the old man but that's a story for a different day.
Teenagers were drunkenly dancing and making out with each other under the blazing lights. The party, of course, was hosted by none other than weed boy, Scott. One of the drunk students was our beloved Trent. Who would've thought the most responsible guy in the whole school would get drunk at a party? Guess he decided to loosen up since it's a Friday, right before the weekend.
A short, dark-haired girl across the bar he was leaning against caught the tall boy's eye. In a swift motion, he slid against the bar and appeared next to her.
"Hey there, beautiful," He slurred with a drunken voice
Sky looked at him confused, never expecting to see him talking to her that way but grateful to see her favourite person here nonetheless.
"Oh, hey Trent." The confused tone was evident in her greeting, seeing the man so out of it
Trent brings his cup in front of his mouth and then proceeds to ask
"How's the party going for you?"
Before sipping on the culprit, that was the cause of his unusual behaviour
"It's going good!
She takes a few seconds watching him drink the cup he has before quietly asking
"Are you ... drunk?"
A drunken smile appears on Trent's face as he stops sipping and flicks his green eyes at her.
"Seems like you're a detective, huh?"
Sky rolls her eyes at his words
"I think that's enough alcohol for you."
"Noooo!" The taller whines but doesn't stop her from taking away his cup.
Sky turns her back on him for a second to put away the cup until she feels strong arms around her waist.
In a muffled voice, Trent's deep drunk yet soothing voice can be heard as he shoves his face against her back.
"You're warm."
The shorter yelps from the sudden embrace
"TRENT! Don't scare me like that!"
"Sorryyy" the other apologise though she's not exactly sure if he meant it
"Don't you have anything else to do at this party?"
Trent gave her a tired smile
"Pfft no, the only thing I wanted to do was drink, but since you made me stop, I guess the only thing I wanna do is stay like this with you. Boop!"
Sky's face flushes red as he boops her nose and buries his face between her neck and shoulder.
She looked at him with folded eyebrows as if she were worried about him. Of course, she's not his partner. Why would she think of that? I mean- anyway.
"I think it's better that you leave and go back to your dorm to rest and maybe sober up?" She replied with a caring tone
Trent thinks for a second before adding
"I will if you come back with me?"
Sky splutters at his request.
Would that be a good idea? Go to a guy's dorm just to help him get some sleep and sober up? This is Trent we're talking about, the most respectful guy in school. He wouldn't do anything to her.
Sky couldn't make up her mind before her mouth spluttered out
"Sure."
The taller's expression brightens up before he yells out
"Well, let's go then!" And proceeds to take her hand as he drags her to his dorm that was 2 doors away from Scott's party
《♡》
"Here we are!" His voice boomed out across his dorm as the music from the party continued to play between the thin walls.
Trent steps inside with Sky following him as she looks around.
"You go to your room while I'll go get you a drink to get you better, okay?"
The latter nods in response before walking away to his own space. Sky finds the sink without difficulty as the layout for the dorms are all the same.
As she collects the aspirin and water, her mind was whirling thinking about her what's about to come .
'It's not looking to be that bad it's just a drunken Trent. He's not trying to do anything to you, and even if he attempts to do something, you can tell him to stop. He'll listen. God, this is so difficult.'
With a newfound determination, she started walking confidently into his room without any difficulty. However, her walk abruptly stopped as she arrived in front of his room. His door was wide open and she saw the taller was taking off his shirt! Shit.
The shorter lets out a small gasp before backtracking behind the wall next to the wide open door. Her heartbeat was racing, and feeling flustered, she takes a deep breath and goes to knock on his door, her face still flushed red.
The said man turns around noticing the shorter and happily greets her
"Oh hey Sky, you got the water?"
She nods timidly in response, walking into the room and handing the glass of water over to the half-naked man in front of her. After accepting it, he thanks her and drinks it without hesitation as he walks to his bed.
The other watches before hesitantly asking the main cause of her flustered-ness
"So... why aren't you wearing a shirt?"
The latter abruptly stops drinking and looks at her with a raised eyebrow
"Is it bothering you?"
"No!" She immediately answered
"Of course not! I was just wondering."
Her face was a deeper shade of red now
Trent smiles at her and then looks down at his lap
"If it doesn't bother you then your face wouldn't be so red." He added, flicking his eyes up at her with a smug look on his face
"Jus- just answer the question!!" She managed to splutter out
Trent gave her a chuckle in response before properly answering her question
"I don't know, I don't usually wear a shirt when I go to bed and it's hot right now anyways so the shirt's gotta go."
"Uh r-right."
There was a short silence between them before Trent broke it with an apology
"Sorry you had to leave the party early so you could take care of me." his face had a guilty look and his voice was so timid, it was definitely genuine.. for a really ridiculous reason
"Oh, it's alright really. At least you're not so drunk you're throwing up everywhere."
Trent laughed at her remark and it brought a smile to her face hearing his laugh and not.. whatever drunk flirting he trying to do earlier. Though it was pleasing getting called beautiful by him.
"Well I'm done finishing this acid, I'm gonna put it in the sink. Don't want any of us kicking it on accident, do we?"
He got up from the bed and starts walking out of the room. Sky gives him a nod in his direction as he left.
Sky spent the moment alone looking around the man's private space. There were band posters on the walls and his guitar was on the floor next to his bed.
There were many books on his cupboard and his nightstand had a framed picture of a blonde woman with bright green eyes. His nightstand was also home to many song lyrics and music sheets.
"Hey, I was just wondering if-"
"You wrote these?" The shorter interrupted him with a fond smile on her face
"Um yes, yes I did." The other nodded with a shy smile
"Wow. . ." She looks back at the pieces of papers
"They're pretty cheesy in my opinion. And I'd understand as to why you probably dislike it-"
"No, no I think it's great! Consider yourself lucky I'm not gonna ask you to sing one of these since I know your brain is close to shutting down."
"No, it's not." He retorted even though his sleepy face proved her accusation
He walks to his bed and lies down. He pats the open space next to him while looking at her expectantly.
"O-oh! You sure?" She looks at him with a hesitant look
"Of course, the walk to the girls' dorm is pretty long and it's really late so... I thought it's better if you stay the night?"
He reasoned mirroring her hesitant look
She giggles and accepts before climbing onto his bed.
"You're sure, you're okay with this?-" She asks before getting interrupted
"I'm sure as giving you a kiss-"
"Woah easy there tiger. Take me to dinner first." They both laughed, a fond look present on each other's faces.
"Well, good night Sky."
"Good night Trent, good luck with the hangover tomorrow."
In response, he flashed her a smile before Sky turned her back to him.
Despite Trent feeling hot, the other however was shivering a little to the cold temperature. Thankfully the taller noticed and wrapped his arm around her waist.
Sky's face turned slightly pink before she snuggled back into the man's body behind her and fell into a comfortable slumber.
